Healing Hugs

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!!!

Finally the weekend is here! Do you have any fun plans?
Shawn & I are gonna do a good clean out of junk from the basement, the shed & the garage and take a truck load to the dump next week. It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate over the years! I truthfully feel like we already did this a couple of years ago and here we are again.

Today I have a pretty floral card to share with you. This is all things retired once again.

Card Details:

Stamps: So Sentimental (retired 2020)
Ink: Magenta Madness (retired In Color)
Cardstock: Magenta Madness (retired In Color), Just Jade (retired In Color), Basic White, Flowers For Every Season DSP (retired 2020)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies (retired 20202), Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon (retired), Just Jade In Color Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Isn't that paper so pretty? That package of 6x6 paper I have used alot over the years! I think I had 3 packs. The prints were gorgeous and made creating a card pretty quick & easy! I still have some left which you will see more of eventually! It's one of my fav's!

So my question is to you....
Have you ever had a pack of DSP that was your favorite and what was the name of it?

Cheery Chat Get Well

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!!

Today my hubby is off and we have a list a mile long of errands to run!
Atleast it's going to be a nice day!
I have a pretty card to share with you that I made with a really old wood mounted set called Cheery Chat. I paired the stamps with a beautiful floral paper from Floral Delight DSP.
It's so pretty!

Card Details:

Stamps: Cheery Chat (retired 2001)
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Basic White, Floral Delight DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Daffodil Delight Ribbon (retired), Daffodil Delight Glitter Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's really sad that I have to type out all the stuff that is retired.
I feel like Stampin Up! retires products at lightening speed anymore.
Not sure how anyone actually uses anything up!
I have SO much product that I left my customers know that sometime in this coming year I will be stepping down as a demonstrator. My hands aren't what they use to be. I will still be sharing here on my blog just won't be a SU Demo anymore. I feel it's time...

Feel Better Soon

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

This is gonna be a short update today as I have a busy day ahead with preparing for a Stamp Day w/ Friends get together tomorrow morning! I am so excited to see my friends and make some cards with them!

My card today was made with all retired Stampin Up! products because I am trying to focus more on using up the retired stuff. I do have some new products like the Valentine's & Easter suites that are in the new 2026 Mini Catalog but that is about it. We all have lots & lots of retired products so let's use it up!

Card Details:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, Vellum, Basic White, Abstract Beauty DSP (retired)
Accessories: Hippo & Friends Dies (retired), Wanted to Say Dies (retired), Gold Metallic Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Low Profile Gold Dots (retired Online Exclusives), Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Vellum Tape, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So many people have been or are sick with lots of things going around since Christmas. Knock on wood, so far we have steered clear of any of it and I hope we can get thru winter without picking it up! I made this card to have on hand just incase I need it for someone who is under the weather.

Feel Better Soon

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Today I have a pretty card to share with you that has been awhile in the making so to speak. I started this card atleast a year or so ago and never finished it. I had the Petal Pink cardbase cut and the Crushed Curry panel embossed and then it got tossed aside for some reason. Last week I found it and decided to do something with it. So I added some paper from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP which is now retired. Isn't that daisy paper just so pretty? I felt like this needed to be a Get Well card for on the card rack.

Card Details:

Stamps: So Sincere (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Crushed Curry, Basic White, Delightfully Eclectic DSP (retired)
Accessories: Tailor Made Tags Dies (retired), Basics 3D EF (retired), Crushed Curry Ribbon (retired), Petal Pink Sequins (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Lots of retired products on this card but I got to get this stuff used up!
I think this one would cheer just about anyone up!

Get Well Soup, Card #3 from Stamp Day

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

So glad the weekend is upon us! They are calling for some gorgeous weather tomorrow and I am hoping (fingers crossed) to get outside to clean leaves from the rain gutters and get the yard looking ready for spring! Shawn is planning on going fishing in the morning then once he's done we will get started on the yard. I hope you get a chance to get out & enjoy the nice weather, too!

Today I am sharing with you the 3rd card we made at my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. Deb made the comment that we needed some Get Well cards so this one was made just for her suggestion. This winter has been pretty harsh with colds, flu and Covid so I decided to pull out an oldie but a goodie to make this card. This one is a wood mounted stamp called Get Well Soup that I have hardly ever used and it worked nicely!

Card Details:

Stamps: Get Well Soup
Ink: Island Indigo (retired)
Cardstock: Island Indigo (retired), Mint Macaron (retired), Basic White, Blooms & Bliss DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Mint Macaron Shimmer Ribbon (retired), Iridescent Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved how our cards turned out for this one, just wish the stamp would stamp a bit clearer. I even took a sanding block over the rubber in hopes it would pick up ink better but did not have much luck with that. I also stamped on our foam mat to see if it helped but not by much. I think it's just how it's suppose to be.
I do wish Stampin Up! would give us more of these kind of stamps for particular occasions. It's been awhile since we've had single stamps like this. When I was cleaning out my stamps a few weeks ago and inventoried everything, I found a bunch of single stamps from 2013 that are Christmas stamps. I loved those and wish SU! would still give us those kind. They were the best!

Comforting Thoughts

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

The weekend is finally upon us and they are calling for more yukky weather all weekend. Possibly some snow today, rain tomorrow and another shot at some snow on Sunday. Truth be told, I am ready for the winter weather to go! It's been difficult to get out for walks with the winds gusting up to 30 mph and temps in the 20's.

Today I have a card to show you that I made for my card rack using a stamp set from the Online Exclusives list. This one is chocked full of sayings that are good to have on hand. I paired it with some paper from SaleABRation 2023 called Dainty Flowers DSP. It's a beautiful pack of paper and thankfully I have another pack of it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Comforting Thoughts (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Starry Sky (retired)
Cardstock: Starry Sky (retired), Basic White, Dainty Flowers DSP (retired-SAB 23)
Accessories: Everyday Details Dies, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Inside Says " Get Well Soon".

While I have no card orders I have been working on card kits and building up my card rack again. It was hit pretty hard at Christmastime. Yesterday I pulled out all my Valentine's Day stamps and sat on the floor at my feet so I can soon get started on making them. I also did 2 card kits for the girls, Valentine related. I was hoping maybe to do a get together this weekend but I have a haircut appointment tomorrow and Sunday is football. Our Baltimore Ravens play the Buffalo Bills in a divisional game at 6pm. Every game in the playoffs is one game closer to going to the Super Bowl. My fingers are crossed!

Get Well Box

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a fun project to share with you!

Earlier this week Kelsey had mentioned that her neighbor wasn't feeling good. She thought maybe she had Covid. I sent 2 boxes of Covid tests over to Kels to give the young lady so she could test. It came back negative. So it got me to thinking what could I do to help her feel better? I have never met this young girl but she is a single mom to 2 kiddo's and her & Kelsey have become good friends. As I was going thru my stash in my craft room I started working on a wood box that I got from the Dollar Tree a few years back. I added paper and then some paper shred inside. Then it hit me that I had a can of Campbell's Chicken & Rice soup in the pantry. I grabbed it and added it to my box along with some Hall's Honey Cough Drops. I then remembered that I had some small Kleenex tissue packs in my drawer so I made a box to put it in and decorated it to match the wood box. Lastly, I added some Dove Milk Chocolate & Caramel candies in a bag for when she is feeling better. I took pictures then wrapped it all up in a wine bottle cello bag that Stampin Up! carried years ago. I added a cute tag with some leaves. Shawn saw it when he got in from work and said we needed to deliver it so we did. We sat it on her doorstep and he knocked on her door and ran to get on the elevator so she did not see us. We laughed! To this day we have not heard anything on it. Kels has not mentioned it so i'm not sure if the young girl even mentioned it to her. Kelsey does not know we did this!! I wanted to brighten the girls day and hope she feels better soon.

I'm not gonna list all the stuff I used on this but if you need to know something just let me a message and i'll get back to you!

This was a fun little gift to make and I really do hope it helps her to feel better soon!

Sweetly Scripted

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a pretty card to share that I made with the Sweetly Scripted stamp set from the Online Exclusives list. This set reminds me of 2 wood mounted sets from Stampin Up! that were out in the early 2000's called Wonderful Words & Wonderful Words 2. I'm pretty sure I still have both in my collection!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweetly Scripted (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Summer Splash
Cardstock: Summer Splash, Basic White, Petunia Pop, Unbounded Beauty DSP
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, Nested Essentials Dies, Flowers of Beauty Dies, Brushed Brass Butterflies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another one made for the card rack since my Get Well slot is getting empty.
That DSP I find a bit challenging to use because it's quite busy.
It sure made a pretty card though!

Healing Hugs

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

After a stormy day we are in for a nice day today!
We got alittle bit of rain and hopefully more will come soon.

Today I have card # 3 from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
This one uses an old set called Healing Hugs.
Deb had asked for Get Well cards so I was happy to help!

Card Details:

Stamps: Healing Hugs
Ink: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, Basic White, Dandy Designs DSP (SAB 23)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched With Whimsy Dies, Petal Pink/Champagne Ribbon, Champagne Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I enjoyed creating this card especially using the Stitched With Whimsy Dies.
They add so much interest to a card.

Speedy Recovery

 Good Morning & Happy Wednesday!

Waking up to a beautiful morning here in Pennsylvania but a bit on the cold side.
I guess that is why I ended up turning the heat back on. 60's later today and mid 80's the next 2 days....crazy isn't it?
Today is the last episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian on Disney+ which Shawn & I have been watching each week. It's all related to Star Wars which I have never been a fan of nor understood but I do like watching this show for some reason. Anyone else watch this?
Yesterday I got to my stamp table and was there until late afternoon getting my projects crossed off my list. I made a big pan of lasagna for last night's supper and most likely will freeze the other half for another day. It was so good! First I made it in a long while.
Today I have more things on my list to cross off at my stamp table but before I get there I wanted to share the 2nd card from my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This was a request from Deb for some Get Well cards. I'm always happy to create them when they ask!

Card Details:

Stamps: Speedy Recovery
Ink: Garden Green, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Garden Green, Basic White, Tea Boutique DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Teacup Dies, Timeworn Type 3D EF, Glossy Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I started with the Tea Boutique DSP and this lemon print. I had scraps in my pack that I decided to use up which compliments my tea cup perfectly! The girls loved this one, too! It was quick & easy to put together. The inside says "Feel Better, Friend".

Sending Get Well Cheer

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your day is off to a good start even with the loss of that hour. It's a bit of a rough start here but we will get use to it. I am looking forward to longer days of daylight for sure! Clouds are moving in this morning as rain is on our doorstep today thru tomorrow. We've sure had alot of rain this winter which i'm so glad was not snow.
Today I have a card to share that I made a few weeks ago to put on my card rack. I randomly pulled out some of the Waves of the Ocean DSP and reached for my Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. Here is the end result...

Card Details:

Stamps: Butterfly Brilliance, Cheerful Basket (saying)
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Basic White, Waves of the Ocean DSP (retired)
Accessories: Scalloped Contour Dies, Brilliant Wings Dies, Waves Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm not sure why I made this into a Get Well card but i'm guessing that was what I was feeling that day! So many people have been sick this winter and I wanted to make sure I had a good supply on hand.

Wishing You Well

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

So sorry for the late update today! It was a very busy day!
We have been running around since 8am this morning as I had a haircut. I got 7 inches cut off. I really needed to do it as it was so long and I just could not stand it any longer. A weight has been lifted and it feels so much better! After my hair appointment I grabbed a few things at Walmart then headed home to wash a sink full of dishes and clean the bedrooms. We had a late breakfast then took Ryan for his photo ID in the afternoon. Then Shawn & I ran to the car wash to wash both cars since the sun was shining nicely! After that it was time to get the laundry started and supper! The sun is setting now and it's pajama time! Phew, what a day!

I have a quick card to share that I made just recently for my card rack.
My get well selection has 2 cards left and desperately needs more. I pulled out a goodie from a few years ago called Wishing You Well and got to work...

Wishing You Well was the very first Distinktive stamp set that Stampin Up created a couple of years ago. Since then they've had many and I personally love the them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wishing You Well
Ink: Crushed Curry, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Basic White, Pool Party
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Stitched Labels Framelits (retired), Circle Layering Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Dragonfly Trinkets, Pool Party Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love pulling out the old stuff and mixing it with new to create something!
I wish the really old stamp sets had dies because fussy cutting just isn't my thing.
