You & Me

 Happy Saturday, Friends!

We are waiting on another round of winter weather to hit here in Pennsylvania. Rain, freezing rain, sleet & snow....a whole mixed bag of yuk! I keep saying 40 something days till spring!
Today Shawn & I are just hanging out at home. We took a long walk around the neighbor this morning while the sun was out. It wasn't too bad temperature wise but it's probably the only walk for this week with more winter weather coming.
Yesterday when I was making the gnome cards I came across a stamp set that has a variety of holiday images in it. It is the retired Everyday Essentials set that is a fun one and covers several holidays. I saw a stamp in it that I had never used before so I had to whip out another quick card with it before I cleaned up for the day.

Card Details:

Stamps: Everything Essential (retired), Takeout Treats (retired saying inside), Country Bouquet (retired saying inside)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, From My Heart Specialty DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Real Red Linen Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

On this card I just took some scraps of the From My Heart Specialty paper and cleaned them up and added them to my card.  The red polka dot paper is foil paper so it's shiny and adds a bit of bling to the card. I just added my red bow from my stash and called this one done!

This one is on my card rack For Sale.

Country Bouquet Valentine's Day Set

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Our morning is starting off with some wintery weather.
Many schools have delayed the start of classes or closed.
I have a set of Valentine's Day cards to share that I made recently. I was trying to get this pack of Country Floral Lane DSP used up...maybe next year!
I used my favorite Valentine's set...Country Bouquet.

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet (retired)
Ink: Sweet Sorbet (retired), Petal Pink, Mint Macaron (retired)
Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet (retired), Basic White, Country Floral Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Country Bouquet Punch (retired), White Glittered Ribbon (retired), Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Again, just using up some scraps that were in the pack that I had cut for other projects and did not use. I haven't decided what I am using this year for my personal cards. I may use these or the slew of cards that are in my Valentine's bin! Guess I better soon decided since Valentine's Day is a week away!

Just Wanted to Say...

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

I'm under the weather today and feeling not the best. Shawn was down & out with a head cold over the weekend and I guess now it's my turn. I usually do get it atleast once over the winter months. I'm going to do my best today to just relax and sip on lots of water & broth to help ease the sore throat.
So, I am sharing a set of Valentine's Day cards that I made last week. I'm trying hard to use up what's in my stash and I pulled out the retired Country Bouquet Suite from a few years ago. It was one of my favorites!

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet (retired)
Ink: Sweet Sorbet (retired)
Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet (retired), Basic White, Country Floral DSP (retired)
Accessories: Country Bouquet Punch (retired), Square Layering Framelits (retired), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were originally going to go to Audrey but then she requested something all together different for Valentine's Day. I will share those cards soon! And as for this pack of cards....they were placed on my card rack for sale.

I do not have much of this DSP left which is a good thing and as I said, it was one of my favorites over the years! I made lots of cards using this suite with more to come. I have been trying to find ways of using up the scraps which can be fun, too!
Can you believe Valentine's Day is right around the corner?!

Twisted Ribbon Technique

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well.
Yesterday I made my way to my stamp table to play a little with a new technique called Twisted Ribbon. Actually it's been around a while but I only just tried my hand at it. You know me, I am always late to the party on trying something new! I found a video tutorial from Terri Gaines whom is a Stampin Up demonstrator. Here is the link if your interested in trying this.

Since Valentine's Day is coming I pulled out some retired Country Floral DSP from last year and tried my hand at the Twisted Ribbon Technique. It's pretty easy and definitely gives your card a different look. And also it's a great way to use up those 1/2 inch strips of paper!

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet
Ink: Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron (retired)
Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Balmy Blue, Country Floral DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Country Bouquet Punch, Simply Score Board, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins (retired), Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

This was my first try so I hope to make more soon!

Happy Anniversary

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

It's been crazy busy around the Aungst Pad the last few days!
I feel like I turned my whole house upside down and did a deep cleaning. Kelsey is suppose to keep my downstairs cleaned but I don't think she knows what a good deep cleaning is!! So, out of frustration I went and tore the family room & my stamp room apart and cleaned every nook & cranny. Yesterday, I felt it! My back is giving me grief but it needed to be done.

Today I have a anniversary card to share using the Country Bouquet stamp set & matching punch. I used it alot back around Valentines Day but since it has carried over into the new SU Annual Catalog I decided to pull it out and make some more cards for on the card rack.

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet, Love For You
Ink: Petal Pink, Soft Succulent (retired)
Cardstock: Soft Succulent (retired), Petal Pink, Basic White, Country Floral DSP (retired)
Accessories: Curvy Dies (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Country Bouquet Punch, Petal Pink/Champagne Ribbon (retired), Champagne Rhinestones (retired) Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the colors of this one! It was fun to pull out some retired items and create with them. It's hard to see but the floral piece of DSP was diecut with one of the Curvy Dies that retired maybe a year or two ago. I never got much use from them so I hope to start using some of these things!

Valentine's Day Fun Fold

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I am sharing the 5th card from last Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
This was the last card I created for that event and a fun one, too!
I saw a card on the Facebook Stampin Up! Demonstrator page which did not give the measurements so I sat and played with it until I got it to look like the card that was shown. The sample used the Thanks A Bunch stamp set which is a SaleABRation stamp set and I used the Country Bouquet stamp set to create a Valentines Day card for the girls. I don't know if there is a particular name for this fun fold but I called it a Flip Flap Fun Fold. Say that 5 times! LOL

This was a hard one to get a good picture of!
If you look at picture #4 you will get the idea of how this card looks when opened.

The girls loved making this one as it is easier than it looks!
The hearts & leaves on the front were punched out of the Country Lane Floral DSP using the Country Bouquet Punch. That also made it easier and much quicker.
I will be using this fun fold again at another of our get togethers soon!

I will list the measurements down below if you interested in trying your hand at making one.

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet, Inky Antics (inside sentiment)
Ink: Sweet Sorbet
Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet, Pale Papaya, Basic White, Country Lane Floral DSP
Accessories: Country Bouquet Punch, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Dies, Iridescent Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Flip Flap Fun Fold Card:

Card base measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
On the front panel you want to cut on the diagonal from the scored fold at the top to the opposite corner on the bottom.
The inside flap measures 3 1/4 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
Decorate as you please and have fun!

Hope you will give this a try!

Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Boxes

Hello & Happy Monday to you!

We're starting the day off with a foggy, misty rain which they say may change over to snow before this weather system leaves us.
I think it's too warm for snow so we will see!

Today I have a sweet treat to share with you that I made for Valentine's Day!
One day last week I was bored and was on You Tube. I follow Kitchen Table Stamper on there and found a video she had made in December 2020 using the Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Bars. She made the cutest Christmas box for them. I decided the next day I was going to make these except change them up to a Valentine's Day theme! I recently picked up 2 boxes of the Little Debbie treats at my local Giant grocery store but have seen them at many different places.

This is what the box looks like incase you want to make some of these! I will also add the link at the bottom if your interested.

Project Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet
Ink: Petal Pink, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sorbet
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, Country Floral Lane DSP
Accessories: Simply Score Board, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Country Bouquet Punch, Corner Rounder Punch (retired), White Glittered Ribbon, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These are so much fun to create and I enjoyed decorating the front once the treat was inside!
There is also room inside to slip a couple bucks in for the kids which is sure to be the sweetest part of this treat box!

Here is the link if you would like to make some...

I will most likely make these again because I know my family loves these!
I remember my Dad use to always have a pack of these laying on the kitchen table every night as he always took them to work the next day with his lunch. A pack of Nutty Buddy's and a banana! He surely would have loved this treat! <3

Country Bouquet Bundle

Good Morning & Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Hope your having a great start to your weekend!
I've got a pretty set of Valentine's Day cards to share that I made last week for Audrey.
This is the last set that I made for her. I do have some baby cards to share soon that were also part of her order but next week I have some really cool things to show that I made for myself! LOL

This set uses the Country Bouquet stamp set and the Country Bouquet Punch. I wish this set would have come with dies because there are so many cute images in the set that would be so nice not to have to fussy cut! I am not a fussy cutter because it makes my hands hurt but sometimes I do give things a whirl but I pay for it later! This set comes with a coordinating punch which is a great thing but I still think dies would have been wonderful.
Also on this set of cards I decided to try something called Stack & Shuffle.
Take a look and i'll explain after the pictures...

I have seen many different demo's sharing this but it was when I saw LeeAnne Greff share her cards with this technique that made me want to give it a try!

You start out with 4 different sheets of DSP that measure 6 x 6.
Also be mindful of a directional pattern.
Then you cut them in your paper trimmer all together at one time.
Here is a diagram on how to cut your DSP.

Once you have them cut you have to lay them out and shuffle the patterns to get them where you want them. Such a neat idea and it is another way to display your designer series papers!

So you stack your papers to cut then you have to shuffle them around on your cardbase, Such a brilliant idea!
There are so many stamp companies today that sell their papers in 6 x 6 size so this technique would be so easy to try!

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet
Ink: Sweet Sorbet, Mint Macaron
Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, Country Floral Lane DSP
Accessories: Country Bouquet Punch, Something Fancy Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you give it a try!
I know you will love it if your looking for something different!

Country Bouquet Card Set

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Everyone!

1 more day till the weekend!
It's a rainy day here which it seems like we've been getting alot of lately but it's better than snow & ice! I wanted to head to my stamp table but since my hands are bothering me I think I will find something else to do. There's always laundry, right?!

Today I am sharing another set of cards that were made for Audrey.
She requested something Valentine related but without a sentiment.
I pulled out the Country Bouquet Suite and got to work.

I apologize for the horrible pictures. It was a cloudy day that I took these which that does not matter since I am in the basement but my camera does not like the white cardbased cards. I tried my best to lighten them up without washing them out.

Card Details:

Stamps: Country Bouquet
Ink: Mint Macaron, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Basic White, Country Floral Lane DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Labels Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Mint Macaron Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Waves Rhinestones (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Audrey sends hand written notes out to many people each month so I wanted to give her something with hearts on for Valentines Day and I do love the floral heart stamp in the set which was perfect for this kind of card.
