Hot Dog, It's Your Birthday!

 Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Another dreary day is on tap as well as the humidity is on the rise. It's very foggy looking out the window this morning with not much change happening today.

Last evening I had my 4 month check up for my diabetes. All went great! I have lost well over 100 pounds (103.3 pds to be exact) in 16 month, have gone off my blood pressure medicine and cut back on my thyroid medication. I did start a low dose cholesterol medication back in February since I am diabetic and heart disease is a huge factor in diabetics. I feel really good and walk everyday if not twice a day! I have learned so much in the last 16 months on getting healthy and have conquered one big goal...which was to get 100 pounds off. I had blood work done last evening to check my sugars, cholesterol, thyroid and kidney function. Afterwards I treated myself to Thai food! It was so worth the wait! 😋

Today I have a cute birthday card to share with you!

I have been pulling out lots of the older, retired stuff and making cards with it then putting these cards in a bin for when my card rack gets emptied. I used the set called Hot Dog which has the cutest doggies in! I paired this set with some Rock & Roll paper which is also retired.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hot Dog (retired)

Ink: Memento Black, Versamark, Stampin Blends- Smoky Slate & Starry Sky (retired In Color)

Cardstock: Starry Sky (retired), Basic White, Rock & Roll DSP (retired)

Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Starry Sky In Color Twine (retired), White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Perfect card for that dog loving person!

I am headed down to play at my stamp table a bit this afternoon. I need to get working on a few July 4th cards because that occasion will be here before we know it. I also have a card order to start for Audrey eventually. She really keeps me busy!

Hot Dog, It's Your Birthday!

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

From the feels of it the last few days, I think winter is here!

It's a cold 25 degrees this morning and it feels like it could snow.

Thankfully, no snow is in the forecast!

My dogs are off to Doggy Day Spa this morning for baths & haircuts....they need it badly! Gigi looks like a sheepdog and we can barely see her eyes!

She hates going there but I know she will feel so much better once she is done.

So speaking of doggies, today I have a cute doggy card to share that my card lady requested for her Vet tech, grandson. He loves dogs or any animal for that matter!

I pulled out my retired Hot Dog set to make this one...

Card Details:

Stamps: Hot Dog (retired)

Ink: Memento Black, Night of Navy, Stampin Blends- Smoky Slate, Night of Navy

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Cajun Craze, Basic White, Well Suited DSP (retired)

Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Night of Navy Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card was created on the fly as my card lady called and asked for this the morning I was to deliver her card order. I pulled out things that were left over from other projects. I don't like creating like that but it turned out cute, don't ya think?

Her grandson's birthday is today so I hope he likes the card!

HB Hot Dog!

 Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

It's a hang on to your hats kind of day here in PA!

Going to be a cool day but tomorrow....sunshine and temps in the mid 50's!

I am looking forward to that!

Today I have another card to show that I made with the Hot Dog stamp set!

I paired this adorable puppy with some Well Suited DSP from the Handsomely Suited Suite from the January - June Mini Catalog (aka Spring Mini).

I started with a Pacific Point cardbase then a layer of Whisper White layer that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Painted Texture 3D EF. Love the texture on this embossing folder!!

I cut 2 pieces of DSP measuring 2 x 4 and the Smoky Slate piece at 1 x 4 and adhered them to my Whisper White piece.

I then stamped my puppy on Whisper White cardstock in Memento Black ink then I diecut it with the Square Layering Framelits. I colored my images with Stampin Blends. My sentiment was stamped with Pacific Point ink. I layered my panel on a piece of Pacific Point cardstock that was cut with Scalloped Square Layering Framelit.

Lastly, I added a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock that I diecut with the Hippo & Friends Dies. I cut it in half and added a piece to each side of my main image panel.

Then I added a Pacific Point Enamel Dot to each side to finish my card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hot Dog

Ink: Memento Black, Pacific Point, Stampin Blends- Smoky Slate, Poppy Parade & Night of Navy

Cardstock: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Well Suited DSP

Accessories: Painted Texture 3D EF, Hippo & Friends Dies, Square Layering Framelits, Pacific Point Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love how this one turned out with the design and colors!

Nothing is popped up so it will mail flat which is always a plus!

Do you like how I tied the balloon to the dog's tail?

Hot Dog

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

A rainy day is on tap here!

Do you have any fun plans today?

I got all my errands done yesterday so today I am going to head to my stamp table after the guys get haircuts. I have the clippers ready so once breakfast is over that is on my agenda!

Yesterday I pulled out an really old pack of paper and paired it up with a SaleABration set called A Touch of Ink. I loved it!

I will share those cards soon!

Today I have a cute card to share that I made using the new Hot Dog set in the 2021 January-July Mini Catalog. It was a set that was not on my radar but as time went on and I seen samples made with it, I changed my mind and ordered it!

My card starts with a Calypso Coral cardbase then a layer of Crushed Curry cardstock.

Then a piece of DSP from Playful Patterns DSP.

I chose my colors from the DSP.

Then I took a piece of Calypso Coral Polka Dot DSP from the same paper pack measuring 2 x 3 3/4 and layered that on top of the striped paper to break it up a bit.

I added some retired Crushed Curry Ribbon and a bow.

I heat embossed my Hot Dog on Calypso Coral cardstock using Winter White Embossing Powder. I diecut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and layered that onto a Whisper White Scalloped Circle from the Circle Layering Framelits.

My sentiment comes from the same set (Hot Dog) and I stamped that with Crushed Curry ink onto a Tasteful Labels Die.

I added that to my card with 2 Dimensionals.

Lastly I added a retired Calypso Coral Enamel Heart to my sentiment panel.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hot Dog

Ink: Crushed Curry, Versamark

Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Playful Patterns DSP

Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Tasteful Labels Dies, Calypso Coral Enamel Heart, Crushed Curry Ribbon (retired), Heat Gun, Winter White EP, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was so thrilled with this card and loved the bright, fun colors!

A breath of fresh air during these dreary winter months!

Hope you liked my card, too!
