Merry Monday Challenge #170

Hello & Happy Monday!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Today, we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday!
Karren is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

She asked that we use "holly" on our cards this week!
Isn't this inspiration photo very pretty?!

This was an easy challenge for me since I left my patterned paper do all the work!
I used my retired Stockings Accents Bigz Die (from a few years back) to cut out my holly & berries. I also found a sentiment that worked perfectly!

Decorated Jelly Jar

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Busy day today!

I completely forgot to get my blog updated this morning. Gigi & Bailee had Doggie Spa Day till noon then hubby & I did some work around the house, gave Ryan a buzz cut, fixed supper then I finally had a chance to grab a shower! I feel soo much better but my eyes are starting to get heavy. The Baltimore Ravens are playing right now and I just hope I can keep my peepers open!

On Thursday I made some Black Raspberry Jelly. I decided to get these small 4 oz jars for something different this year. I had really hoped the small jars would fit into the Baker's Box but it did not. So I decorated a jar of jelly to give to a friend.

Decorated Jelly Jar:

Stamps: Homemade for You
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Delightful Dijon, Very Vanilla, Bohemian DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Bermuda Bay 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestone, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue

A quick & easy gift!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!

I'm looking forward to seeing all the girls and having a fun time! Also can't wait to see what Nan is going to share with us from the new Holiday Mini that starts on Tuesday! WooHoo!

Today I played a bit with my Baker's Box Thinlit Die. This box wasn't as big as i'd hoped it be but still holds a good bit of stuff!

I filled my box with some Ghiradelli Mini's for a yummy treat! They even match the Delightful Dijon color on my tag!

All Boxed Up Kit

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I did not participate in any challenges. I had a headache most of the day so I just lounged around with my Bailee Boo by my side. She is such a little love bug! So I do have a project i've been wanting to share and today is the day!

My second order from the new Stampin Up 2015 Catalog had this kit & coordinating stamp set in it! I loved it from the moment I saw it and could hardly wait to order it!

I got the All Boxed Up Stamp Set on page 63 and the All Boxed Up Kit on page 154. I could not wait to sit and put it together for a special occasion.

I filled these with the New Hershey's Caramels! They are to die for!
This kit is really fun to put together and goes together very quickly! I love all the embellishments that come in the kit and surprisingly these boxes hold quite a bit!

If your looking for a cute little treat holder, these are the ticket!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 545

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Storms rolled thru last evening and what a gorgeous day we are having today! I think the next 4 days are to be exceptional! I'll take it!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS. Here are the colors & my card.

Gold & Very Vanilla with a dessert option of using butterflies.

I have been working on some Christmas cards the last few days and when I seen the challenge today my mind went directly to this stamp set from last year, Gentle Peace. It is a wonderful set! I embossed all my images in Gold Embossing Powder on Very Vanilla cardstock.
After I completed the first card I just decided to make a pack of 5 for my craft show. I am trying really hard to keep my cards flat for easy mailing. I lost out on a few sales last year at the show because my cards would have required extra postage. Lesson learned!
Once my image was embossed, I left it cool then hand cut it out. I added 2 dimensionals to it so I could add my Very Vanilla Thick Twine under it. It is still mail friendly! :)

Color Challenge #545 Card:

Stamps: Gentle Peace
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Very Vanilla Thick Twine w/ Gold, 2 Sided Tape

That is all for today!
BTW, I did not make my Black Raspberry Jelly yesterday. It was just too hot!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Yet Another Bread Box

Hello & Happy Monday!

It sure was a wonderful weekend and I enjoyed just relaxing and spending time with Shawn.

Today I am going to share another Bread Box I made 2 weeks ago. I really love this Farmer's Market DSP and the prints on it. I wish there would be a sheet of strawberry's in there too but sadly there is not.

This is the box I made when I whipped up the Lemon Glazed Zucchini Breads.

I will be making more of these come cooler weather for pumpkin bread! These are a nice way to present a loaf of yummy bread to a friend, neighbor, teacher or co worker! I better start investing in more aluminum foil pans! LOL

Bread Box #3:

Stamps: Homemade For You
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Hello Honey, Very Vanilla, Farmer's Market DSP
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, 2 3/8 Circle Scallop Punch, Mossy Meadow Satin Ribbon, Very Vanilla & Gold Trimmed Thick Twine, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Well, that's all I have for today!
I am going to try to start the process of making some black raspberry jelly today!
It's one of my favorites!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy 80th Birthday, Dad!!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying your weekend!
Our weather here in PA has been absolutely wonderful the last 2 days! I am just loving this and my back loves it too! No crafting for me today as I am just enjoying the weather and hanging with the hubby (since he was done work early)!

Earlier this week was my Dad's 80th birthday! He has overcome quite a few obstacles ( Polio as a child, losing his pointer finger on the job years ago, Prostate Cancer and recently a Pacemaker) in his 80 years and i'm SO thankful he is still here with us! He is one in a million in my eyes and i'm grateful for all he has done for me in my life. He is a big supporter of my crafts and loves to always check out what I make. I enjoy spending time with him because there is nothing in this world I would not do for him, ever!

So in honor of his birthday, I sat down and made a card for him. I pulled a picture off my phone from his birthday last year and printed it out for him to put on his card. I hope you like!

My picture is a bit muted since I printed it out on Very Vanilla cardstock but I really do love it!
I borrowed the On Film Framelits from my friend Deb months ago and was hanging on to it to create this card I had bouncing in my head for months! Thanks Deb K. I will see now that you get this back!

I loved all the arrows in this paper from last year called, Retro Fresh. I also had the What's Up punch to coordinate with it. I wanted to put more arrows on it but I did not want to bulk up the card. I added some Coastal Cabana Thick Twine and called it done. I must confess I spent hours on this card because it was not turning out the way I pictured in my head and when I went to print out the picture I ran out of ink. An hour & a half  later after running to get ink we were back in business! LOL

I really love it and hope my Dad did too!

Happy 80th Birthday, Dad!!

Dad's Birthday Card:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics sentiment, Old Alphabet Set in my stash for the "DAD"
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, So Saffron, Very Vanilla, Retro Fresh DSP
Accessories: On Film Framelits, What's Up Punch, Coastal Cabana Thick Twine, Hexagon Punch (flag end), Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Swallowtail In Pistachio

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yesterday I took the day off from blogging to wrap up the card order I have been working on.
Here is another pack I made for Audrey.
She asked for butterflies and she will surely get butterflies with this order!

I made a card similar to this about a month or so ago. I stamped my butterfly in Strawberry Slush and loved the look! Today I stamped my butterfly in Pistachio Pudding and added matching Thick Twine, some small white pearls and my sentiment. My pictures aren't that great. I'm working with some different lights in my light box but i'm thinking I may need a newer camera. I've had this one since 2010. It is a Nikon Coolpix.

I know Audrey is going to love these!

Swallowtail Card Set:

Stamps: Swallowtail, Simply Sketched sentiment
Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Memento Black
Cardstock: Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
Accessories: Pistachio Pudding Thick Twine, White Pearls, Stamp A Ma Jig, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for me today!
Hubby will soon be home and we have some errands to run. Tomorrow I will be taking the day off from blogging to spend the day with him. Sunday he will be working.

Thanks for stopping by & have a good weekend!

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

I had a call yesterday from my good customer, Audrey, asking if she could order a few packs of cards. She loves cards with butterflies on them so I got to work on them right away!

I am trying to use up some DSP packs that only have a piece or 2 left in them. This paper is from SaleABration 2015, called Best Year Ever DSP. I love the prints & colors in that pack!

This little butterfly die is probably my favorite of all the butterfly dies! I love how dainty it is!

Accessories: MS Scallop Heart Border Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Bold Butterfly Framelits, White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Glue

Blackberry Bliss Bread Box

Hello & Happy Saturday!

The heat is on here in PA today.
I'm going to make a quick trip out to the store then back home where i'm going to hibernate for the next few days! Hubby & I will probably canning pasta sauce sometime this weekend since we have a boatload of tomatoes that need to be used. It's a time consuming process but well worth it once winter comes and we crack open a jar of fresh pasta sauce! Yum!
Sometime in between I hope to sneak off to my stamp table to craft a bit. There is a little project in the back of my mind that i'd like to try and whip up. I'll tell you more about that later!

Today I am going to share another bread box that I made last weekend. This one I gave to my good friend, Deb! I used the Market Fresh DSP and Blackberry Bliss cardstock for it. Love this color! The directions for the bread box have the breads wrapped in Saran Wrap and sitting down in the box. I did not do that with this type of bread because it has a glaze on it. I left it in the small foil pans and covered them with the Saran Wrap and sat it down inside the box. The top edge of the foil pain does not allow the pan to sit down in the whole way. And that's ok. The glaze is messy so that's why I left the bread in the pans.

I tucked the little flaps on the outside, inside and then I added some lace trim to the top of the box. I added my Blackberry Bliss Ribbon then tied on my tag with some Blackberry Bliss Heavy Twine from SaleABration 2015. I took the ends of the twine and frayed them just for interest. This box is actually my favorite, I love the colors!

Here is the link for the directions for making the bread boxes. They really dress up a little loaf of goodness and would be great in the fall & winter when people are baking breads for gifts. If you have a Simply Score Board from Stampin Up! you really need to give this a try! Quick & easy!

Blackberry Bliss Farmer's Market Bread Box:

Stamps: Homemade for You
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, Farmer's Market DSP
Accessories: Simply Score Board, Blackberry Bliss Satin Ribbon & Heavy Twine, Lace Trim, 2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch, Tombow Liquid Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great weekend!
