Reindeer Print

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

A late start to my day as I am dealing with a headache that just does not want to quit!
It's probably a mix between the heat & air conditioning that is doing it.
My sinuses drive me crazy with the ac on but when it gets in the 90's you cannot do without it!

Today I have another pack of holiday cards to share for my Christmas in July series.
One more day of sharing them and I hope you have been enjoying them!
Today's pack uses a set called Reindeer Print that came out in the Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog in 2005.
It was my friend Deb's set that I borrowed. I'm pretty sure she still has it!
I do not have a picture of the stamp set to share as I borrowed it along time ago and embossed these images and put them in a box that I keep stamped images in.

Not the best pictures because of the Silver Foil Paper.
They are much prettier in real life!

Card Details:

Stamps: Reindeer Print (retired), More Merry Messages (retired)
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Silver Foil Paper, Whisper White, Year of Cheer Specialty Paper (retired)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Heat Gun, Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Have you made any Christmas cards yet?
I still am working on more that I will continue to share down the road.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the last set for my Christmas in July series!
I hope I have inspired you to pull out your older stamps, ink & paper and get crafty!
It's a great way to get a jump start on the busiest holiday of the year!

My thoughts today....

I'll be hiding in my craft room working on some upcoming cards for my Stamp Day w Friends!
It's the only way to beat the heat!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Christmas Blessings Card Set

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all staying warm!
Between snow in some area's and cold temps everywhere else, i'd say winter has arrived!

Yesterday I spent ALL day at my stamp table.
So happy that Shawn picked up supper on his way home so I did not have to cook.
Thai food is always a winner in my book!
I got alot of crafting done but this morning I still have a few things to finish up then price everything.
If it doesn't take me too long I may go deliver everything this evening or else tomorrow after football is over.
I will be glad to have that weight taken off my shoulders! LOL

Today I have the 2nd pack of Christmas cards to share that are for my customer.
She requested these for her priests at church.
I was kinda in a fog and not sure what to make for the 2nd pack so I made the same type of card as the 1st pack but changed up the colors.

I love this pack done in red as I think it looks nice with the berries in the DSP.
I think my customer will like these since that paper looks real.

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Illuminated Christmas, More Merry Messages (retired)
Ink: Versamark, Real Red
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Paper, All is Bright DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Crosses of Hope Framelits, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Real Red 1/8 Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday was a very busy day!
I got a bunch of stuff created at my stamp table and whipped up a homemade Chicken Pie for supper. Nothing better on a very cold & windy day!

As I sat down at my stamp table to create, I was having a senior moment as to where to start.
I looked on my desktop and there was this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch to the rescue!

Here is their sketch and my sample....

This card had taken many different turns until I found what I liked!
My customer needs about 12 packs of Christmas cards this year...
I will be making Christmas cards until the cows come home, I think! LOL
Stylish Christmas is a new set this year. It is in the SU Annual Catty.
I love the look of it. It is one of those Distinktive sets.

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Stylish Christmas, More Merry Messages (retired sentiment)
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive, Memento Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Under the Mistletoe DSP
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Red Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I may try to make another set using this pretty poinsettia and some different colors!
They are so festive for this time of year!
Hope you liked my card!

Penguin Christmas Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!!

So glad the weekend is here!

As I sat and looked at the date today I realized something special.
Today is 5 years since we moved back to Pennsylvania and bought our house! We have come to love this house very much in the last 5 years and I have to say that I am happy to be back home!
Home sweet home!

So yesterday I started to work on some Christmas cards for the show.
Here is a cute one with my all time favorite penguin on.....

This set was a blast to create! I pulled out this sheet of dsp from the retired Winter's Frost DSP from several years ago. I must have 6 packs of it! Then I got to coloring my cute little penguins!

Penguin Christmas Card Set:

Stamps: More Merry Messages, Penguin from Whipper Snapper
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Island Indigo
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Winter's Frost DSP
Accessories: Circle Punch, Clear Wink of Stella, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I just love them!
Hope you do too!

My thoughts for today......

We have a very busy weekend planned here!

Tomorrow is the Heirloom Stamp Show in York, PA!
My girls & I go every year. This year though I am not sure if the whole gang is attending because of other commitments but my very good friend, Deb & I are going! I love going to this to see what's new. I usually always get my stamp cleaner there and Deb checks out the embossing folders! It's a fun day!

Saturday evening is the Pumpkin Walk on the York Heritage Rail Trail. We have never been to this before but from what we have read they line up both sides of the trail with lit up pumpkins for a half mile. I think it will be so cool to see and I will try to get some pictures to share here on Sunday!

Do you have any special plans this weekend???

Well, that is all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge #170

Hello & Happy Monday!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today, we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday!
Karren is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

She asked that we use "holly" on our cards this week!
Isn't this inspiration photo very pretty?!

This was an easy challenge for me since I left my patterned paper do all the work!
I used my retired Stockings Accents Bigz Die (from a few years back) to cut out my holly & berries. I also found a sentiment that worked perfectly!

Stamps: More Merry Messages
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Garden Green, Red Glimmer Paper, Stitched Holly patterned paper from The Paper Studio

Color Challenge 501

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Sorry about not having a Merry Monday post yesterday. I took the week off since my back has been giving me some troubles. I've been taking my pain meds plus keeping ice on it and it's starting to get better, thankfully! I think it's due to the change in the weather this last week. My back isn't liking this cooler weather and I dread what winter will bring.

Anyways, today is the first day I made my way to my stamp table since last Thursday. I wanted to play along with this week's Color Challenge from over at Splitcoaststampers! They have some beautiful colors this week!

The colors are:

Real Red, Crumb Cake & Coastal Cabana

As usual, my mind went straight to a Christmas card! Hope you like!

Merry Monday Challenge #129

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today we have a new challenge over at Merry Monday!
Kristie is our hostess this week and she would like us to use neon colors on our Christmas cards!

Let's get to it!

My card is a different size than the normal A2 cards. This is 3 X 6 which fits in the Open End Envelopes that Stampin Up use to sell. I pulled out an old set called Weather or Not because I really like these cute mittens in it plus I thought they'd look adorable in neon colors. I used Tempting Turquoise & Green Galore SU Markers to color my stamp. I used a piece of Tempting Turquoise DSP from the old Designer Series 12 X 12 Paper Stacks. My sentiment was cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits and popped up. I added 2 small rhinestones on the 2 mittens that had snowflakes on them. I'm all about the bling!

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week! Always lots of inspiration!! We also hope you will play along with us! Christmas is not that far off!!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #96

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great day!

We went to visit a very good friend of ours last night who has been in the hospital since last Wednesday. She is 7 months pregnant and her water broke. Today is the day they are inducing her labor and as of right now....nothing! The baby will be born at 34 weeks and they have been giving Amy meds to help build up little Vienna's lungs. I'm so excited for her! Her mom is up from Delaware keeping little Dominic while this is all happening. I offered to keep him today if she wanted to be with her daughter for the birth so I wanted to hurry and get my card made ASAP before the call comes.

Anyways, i'm down to the wire on getting my card made for this week's Dynamic Duo's card so here we go!

The color I chose to go with my Gumball Green is Cherry Cobbler! :)
When I think of Gumball Green I think of Christmas so that's the direction I went. I found in my "Image Box" this adorable image already stamped in the colors I needed . The images are from the Joyous Celebration set from the Holiday Mini 2012. I never purchased the set but borrowed it from my friend & stamping buddy, Deb. Thanks Deb! In my stash I found a piece of Gumball Green already embossed with the SU Snow Burst EF and then I embossed a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Designer Frames EF's. Added a piece of Stitched White Grosgrain and completed my inside. Threw on a few white pearls and called it done. Another card ready for Christmas! Hope you like!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #96 Card:

Stamps: Joyous Celebration, Christmas Messages & More Merry Messages (inside)
Ink: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Neenah White, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: White Oval Punch, Snow Burst EF, Designer Frames EF, White Stitched Ribbon, White Pearls, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #92

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
They always seem to fly by so quickly for me!

Today it's time for another challenge from over at Merry Mondays! We had some awesome snowman cards last week and it seems now since we have our own blog that the challenge is really picking up in entries! Thank you to all who play along each week. The reward will come at the end of the year and your not stressing over making Christmas cards! I love the stash I have so far! :)

Anyways, here we go with this week's challenge!!!

I kept my card very CAS style this week for easier mailing. I also love these colors for Christmas, not sure why but I do! In my stash I have found the ornament already stamped and cut out. I added a red rhinestone to the center of it to make it sparkle. I cut a piece of burlap ribbon and adhered it to my Very Vanilla cardstock. I then attached my ornament with a dimensional on top of my burlap. Stamped my sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and added some scraps of Real Red Grosgrain that were in my stash. Then I adhered everything to my Chocolate Chip card base and finished the inside with my saying. Very easy peasy!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #92 Card:

Stamps: Ornament Bundle, More Merry Messages
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Burlap Ribbon, Red Rhinestone, Real Red Grosgrain, Stamp A Ma Jig, Dimensional, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono

Also some awesome news from over at Merry Mondays.....we took on a few more Merry Makers this week! Please stop by the blog to check it out and welcome our newbies! I also hope you can play along with us this week!

Well, that is all for me!
Housework awaits me today! Blah! Someone's gotta do it though!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #68 & Jamaica

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
I spent most of the weekend with my kiddo's just hanging out at home. We had some much needed down time after traveling to & from Jamaica the week before. Spent some quiet time sitting out by the firepit under a beautiful full moon and also bought a newly released movie to watch called Oz. It sure was different than we thought it'd be but a good movie!

Anyways, today it's time to share with you a new sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. So here we go...

A very fun & easy sketch this week! I used a scrap of Kaiser Kraft DSP that I had on hand along with some matching cardstock, rhinestones & ribbon. I also have been playing around with my Picaso photo program and realized that I probably should be wearing my glasses when I do this because some of these photo's are super bright! They may require wearing sunglasses to view! LOL

Merry Monday Week #68 Card:

Stamps: More Merry Messages
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Early Espresso, Naturals Ivory, Kaiser Kraft DSP
Accessories: Snow Burst EF., Baja Breeze Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Before I close out my post today I just wanted to share a few quick photo's of our trip to Jamaica! It was a nice vacation just the hubby & I but the heat & high humidity did me in! I'm so glad to be back home.

Shawn in the Caribbean Ocean as the storm clouds were rolling in. Every afternoon it rained...

Me with my toes in the sand!! :)

The views were amazing! One thing I loved was there were no waves in the cove where our resort was. I am usually not one to be in the ocean because the waves knock you off your feet so this was a real treat! We spent alot of time in the Caribbean Ocean while there. Very peaceful & relaxing!

Shawn & I enjoying our last full day there, poolside!

Day of departure...It was a nice vacation with such peaceful & beautiful views! The people of Jamaica are so nice and just love to talk! This was my first trip outside of the USA so it was interesting to see how life is there. Shawn has been to Poland & Canada before so going thru Customs & Immigration was a whole new ballgame for this girl.

Of course, I had to squeeze in a picture of Gigi! This was the night we came home. She was so happy to see us that she could not keep her eyeballs open any longer! Love my little Gigi!! :)

Well, that is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
