Holy Guacamole!

 Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

I hope your enjoying your weekend!

Yesterday we had the nicest day in quite awhile! Beautiful blue skies and lots of warm sunshine. It was the perfect day! The last 2 weeks have flown by as there has been alot going on here. Shawn breaking a tooth, then a kidney stone, then oral surgery for him. Then me breaking a crown, doctor appointments for us both. Friday morning Kelsey got up with the stomach bug. I don't think I have ever seen her so sick. She couldn't keep anything in. Saturday she was atleast able to keep fluids & food in but still was plagued with a terrible headache. Friday night Shawn was up all night as his Restless Legs meds did nothing for him. Saturday, our butts were dragging from being up most of the night and it was such a beautiful day but neither of us felt like doing much. We muttled through our day and ordered a pizza for supper and went to bed way early (it was still daylight). Poor Bailee could hardly keep awake at the groomers yesterday. It's been crazy around here so I am hoping things will start to calm down!

This morning Shawn went fishing since it's a beautiful morning here. I slept in a bit longer than I wanted to but after the last 2 weeks....it felt good to do that! Kelsey is suppose to work later today so I hope she is feeling 100%.

Today I have yet another Taco Fiesta card to share with you!
I have come to love this stamp set and was thrilled that it carried over into the new Stampin Up! Catalog!

Recently I saw some cards that LeeAnne Greff shared using the Diorama Dies and making such colorful panels. I saved the post to use for future inspiration and a few weeks ago I finally was able to try my hand at it. I do love the rainbow of colors which I used for my yummy chips & guacamole! This stamp set was created by Erica Cerwin for her Million Dollar Achiever stamp set. She lives in Texas so how perfect is this set?!

Card Details:

Stamps: Taco Fiesta
Ink: Real Red, Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Azure Afternoon
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Azure Afternoon
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Diorama Dies, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

For my colorful panel I took scraps of Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Real Red & Azure Afternoon cardstocks that measured 1/2 inch and they were all different lengths. I layered them on a small piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered them down. I trimmed all the long edges off with scissors. I used one of the Diorama Dies to diecut my Basic White panel but I don't remember which one. I made sure that the die was small enough so the colorful piece would show thru. Turned out perfect!

Taco Fiesta Stamp A Stack Card #3

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!
Happy Cinco de Mayo Day!!!

Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?
Miss Bailee has a dog grooming appointment tomorrow and other than that nothing happening here. Our weather has been so flip floppy with sunshine & rain so it's hard to plan anything outdoors. Still waiting on a sunny, warm weekend to power wash the porches and get them painted. Today I have card #3 to share with you from the Taco Fiesta Stamp A Stack that I have been playing along with over at the Kitchen Table Stamper.

This card design is totally different than what Marisa did on hers. I added the adorable cactus and sombrero to my circle panel along with the burrito, guacamole, chips and spicy peppers! Fussy cutting all the images out is too much for my hands so I only fussy cut the lime and the chips and popped them up with Mini Dimensionals.

Card Details:

Stamps: Taco Fiesta
Ink: Memento Black, Melon Mambo, Stampin Blends-Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Garden Green, Basic Black, Basic White, Enjoy The Journey DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I had so much fun playing along with the Stamp A Stack and her projects always inspire me to try new things!

Taco Fiesta Stamp A Stack Card #2

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

All went well at my dentist appointment yesterday and he determined that my old crown should hold up until July when they can get me in to replace the broken one. He kinda suspects that it may have been already cracked by the way it broke. It was a clean break and not jagged. They put me on the ASAP List incase of a cancellation they will call me. Still have to be cautious with it and nothing hard to eat. The reason they put me on the ASAP List is because they are so crazy busy since the other dentist left at the end of December and a new dentist does not start until July. I also looked back to when this tooth had the root canal and crown put on and it was in July of 2000. The broken crown was on for almost 23 years! Although in my gripes I would think crowns should last a lifetime!

This evening Shawn has his 6 month check up with his doctor. I finally got my results of my bloodwork from last week. She sent me my results and typed at the top....Test results look great! WooHoo! My A1C and Sugar Glucose has dropped and my Potassium level also improved. Was SO happy about that! I continue to keep myself away from taking diabetes meds and that is my goal!

Ok, enough on the chit chat....let's get to some stamping fun!
This is the 2nd card from The Kitchen Table Stamper's Taco Fiesta Stamp A Stack that she is sharing this week...

OMGosh, I just love the faces on the taco and avocado! Don't they make you smile?!
I did my Stamp A Stack a bit different than the original as I stamped some of the images directly on the Circle panel and fussy cut the taco and lime slice. Fussy cutting is not my thing so sometimes I do go the easy route. I put my sentiment on a Tailor Made Tags Die and added my ribbon. I also used Rhinestones on all my cards instead of the Iridescent Flat Pearls. So much fun!

Card Details:

Stamps: Taco Fiesta
Ink: Memento Black, Garden Green, Stampin Blends- Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Malon Mambo, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Basic White, Enjoy The Journey DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Tomorrow I will share card # 3 which is perfect to end my Taco Fiesta celebration on Cinco de Mayo! I was going to suggest going out for Mexican for supper but after this past week of unexpected dentist/oral surgeon visits I think it's probably best to stay home and maybe try my hand at making our own fajita's!
I hope your enjoying the Taco Fiesta Stamp A Stack so far!
Big Thanks to Marisa for always sharing & inspiring everyone to be creative!

Taco Fiesta Stamp A Stack

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am off to the dentist this afternoon so he can look at my broken crown and determine what is next. I have been babying it since last week so I hope I don't have to wait too long to get it replaced.

Last evening Shawn finally passed that dreaded kidney stone! He's passed a few big ones over the years and this one was a pretty decent size, too! Now let's hope that's it for awhile. He passed a smaller one about a month ago without any pain or issues.

So, this week Marisa over at Kitchen Table Stamper is doing a Stamp A Stack with the very fun Taco Fiesta stamp set. I am playing along and loving it so far! Here is card #1.

Card Details:

Stamps: Taco Fiesta (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Memento Black, Mango Melody, Stampin Blends-Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Basic White, Enjoy The Journey DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Rhinestones, Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Taco Fiesta was not on my radar when it first came out but I am glad that I eventually got it! It's such a fun set!

I changed up many things on these cards but kept the same focal image as the original.
My DSP strips measure 1 3/4 X 3 3/4.
Most everything was fussy cut which I am not good at and don't like to do because it hurts my hands but I managed to get it done. I love how they turned out and can't wait to show you the 2nd card tomorrow!

Taco Fiesta

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
We had some thunderstorms come thru early Saturday morning but other than that our weather has been sunny & warm. Shawn got our air conditioners put in yesterday so that chore is done and now we are ready for the hot & humid weather!
Today I have a cute card to share that I made with a new stamp set from the 2023 January-April Mini Catalog called Taco Fiesta! Another set i've had for awhile and finally sat down to play with it. It's so fun!

I used a new color of blue on this card! We lost Pacific Point and I was almost going to pull that out to use but we do not have a Pacific Point Stampin Blend so I went to the new Azure Afternoon color! It's definitely different but not bad. I think it looked great with the Real Red, Granny Apple Green & Daffodil Delight!
How do you like those stripes on this card? I had a bunch of scraps I cut down to 1/2 inch and layered them onto a piece of Basic White cardstock then cut the edges off. This simple little thing sure makes for a colorful card!

Card Details:

Stamps: Taco Fiesta ($ Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Stampin Blends-Azure Afternoon, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Scalloped Contour Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I may just be giving this to Shawn for his birthday next month!
He sure loves his mexican food so this would be perfect!
