Bridal Shower

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I hope your week is going well so far!
I had a doctor appointment last evening for my 6 month check up. All went well. Got blood drawn to check my A1C and my thyroid levels. Also got my flu shot! I'm not usually one to get all these shots that are available these days but after being sick last Fall I decided to get the flu shot for the 2nd year. My arm is a bit sore this morning but so far so good!

Today I am sharing a bridal shower card that Audrey requested a few weeks ago.
She usually gives me the invitation to make something that matches it but this time she only gave me the colors. The colors being: Burgundy, Navy & Gold.
This is what I made for her...

I don't have much in stamps for this occasion so I pulled out my old standby set called Love & Laughter and got busy!

Card Details:

Stamps: Love & Laughter (retired), Sincere Salutations (retired)
Ink: Baroque Burgundy (retired), Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Baroque Burgundy (retired), Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Bouquet of Love Hybrid EF (retired), Deckled Rectangle Dies, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Festive Pearls, Burgundy Sheer Ribbon (retired), Gold Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She was so happy with this card!
It is for her one granddaughter who is getting married in December.
She sure has a lot of big life events going on!

Can you believe that we are 1 week away from Halloween!
Crazy how fast time flies by anymore!

Bridal Shower

Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Our weather was cool & rainy so not much happened around here.

Today I am sharing with you a card I was asked to make for my card lady.
Her grandson is getting married this summer and she sent me the Bridal Shower invite for me to recreate a card like it.
Take a look...

I folded the information part so I did not share the details.
Here is the card I made for her...

I had several different stamp sets out on my table playing around with them to see which I thought looked like the original card.
I settled on a retired SaleABration stamp set from 2018 called, Amazing You.
The ink color is one from many moons ago....Bordering Blue.

Card Details:

Stamps: Amazing You (SAB 18), Sincere Salutations (retired)
Ink: Bordering Blue
Cardstock: Basic White, Bordering Blue
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), White Crinkle Ribbon, Glue Dot, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The ink and cardstock color was just a tad off but still it turned out just about perfect and my card lady was very happy with it!
She has not received the wedding invite yet but said once she does she will share it with me to try my hand at recreating it as well!
Surprisingly, this did not stress me out as everything came together smoothly!

Birthday Wishes

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

The week is winding down and I don't know about you but I am ready for the weekend!
It's been another long week with work going on in the bathroom.
Yesterday the tile was finished and today it will get the grout applied.
Painting also started with a coat of primer and a coat of paint.
Hopefully today we see more changes!

I have a set of cards to share today that I made using all retired products.
I just whipped these up last week and my customer called asking for some birthday cards.
Glad I already have her covered!

I pulled out a pack of DSP called Spring Flowers and got to work creating these with retired colored cardstocks, Chocolate Chip and Cameo Coral. So Saffron is used as well and that color is still current.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sincere Salutations (retired)
Ink: Cameo Coral (retired)
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip (retired). So Saffron, Cameo Coral (retired), Whisper White, Spring Flowers DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Whisper White Ribbon (retired), Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My bows were already made from another project so I used them up!
Always a great feeling using up what's in your stash!

Springtime Set

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

Congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs on their Super Bowl win last night!
After the 3rd quarter I wasn't quite sure they were going to pull it off but they did and did they ever!
Great game and i'm thrilled for Andy Reid and his team!

We're up early this morning after a late night!
Shawn is headed to work and I have a few things I need to do around the house this morning.
It's suppose to be a nice warm sunny day so I want to try to go sit out on the back porch a little and get some sun on some of my Psoriasis spots. It's been doing pretty decent this winter (no major flare ups) and a shot of sunshine will help what is around my hairline and my arms & legs. Last year at this time I started doing the UVB Light Therapy which helped so much!

So, today I have a set of cards I made up for the upcoming spring season.
This set uses all things retired and they are really pretty to boot!

My stamp set is called Polka Dots & Paisley from the SU Spring Mini Catalog from 2007.
The Petals & Paisley DSP coordinates with it.
I remember I was a demo back then when this was available.
Isn't it pretty?

Card Details:

Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley (retired), Sincere Salutations (retired)
Ink: Tempting Turquoise (retired), Old Olive & Pretty in Pink Stampin Write Markers (retired)
Cardstock: So Saffron, Whisper White, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise (retired), Petals & Paisley DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I enjoyed making these and using up some of my older stuff!
This pack of DSP is almost gone.
You may see a few more cards with it but it's getting down to slim pickings!

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope you all had a nice New Year's Day!
Kelsey cooked dinner for us and it was really nice!
Corey had to work so she did all the cooking herself.

Today my hubby is back to work.
Life will now get back to normal. All my holiday hoopla is packed away for another year.
As much as I love the holidays and all the pretty lights & trees, it's nice to get back to normal, too!
I have a bit of housework and laundry to do today.
I was hoping to head to my stamp table today but I don't think that will happen.

I have a set of cards to share that I made up way before Christmas.
These were a customer request and my hands were killing me so I kept these as simple as I could get them.

A mix of old & new were used for this set.
My stamp is from a retired set called Sincere Salutations.
I have always loved the font in this set!
My paper is from the Garden Impressions 6X6 Paper Pad.
So many colorful prints in this!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sincere Salutations (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, So Saffron, Whisper White, Garden Impressions DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Clear Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Simple and yet very pretty!

Thinking Of You....

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend!
The weather here in PA was simply delightful!
I wish it could stay this way all year long!

Yesterday I delivered a card order then took a ride on the Rail Trail on the bikes and ended the day with alittle R&R at home. The girls loved being out in the yard all evening. It actually played them out and they slept all night thru!

Today it's back to the normal routine of Shawn going back to work,
Laundry & lasanga is on my list of "To Do's" then the plan is also to grab the bikes when he gets in from work and get another ride in while our weather is still nice.
Trying to take advantage of it while it's nice because the muggy's will be back later this week, unfortunately!

I have a quick card to share that I made for a card order.
I'm not sure what the reason for this card was but I was pretty happy with the outcome!

This card uses alot of old stuff from my stash and that's ok since I am loving the colors and that adorable kitty stamp! My customer loved it!

Kitty Thinking of You Card:

Stamps: Meow Meow, Sincere Saluations (both sets are retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chcolate Chip, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, DCWV (old pad)
Accessories: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies, Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Turquoise Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue,,,

I also wanted to let you know that my customer loved the Loyal & True card from yesterday!
She was so thrilled with it and said she could not wait to see her grandson to give it to him!
She is such a sweet lady!

Here are today's colors:
Real Red, Chocolate Chip & Bermuda Bay

Dessert option: use a diecut

I pulled out some paper from my stash that is from Basic Grey Jovial Collection. I love that it has today's colors in it. I reached for this cute snowman that I tend to use alot with this paper. He is from Stampendous. I went with dessert today using a Labels Framelit to cut out my snowman.

Color Challenge #447 Card:

Stamps: Stampendous, Sentiment from Sincere Salutations
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip, Neenah White, Basic Grey Jovial DSP
Accessories: Labels Framelits, Jumbo Eyelet, Real Red Stitched Ribbon, MS Bakers Twine,  Corner Rounder, Glue Pen, Glitter, Crop A Dile, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

I usually make quite a few pocket cards for the holidays because people can add money or a gift card with them. They are a big seller at my craft shows too!

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!
