JOY

Hello & a Happy Sunday to you!

Today is Shawn and I's 29th wedding anniversary!
Nothing special planned since it's so stinkin hot out.

Today I have another pretty pack of cards to share with you!
Yep, another pack for my Christmas in July series.

This set uses a retired stamp called JOY.

This set is one that caught my eye way back when it was out but I did not have it.
I was able to borrow it from a friend and I remember having some glittery embossing powder and playing around with it! It always created some beautiful cards!
Recently I found it and did not think twice on getting it. Only thing is, this set is missing the sentiment that goes with it. I didn't realize it until I looked at it in the Stampin Up 2000-2001 catalog.
It's still a winner in my book!

Card Details:

Stamps: JOY (retired), Season's Greetings (retired- sentiment)
Ink: Baroque Burgundy (retired), Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Baroque Burgundy (retired), Gold Foil Paper, Festive Finery DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Heat Gun, Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Along with my Festive Finery DSP, I also used some retired Baroque Burgundy ink and cardstock for these. Burgundy is a beautiful color for Christmas cards and sadly, I do not have much cardstock left.
I did have to reink my inkpad since it was a tad on the dry side but thankfully I had a whole bottle of refill!! It turned out to be a good day for stamping!

My thoughts today....

Yep, another scorcher!

Thanks for stopping by & stay cool, friends!

Beautiful! Love the deep rich color, especially with the gold accent. If you're like me, you have plenty of sentiments to fill in for that missing one, LOL!

What a pretty card! I remember this set but didn't click with it for some reason, so I didn't buy it. I think the large JOY intimidated me and I didn't know what to do with it.
Congrats on your anniversary - I hope you got my card in time! It's a shame it's just too darned hot to do much of anything on a day like this, but I hope you had fun anyway :)

At this point, my friend, you have to be close to having all of your holiday cards completed... I am jealous! Shawn can never say you were not HOT on your special day...LOL! Hope you both found some cool ways to celebrate. As for this card, it is amazing! Another fantastic oldie.
