Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!
This morning we are waking up to snow!
Only calling for an inch or two....just enough to create a mess.
It also got really cold again. Yesterday was high 50's, today it's not to get above freezing!
Burrr, Stay warm!

Today I am sharing a quick card that my stamp girls made on Saturday.

The paper is from 2018 called Dashing Along.
It was a promotional paper that I earned but those prints were out before in a small paper pad a few years ago.
I cut up strips of 3/4 x 3 and we layered them on to a piece of cardstock then trimmed it to make the ends even. I really love the look of that and it also helps to use up those small scraps!
My sentiment comes from the retired Christmas Pines set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Pines (retired)
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Gold Glimmer Paper, Dashing Along DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes, Circle Layering Framelits, Pretty Pines Thinlits (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My girls did beautifully putting this together!
They stamped a Garden Green Pine on the inside and added a nice saying to finish it up!
So fun and so festive!

My thoughts today...

Today I am gonna sit down and get my Christmas cards addressed and ready for the mail!
Christmas is 2 weeks today!
My hubby is on vacation the next few days so if I don't get them done today they won't get done until late next week. Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Illuminated Christmas

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us again!
I'm having a rough start to the long holiday weekend after my hubby was at work until very late last night. It was well after midnight until our heads hit the pillow.
I hate days like that because they just throw me off schedule.
And then I was up shortly after 6 this morning which makes for a very long day!
No doubt i'll be asleep before 7 tonight!

Today I am going to make this post short & sweet.
I pulled out another retired stamp set and used some pretty old Basic Grey paper called Eskimo Kisses.

I was digging thru a bunch of Basic Grey papers and found these couple scraps and I made another pack of cards around the colors in the paper.

Card Details:

Stamps: Illuminated Christmas (retired), Christmas Pines (sentiment, retired)
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Basic Grey- Eskimo Kisses
Accessories: Holly EF (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This pack is also very mail friendly!
Basic Grey has some really nice patterned papers!
I have several packs that I need to go thru and start using.
Is Basic Grey still around? Can't say I have seen any....

My thoughts today...

That's for sure!
I'm on my 2nd cup!
Hope the caffeine soon kicks in!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
We have a busy day so I will make this post quick!

I have another set of Christmas cards to share that I made originally for the Christmas in July series but I ran out of time sharing them. I will keep sharing them but not everyday!

This set uses the retired Christmas Pines stamp set and retired Pretty Pines Thinlits.

These were really fun to create but a bit time consuming die cutting all those pines.
I tried to make it simple and not bulk it up under the pine cone.
The sentiment comes from the same set and is diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.
I added some gold cord and some gold rhinestones and called them done!

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Pines (retired)
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Delightful Dijon (retired), Whisper White, Warmth & Cheer DSP (retired)
Accessories: Pretty Pines Thinlits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Gold Cord, Gold Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have 2 paper pads of this DSP and it has some pretty prints in it!
You'll be seeing more of it over the next few months i'm sure!
How you doing with getting your holiday cards created?

Thanks Snow Much

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Sorry for the late update today!
Yesterday we had storms blow thru which were not bad here where I live but where Shawn works now, they got hit pretty hard! Just as he was leaving to come home it started and they lost power to the plant. They called the electric company which gave them an estimated time of repair....12 midnight on July 23! So, since they had no power they sent all employees home and canceled work.
He finally got the call around 6:45 this evening to go in. Power was restored.
Now they have to go thru each machine one by one to make sure there was no damage done before they can do the start up process. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it goes smoothly!

And also we finally got rid of that dreaded heatwave that was hanging around!
I am looking forward to sleeping with the windows open the next few nights! WooHoo!
I hate the air conditioning but sometimes it's just an absolute must!

So, while the house is quiet I thought i'd hop on here tonight and share another pack of Christmas cards I made for the Christmas in July series!
I know your probably tired of seeing all these old sets but hang in there with me a few more days!

This set uses the retired set from 2000 called Thanks Snow Much.
I do not own this set but my friend Deb does and she allowed me to borrow it a few weeks ago.
Thanks Deb!!!

My DSP comes from a retired pack called Merry Moments.
I have almost a full pack of it and was thrilled to use it with my adorable snowman!
The string of lights the snowman is holding was colored with my Stampin Blends and then I added a bit of Crystal Effects to make the shiny! I always forget I have that kind of stuff that can make the image stand out a bit more.
The sentiment comes from the retired Christmas Pines set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Thanks Snow Much (retired), Christmas Pines (retired- sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Old Olive, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Crystal Effects, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were SO fun to make!
Everyone keeps telling me that I should have enough cards come Christmas time but these cards are not for myself. I will most likely sell these.
My customer usually gets about 15 packs if not more!
So glad I started early on these!

Case The Catty-Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone had a nice Labor Day holiday!
Kelsey, Corey & Shady came over and brought me cupcakes for my birthday!
Yesterday was my birthday.
Usually on my birthday weekend we take the bikes to the Rail Trail and ride to the Maryland Line.
Not this year with such heat & humidity.

It was a great day with the kids, hubby and all 3 doggies!
After they left Gigi & Bailee crashed & burned while I cleaned up the kitchen.
Shortly after, I crashed & burned, too!
Ryan had a good day too but just feels miserable inside.
This afternoon is his doctor appointment.

I know I said I probably would not update today but I had sometime to stamp yesterday before Kelsey came. I had this pack of cards started and I just needed to get them put together.
I cased the catty for this one.

This card is on page 97 of the Stampin Up Annual Catalog.
With this heat I have had Christmas on my mind trying to stay cool.
I'm also so excited to get out all of my ceramic Christmas Trees this year!
I'm pretty sure I will be starting by Halloween to get them out and find a place for them.
I lost count at how many we have now. Pretty sure they will be in every room of the house! LOL

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Pines, Sheet Music Background
Ink: Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Accessories: Pretty Pines Thinlits, Gold Ribbon, Gold Metallic Stars, Sponge, Glue Dots, Tombow Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue

I changed up a few things on this card and I really love that it is still flat for easy mailing!
Stay tuned tomorrow as I will have something new to share using brand new stuff!
Also our Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog goes live tomorrow! WooHoo!
SO many things in there that I just love!

Ughh!
Hurry up Fall!!!

That is all for me today!

Tidings of Comfort & Joy

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope you are having a good week so far!
I got some shopping done online yesterday so that's a plus for me!

Today I have another Christmas card to share.
This one is made with the Christmas Pines stamp set & the Pretty Pines Thinlits.

Nothing on this card is popped up so it won't be bulky for mailing. It's hard for me NOT to pop things up but I know the flatter it is the easier it is for mailing.

Christmas Pines Card:

Stamps: Christmas Pines
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Emerald Envy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Emerald Envy, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Presents & Pinecones DSP
Accessories: Pretty Pines Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Gold Rhinestone, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you like!

Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's a rough morning here! LOL No, we did not celebrate with partying or anything!
We stayed up late last night and watched the Penn State game then the news that came on afterwards. It was 1 am when we finally crawled in bed this morning and that's pretty late for us anymore!
I'm struggling a bit to get awake this morning but i'm sure a few cups of coffee will get me moving then! I wished I could have slept in longer today but the doggies were bugging to go out and eat breakfast. A nap might be in order this afternoon! LOL

Today I am sharing a covered spiral bound notebook I whipped up for the craft show.
I recently got the Christmas Pines bundle and used it on here. I love this set but have not gotten much of a chance to really use it. I'd like to use it for more cards.....eventually!
Take a lookie.....

My saying comes from a Papertreyink stamp set. I used the Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies for my panels. Those dies are wonderful and cut SO nicely!

Christmas Pines Notebook:

Stamps: Papertreyink sentiment
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, This Christmas Specialty DSP
Accessories: Christmas Pines Thinlits, Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies, Gold Gems, Gold/Vanilla Thick Twine, Glue Dots, T
Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 2 Sided Tape

My thoughts today......

Wouldn't this image make a pretty Christmas card?!
I love the detail on the mittens and the Warm & Fussy sentiment! The chalkboard technique is a big thing even in the card making world!

Well, that is all for me today!
I need to get more coffee pumped in me so I can get the creative juices flowing and get to work!
It seems like the more I am checking off my crafting list, the more things are being added. I hope this craziness will end...SOON!

Thanks for stopping by today & have a warm & cozy Sunday!
I'll see you tomorrow!

Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Saturday!

What a difference a day makes around here!
Our weather has gone from summer to feeling almost like winter! The winds are gusting today around 40 mph and temps are not suppose to get out of the low 50's. Definitely going to need to wear a coat if heading out today!
I am planning to craft a bit today then popping out to grab a few things at the grocery store. I certainly hope by then the winds die down some. Hang on to your hats!

Anyways, yesterday I undertook a huge project at my stamp table. I'm sure it will take me atleast a week or so to finish it up! I will definitely share it here once it's completed but in the meantime I have a Christmas card to share with you.

Take a look....

I was really on the fence about ordering this new stamp set, Christmas Pines from the SU Holiday Mini Catalog. I recently got the Impression Obsession Pine Bough die which cuts so nicely. Once seeing this set and the adorable pine cone dies....I went in search of a pine cone die which I have yet to find. One day I just caved and ordered this bundle. I am glad now that I have it! The set is full of great images & sentiments! And the thinlits are just as nice! Worth every cent in my opinion!

Tis the Season Card:

Stamps: Christmas Pines
Ink: Garden Green, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Warmth & Cheer DSP Pad
Accessories: Pretty Pines Thinlits, Gold Twine, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So happy with this card and it is also very mail friendly too!
