Watercolor Melon

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I hope your having a great week so far!
I took some time off blogging to give my hands a bit of a rest.
Monday I sat and watched the Dali ship in Baltimore leave to make the trip to Norfolk, Virginia to be repaired after hitting the Francis Scott Key Bridge and it collapsing on it on March 26th. It sat in the Baltimore Harbor for almost 3 months to the day of the accident so I was happy to see it make that voyage out and down the Chesapeake Bay! The ship was supplied with a whole new crew and the trip went well. I will continue to follow the updates!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made last week using the Watercolor Melon SaleABRation stamp set from January & February of this year. I have had this set since December when demo's could preorder it but I waited until watermelon season to break it open! Yummy! I am a huge fan of watermelon and eat it most every morning for breakfast. Actually Miss Bailee loves it too so we share it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Watercolor Melon (SAB 24), Heartfelt Hello's (SAB 24), Sketched Plaid Background
Ink: Garden Green, Melon Mambo, Versamark, Basic Black Archival (retired)
Cardstock: Garden Green, Basic White, The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Garden Green Ribbon (retired), Melon Mambo Enamel Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Stampin Seal

The watermelon paper came from Hobby Lobby incase your interested. It was a fun surprise the last time I went shopping there. I thought it paired well with my watermelon slices!
And who doesn't love watermelon?

Dinosaur Birthday

 Good Saturday Morning, Everyone!

I know I am sounding like a broken record but we are in for more very hot & humid weather today! I am hoping for some a thunderstorm because the grass is turning brown & getting crispy. It seems awfully early in the summer season for such hot weather and no rain.
Anyways, Shawn & I are headed out this morning to Home Depot & Walmart then back home. I am hoping to get back to the stamp table today. I spent all afternoon there yesterday!

Today I have another cutie patootie card to share that was made for Audrey's order. The very last card she requested was one for her great granddaughter, Malia. She wasn't sure when I was going to be in her way with another card order and wanted to make sure I she had a card for her 1st birthday which is coming in July. Can't believe that little one will be 1 already! We had a chance about 2 months ago to meet little Malia and she is just the sweetest! She even had her ears pierced! Anyways, Audrey informed me that she loves dinosaurs and has a pink one that she carries with her. I immediately thought of the Dinoroar Bundle that was out a few years ago!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic White, Old Olive, Dinoroar DSP (retired)
Accessories: Dino Dies (retired), Diorama Dies (retired), Dinoroar Enamel Shapes (retired), Large Number Dies (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It turned out pretty sweet & Audrey said this is perfect for Malia!
It always helps when you have a room full of retired stuff to fall back on when something special is needed!!

Train Adventures

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Another hot one is on tap again today!
Make sure you stay extra hydrated if you have to be out in this stuff.
I'm going to be doing some laundry & making cards and hopefully staying cool!
The cards I am sharing today were part of Audrey's order.

She called me with a special request for her 2 great granddaughters, Malia & Evie.
Recently she was going thru some books and found a bunch of $2 bills that her husband had stashed away years ago. He's been gone for quite a few years now and only just found these. So, she wanted to gift them to the great granddaughters in a card that had a train on the front so the girls would know the money came from their great grandfather. Audrey's husband worked many years on the railroad so that was why she requested a train.
Well, I stewed and stewed over this for about 2 weeks. Then I noticed a train set in the new Online Exclusives offering and you know the rest of the story! Yes, I had to order it!
So I tried my hardest to keep the cards as girly as I could by using black & a new In Color, Summer Splash. When I gave the cards to Audrey she was pleasantly surprised! You could just see the joy in her eyes!

Card Details:

Stamps: Greatest Adventures (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Summer Splash
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White, Summer Splash DSP
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Alphabet A La Mode Dies, Summer Splash Ribbon,
Black Enamel Dots (retired), Adhesive Sheets, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She said...."I knew you could make it happen"! LOL
I always try my hardest to please when it comes to making her cards.
Just seeing the thrill & joy on her face made it all worth wild for me!!

Doggy Birthday

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's another hot & humid one today!
Last evening Shawn & I went to the Rail Trail and walked 3 miles in this heat. Most of that section of the trail is in the shade so it wasn't too bad but I was a puddle till we got back to the car! LOL I just heard that this heatwave could go into possibly next week! Ughh!

Today I have a sweet little doggy card to share that was made for Audrey's recent order. A little boy she knows is having a birthday soon. She said he loves dogs!

This little cutie was made with the Pets & More stamp set from the Online Exclusives!

Card Details:

Stamps: Pets & More (Online Exclusives), Party Pants (SAB 2016)
Ink: Basic Black Archival (retired), Orchid Oasis (retired)
Cardstock: Orchid Oasis, Basic White, Rock & Roll DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Darice EF, Orchid Oasis In Color Ombre Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Since we are in for some scorching hot weather I am going to take some time and pull out Christmas stuff in my stamp room. Maybe it will help to cool us down during these hot days! And I seen the Christmas movies start soon on the Hallmark Channel for Christmas in July! It's crazy how fast the time passes.

NEW Online Exclusive Suite

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

Hope your staying cool in this heat wave!
I recently got my demo preorder from the NEW Online Exclusives and the Golden Greenery Suite is so pretty! I love all things gold so this one caught my eye!
I know it's way too early to be thinking about the Christmas holiday but it's helping to keep me cool in my stamp room! This is the first card I made with it...

Card Details:

Stamps: Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Old Olive, Gold Foil Paper, Very Vanilla, Season of Green & Gold Specialty Paper (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Greetings of the Season Dies (Online Exclusives), Gold Sequins, Gold Trim (Online Exclusives), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The Season of Green & Gold Specialty Paper is just the prettiest and loaded with different colored greens! This is a big suite of products that includes 2 stamp sets & 2 sets of coordinating dies. Since I don't make as much for Christmas as I use to, this may end up being the only suite I invest in this year! Besides, I have so much from year's past. The only thing that might change my mind is if they have something with gingerbread's! LOL
I am excited to play more with this suite of products and maybe even incorporate some retired things, too!
The Season of Green & Gold Suite will be available July 3rd for customers to order. I do believe it will sell out quickly!

Hope this helps to cool you off on a very hot & humid day!
I am headed downstairs to play a bit this afternoon since I have Audrey all taken care of. The new Online Exclusives that are coming for customers in July is jammed packed with all kinds of new stuff! I think I ordered every single thing this time! LOL My self control went out the window when I saw the leaves & pumpkins for Fall and of course, the holiday sets! I love the holidays!

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Phew yesterday turned out to be a hot & humid one!
Each day this week it's to get a bit warmer....you know I will be in hibernation mode!
I like warmth but this kind of heat & humidity is a bit much for me.
Last evening I got Audrey's card order delivered. She loved each & every card!!
The one I am sharing today was made for her order. This was a special request for a lady friend of hers that loves cats...

Card Details:

Stamps: Pets & More (Online Exclusives), Labeled With Love

More Zinnia Notecards

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I've got a very busy day ahead so I'm going to make this update quick.
I have another set of Zinnia cards to share that Audrey requested. She has been on a roll with the Flowering Zinnia papers. My 2nd pack is half gone. She uses these for whatever occasion comes up so i'm always happy to make them for her.

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Flowering Zinnia DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins (Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This particular sheet is my favorite of the pack and she has specifically asked for this one. It really needs nothing when used alone. I did add some Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins for a pop of sparkle. My 1st package of them is just about gone.

This evening I will get Audrey's cards delivered to her and hopefully get to chat with her a few minutes. I haven't seen her the last few trips I went in because she has stuff planned and wasn't home. When I talked to her on the phone on Friday she was so happy and was feeling great especially for the day after her cancer treatment....which surprised me. That lady is just remarkable!!!

Trusty Tools for Father's Day

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was such a busy day that I never got a chance to get my blog updated.
Miss Bailee had dog grooming in the morning. While she was there both Shawn & Ryan got haircuts. I did 3 loads of laundry and cleaned all 3 bedrooms. Today Shawn is going fishing on this Father's Day and I am going to wrap up Audrey's card order. She called yesterday and threw one more card at me. LOL I am going to deliver her cards tomorrow evening as long as I get them done!

Today's card is the one I made for Ryan to give to Shawn for Father's Day.
I love how this one turned out and it is perfect for Shawn!

Fun Notecards

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
It's to be a warm one here in south central PA today with some severe weather this evening. I hope Shawn is home before that starts!

Today I have a set of cards to show you that I made for Audrey. She requested a set of cards with just a little square of paper but nothing with flowers so she could send these to men as well. Sometimes that can be a tough thing when most of your paper has florals on! I rummaged thru some older paper and found this pack on my paper rack and decided to use it. This is the Moroccan DSP from a few years ago. I thought the pattern & colors would suit either gender and I kept it simple like she asked. The center of each paper design has a Emerald Envy Enamel Dot which lays very flat. I have lots of retired embellishments that I decided to add to each card.

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Dapper Denim (retired), Moroccan DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Emerald Envy Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Simple & easy and I do hope she is ok with that paper print.
Atleast it's not a floral.

Today is laundry & stamp day for me so lots to get done!

Masculine HB

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

It's looking like a great day ahead but it is a little more muggy out and it's to get to the mid 80's today. Most likely my AC will get turned on as some point but for now we are still enjoying the morning air. Miss Bailee is back to having her itchies which seems to happen every other year. I had some Apoquel medicine here for her so last night we gave her a dose before bedtime. She gets a little werid on medicines but it seems to be helping her and alot less itching & scratching.

Today I have the second birthday card for Audrey's twin grandsons. I loved how they both turned out and they were fast to whip up! I used the Wanted to Say Dies again...

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Basic White, Night of Navy DSP (retired)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Wanted to Say Dies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today I definitely need to get back to my stamp table to finish up Audrey's order.
Yesterday I took advantage of the lovely weather and sat outback most of the afternoon with Bailee. Days like that I wish we could bottle up for when it's cold & snowy. Today it's going to start feeling like summer so I will try to get her cards finished and stay cool at the same time!

Mediterranean Blooms

Good Morning & Happy Hump Day!

I hope your week is going smoothly so far!
Today I have a pretty Thank You card to share that I made with a new suite of products called Mediterranean Blooms. I really think the lemons called out to me since it really did not grab my interest at first! LOL The Mediterranean Blooms DSP is just so pretty so I ended up getting the whole suite.

Card Details:

Stamps: My Small Business
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Mediterranean Blooms DSP
Accessories: Everyday Details Dies, Opal Rounds Assortment, Lemon Lolly Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm not quite sure why the 1st card the color got all wonky. If I get to my stamp table today I will try to redo the picture because it's really not as orangy as it looks.
I do love how this turned out and like I said, those papers are so pretty!

Update:

Last evening I had my doctor appointment. I was scheduled to have a pap and also to go over all the bloodwork that I had done on Saturday. I am having a bit of hairloss which my doctor suggested it possibly could be from my thyroid because bloodwork showed it was low compared to what it was back in January. I have been losing hair since around mid March but thankfully I have always had thick hair! Also the girl that cuts my hair has been keeping an eye on it and says that I do have new hair growth coming in so I should not worry too much. I also started Vital Proteins (it's a powder I put in my morning coffee) which puts more collagen peptides & protein in my system which will help with regrowth. All other bloodwork was excellent! My glucose numbers have greatly improved and my A1c went from 6.7 down to 5.2! I was shocked! I am now in diabetic remission and will continue with the 5mg of Mounjaro injection once a week for a few more months just until I get the thyroid under control. I thought for sure she was going to move me to the 7.5 mg but she said most likely next visit she will. She wanted to make sure my hair problem got better, too! To date I have lost 46 pounds! She asked if I felt better and I said absolutely YES! I am able to walk long distances without any pain which is a big deal. I recently got a stationary bike to ride at home when the weather isn't all that great to walk or bike ride. We do try to walk every evening with Bailee because that is the best type of exercise. And my eating has changed so much. I still cook all the same meals I use to before Mounjaro but now much smaller portions.

When I first started this medicine I was very anxiety ridden because you hear all kinds of bad stories about people getting sick or gastric paralysis. This medicine is not for everyone which is sad because the health benefits are amazing! Many people say this medicine has changed their life and I agree! I do hope though down the road to go off of this and be able to maintain this way of eating and keep doing some sort of exercise. Time will tell but I will keep being hopeful because once a diabetic...always a diabetic.

Wanted to Say Dies

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

This evening I have my check up at the doctors and i'm anxious to find out the results of my bloodwork from Saturday! I sure hope things are moving in the right direction! Fingers crossed!

Today I have a masculine birthday card to share with you that I made with the Wanted to Say Dies. These are perfect to use for a quick card and I hope in the future I can find more uses for it since it is loaded with several sentiment dies. This card is for one of Audrey's twin grandson's. I will share the other one later this week. I wasn't really sure what to make for them so I kept it simple and used some simple DSP and added this diecut to it.

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White, Rock & Roll DSP (retired)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Wanted to Say Dies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Just your basic masculine card with nothing added and nothing popped up!

Zinnia No Sentiment Cards

 Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
It sure was a nice one here in south central Pennsylvania!
Saturday, we took Bailee to the Rail Trail before noon and took a long walk. While walking we saw the new thing that started maybe last year....they are rail bikes. They are like an open cart like a very small train car that goes on the train tracks. You peddle these like a bike. I have seen them before but never seen them moving. I was so taken with it and suggested to Shawn that we should try that! Each cart has 4 seats so he asked his boss & his wife if they'd be interested in doing it with us sometime. Sunday evening we met them for dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse and they said they would love to try it! It probably won't be until around Fall since she is having a knee replacement in July. I am so excited to try it! It is 1.5 to 2 hours long at a cost of $70 per person. Maybe it could be a birthday gift for me! We will see but I will share more when I know we can plan it!

Anyways, today I have a bright set of Zinnia cards to share that were made for Audrey. These are definitely bright and you may need your sunglasses on to see them! LOL She wanted 2 packs of no sentiment on them and this is the 1st set...

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Flowering Zinnia DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins (Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I use Picasa to edit my photo's and I am not sure how why it made my pictures so bright at first. I had to tone them down which is what you see here. This paper is so pretty! I'm on my 2nd pack of it!
