Retiring Day #13

 Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
They seem to go by so fast anymore.
I got my Easter cards made, addressed and in the mail!

Today I have card #13 to share made with a retiring Stampin Up set.
This one uses the Sailing Home set on page 51 of the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog.
It has coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies.
I loved this bundle and have used it so much since it came out.
I don't own it but have always borrowed it from my friend, Deb.

Last time I borrowed her set I stamped a bunch of images and diecut them,
I have so many that I use when I need to make a masculine card.
The paper I used here is long retired, Come Sail Away DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP (retired), In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Metallic Silver Pearls, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This bundle will go down as one of my absolute favorites for making masculine cards!
Do you have a favorite set?

Sailing Away HB

 Hello & Happy Friday!

Yesterday was the perfect 10+ day weather wise!
I heard so many people say that they wish we had this weather all year long!
I could not agree more!
Kelsey & Shady came over to visit yesterday since it was her day off.
I made a Polish Lasagna and a Peach Cobbler for supper which was really good!
I haven't made that in many years!
It was a nice day and Shady loved running around the back yard with Gigi & Bailee.

Today I have a quick card to share that was made with the Sailing Home stamp set!

While I do not own this stamp set and coordinating dies, my friend Deb does and she graciously allowed me to borrow it last year and stamp and diecut all these images out! It's a wonderful set and perfect for masculine cards!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Basic White, Come Sail Away DSP (retired)
Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The stamp set & dies are still available but the DSP is not.
I use this entire suite many times for masculine cards at my Stamp Day w Friends get togethers and the girls love it!
I keep saying i'm going to purchase it for myself but by the time I do Stampin Up! will probably retire it! LOL

Masculine HB

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday I had my 1st Stamp Day w Friends get together of the year!
We had so much fun and got 5 cards made within 2 hours!
We started earlier than our set time since we were expecting some winter weather and I am glad that they were able to get back home before it started.

Here is the 1st card we made...

This masculine birthday card is a Z Fold card that went together rather easily.
I always have everything cut and all they have to do is stamp and use the Big Shot for either diecutting or embossing.
The DSP is from Playing With Patterns from the annual catalog. I decided to go with this particular print because I liked the stripes and the colors in it. I was pleased with how this one turned out!

Card Details:

Stamps: Handsomely Suited, Sailing Home
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bumble Bee, Seaside Spray, Whisper White, Playing With Patterns DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Painted Texture 3D EF, Smooth Sailing Dies, Bumble Bee Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Come Sail Away

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going well!

I'm headed out to get a haircut this morning then grab some groceries. After that is anyone's guess! Yesterday was my Stamp Day w Friends get together. We had a great time!

Here is the 1st card we made...

The girls like their masculine cards!
I pulled out some retired Come Sail Away DSP that retired in May. It's such a great pack that has some awesome prints in. I also had borrowed Deb's Sailing Home stamp set a few months ago and stamped off a bunch of images and diecut them for when I would need them. Thanks, Deb!
I then pulled out my cello bag of stamped images and started to create my card.
Alot of elements were used and I added some texture on the embossed white circle panel.
I believe they loved this and the Mossy Meadow color!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home, Here's A Card (sentiment)
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP (retired)
Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Coastal Weave EF (retired), Designer Elements (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I enjoy designing and having these classes with my friends!

I have even been thinking about holding a small Coffee & A Card get together once the weather starts cooling down. I need to put some more thought into and see if I get any interest from friends!

If any of my local friends would be interested please give me a shout!

Time to Celebrate!!

Hello & Happy Hot & Humid Tuesday!

It's sweltering here the last couple of days!
I'm ready for a refreshing cold front to come thru and give us some nice comfortable days.
Last week really spoiled us!

Today I have a card to share that my girls made Saturday at our Stamp Day w/ Friends!
It was most fabulous seeing them again!
I also threw out to them that if they wanted they could wear their masks.
No one even brought theirs along!

My masculine card today is a fun fold like I shared last week!

I borrowed Deb's Sailing Home stamp set & coordinating dies to make this.
Thanks, Deb!
The measurements on this fun fold I posted last week but here they are again...

Cardbase is 4 1/4 x 11.
Scored at 4 and again at 5 1/2.
The section measuring 1 1/2 is where it gets glued shut.
It reminds me of a book.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home, Itty Bitty Birthdays
Ink: Balmy Blue, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Smooth Sailing Dies, Sail Away Trinkets, Baker's Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The girls like their masculine cards and they both really liked this one!
I did too!

Sailing Home Birthday

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Got my haircut yesterday after a 4 month stay at home order.
Came home to work outside in the yard all afternoon.
Got the flower beds weeded out and more grass seed put down.

I did not get to make anything crafty over the weekend but I do have another masculine birthday card to share. If you remember from yesterday this is for a card order and my customer wants 5 different masculine birthday cards since they are all for people within the same family.

This was such a neat fold that I have done years ago and forgot about. It reminds me of a book.
The side where I have my twine, that is completely glued shut and acts like the spine of a book.
The measurements for this card are:

Cardbase measures 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 4 and 5 1/2.

You all know I love a fun fold but one that isn't too complicated for the recipient to open.
This one is pretty cool!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home, Itty Bitty Birthdays
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White,  Come Sail Away DSP (retired)
Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Sail Away Trinkets, Baker's Twine (retired), Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I do not own this stamp set or the coordinating dies.
Last winter I borrowed them from my friend, Deb and stamped a bunch off to use later.
Those diecuts came in hand for my card lady's request!
Thank you, Deb!

Congrats on your Retirement

Hello & Happy Thursday!

My hubby made it home yesterday!
He said his flight was a bit bumpy with the rain going on in Atlanta and those crazy winds.
He also woke up yesterday with a kidney stone!
If you have been a reader of mine for many years you know he is a kidney stone former.
This is the first he has had in awhile.

Today he is home which was the plan even before his trip.
I am headed out shortly for my mammogram then home to start putting my house back together.
I got the living room & hallway all painted!
I was too pooped yesterday to move furniture to where ti needed to go so I will do it later today.
We woke up to some brilliant sunshine which is most welcomed and will help keep me moving!

So I have a cool masculine card to share today!
This one was a customer request for a man she knows that is retiring.
She did not give me any details so I used the Come Sail Away bundle to create a card for this occasion.

A few weeks ago my friend Deb came over to stamp.
She brought along her set Sailing Home set w matching Smooth Sailing Dies.
I stamped a bunch of images from the set to use later and today was the day I used them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night if Navy, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP
Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Oval Layering Framelits, Denim Ribbon, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This bundle is a terrific set for all things masculine since it has different sentiments in it!
Thank you, Deb for sharing it with me!
The card turned out great and my customer was happy with it!
