Lost a good bit of weight since last July but has a terrible ear infection! Lots of ear cleaning, ointment and antibiotics for the next 3 weeks and a change in her food since she is now a senior poochie and surprising she loves it! 1 doggie shot and she was out the door. She got lots of treats after that!! :)

Well, that's all for now!
Maybe i'll be back later to post...we shall see!

Color Challenge 331

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day. The colors are: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobbler. Love these colors but I really struggled with them. The dessert option is Christmas in July. I've seen some really pretty cards so far but i've found it alittle tough. I may try to play with these colors again later.

Stamps: Angelic Joy (set #85)

Shawn's Restless Leg was acting up durning the night and eventually about 4am I had enough and got up. I made him breakfast and sent him off to work so I think now my bed is calling me back for a quick nap! :)

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific Tuesday!

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope your all having a great day so far!
I made my way to my stamp room to finally get my Our Creative Corner Challenge started after putting it off all weekend. I had this idea in my mind and was afraid i'd lose it. LOL
Kristen from the OCC Blog themed this weeks challenge " A White Party" and we could only use white and a neutral color ink. I recently got this Lattice Die from SU and seen this cross made many times with it so I just had to give it a try!

I had to take my card outside to get a half decent picture. For me, white is so hard to photograph so this is the best I could get...
I cut my cross out of the Lattice Die, added my white satin ribbon with a pearl brad to the center of the cross & 2 Kaiser white pearls to kinda even it out. I popped the cross up on dimensionals and added the sympathy sentiment with Sahara Sand ink and it was finished. I'm quite happy with it! Thanks Kristen for an awesome challenge this week! :)

Our Creative Corner Challenge Card:

Stamps: Petite Pairs
Ink: Sahara Sand
Cardstock: PTI White
Accessories: SU Lattice Die, Pearl Brad, Kaiser White Pearls, Satin White Ribbon, Dimensionals

That's all for now....i'm headed back to my stamp table for more fun!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Free 4 All Challenge #72

Good Morning & Happy TGIF!!!

Today's Free 4 All Challenge was themed "Good Ole Summertime"! Dawn thought we should do a card/project with something in mind that we did as a child durning the summer time months. It's funny, Vicki & I were just talking about making a door hanger with something related to summer and I had talked about kids in a pool or something watermelon. Things I can relate to as a child. I remember days of swimming and then having watermelon as a treat in the evenings after a long hot summer day! Soooooo, I found in my stash this Seed Packet template already stamped with a SU watermelon image and the door hanger came to life!
I covered my wooden door hanger with some Garden Green Patterns 12 X 12 DSP and added a piece of Whisper White punched with the Martha Stewart Doily Punch and added red rhinestones and my sentiment. Also threw in there a button and some different red gingham ribbons that were in my stash. The gingham really brings it to life with eating watermelon on the picnic table covered with a red gingham tablecloth! I love the turnout and loved going back to something happy as a child! And now I also have a new door knob hanger to place on my front door! WooHoo!

Free 4 All Challenge 72 Door Knob Hanger:

Stamps: unknown SU watermelon image, Sentiment from Lockhart Stamp Co
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Garden Green & Real Red SU Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, SU Whisper White, Garden Green Patterns DSP
Accessories: Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, PTI Button, Various Gingham Ribbons, Red Rhinestones, Martha Stewart Doily Punch, Sanding Block, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Hope you like! I know I loveeee it!

Well, that's all for me today!
Off to grab a quick nap then got alot going on today!
Happy Friday, friends & thanks for stopping by!

Ways to Use It Challenge 330

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's a rainy morning here in Joplin but a much needed rain at that! Things are so dry from the last 6 weeks of heat & humidity that the grass is turning brown and leaves are falling from the trees already. At this point i'd be happy with a week's worth of it but that's not gonna happen.

Anyways, today is the Ways to Use It Challenge. Our challenge hostess themed it "Doilies Deluge". After stewing on it a few minutes I knew exactly what I wanted to do! I used a new set called Cherish Friendship, cut it out with my Circle Nestibilities and layered it on top of a square doily that I have had for many years that came from one of the Amish stamp stores back in PA. I added some beautiful sheer ribbon that I got at Hobby Lobby and some Kaiser White Pearls and called it done! Quick, simple and easy! LOL

Ways to Use It Challenge 330 Card:

Stamps: Cherish Friendship (set #83)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: PTI White (card base), Cherry Cobbler, Neenah White
Accessories:Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibilties, Square Doily, Sheer White Ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Kaiser White Pearls, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
I've been busy, busy, busy in my craft room working on more things for the craft show! I'm so excited! I'll share them with you in the weeks ahead!! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific Thursday!

Sketch Challenge 340

Hello again!
Today is Sketch Challenge day at SCS. The layout & my sample is below.
Take a look...

I made this card for Kelsey whom we just found out graduated high school from the University of Missouri! It's been a rough year for her so I wanted to make sure I got a card made in honor of a big milestone in her life.
She started high school back home at Eastern York High School. Completed 2 1/2 months before we signed her out to move to Joplin. We gave her a choice of either attending Joplin High School for the remainder of the year or do an online high school program. After much consideration she chose the online program at the University of Missouri.
It was tough at times getting things done because now she was teaching herself instead of a teacher doing it but she had alot of help thru her online teachers and completed the credits she needed to finish high school.
While we were back home in PA it was tough for her to see her friends nearing graduation and preparing for what was down the road for them. A tough pill for any parent to have to watch their child not being their for their high school graduation with classmates he or she have known since preschool. It makes me cry to think about it. She had many invites to attend graduation parties of friends but as it turned out we would soon be heading back to MO.
She weathered the storm and got back to MO to finish up what she needed to do to get her diploma and now see what life throws at her. We know she wants to attend Penn State York but hasn't really figured out a major yet. We also thought maybe come the fall she could enroll in spring classes because hopefully by then we would be back living in PA. As of now that dream of hers will be on hold until Shawn finishes what he needs to do here in MO so we can return back home. I'm still hoping that our return is sooner rather than later! In the meantime we are encouraging her to try to pick up a job so that helps with the time passing by. We are very proud of her and her accomplishments. This year has been filled with lots of unknowns and upside downs and she seems to keep pushing ahead, smiling at that!

Way to go, Kelsey! We are so very proud of you & your accomplishments!
The world is yours to conquer!

Sketch Challenge 340 Card:

Stamps: Happy Grad (set #81), Sketch an Event (set #82)

Accessories: Corner Rounder, Brilliant Blue Grosgrain, Summer Sun Corduroy Button, SU Scallop Trim Border Punch, Scor Tape

Oh I also used the colors of Eastern High School for her card.
