Happy Halloween!!!

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Halloween is finally here!
As we took our daily walk last evening I noticed so many houses in our neighborhood that are decorated for Halloween. Actually there are many around Red Lion that are but especially in our neighborhood. I'm not sure what to expect tonight for Trick or Treat Night but it's going to be warmer than it has in the past so that will be nice! Kelsey and the girls she works with are dressing up as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at the restaurant. I hope she sends me a picture....I will share it here if she does!

Anyways, here is the last baby's 1st Halloween card for this year that Audrey requested.
Again, I pulled out my retired Harvest Hello's stamp set and some retired Witches Brew DSP and went to work with scraps!

Card Details:

Stamps: Harvest Hello's (retired), Sentiment computer generated
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Witches Brew DSP (retired)

I also wanted to share a Halloween fun fold card!

I have been making it my life's mission to use up my Halloween paper stash and I found this paper from Stampin Up and decided to use just scrap pieces because that's all I have left of it!

Special Fall Birthday

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another pretty day is on tap here in Pennsylvania! Last evening we took our daily walk around the neighborhood and noticed many of the trees are almost bare. We've seen so many piles of leaves raked and put out at the curb for the leaf truck to come suck them up. Sometimes it surprises me that kids aren't out jumping in them! I remember doing that as a young one. LOL

Today I have a pretty Fall birthday card to share that Audrey requested for a family member.
This was kept simple because that is how she likes them so I left the paper do all the work.

Of course I could not let this Fall season go by without using this paper from The Paper Studio which I found at Hobby Lobby. It's definitely the perfect piece for Fall, don't you think? I added it to my card base then used a sentiment from the retired Framed Florets stamp set along with a Daffodil Delight bow which I added some Linen Thread to it and attached it. Audrey loved that paper and so do I!!

Today I am back to my stamp table as soon as I get moving! I slept in way too long today. Never even heard Shawn get up for work this morning. It's not often I sleep in anymore but I suppose I must have needed those extra hours! And with the time change coming Sunday it's going to throw things off yet again.

2 more days until the trick or treaters come out! Are you ready?!
We will hand candy out as we do every year but we are lucky to get maybe 20 at most.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Tis the Season

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
It sure was chilly here in PA this weekend and with the cooler temps comes the falling leaves. I think we are at peak for the color of the leaves as well. I don't think they got as vibrant since it's been quite dry in my area. Many trees are already empty so it won't be too much longer before the trees are completely bare.

I have a Christmas card to share that I made recently. It uses lots of retired items as I am trying to use what's in my stash.

Card Details:

Stamps: Brightest Glow (retired)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Basic White, Traditions of St. Nick DSP ( retired)
Accessories: Labels Aglow Dies (retired), Spotlight on Nature Dies, Christmas Tidings EF (retired), Gold Sequins, Gold Trim, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My DSP is retired from last year and I found these 2 scraps in the bottom of the pack. I think this may have been the first time I used this embossing folder. It's so pretty and of course, there is a gingerbread guy on it which I covered with my DSP. LOL

I am making a pot of Chicken Corn Soup this morning for supper to help warm us up!
It's been chilly the last few days. Then I am headed to my stamp table to play. Saturday I stamped as long as my hands would allow me too! I worked on a 3D project which I will share once I get some pictures taken. Today I am gonna work on a few cards with a new to me fun fold. So excited!!

Can you believe that it is the last Monday of October?!
Crazy how fast time flies by!

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

So glad the weekend is upon us!
After a busy week I am looking forward to a little bit of down time. Tomorrow we have some errands to run in the morning then I hope to do some crafting in the afternoon, if all goes as planned! I picked up some Christmas candy this week and would like to get working on some treats.

Today I want to share a pretty fun fold Christmas card with you!
I used a variety of retired products for this and I loved the outcome!

Card Details:

Stamps: Merriest Moments (retired), Hero Arts (sentiment inside)
Ink: Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Boughs of Holly DSP (retired), Wrapped in Plaid DSP (retired)
Accessories: Merriest Frames Hybrid EF (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Gold Sequins, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This stamp set has always been a favorite of mine and it surely brings a smile to my face each time I put those poinsettia's together!

With Sympathy

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

So sorry for not updating yesterday. Tuesday evening we had to take the living room furniture down to the family room since the new furniture was scheduled to come on Wednesday.
While we were downstairs we noticed the boiler/furnace was leaking water. I had a feeling something was wrong because on Monday I had heat turned on downstairs and it was quite cold down there. The mornings have been quite chilly/frosty lately and with this injection I am cold 90% of the time. I just did not think anything of it because the daytime temps have been hitting mid 70's. Once we saw the water leaking I knew something was off. So, yesterday the guy came that Shawn uses at work for HVAC stuff and had us back in business within 20 minutes. YAY! We have heat again! Oh, and the living room furniture is so nice! This is my second set of Lazy Boy furniture and it's just so well built and comfortable! Here is to another 20 years! LOL

Today, Shawn is back to work and I am set to watch 2 good Hallmark Christmas movies this morning then get some crafting done....at least that's the plan!
I wanted to share a card from World Cardmaking Day with you that the girls & I made. It was another quick & easy one!

Card Details:

Stamps: Lasting Lily (retired), Autumn Leaves (Million Dollar Sales Achiever Set)
Ink: Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Basic White, Iconic Celebrations DSP (Online Exclusives), Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper
Accessories: Autumn Leaves Dies, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Guess I better get my butt moving....lots to do today!

Happy Halloween Cards

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

So sorry for the late update today. I am feeling a bit under the weather but wanted to share these 2 Halloween cards I made for Audrey's 2 little great granddaughters. Since they are only 1 year old I did not want anything spooky for them so I again used the sweet jack o' lantern from the retired Harvest Hello's set. I think I used this set more this year than in years past!

Card Details:

Stamps: Harvest Hello's (retired)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Archival (retired)
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Basic Black, Plaid Tidings DSP (retired)
Accessories: To Every Season Mini Punches (retired), Apple Builder Punch (retired), A Wish For Everything Dies (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Black Twine, Adhesive Sheets, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Again she was pleased with these cards for the girls! They just make me smile!

Anniversary Cards for Fall

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope that you had a nice weekend! The weather around here was beautiful!
Today I have a set of Anniversary Cards that I made for Audrey. She said she was completely out of them and wanted something geared towards Fall. I found 2 sheets of this Echo Park paper and thought they would make pretty cards!

Card Details:

Stamps: Many Mates (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: More Mustard (retired), Basic White, Really Rust (retired), Leaves-Echo Park
Accessories: Polka Dot EF (retired), Stitched with Whimsy Dies, Nested Essentials Dies, Autumn Leaves Dies, Champagne Rhinestones (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

More Mustard has been retired for many years now and as I went to get a few whole sheets of cardstock from it's folder I found these small pieces already embossed. I must have embossed them and never used them until now! More Mustard was always a favorite color for Fall and i'm glad that it worked well for this set for Audrey!

Decorative Trees Starburst Card

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

This is the day I have been waiting for!
Today is the start of the Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel!
If you know me you know I am a huge fan of the Hallmark Channel and watch it everyday!
The new movies start tonight which I am most excited for but they started playing movies at 6am this morning which I am watching as I type this. I kinda live for this time of the year! LOL I went to the Hallmark store here in Red Lion yesterday and got the new blanket & coffee mug. I have a blanket & mug from about 4 years ago which I do use everyday! It was time for a new one though! Happy Hallmark Christmas Movie Watching!

So, yesterday I did not post since Shawn was off but we got the call that our new living room furniture is ready for delivery! YAY!! It will get delivered next Wednesday.
Also got the results from my bloodwork that I had done Tuesday at my doctor appointment!
A1c is still holding strong and I'm in diabetic remission even though I will always be diabetic. Doctor is pleased with my progress but did tell me I will be on this medication the rest of my life. She took me off my blood pressure medicine which I have been on since I was 30 years old and I feel alittle odd saying that. I am to monitor my numbers and if they go back up I am to restart my meds. I still take a thyroid pill 6 days a week for hypothyroidism which I have also been on since I was 30. That medicine may be the next one to go. I'll be more than happy to take a once a week shot the rest of my life if I do not have to take anymore pills! She kept me at my same dose of 7.5 mg of Mounjaro which I am perfectly fine with. I will go back to see her in February.

Anyways, I know your here to see some crafty goodness so let's get to it!
In honor of the Hallmark Christmas movies starting today I wanted to share a holiday card to go with it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Decorative Trees (Million Dollar Achiever Stamp Set)
Ink: Garden Green, Real Red
Cardstock: Thich Basic White, Real Red, Garden Green, Basic White, Festive Glimmer Paper, Take A Bow DSP
Accessories: Decorative Trees Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love the prints in the Take A Bow DSP because of the traditional red & greens for Christmas. I decided to make this card into a Starburst type of card which I think is very eye catching. I do think my diecut tree gets a bit lost in the mix but it's still pretty and a great bundle from this years Holiday Mini Catalog!

Today is laundry day along with movie watching day!
A quick supper tonight of mac & cheese and a bag of wings that Ryan likes from Sam's Club. Tomorrow Miss Bailee has grooming 1st thing. She's in major need of a bath and a haircut and will feel like a million bucks when she's done!
Busy, busy, busy!

My thoughts today...

This is the 1st movie that will be on at 8pm tonight!
So excited!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Thoughtful Journey

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have the 2nd card to share that we made on World Cardmaking Day.
This one was pretty easy! I pulled out my pack of Thoughtful Journey DSP and whipped up a quick card with it for the girls to make. I did embossed the one panel with the retired Tasteful Textile 3D EF because I love that it adds just a bit a texture to a card!

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Birdhouse
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Basic White, Thoughtful Journey DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Pretty Peacock Sequins (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's always nice to let the paper do all the work, too!
This was a favorite!

*******************************

My doctor appointment went well last evening.
I have the same nurse each time I go and she is just such a sweetheart!
She is so gentle when doing my bloodwork and she loves to talk to Shawn & I!
I honestly think she spent more time with us than my doctor did!
I will update more about my check up once I get the results of my bloodwork back.

Afterwards we went to Kelsey's work and grabbed some dinner. Since I had a good doctor appointment I treated myself to a big meal for a change....Ribeye with a baked sweet potato & broccoli and a small cup of Beef Orzo soup. The soup was so hearty & just warmed the soul (on such a chilly day). The dinner was very good and I ended up taking home half my ribeye & broccoli. That will be lunch today!
Shawn is off today to go get the last of his tattoo finished. We may do a trip to Sam's Club once he's done since I need a few things. I like to get all my shopping done during the week so the weekends are free to do whatever!

Happy Birthday Fun Fold

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday turned out to be quite the blustery day!
I felt like I was in a Winnie the Pooh story! LOL
It also got much colder as the day went on and the leaves were just flying off the trees!
We did manage to get a walk in right before it got dark out so that was good but boy, was it cold! Today it is definitely much calmer out.

I am sharing a card that we made on World Cardmaking Day which was Saturday October 5th. I had my 2 good friends over to make some cards which I try to do every year. This is the 1st card we made because it is a fun fold card and a bit more complicated to make.

Card Details:

Stamps: Very Best Occasions (retired), Irresistible Blooms (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, BoHo Blue, Basic White, Countryside Inn DSP
Accessories: Irresistible Blooms Dies (Online Exclusives), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The girls did a beautiful job with making their cards!
I may have a Christmas get together to make some cards in December if I am not to crazy busy!

Tonight I am off to my doctor appointment for a check up and then hitting the local diner for a quick supper out. I've been hungry for a good bowl of soup and since the chilly weather has set in it may be the perfect day for it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
