Hello & Happy Wednesday!
Yesterday our weather was gorgeous!
I had the windows open to air the house out and it was just SO welcomed!
I know it's still winter but we've had a harsh winter and I think most people are ready for Spring at this point....me included! I got alot done yesterday...even decorated for St Patrick's Day!
Today I plan on trying to squeeze in some stamp time and getting some Easter treats made but before I head downstairs I wanted to share a card I made for someone who was retiring. I've seen many cards like this one so it is sort of a case of many others.
Isn't that adirondack chair so cool?
It is from the Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies and I diecut it using the Textured Wood DSP.
I also used a strip of the wood logs (from the same paper pack) on the left hand side of my card base to tie it all together. Then to complete it I added some Linen Thread and my sentiment.
Card Details:
Stamps: Wild About Flowers (sentiment)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
We are in for another nice day today and then tomorrow we are back to our normal seasonal temps with rain. I guess that's better than snow, right?!

My thoughts today....
That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy this beautiful day!

I bought the background stamp and I love that. Great idea to add the chair. But most of all I love that nice retirement sentiment. They are not easy to come by. Nice job. I need a good inside sentiment for retirement, also.
This is such a great retirement card, and I love the wooden chair with the wooden background. It reminds me of sitting on the porch of the log cabin in retirement - how cool is that! Great sentiment too! I hope you enjoyed this weather as much as I did, because we're back into the cold again tomorrow :)
I had my windows open too and it was so nice! The cats enjoyed it too, they love sitting in the windows. Don't think I've ever made a retirement card? Should probably give it a go. Love your take on it!
