Happy Halloween 2016

Hello & Happy Monday!

Trick or Treat day has finally arrived!
Today is a fun filled day with Kelsey as we watch the Halloween movie marathon that is on the AMC channel all day! We've been doing this for the last several years leading up to Trick or Treat night!

However, I am going to need lots of this today....

Shawn's phone rang twice between 3-4 am so needless to say I was wide awake after the second call from work! Ughh! Hoping that several cups of coffee will keep me calm without getting too grouch. I will probably end up falling asleep while movie watching this afternoon. I was planning on doing some crafting while watching but i'm not sure I am up for multitasking after only sleeping for a few hours last night! Boo humbug, right?!

Today before I either fall sleep or the day gets away from me.....I wanted to share my little treat bags I whipped up for my gang.
Take a look....

I found these coffee style bags in my drawer that I picked up at Michael's several years ago. I love the Halloween colored dots on them! I was planning on using them for another project but I apparently never got to it! I diecut my tags and filled the bags with some yummy treats. I didn't do much else because I felt as though they were fine the way they were since everyone just wants whats inside anyways! LOL I do love that Impression Obsession Trick or Treat die!

Trick or Treat Bags:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black
Accessories: Trick or Treat Die from Impression Obsession, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If anything i'm sure my gang will enjoy the yummy treats inside!
Did you make any yummy Halloween treats this year?

My thoughts for today....

Most definitely!

That's all for me!
Movie time starts at 9am!
Thanks for popping in today!
Stay safe & have a Happy Halloween!

Spooks Galore

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Anyone watch any Halloween movies on this Halloween weekend?

My hubby is a huge fan of the Underworld movies so we watched one last weekend and one last night. While I am not a huge fan of horror movies I did sit and watch this with him. Vampires & werewolves aren't my thing. I'm more into watching the Halloweentown movies or Hocus Pocus. Something not so scary!

Today I have another project to share with you.
Take a look...

For this card I pulled out a retired stamp set called Spooks Galore from many years ago!
I always forget I have this adorable set! I saw a card on my timeline on FB that reminded me of the set so I immediately dug it out! Funny how that works sometimes!

I used the collar fold on this with the DSP, added my ghost image with some twine on it and then a small sentiment on the collar. A fun card!

Spooks Galore Card::

Stamps: Spooks Galore, Mixed Medley
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Neenah White, Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper, Halloween Night Specialty DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Halloween Night Baker's Twine, Wink of Stella (on the treat bag), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

What do you think of my ghost?
I love how friendly he is!

My thoughts today....

1 more day to Trick or Treat Night!

That's all I have for today!

Cookie Cutter Christmas Notebook

Hello & Happy Saturday!

A busy day here at the Aungst Pad!
The puppies are off to doggy day spa this morning and while they are there we will probably hit the trails at Lake Redman for a quick hike. It's suppose to be a warm, sunny day so we are going to try and get out to enjoy it!
This past week I have worked hard at my stamp table.
I have a couple medium sized composition books that I picked up at Michael's this past year so I decided to get them covered and decorated for Christmas.
Here is one done with the Cookie Cutter Christmas Reindeer.
It's my favorite!!

Isn't that reindeer adorable?!
I have started to use him on many things and I cannot wait to share them with you!

Reindeer Notebook:

Stamps: Cookie Cutter Christmas, Papertreyink (sentiment)
Ink: Early Espresso, Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Warmth & Cheer DSP Paper Pad
Accessories: Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, Cable Knit Embossing Folder, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Garden Green Striped Ribbon, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Did you see the Garden Green panel under the reindeer?
I used the new embossing folder, Cable Knit on it! It's so cool!

Sweet Sugarplum Snowflake

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I have another Christmas card to share.
This one was cased from the talented Kay Kalthoff.
She used the Frosted Medallion stamp set....I changed it and used the Snowflakes stamp set from 2002. This set has always been a favorite of mine!

The sentiment comes from the Tin of Tags stamp set that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
The Sugarplum Glitter Ribbon is from the Holiday Catalog too!

Sweet Sugarplum Snowflake Card:

Stamps: Snowflakes, Tin of Tags
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum
Cardstock: Sweet Sugarplum, Thick Whisper White

Simon Says Stamp!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Just a quick card today since I have a busy day ahead!
Can you believe that 2 months today it will be Christmas Day?! Time just keeps flying by but I am SO looking forward to the holidays this year! We have alot of fun things planned!

Anyways, I ordered a bunch of things from Simon Says Stamp atleast 2 years ago and what a surprise when I found the dies that I hide from myself! I got them out and laid on my table to remind myself to use them!
Here is the card I made with one of them!

I love the sparkle this one has and it's very mail friendly too!
It was a bugger to diecut the words out since they are not connected. It was even harder to find an adhesive to use to attach it to the card. Anyone have any suggestions so next time I use these dies it goes a whole lot smoother?

Merry Christmas Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Pool Party, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Coastal Cabana, Winter's Frost DSP
Accessories: Simon Says Stamp Die, Silver Glitter Ribbon, Rhinestone, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Kelsey says she loves this card and all the sparkle!
She's just like her mama when it comes to bling, sparkle & shine!

My thoughts today....

Another funny that just cracks me up!
I don't know about you but my hubby would not let me out the door with curlers in my hair or in pj pants or even slippers on! He absolutely hates to see that when we are at the stores!

Hope you get a laugh from this too!

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

A Craft Show Favorite

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

I am still recovering from a 4 mile walk yesterday! We did a hike on a trail we've done before but this time we did a trail that shoots off from it and OMGosh, the hill was steep! I had to stop about 5 times to catch my breath before we got to the top. I wasn't going to do the hill since it pulls on my back but sometimes I like a challenge. I'm paying the price today! The walk around the lake at Lake Redman was absolutely beautiful! The leaves have started to change colors and their reflection on the water was so pretty!

So, I wanted to share a cute little notebook I whipped up for Christmas. I have tons of the small composition notebooks and a ton of patterned paper so I put some of it to good use...
Take a look....

Christmas Notebook:

Stamps: Papertreyink
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Whisper White, Trim the Tree DSP
Accessories: Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Wood Snowflake, Rhinestone, Pistachio Pudding Thick Twine, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These little notebooks are always a good seller at the craft shows and I have made quite a few of them for this year with a variety of different papers! This one is definitely one of my favorites!

Hope you like it too!

****************************************************

A funny for today.....

Hope you got a laugh out of that!

Well, that's is all for today!

Christmas Pines

Hello & Happy Saturday!

What a difference a day makes around here!
Our weather has gone from summer to feeling almost like winter! The winds are gusting today around 40 mph and temps are not suppose to get out of the low 50's. Definitely going to need to wear a coat if heading out today!
I am planning to craft a bit today then popping out to grab a few things at the grocery store. I certainly hope by then the winds die down some. Hang on to your hats!

Anyways, yesterday I undertook a huge project at my stamp table. I'm sure it will take me atleast a week or so to finish it up! I will definitely share it here once it's completed but in the meantime I have a Christmas card to share with you.

Take a look....

I was really on the fence about ordering this new stamp set, Christmas Pines from the SU Holiday Mini Catalog. I recently got the Impression Obsession Pine Bough die which cuts so nicely. Once seeing this set and the adorable pine cone dies....I went in search of a pine cone die which I have yet to find. One day I just caved and ordered this bundle. I am glad now that I have it! The set is full of great images & sentiments! And the thinlits are just as nice! Worth every cent in my opinion!

Tis the Season Card:

Stamps: Christmas Pines
Ink: Garden Green, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Warmth & Cheer DSP Pad
Accessories: Pretty Pines Thinlits, Gold Twine, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So happy with this card and it is also very mail friendly too!

Trick or Treat?

Hello & Happy Friday!

Any special weekend plans?

None here!
It's to be rainy, damp & cooler which will be a good excuse to hit my stamp table to wrap up another project i'm working on. I also hope that hubby & I can get out to walk sometime. I don't mind a few drops of rain...isn't that what they make umbrella's for??!  Going to have to start squeezing in our exercise on the weekends now that it is getting dark earlier in the evenings. By the time he gets home from work it's just about dark and all the parks close at dark time.

Anyways, there aren't many days now until Halloween. I whipped up this card the other day with a new die I grabbed at the Stamp Show last weekend.
Take a look....

Isn't that Trick or Treat die cool?
I saw it at the Impression Obsession stand and immediately snatched it up!
It cuts so smoothly! I love all their dies!

I had to pair it up with this Motley Monsters DSP because I am going to send this to my lady friend whom is always requesting this paper on her October cards. She will love it!
My words are diecut from Tangerine Tango cardstock and then I used a Basic Black scalloped circle under it and added some orange rhinestones for a pop of sparkle. My dsp is cut on a slant to let white space in between. This is where I placed my Basic Black/White & Tangerine Tango/White Baker's Twine and just tied a knot.

Trick or Treat Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Basic Black, Motley Monsters DSP
Accessories: Trick or Treat Die from Impression Obsession, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Basic Black/White Baker's Twine, Tangerine Tango/White Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another fun card!

My thoughts today......

Pretty soon the Trick or Treaters will be out in full force looking for all the yummy candy goodies they can get! I love Trick or Treat night!

That is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fabulous Friday!

It felt good to sit and just pull out a bunch of old stuff and create!
This is one of what I made today...

I pulled out all kinds of stuff Fall/Thanksgiving related. I also got this pack of retired Apple Cider DSP out. I have always loved the colors in it but keep forgetting that I still have it. Actually there is 2 packs of it....so yes, I really needed to put it to good use!

The leaf is the Magnificent Maple stamp and the sentiment is from Amuse.

I love this card and i'm sure the recipient will too!

My little Bailee has been with my family now for 3 years!
Today is her Happy Adoption Day!

She has come along way in the last 3 years and let me tell you, she has such a wonderful personality!
She will entertain herself while playing with her toys and she loves to give lots of licks & kisses for belly rubs. She is so sweet & lovable and just completes my family! We could not ask for a more wonderful adopted doggy than my Bailee Boo!

She was 2 years old when we made the trip to Virginia to adopt her and today she is 5.
Happy Adoption Day my little Bailee!
We love you to the moon & back!

That is all for today!

Happy October!
Although today was another hot day! Blah!
Mother Nature, can we get back to having some nice Fall days instead of 85 degrees???!!
I'm sure this heat is probably rotting the Jack o Lanterns that are waiting for Halloween!
Even my doggies are wondering what in the world is going on!? I really hate to complain but I have been loving the Fall weather we had up until Monday when the heat came crawling back...blah!

That is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & hope you all had a great day!
