Freshly Made Sketches 591

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Saturday I came across my friend's blog that shared a card made using the Freshly Made Sketches layout and I had to give it a whirl! Thanks, Carol!

Here is the sketch...

Card Details:

Stamps: Gorgeously Made
Ink: Berry Burst
Cardstock: Berry Burst, Pretty Peacock, Bubble Bath, Masterfully Made DSP
Accessories: Gorgeously Made Dies, Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is a new bundle of stamps, dies & paper which was on my Wish List since the new catty came out. The DSP is pretty busy but I love the colors in it.

I'm pretty sure I missed the deadline on getting my card uploaded to the FMS page.
It was still fun and pretty easy to create since I have a template in my stash for this design.

I also wanted to share that picture of Miss Bailee from her day at Doggy Day Spa.
She will be turning 12 in a few months and is just the sweetest little dog, ever!

Hello, Friend

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your enjoying a long weekend!
Today I am a bit late updating and I will get to more of why at the end.
I have a cute card to share made using some products from the Cheerful Daisies Suite in the new catalog. I need a few friend cards so this was an easy start to making one card atleast!

I have a friend that is going in the hospital for an extensive surgery in a few weeks and I want to get some cards made to send her as encouragement & support.
I started with a Garden Green cardbase then a layer of Bubble Bath cardstock. Bubble Bath is a new color and this is the first time I have used it. Next up is a layer of Basic White cardstock that I ran thru the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine with a new embossing folder called Exposed Brick 3D which reminds me of some older ones we've had. Next I cut a piece of the Fresh As A Daisy DSP. There is a sheet of paper that you can cut up and use instantly on cards. Each section has a different set of flowers or backgrounds that can be used. I then layered this daisy print onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock and adhered it to my card. I diecut my sentiment using a Cheerful Daisy Die. The sentiment comes from the Hope You Know stamp set on page 22. I finished up with a Garden Green bow and 3 little Rhinestones. This is ready for the mail come Tuesday morning!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hope You Know
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Bubble Bath, Basic White, Fresh As A Daisy DSP
Accessories: Cheerful Daisy Dies, Exposed Brisk 3D EF, Rhinestones, Garden Green Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My little Bailee Boo has not been doing well the last few days.
She had the poopies since Wednesday then Saturday morning she started throwing up.
Shawn took her to the Vet yesterday morning. They gave her a shot in her butt for the vomiting then a gel in her mouth that is to stop the poopies. She still has a good appetite and drinking lots of water but I could tell after being up in the yard all night Friday something was wrong. She had no fever and everything checked out well with the Vet. She has a medicine to take now to help settle her belly once a day and also on a bland diet until her poop sample results come back on Tuesday. Thankfully last night she was able to sleep all night and we've had no more issues. You would never know anything was wrong the last few days because she still plays, chews on her antler and runs after the birds in the back yard. Once the test results come back I will let you know.
Mr Shady has not been sick so we don't think it's anything contagious.

Miss Bailee

 Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

I do not have any cards or stamped projects to share with you today but rather wanted to share a picture of Miss Bailee who was at Doggy Day Spa yesterday.
Shawn brought her out to the truck in her little Valentine scarf.
I think my heart grew 3 sizes bigger.....she looked so cute!

Miss Bailee came to us from Lovettsville, Virginia thru Operation Paws for Homes.
Her foster mommy was the same lady that fostered Miss Gigi.
We wanted a playmate for Miss Gigi so we adopted Miss Bailee.
She was 2 years old when we adopted her. She came to the rescue after her owner surrender her to them because they were moving and could not take the dog with them. At 2 years old she still had alot of puppy in her but she was the sweetest dog. She is now 11 and still just a little lovebug! I could not imagine our lives without her. Miss Gigi did eventually warm up to having her in our lives and the 2 did get along well. When we lost Miss Gigi in April of 2022 Miss Bailee was sad a few days but when she realized she got even more love & attention she was fine. Miss Gigi taught her many good things & some not so good like killing chipmunks in the backyard which I hate. She does not have a single mean bone in her body so why she kills chipmunks is beyond me. It must be a territorial thing.
Anyways, she is the light of our lives and I wanted to share this sweet picture of her.
My little cuddlebug & lovebug all wrapped up in one!

And one more thing to add....Her adoption name was Zia Zia but her foster mom told us her original name was Bailee! Bailee is a great name so we kept it! We call her Bail Bail or Bailee Boo. We love her to pieces!!

What A Weekend...

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
My weekend seemed like it went by rather fast!
Saturday the girls had doggy day spa. Here are before & after pics of them.
It's been 12 weeks since they last were there.

Gigi desperately needed it! I bathed her 3 weeks ago but her hair was already quite long & shaggy. Now she looks more like a maltese/shih tzu. She's not very camera friendly. I think she lost 10 pds of fur!

Bailee is not camera shy at all as you can see. Such a lil ham!
She is part Yorkie and possibly Shih tzu mix. Her groomer thinks she has some Cairn Terror in her the way she is built. She is quite the little social bug and always keeps herself entertained!

I'm sure after their day at the dog spa they feel SO much better and they certainly look better!

On Sunday Shawn & I got out for a walk at Lake Williams. There are so many walking/hiking/biking trails there. The sun was shining brightly but don't let that fool you....it was quite chilly!

If you can see those pine trees straight ahead in the picture well that was a huge hill. It was my idea to take that part of the trail not knowing what we'd encounter.
It was a 15 foot huge straight up hill! Now I don't mind walking when the ground is level but this was quite literally straight up! It's one of those types of hills that would be excellent for sledding if it wasn't for the curves in the trail & the trees. I was huffing & puffing to the top and my back was telling me it hated me! My back does not handle the hills very well as I can feel the strain on it. All in all it was a good walk but today I am definitely feeling it! LOL

Today I have a baby card to share.
My card rack had no more baby girl cards on it so I need to remedy that.

This baby stroller image is from an older SU set that I have no idea the name.
When I lived in Joplin I borrowed this stamp set from Vicki and stamped off a bunch of images.
I also used an old Freshly Made Sketches design for my layout.
All my panels except my card base was cut with the Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle Dies.
My image was colored with Copic Markers.

I left the inside blank for now.
I have customers that will ask for a saying inside and others like to write there own inside sayings.

Do you write your own messages inside or do you stamp them??

I personally am not one for words so I usually stamp my sayings.

My thoughts today....

Amen to that!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day!

Bounty of the Season & A Happy Doggy

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I went to my stamp table to play a bit before I got to work on Christmas things.
It felt good to sit and just pull out a bunch of old stuff and create!
This is one of what I made today...

I pulled out all kinds of stuff Fall/Thanksgiving related. I also got this pack of retired Apple Cider DSP out. I have always loved the colors in it but keep forgetting that I still have it. Actually there is 2 packs of it....so yes, I really needed to put it to good use!

The leaf is the Magnificent Maple stamp and the sentiment is from Amuse.

I love this card and i'm sure the recipient will too!

Bounty of the Season Card:

Stamps: Magnificent Maple, Bounty of the Season- Amuse
Ink: Really Rust, Close to Cocoa
Cardstock: Really Rust, Close to Cocoa, Very Vanilla, Apple Cider DSP (retired)
Accessories: Twill Tape, Gold Gems, Gold Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

My thoughts today.....

My little Bailee has been with my family now for 3 years!
Today is her Happy Adoption Day!

She has come along way in the last 3 years and let me tell you, she has such a wonderful personality!
She will entertain herself while playing with her toys and she loves to give lots of licks & kisses for belly rubs. She is so sweet & lovable and just completes my family! We could not ask for a more wonderful adopted doggy than my Bailee Boo!

She was 2 years old when we made the trip to Virginia to adopt her and today she is 5.
Happy Adoption Day my little Bailee!
We love you to the moon & back!

That is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Bella & Friends

Hello & Happy Saturday!

I know I sound like a broken record but another hazy, hot & humid day here.
Blah, blah, blah! Wish I had something good to say about the weather but I don't.

I do have one good thing to talk about though....my SU order finally arrived yesterday!
WooHoo!

I quickly made this card last night which is going out in the mail today!
I got Bella & Friends as soon as it came out in the new catalog last month..
Reminds me of my sweet little Gigi!

I'm sorry if my pictures look a bit blurry. I woke up with yet another sty on my eye. I have been getting them atleast 2-3 times a month in the last few years. I was recently diagnosed with Rosacea and I also have the Ocular Rosacea too! My face is starting to clear up with antibiotics but my eyes are not getting any better. Painful stys, blurry vision along with itching & redness is all a part of Ocular Rosacea.

This set belongs to Angie Juda who is a one of my favorite bloggers. When she hit her million dollars in career sales with Stampin Up she designed this set. I was taken with it as soon as I seen it! So many cute stamps & sayings that you can't go wrong! Congrats to Angie Juda on her milestone! What an awesome stamp set!!! Here is the story behind Bella & Friends.

Bella & Friends Card:

Stamps: Bella & Friends
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate and Pink Pirouette SU Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo DSP
Accessories: Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilities, Rhinestone, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

A VERY fun stamp set indeed!

My 2 little lovebugs, Bailee & Gigi!
They make my life complete!

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific weekend!

A Card Set & My Doggies

Hello & Happy Sunday!

What a beauty of day here in PA! Our weather could not be more perfect!
Hubby is out washing his car before it will be garage bound for a few weeks and I have the windows open airing the house out. Just love it, sunny & 70's...my kind of weather!

Before the day gets away from me I wanted to share a pack of cancer cards I made for an order last week. This is actually the 2nd pack of them I made in the last several months. I made them in different colors pertaining to the different types of cancers.

Last year at the Heirloom Stamp Show I picked up this embossing folder from Darice and i'm glad that it's finally getting used! On these cards I added a rhinestone in the color of the cancer. Just enough to give it some sparkle and we all love sparkle!

Cancer Card Set:

Stamps: Sweet Essentials (retired)
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Taken w Teal, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Bashful Blue
Accessories: Darice EF., Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Yesterday we took the doggies out for a walk. Here is a picture.

Gigi & Bailee were both out of breath after that 2 mile walk. We found a place close to home to walk them without having to worry about cars & traffic. It's the York Heritage Rail Trail. This runs from York County clear down to Maryland. It's a beautiful, peaceful walk and the girls loved it! Going to take them out again this evening. Today will be the last for a few weeks to get out & walk since tomorrow morning bright & early is Shawn's surgery. If you would, could you please say a quick prayer for him in hopes that all goes well tomorrow. I know he's nervous but ready to get it overwith and heal so he can get back out to walking & hiking. He's been doing so well and has lost 20 pds in the last 2 months. It's been a bit harder for me as I do love my soda & sweets but nonetheless I have been enjoying the walks with him and losing some pds too but not as quickly as him. Men have it so much easier don't they!

So, i'm not sure if i'll be updating tomorrow but I will be back on Tuesday for sure with an update on Shawn, so till then....

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Christmas Nugget Packs 2015

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I apologize for not getting a card made yesterday for the SCS Color Challenge. I spent the early part of the afternoon finishing up my Christmas cards & getting my Secret Santa gift ready to get mailed out today. Then I lounged with Gigi & Bailee till hubby got in from work. I'd really like to try today to do the challenge! Speaking of Gigi & Bailee, here is a picture of them that I promised after getting their baths & haircuts Saturday.

Gigi

Bailee

I picked up their scarves at a vendor stand at the John Wright Craft Show a few weeks ago. The scarves have a bit a sparkle in them and look so cute. The girls were so tired & sleepy when they got home from doggie day spa but atleast now they are ready for Santa!

So, before I head off and get my day started, I wanted to share the rest of the Nugget Packs I made this year. I don't know if i'd make these again. They did sell just not as well as I would have liked.

These are 7 Hershey Nuggets wrapped in a piece of DSP measuring 1 X 3 and adhered around the nugget. There is a piece of cardstock inside the cello bag and I used the Wilton Pretzel Bags from Michael's or Walmart. I tied a piece of ribbon or cord around the pack and added my tag to coordinate with my nuggets. I really enjoyed making them and loved each one I made! They make a great stocking stuffer, too!

Hershey's Nugget Packs:

Stamps: Tags 4 You, Oh What Fun!
Ink: Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Winter's Frost DSP, Wisteria Wonder, Frigid Fun Paper Pad by The Little Darlings Paper Company, Cherry Cobbler, Merry Moments Paper Pad
Accessories: Label Bracket Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Silver Cord, White Twine, Cherry Cobbler Thick Twine, Rhinestones

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Holidays!

Under the Weather....

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to pop in to say hello and let you know I am still dealing with this cold that my dear wonderful hubby shared with me last week. The coughing is the worst!

I took this week off from Merry Monday since I was not much in the crafting mode but I hope soon to get back at it. Already on my 3rd bottle of Mucenex Severe Cough & Congestion so I hope something soon gets better.

In the meantime I will share a picture I took of Bailee watching out the window on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning....

She is deep in thought watching the leaves fall...

I hope to be back soon!

Firecracker Poop

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I did not do much today! We woke up to rain this morning so I just crawled right back in bed waking up at almost noon time. Guess I needed the sleep. Kelsey was also here today visiting since she had the day off from work. So here I sit at 4 pm still in my pj's and hair thrown into a pony tail. Hubby will be in for a shock when he walks thru the door shortly! LOL

So today I am going to share another July 4th treat that I found on Pinterest a few weeks ago. I think they are quite cute!

These are called Firecracker Poops!

I've seen the Firecracker Poops done with M&M's in a small Cello Bag with the poem printed out and put on as a tag topper. I decided since I only have 1 bag of the Red, White & Blue M&M's that i'd make the M&M Sticks instead. I think people love the M&M sticks too! I made the Firecracker Poop into a tag for the colorful M&M's Sticks and added a star done with the Star Framelits done in the Red Glimmer Paper! Cute, cute, cute!

Firecracker Poop M&M Sticks:

Stamps: None
Ink: Printer Generated
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Neenah White, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Stars Framlits, Rhinestones, Pacific Point Stitched Ribbon, Tombow Liquid Multi Purpose Glue

Since today was a lounging day at the Aungst Pad, Bailee got a new doggie bed that Ryan had bought. It arrived in the mail today in a big box! Bailee sleeps in his room most nights after Shawn & I go to bed so he got a bed to keep in there for her. Here are 2 pictures of Bailee checking out her new bed once we got it out of the box! LOL She is something else! Always entertaining herself!

Well, that's all I have today!
Thunderstorms are on the horizon so i'm going to get off of here now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

My Little Bailee Boo Boo!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was alot of fun at the stamp party! We had so much fun making the 3 pretty cards that Nan designed for us. I enjoy sitting and catching up with each of the ladies. Deb K. shared her pictures from her recent trip to Florida to visit her son, Tim. We are all hoping to plan a trip down next year before summer to visit Tim. He is just like my 2nd son as I babysat him as a little boy. Anyways, I had a chance to order some new things from the new Stampin Up! catty. Love that new Fry Box Die and cannot wait to get it! Also ordered some cardstocks and a few other cute things too! Afterwards we went out to an early supper at a local restaurant with Kirsten & Brad for Father's Day. It turned out to be a great day!

So, today I do have things to share that I made for the July 4th holiday but instead I wanted to share a few sweet little pictures of my little lover dog, Bailee! She & Gigi have done so well together in the last few months and I just don't talk about them enough. Today is Bailee's day!

When we first adopted Bailee Boo Boo we did not think it would work out with Gigi but after some time the 2 have become the best of friends. Gigi really looks out for Bailee when the 2 Jack Russells are here but for the most part Bailee & Gigi get along very well with Shady & Rosco....as long as food is not brought into the picture!
Bailee follows me everywhere, everyday! If I go downstairs to craft, she's hot on my heels and lays on the chair and watches me. She is my little shadow and i'm so glad she is with us. Our days are full of laughs and entertainment with Gigi & Bailee in our lives. Life would be really boring without them!
We love our rescued doggies to the moon & back!

Well, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful Sunday!
