Candy Corn M & M's, Yum!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Yea, it's pretty late but I wanted to share something I made today for Halloween!
I've been on a Halloween kick!

Kelsey found that M & M's are made for Halloween in White Chocolate but they are colored in Candy Corn color so I took advantage of making M & M cello bags decorated for Trick or Treat!

These were pretty fun to make!

Halloween M & M's Cello Bags:

Stamps: Halloween Hello
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Neenah White
Accessories: Square & Scallop Square Nestibilities, Hole Punch, Daffodil & Pumpkin 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, 1 X 8 Cello Bags, Liquid Multi Mono

Then I took a plastic mayo container and wrapped it with some old Halloween papers that are in my stash and put a pumpkin bow on it. I placed some shred paper on the bottom and then placed my M & M sticks in it. I thought it was a cute way to display them!

Well, that is all for now!
I think I hear my bed calling! LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Challenge 445

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's a glorious day!

Right before I did this update I got my test results from the ultrasound I had last Friday.
It turns out that I have a benign cyst in my right kidney and they cause no problems and require no further testing! Thank you, Jesus! I had a feeling that it was just that because I have no problems and no kidney pain. I'm just so relieved!!!

So, here we go with today's Color Challenge.

The colors are:

Smokey Slate, Whisper White & Gumball Green.
The dessert option is to use the Chalkboard technique which I passed on today.

 My card....

Gumball Green reminds me of Christmas and I remembered that pretty sheet of Smokey Slate dsp that is in the Winter's Frost Specialty Pack and went for it. I used my Star Tree stamp from last year that I have never used. I added some Gumball Green Ribbon & bow, my sentiment from Christmas Greetings and called it done. I'm pretty pleased with it. It's also pretty flat for easy mailing!

Color Challenge 445 Card:

Stamps: Star Tree, Christmas Greetings
Ink: Gumball Green
Cardstock: Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Gumball Green, Winter's Frost DSP, Champagne Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Star from Holiday Collections Framelits, Gumball Green Ribbon, Corner Punch, Glue Dot, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

Well folks, that's all for me today!
I think i'm going to go and do the HAPPY dance and get my soup ready for supper!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
PS. Thanks for all your prayers! I'm very grateful!!

Halloween Treat Bag Toppers

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your enjoying your weekend so far!

My hubby & I slept in today since it just seemed like one of those mornings to do so. We have rain on our doorstep for the last day of summer and the winds have really kicked up. The leaves are falling now! I'm ready for Fall!!

I have a few more Halloween Treat Bag Toppers to share again today.
I shared them with my stamp girls last night and they loved them!

I used a different variety of stamps & papers for these. I think they are a nice little treat for family & friends!

Well, that is all for me today!
I need to get showered and head to my parents.
They invited us in for supper and Wii Bowling tonight!

My ultrasound yesterday went rather well. I managed to drink 40 oz of water without an accident! LOL
I probably won't know the results of it until Monday.
Keep the prayers coming, ok?

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!

Last weekend I sat and made some cute treat toppers for my small cello bags with candy in for Halloween. I make these every year and never get tired of having cute little treats to give out!

Ways To Use It Challenge 445

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Rise & shine on this beautiful Fall day!

I'm playing along today with the Ways To Use It Challenge over at SCS.
The challenge today is to make a pocket card whether it be a Double Pocket, Flower Pocket or a Criss Cross card. I made a just a regular pocket card for Thanksgiving using my adorable little Riley & Sophia Stamps. I'm not sure if Hanna Stamps still makes this line or someone else but I have a drawer full of them and decided I wanted to use something cute today!

For my card I used some old Recollections designer paper called Autumn that i've had on hand for along time. I pulled my cardstock colors from the designer paper. I used More Mustard (retired) and Marina Mist. The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment is from the new SU Tags 4 You & Label Bracket Bundle. The tag pulls out with a saying on that is from an older SU set as well called Seasonal Sentiments.
Hope you like!

Ways To Use It Challenge 445 Card:

Stamps: Tags 4 You, Seasonal Sentiments, Riley & Company (Hanna Stamps)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, More Mustard
Cardstock: More Mustard, Marina Mist, SU Whisper White, Recollections Autumn DSP
Accessories: Label Bracket Punch, More Mustard Grosgrain, Corner Rounder Punch, Round Tab Punch, Gold Beads, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

So, that's all for me today!

Combined Challenges

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Tonight I found some time to go play at my stamp table while Shawn went out to dinner with a guy that was here in York from Joplin. He was one of his co workers when we lived in Joplin and he always keeps in touch. Anyways, I decided to start on some Fall cards and this week's Color Challenge 444 & Sketch Challenge 454 was the perfect opportunity to do so!

The colors are:

Very Vanilla, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze & Chocolate Chip

It was a toughie using 4 colors this week but I did it!
I pulled out an old set called Autumn Leaf Prints because I love the different leaves in the set. I used Chocolate Chip designer paper and my Scallop Trim Border Punch along with a scrap piece of brown gingham ribbon that was in my stash. Not sure if the stripes & the gingham match but I like it.

CC444 & SC454 Card:

Stamps: Autumn Leaf Prints
Ink: Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip 12 X 12 DSP Stack (retired)
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Brown Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dot, 2 Sided Tape

I also wanted to give an update on my MRI I had done last week.

I have nerve damage in my lower back at L4 & L5 vertebrae, the start of a bulging disc and arthritis. I knew something had to show since my back hurt most of the time, so that news wasn't surprising but also on the MRI it showed I have a 4 inch mass on my right kidney. I think the doctor was just as shocked as I was! As of now he thinks it could be a cyst. I go Friday for an ultrasound to see if it is a cyst or a cancerous tumor. I am not having any symptoms or any kidney pain so i'm hoping for the best. Next Wednesday I will be seeing a Neurologist for my back. Not sure what to expect there either but I pray what ever the plan of action is....that it helps. I hate being side lined due to this problem.
So, keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer for me. I need all the prayers I can get!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's Color Challenge Day over at SCS and I wanted to play along since my stamping buddy, Vicki is one of the Guest Designers this month. Here are this week's colors:

Midnight Muse, Strawberry Slush & Pear Pizzazz

The dessert option is to use scallops...

I finally broke out my Chalk Talk stamp set and inked it up! I've seen so many cool things done with this set as well as the coordinating framelits. My card is a pocket card where the tag will slip in under my Pear Pizzazz scallop border. I pulled out designer paper that had all 3 colors in to make it easier. LOL
Great color choice this week Color Challenge ladies! Love this!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Lesley has another fun challenge for us this week so I hope you can find some time to play along with us! Let's get those Christmas cards done!

Here we go....

I pulled out a new Stampin Up! set called Special Season because I loved this tree! The green color I chose is Old Olive. I used the Woodgrain Background stamp on my card base. I used a corner rounder on 2 corners of the tree panel just for interested. Popped up my sentiment and added an Old Olive taffeta bow with a glue dot. Lastly, I added 3 white pearls on the tree panel and called it done. Love how simple this was to make!

More Halloween Goodies...

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Last evening my oldest daughter, Kirsten & her 2 Jack Russell pups came for supper. I made taco's because it is something quick & easy and all the kids love them. Afterwards she asked if we could stamp. She has been asking for the last few weeks but wanted to wait till her husband went off on his new military orders. He is now at the Norfolk Navy Base living on a ship for atleast the next year. She is still here in PA continuing on with her job, taking care of the pups and their house. So now that he has been gone for 2 weeks she was ready to learn. I did not have any projects planned so I winged this. I remembered a project that Becky Roberts posted last week so we cased that (luckily I had everything on hand to make this!) and then we moved on to making a candy bar wrapper. Here are some pictures of what we made and might I add that she picked up on learning very quickly!

Halloween Treats:

Stamps: Halloween Hello, Halloween Bash, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Witches Brew DSP, DSP from Recollections (bats)
Accessories: Chalk Talk Framelits MS Spider Web Border Punch, MS Bat Punch, Scallop Oval, Decorative Label, Modern Label, Word Window, 1" Circle & 1 1/4 Scallop Punches, Black & Pumpkin Pie 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Liquid Multi Mono, Black Rhinestones, Small Cello Bags, Stapler, Dimensionals

Halloween Candy Bars I made for friends & family...

Halloween Candy Bars:

Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Whisper White, DSP from K&Company
Accessories: Rich Razzleberry Ribbon, Word Window, Modern Label, 1" Circle, 1 1/4 Scallop Circle Punches, Purple Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Liquid Multi Mono

I think I about have Halloween covered except for a few cards. I love being ahead of the game this year!

Well, that is all from me for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #72

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today is the start of something new over at Merry Mondays! Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper has given us new challenges to help us get those Christmas cards made. I love the new stuff & the challenges to come!

Here we go...

I was inspired by the pretty packages in the picture so I used a Kraft Gift Box that I have on hand. Wish I would have had some beautiful red & white striped ribbon but no such luck. Along with my Kraft Gift Box I made a matching Gift Card to go with it.

I used some retired Holly Berry Bouquet DSP and matching felt holly. My sentiment on the box comes from the retired set, Christmas Punch. The sentiment on the Gift Card comes from the same set. My Gift Card has a piece of Stitched Real Red Grosgrain ribbon on it under the felt holly. I then added some red rhinestones and called them done. I'm quite happy with my gift set and have started making more!

Merry Monday Week #72 Card:

Stamps: Christmas Punch sentiments, Label from Halloween Bash
Ink: Real Red, Wild Wasabi
Cardstock: Crumb Cake/Kraft, Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP
Accessories: Felt Holly, Red Rhinestones, Modern Label Punch, Circle Punches, Scallop Oval Punch, Kraft Boxes, Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you can find some time to play along with us this week.
The team has lots of awesome inspiration over on the blog so hope you can stop by and check them out! We also have a new Merry Maker on the team, Loll Thompson! I've seen her work over at Splitcoaststampers and I have to say it is amazing!

Well, that is all for me today!
Headed out around noon to spend the day my family. Just hope the thunderstorms stay away! It's been so humid here....reminding me of the weather we had in Jamaica. I'm ready for fall/cooler weather!

Enjoy your day & Happy Labor Day, friends!

See you tomorrow!

Yep, More Halloween!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today I am sharing a few more things I made yesterday for Halloween. I'm on a roll so i'm going to keep it going! LOL

Here we go!!

I recently purchased the Sizzix Milk Carton Die off of Ebay because I was able to get it cheaper than what it was priced in the Stampin Up catty. Yeah me! :) So, I thought i'd get some use out of it by making some Halloween ones. I dug thru my Halloween papers and got to work.

The first ones I made I used a glittery foam ghost sticker I had purchased at Micheal's last week then I added the little BOO from Spooky Bingo Bits retired set. The ghost paper I had in my stach and if I remember correctly, it was from Imaginations. I added Library Clips to the top of each box to hold shut. I did not glue them shut yet as I have not found any Halloween candy to put in them yet.

The second 2 cartons I use paper from Hobby Lobby/The Paper Studio that I picked up last year so i'm not sure if it's still available. The stamps I used on this one was from a hostess set last year in the Holiday Mini called Mixed Medley. I love this little spider web and the sentiment, Treats for Boo! I popped them up on the cartons and added rhinestones for some interest. Then on both sets of cartons I added bows with the Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black 1/8 inch Taffeta Ribbon. Love that stuffz!

I did not put the recipe on here how to make these so if you need to know something shoot me an email!

Well, I am off to make deviled eggs for my brother's get together tomorrow for Labor Day. After that I plan to hit the stamp table a bit more. Thinking of making some Pizza Boxes and since i'm on a roll I don't want to break the momentum!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!
