Valentines Day Tins

Hello & Happy TGIF!

It's hard to believe that we are already at the end of January 2016! The time just flies by so quickly anymore!

As most know a week ago today it started to snow shortly after supper time. It continued to snow for over 24 hours and we got socked with 34 inches of snow here in Red Lion. The most this area has ever seen from one storm. A week later people are continuing to dig out and the roads are starting to get a bit better. We've had brilliant sunshine most of this week to help melt it. While it was exciting to have a super dooper snow storm like we just experienced, the after affects are not as exciting. Snow just complicates everything and 34 inches really affects everything from the mail, the roads, to shoveling a spot for the doggies to go out to go potty and a simple trip to the store and where to park. We were under Snow Emergencies where you were not allowed to drive (which have since been lifted) and no where to go with this amount of snow. I can honestly say that I will be happy when it's all melted and the green grass appears again! Here are a few pictures from the digging out process....

Back porch

The roof had 6ft snow drifts on it. Shawn got up on the roof and shoveled most of it off because some people's roof's were collapsing from the weight of the snow. We ended up having snow piles higher than the bedroom windows!

This is Shawn snow blowing the driveway. Don't let that bright blue sky fool you, it was downright cold & very windy last Sunday! He was outside atleast 4 to 5 hours clearing the driveway, the front & back porches and the yard for the dogs.

Things are starting to look much better around here. You can actually see the street & driveway again and the snow on the roof has melted!

So during our blizzard I sat down and did some crafting for Valentine's Day. I promised i'd share what I made, so let's get to it!

I had these heart shaped tins in my stash since I first started stamping 15 years ago! I dug them out, covered them with paper and stamped a cute little heart for on top. I filled these with Hershey Hugs & Hershey Kisses and surprisingly I was able to get a good bit in them!

And lastly, I grabbed a pack of Reese's PB Hearts at the store and placed them in a cello bag and made a topper. Again I used this adorable Happy Valentines Day heart stamp for them! I really love this stamp...can ya tell??

Valentines Day Tins & Reese's PB Heart Bags:

Stamps: Happy Valentines Day Heart
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, The Paper Studio DSP
Accessories: retired Heart Punch, Melon Mambo 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots,  Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

I do have a few more things to show but will wait until another day!

Today I am thinking of heading downstairs to create some Tall Skinny Notepads.
I have committed to doing a small spring craft show in March that I will sell them at. I have not made anything else as of yet. Thankfully this one will not be as super big or as demanding as my Christmas shows. My hands just could not handle that right now.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed my Valentines Day goodies! I enjoyed making them but i'm still having a hard time getting motivated to stamp. Hopefully my mojo will soon return from vacation! HaHa!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Valentines Day Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!
Been awhile since I posted anything except for my Merry Monday cards! I had a card order this week that I just delivered last evening to my lovely customer, Audrey! She is such a sweetheart and a very caring person! She called me last week to get my butt out of retirement and back to my stamp table! She had a huge card order for me and I got right to work on it!

Today i'm going to share the set of Valentines Day cards I made for her. I hope she liked them!

Simple and very mail friendly!

Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the rest of the cards I made for her. I completely forgot!

I've been in a funk where my mojo is concerned lately and nothing is really sparking my interest. I hope something soon comes along to get me feeling crafty again!!

BTW, everything on this card is Stampin Up!. I'm not sure of the name of the stamp but it was out maybe 3-4 years ago. I purchased it off eBay last year and there was no sticker with it that had a name on it. Sorry...

Thanks for stopping by today & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge 187

Hello & Happy Monday!

Sorry for the lack of posts this past week. I have been taking some much needed down time since I have been crazy busy since about September. I have also been working on a 1000 piece puzzle for the last few days that i'm anxious to finish up. I want to frame it and put in the family room eventually. This puzzle is a tough one and i'm only halfway thru! I will conquer it, eventually!

Today, we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday! Colleen is our hostess this week so let's get to it!!

I just love plaids! Plaid paper, plaid ribbon...anything plaid, I love!!!

I went in search of some plaid paper to make this card. The Merry Moments DSP Pack has a few sheets of plaid designs in so I pulled out this sheet that I have not touched this holiday season. I love the Mossy Meadow & White plaid in this paper! I punched out a poinsettia flower, stamped my sentiment and finished up within 30 minutes! I love when a card comes together so easily!

Merry Monday Challenge #187 Card:

Stamps: Reason for the Season, PSX
Ink: Real Red, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, Real Red, Mossy Meadow, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Festive Flower Builder Punch, White Pearl, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Mono

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what my fellow design team members have created and then play along with us! I'm sure you will be very inspired!!

Before I close this out today I would just like to send out 2- Happy Birthday wishes, one to my dear friend, Deb and the other to Kelsey's boyfriend, Mark! I wish you both a wonderful day!!!

Merry Monday Challenge Is BACK!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Merry Monday is back from our holiday break and we have a great challenge for you this week!
Let's get to it!

I absolutely love the crispness of a total white card but they sure are hard to photograph! This is the best I could get. I just got this Spiral Wreath Die from Penny Black yesterday at a local stamp store, I was so excited to find it there since it has been on my wish list for awhile. I left my square 5 X 5 card without a sentiment because I wanted my wreath to shine. It is popped up on some very small pop dots that were in my stash and they were perfect for this.To finish it up I added a clear rhinestone for a bit of sparkle. It's very pretty in real life!

Merry Monday Challenge #186:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Whisper White
Accessories: Snow Falling EF, Penny Black Spiral Wreath Die, Rhinestones, Pop Dots, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see the beautiful creations of my teammates and play along with us this week! It's time to get started on those Christmas cards for this year!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy 2016!!!

Hello & Happy Friday!

Not much happening at the Aungst Pad today!

My Christmas tree & decorations have already been put away so today is a relaxation day! My hubby worked all day yesterday so i'm sure he'll be happy to relax!

I went thru so many folders yesterday looking for my favorite cards & projects to share with everyone in my Year in Review. I found this card set that never got published so today I am going to share since I haven't crafted in a few weeks.

I made a package of these up a few months back but using a different paper. My customer Audrey requested another set like the ones I made before so these were it. She was pleased with them!
