Happy Halloween!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yippppeeee, Halloween is finally here!

Today I realized I needed a little something for Kelsey's new boyfriend.
I quickly made up this cool looking Spooky House for him and filled it with lots of Twix candies!

I used the Sweet Home stamp set with it's coordinating dies, Home Sweet Home Thinlits.
I wasn't going to get this but after seeing that adorable ghost...I had too!

I used last year's Halloween Night DSP to make the box. I liked the brick wall looking sheet. I cut the roof shingles in Basic Black and sponged them with Craft Whisper White ink for a old look. I did not adhere the top together so he could get it open. Instead I used a hole punch and tied some Halloween Night Baker's Twine in a bow to keep it shut. I added yummy candy & a few bucks to this. He seems like a good guy and so far we really like him!

Spooky House Box:

Stamps: Sweet Home, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black, Whisper White Craft
Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Halloween Night DSP
Accessories: Home Sweet Home Thinlits, Halloween Night Twine, Silver Rhinestone, Classic Label Punch, Sponges, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This box wasn't the easiest to create but hopefully the more I use it the easier it will be. I plan to use to for Christmas with those cute gingerbreadmen!

Wishing you all a safe & happy Halloween Night!

Halloween Test Tubes

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Saturday we did our Ghost Tracks train ride. It was fun and something different!
Nothing scary at all which is how I like Halloween!
Here are just a few pictures of our Ghost Ride.

Shawn & I

The Headless Conductor named Kenny!

Our Ghost Tracks Story Teller. She was dressed in olden day attire.

Our tickets

The story that was told on the Ghost Tracks was about the Civil War and the White House. Not sure if it was true or not but our story teller made it very interesting! Our train ride was sold out! They have many different train rides during the year. Some are educational and some are just to see the Fall Foliage. If you live locally you can check them out....

Yesterday was quite the dreary, rainy, windy day here in PA!
We hibernated in the family room most of the day with a log in the fireplace. It got quite chilly yesterday. I turned the heat on last evening to take the chill off. I even seen some places had snow yesterday! I'm SO NOT ready for that!

So, today I have one last project to share with you for Halloween. It is my last one for 2017.
I recently purchased a Paper Pumpkin Kit off of Ebay from September 2016 called Something Good to Eat. Here are the Halloween Test Tubes I made up.

I filled my test tubes with Orange Tic Tacs and put the cork stopper in. I tied the Halloween Night Baker's Twine around them and added my tag. All I stamped was the sentiment and these were completed! Wouldn't you know it, just last week I found Halloween Tic Tacs at my local Giant grocery store. I looked high & low mid September and never found them so I just used the Orange ones. Errrrr! These would have looked awesome with Halloween colored Tic Tacs in them, don't ya think?

My thoughts today....

This evening is the Red Lion Halloween Parade.
The weather is to be be windy & cool. A great way to gear up for Trick or Treat Night tomorrow!

That is all for me today!
I am headed downstairs to either work on finishing a card order or cleaning the family room.
Not sure which one I am feeling at the moment. I think I need a few more cups of coffee to get me started! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!

3X3 Halloween Cards

Hello & Happy Sunday!

A very rainy, windy day is on tap here in PA.
It will be a lazy day for us since there is no football on and no bike ride with the rain.

Today I have 3 cute little cards to share that will be given as part of the Popcorn Boxes I made earlier this week.

I redid the card I made for Kelsey and kept everything the same with using her stamp set, Creep It Real.

Here are the Popcorn Boxes that will go with those cute little cards.

Stampin Up brought back the 3X3 Whisper White Envelopes back this season and I thought they'd be great for gift giving this Halloween. I will add a few bucks to these and give my gang for Halloween!

3X3 Halloween Cards:

Before the day gets away from me I wanted to share my card made for the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge. Halloween is only 3 days away but I am ready to start with some Christmas cards and I used this weeks sketch for it.

I pulled out old stuff for my card.
The stamp set, Reason For The Season, will stay in my collection for a very long time! Love the images & sentiments.

A Very Merry Christmas Card:

Stamps: Reason For The Season

Stop by the Tuesday Morning Sketches and check them out!
They have some fantastic sketches to play along with each week!

My thoughts today....

A firepit with friends looks like fun but not this weekend!
We have some pretty gusty winds out there now and they are to get worse as we are going to get slammed with a cold front tonight and a nor'easter with lots of rain this weekend.
Summer has officially ended here this past week with a couple mornings of frost on the grass.
Next weekend is time to change the clocks already. Sigh!

Well, that is all from me for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a fabulous weekend!
I'll let you know tomorrow how our Ghost Train Ride goes tonight!

Creep It Real 3

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I have the last of my Creep It Real Popcorn Boxes to share!
This one was made for my hubby and I used the Frankenstein in the Creep It Real stamp set.
I pulled out some retired Cucumber Crush cardstock, ran it thru the Big Shot with the Popcorn Box Thinlits and then stamped it with Cucumber Crush ink.

I can't begin to tell you how much fun these Popcorn Boxes were to make! I love when a project comes together so easily and Stampin Up has given us so many cool things to use these days! I promise you I will be making more of these come Christmas!

Again, I added some Halloween Hershey Kisses to a Cello Bag and tied my bag shut with Cucumber Crush Thick Twine. My tag with the BOO stamped on was added last. I also had some Halloween Rice Krispy treats in a green color to add to my Popcorn Box because for me it's all about color and things that match! Shawn loves candy and of course eats those Rice Krispy treats all the time so he will love this! Those Popcorn Boxes hold quite a bit and definitely make a cute treat holder!

Frankenstein Popcorn Box:

Stamps: Creep It Real
Ink: Cucumber Crush, Basic Black
Cardstock: Cucumber Crush, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Thinlits, Cello Bag, Cucumber Crush Thick Twine, Black Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you enjoyed seeing the fun treat holders that were made for my gang!
Give them a try!

My thoughts today...

And our Baltimore Ravens won last night although our quarterback took a hard hit and ended up with a concussion.
Happy to see my Ravens are back though and played an amazing game!!!
Congrats on their shut out win last night! 40 to nothing! How bout those apples!?

I also had a lovely phone call yesterday from my friend Vicki from Missouri!
It made my day to hear a friendly voice!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fabulous day!

Creep It Real 2

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Last evening I got to play with the Creep It Real stamp set again that Kelsey bought.
This time I made a Popcorn Box for my son, Ryan.
Take a look...

Pumpkin Popcorn Box:

Stamps: Creep It Real
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Cello Bag, Halloween Night Twine, Black Rhinestones, , Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

In my stash of Halloween Candy I had these Halloween Rice Krispy Treats in the colors of my Popcorn Boxes so I threw those in my boxes along with the cello bag of Halloween Hershey Kisses!
I am so OCD when it comes to matching colors!
I am going to also slip alittle cash inside the boxes before I give them to the family for Halloween. A little bit of cash & some sweets is sure to make them happy!

My thoughts today....

Haha! This one made me giggle!

That is all for me today!
I will share the last Popcorn Box tomorrow so be sure to stop back!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Creep It Real

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Since I have all my Halloween treats made for my customers and my stamp get togethers with the girls are done....I thought I would take today to work on some Halloween treats for my family!

Kelsey recently purchased this stamp set, Creep It Real, from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Apparently it jumped out at her but not for me. I actually did not like it at all!

I have completely changed my mind!!
I think I am going to try my hand this evening at making more for Ryan & Shawn! I think they will get a kick out of them filled with their favorite candies!

My box is make from the Popcorn Die Thinlits and I used Elegant Eggplant cardstock. The tag that is tied onto my cello bag of Halloween Hershey Kisses is from the Popcorn Box Thinlits. My "BOO" sentiment fit perfectly on it and I added 2 Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dots. It all came together pretty quick and I know she is going to LOVE this next week!

Trick or Treat Popcorn Box:

Stamps: Creep It Real
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Cello Bag, Elegant Eggplant Twine, Hole Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

SO MUCH FUN!

Magnificent Maple

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's a rainy morning here with some crazy winds but it's to be out of here by noon time.
It's to start feeling like Fall after today!

One day last week I sat down to create some cards for Thanksgiving.
I know we aren't even at Halloween yet and i'm thinking ahead to Thanksgiving!
My customer asked for some Thanksgiving cards so I started to create some for her to pick out when the time comes. This is one that will go on the "for sale" rack.

There is something about this big maple leaf stamp that I just love! It stamps so nice! It's a retired stamp but I just love using it year after year!

Happy Thanksgiving Card Set:

Stamps: Magnificent Maple, Holidays & Wishes (both retired)
Ink: Really Rust, Close to Cocoa
Cardstock: Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Apple Cider DSP
Accessories: Twill Tape, Gold Twine, Gold Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Love when I can use up more retired products!

***************************************************
My thoughts today....

There are so many things to love about October!
One of my favorites are the colors of the trees which hopefully soon will start changing.
This week is predicted as "peak color" week here but I haven't seen much in color so far.
I also love the chill in the air once the sun sets in the evenings.
Not ready for winter by far but love the cool crisp air!

That is all for today!
I'm headed off to my stamp room to work on more Thanksgiving Day cards!
I like to give my customer's options!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Congrats!

Hello & Happy Monday!

It sure was a nice weekend around here!
We got out yesterday and took a 15 mile bike ride instead of sitting at home watching the Ravens lose once again! On our ride we finally seen the train that we will be riding on next weekend for the Ghost Tracks event! I'm excited for it!

Here are the pictures of the train on the Rail Trail.

The Steam Into History train has lots of fun activities most of the year!
Yesterday the train ride was for checking out the Fall Foliage which there isn't too much of a change yet. They also have one with Santa during the holidays which I might have to check out sometime!

Today is my day for housework which is never fun.
Before I get started I wanted to share a card I made for my customer.
She requested a Congrats card for her grandson who just purchased his first home.

Lots of older things on this card but in the end it all came together nicely!

Congrats Card:

Stamps: You Brighten My Day SAB 15, Sentiment from Inkadinkado
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Basic Grey- Granola
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, What's Up Punch, Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Brads, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That's all for now!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's been a beauty of a weekend here!

I have a card set to share today that I made for a customer order.
She requested anniversary cards with a Fall theme.

I'd say these are just perfect for this time of year with the leaves changing colors and falling from the trees. I pulled out an old stamp set & old papers to create these and I was very happy with them!

Happy Anniversary Card Set:

Stamps: Gently Falling (retired), Beautiful Bouquet (sentiment)
Ink: Early Espresso, More Mustard
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Spice Cake DSP (retired)
Accessories:  More Mustard Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's always a great day when you can use up some of those older papers!
