Bloom by Bloom

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well.
Today I have a pretty card to share that I made using the Bloom by Bloom stamp set!
I only ordered the stamp set and not the coordinating punches that go with it.

I also cracked open the Botanical Butterfly DSP that was part of the SaleABration offering this year.
Isn't that black & white Gingham paper striking?

Card Details:

Stamps: Bloom by Bloom, Waterfront (sentiment)
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Botanical Butterfly DSP (SAB 19)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Coastal Cabana Ribbon (Tea Room Suite), Rhinestones, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Quick & easy card to create!
It's headed for the mailbox today!

Part of My Story

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Woke up to some pretty sunshine this morning which always helps put a spring in my step!
We've had so many gloomy, rainy days since last summer and every little bit of sunshine helps!
I know it's not gonna last as we have more rain on the way for tonight into tomorrow.

I have a really sweet card to share today that I whipped up in about 20 minutes last week.
I sent it to a friend to brighten her day!
I love sending out a little bit of happiness each week.
#makeacardsendacard

This time I used more of the SaleABration paper that comes in the Painted Season's bundle that is only available with a $100 order during SaleABration.

I was happy to know that my friend received it yesterday so I was in the clear to now share it here.
She said it definitely brightened her day and that was what it was suppose to do!
I love sending a card out with no other purpose than to brighten someone's day and make them smile.
Happy mail is SO much better than getting bills in the mail, don't ya think?

Card Details:

Stamps: Part of My Story (SaleABration 2019)
Ink: Poppy Parade
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Painted Season's DSP (SaleABration 2019)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Poppy Parade Striped Ribbon, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today I need to get to my stamp table to whip up a couple of cards so they can get in the mail asap!
I will share tomorrow!

Let It Ride

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Another rainy day here again!

I will most likely head down to my stamp room and do some fun stamping for myself!

I have a card to share that I made yesterday for a very dear friend that I have known since Kindergarten. She moved away right before 5th grade if I remember correctly.
Fast forward to 2009 and she found me on Facebook and we've been friends on there ever since.

She loves dogs & horses!
She boards horses and takes care of them each & everyday!
Sadly, she lost her husband a few years ago and has been remarkable at healing her heart.
She has quite a few dogs that she dearly loves and that makes her world go round!
She also watches over her elderly mother and her mother's sick dog whom is going thru cancer treatments.
She is just a remarkable person especially for all she's been thru in life.
I made this card to send her in the hopes it will make her smile!
#makeacardsendacard

When I seen the Let It Ride stamp set in our Occasions Mini Catalog I knew I had to get it and make some cards for her. I even sent a catalog to her because she is VERY crafty and inquired about making some cards to sell at a local tack shop she worked at.
She's been SO busy with her crew of dogs, horses and taking care of the sick puppy that I know it's the last thing on her mind.
I wanted her to know someone was thinking of her and just how awesome she is!

Card Details:

Stamps: Let It Ride, Weathered Background Stamp (retired)
Ink: Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Corrugated Heart Elements, Linen Thread, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love how this one turned out!
What do you think?

Fall Cards for Friends

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Been a busy week with Shawn working some long hours and I have been busy in my stamp room prepping for upcoming card classes. My hands aren't real happy but I will rest them next week once I get everything cut and ready!

So, yesterday I was looking for some cool idea's to make some cards to send to my stamp girls for the first day of Fall. #makeacardsendacard
I was hopping around on Pinterest then Facebook.
Then I found a card that was perfect for what I was looking for!
Not really sure of the name of it and I will give you the directions at the end.

Since Saturday is the first day of Fall (Thank God!!), these are the cards I made.

Card #1

Card #2

Card Details:

Stamps: Amuse- Autumn Leaves, For All Things (retired)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Country Lane DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Gold Rhinestones, Crushed Curry Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were very quick & simple to whip up!

Here is how....

Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/4 X 5 1/2
Coordinating DSP cut at 4 X 12
Score at 1, 4 1/4 and again at 9 1/2
Fold and use bone folder for a nice crease.
The 1 inch piece gets folded the opposite direction so it will show the other side of DSP.
Attach your DSP to the piece of cardstock.
Then add an inside piece of cardstock to write your message on.
Decorate the front.

Any questions please shoot me an email at blueyes966@comcast.net

My card is made with the Petal Potpourri stamp set that's long been retired but doesn't matter to me....I love the big blooms in the set!

#MakeACardSendACard Challenge

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying your weekend!

I have another Mother's Day card to share that I made with the #MakeACardSendACard Challenge.

I recently picked up some of the Succulent Garden DSP that is on the Retiring List for cheap and I wanted to use it to make a Mother's Day card. I'm on a mission to send cards out this coming week to people who have inspired me and people who mean alot to me. This is all part of Sara Douglass's  #MakeACardSendACard Challenge as this is the month of Mother's Day and Arthritis Awareness.
I personally feel as though there are times you just want to send a card to tell someone your thinking of them or just because....

Happy Mother's Day Card:

Stamps: Inkadinkado
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum, Succulent Garden DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Love this card and I hope it makes someone smile when they receive it this week!

#MakeACardSendACard Challenge

Hello & Happy Saturday!

We made it thru the heavy rains yesterday!
For me personally, I like a rainy day here and there!

Today I have a pretty cute card to share that I made for Mother's Day which is coming pretty fast!
Next Sunday we celebrate all the Mom's or the woman who have inspired us along the way!
If anyone follows Sara Douglass the CEO from Stampin Up, she had a message on Facebook the other evening asking us to #MakeACardSendACard to anyone one who has inspired us. I got to work on making a few cards to send out this coming week.

Anyways, this card here came together quite nicely....

I finally pulled out a stamp bundle that I have had in my possession for months!
I almost thought it was lost when I searched for it and found it on my punch shelf instead of with my stamp sets! Accck! I recently picked up the Pop Of Pink Specialty DSP off the Clearance Rack for a really good price and decided to pair it with my Custom Tee Bundle. My Tee is embossed with Winter White Embossing Powder and then diecut with the Custom Tee Builder Framelits.

One In A Million Card:

Stamps: Custom Tee
Ink: Versamark, Winter White Embossing Powder, Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Whisper White, Pop Of Pink Specialty DSP
Accessories: Custom Tee Builder Framelits, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Decoratibe Dots EF, Lace Doily, Basic Black Solid Baker's Twine, Heat Gun, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I am thrilled with how this one turned out and definitely loving the Custom Tee Bundle!
Such a fun set as the possibilities could be limitless!

My thoughts today....

This is me usually every morning!
Kelsey works 3rd shift and when I am waking up she is just coming in the door from her shift. She talks and talks to me and I am just not ready to think, speak or do much of anything for about 20 minutes until my coffee kicks in! Then watch out! It's hard to shut me up! Haha!

That's all for me today!
Our weather is to be semi sunny & showery today.
I do have to pop out to run some errands but hope maybe to find some time to play at my stamp table. Hope you will join along with Sara Douglass and #MakeACardSendACard to someone who inspired you! I think this is a terrific challenge for the month of May! Glad I got 2 books of stamps last time at the Post Office....i'm gonna need them!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful Saturday!
Love & hugs~
Wendy
