Retiring Stamp Day #21

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I think winter made it's return!
We had rain yesterday with snow mixed in and we were lucky to hit 40 degrees!
Much of the same for today, too!
Our reward will come at the end of the week with sunshine & 70!

I have card #21 to share today using a retiring Stampin Up set.
Positive Thoughts is the set i'm using and it's coordinating Nature's Thought's Dies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts
Ink: Soft Succulent
Cardstock: Soft Succulent, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper, Eden's Garden DSP
Accessories: Nature's Thoughts Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, Eden's Garden Gems, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the Eden's Garden DSP with the Soft Succulent color and pops of Gold Foil in it.
I kept this card in those same colors.
I find this color to be soothing which was perfect for this card.

Masculine HB Set

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your day is off to a great start!
I'm headed to my stamp table for day 2 of all things Christmas!
Unfortunately, I did not get as much done as I would have liked but I did get a bunch of treats done!

I have a set of masculine cards to share that was part of my card lady's recent order.
I used a mix of current & retired items.

Card Details:

Stamps: Big on Birthdays (retired)
Ink: Gray Granite
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Basic White, In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Dies, Nature's Thoughts Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The In Good Taste DSP is a perfect choice for making masculine cards with a variety of prints! It's great for the masculine cards that my card lady asks for because she doesn't want anything related to hunting or fishing. I always fall back on using a feather on those kind of cards and she is always pleased with them.
I love making masculine cards!

Happy 50th Birthday

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I have been so busy that it is making the week fly by!
I have spent the last few days working on card kits for my next Stamp Day w Friends get together. We don't have a date picked out yet but I wanted to get my kits ready awhile!

Today I have a Happy Birthday card that I made at the request of my card lady. She needs it for a special family friend that is turning 50 at the end of the this month.

I pulled out some Basic Grey Granola paper for this one as well as my retired Family Party stamp set. I had just ordered this set last April when the following month it went on the retired list! I'm still happy that I was able to get to because it will help specialize certain cards. Since this one is for a man I also pulled out the feather die from the Nature's Thoughts Dies that coordinates with the Positive Thoughts stamp set. I think everything worked well together!

Card Details:

Stamps: Family Party (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Night of Navy, Basic Grey Granola
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Nature's Thoughts Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have a ziplock bag that has only scraps of this Granola patterned paper in and that is what I pulled out to use on my card! I'm not sure if Basic Grey is still even around but I always loved their prints & patterns in each collection!

With Sympathy

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I'm back quick to share card # 2 from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together!
I pulled out several retired items for this one...

The sentiment on this one comes from the retired set, Brighter Tomorrow from many years ago. It's a wood mounted set with lots of wonderful sympathy sentiments in it. My floral leaves are from the Positive Thoughts stamp set that is current. My Calypso Coral diecut butterfly comes from the Nature's Thoughts Dies that are still available as well. The paper is from the Garden Lane DSP which is retired. I purchased it when it went on the Retirement List 2 years ago. Beautiful paper in different Stampin Up! shades of green.

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts, Brighter Tomorrow (retired)
Ink: Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam, Basic White, Garden Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Nature's Thought's Dies, Mint Macaron Ribbon (retired), Mint Macaron Faceted Gems (retired), Mini Stampin Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My picture really does not do this card justice.
It has been cloudy & dreary here and it shows!
This card was one of my favorites because I love the mix of greens and the pop of color from the Calypso Coral on the butterfly!
Hope you liked it, too!

My plan today is to finish up my Halloween treats since there is no contractors here today! My supper is in the crock pot and I will be a stampin fool! Haha!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Terrific Tulips

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

This morning my girls are off to Doggy Day Spa!
They really need it as they've not been there since the beginning of February.
They will look amazing once they are done!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for the last card order for my card lady. This uses the old retired set called Terrific Tulips!
Do you remember that set???
It is definitely an oldie but a goodie!

My tulips are stamped with Melon Mambo ink and this is a 2 step stamping set. The first layer of ink I stamped off on my scrap paper for a lighter look. Then I stamped the more detailed parts with full ink. The leaves are done the same way except with Old Olive ink.
My little butterfly is a diecut from the Nature's Thoughts Dies.
Lastly, I added some rhinestones because my card lady loves the added sparkle!

Card Details:

Stamps: Terrific Tulips (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Old Olive
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Melon Mambo DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Nature's Thoughts Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

As you can see I used 2 different Melon Mambo DSP's.
I could not make up my mind on which side to use so I used the polka dots on some and the denim washed look on the other 3.
I really love them both!
Which do you like?

Daffodil Cards

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Happy March 1st!!!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
It was a quiet one here with rain most of the time.
The snow is melting slowly and we are seeing more & more green grass popping thru everyday!
Spring is coming!

This past weekend I worked on my Easter Treats that my card lady and her friend ordered.
We also finished watching a series on Netflicks called The Witcher.
This series is definitely not for kids as the language, nudity & gore were thru the roof!
It reminded me of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy if you've ever seen them but add in all 3 things I said above.
There is suppose to be a 2nd season of it but so far nothing has come out.

Today I have 1 last pack of cards to share that I made for my card lady's last order.
She wanted a set of Daffodil cards with no sentiment on.
You would think since she requests these kind of cards quite often that they would come easy to me but I still struggle with them. This is what I made for her...

The daffodil images are from the retired You're Inspiring stamp set.
I love this set and will never part with it!
I stamped my images on the Whisper White cardstock using my Stamparatus.
The Whisper White cardstock was already diecut using the Nature's Thought's Dies.
I stamped it with Memento Black and colored with my Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends.
My cardbase is Daffodil Delight with a Whisper White Layer then a 2 x 5 inch piece of retired Gingham Gala DSP. I still have half a package of that DSP left that I am trying to use up.
Then I added my daffodil image to the card with Dimensionals and a few rhinestones to finish them up!

Card Details:

Stamps: You're Inspiring (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP (retired)
Accessories: Nature's Thoughts Dies, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My card lady loved them as she always tells me when she looks thru them!
I have been making cards for her for about 8 years now and she has only ever said once that there was something she did not care for.
In that amount of time I have learned what she likes and most times she requests some sort of flowers!
Thankfully I have many flower stamp sets!

Rise & Shine Coffee Card

Hello & Happy Thursday!

We are one day closer to the long holiday weekend! YAY!
They are calling for it to be a very nice weekend so I am looking forward to that!
I hope it will be cool enough to leave the AC off!!!

Today I am sharing a card I made a few weeks ago using the SaleABration set, Rise & Shine.
I cased this card from Marisa at Kitchen Table Stamper.
She is just awesome as I love all her amazing creations!

First off, I love the amazing colors in the patterned paper!
The paper is from the 2020 SaleABration Coordinates called Pleased As Punch.
I have maybe half a package left that I want to use up eventually.
The paper coordinates with a variety of stamp sets & punches which will make using it up easier!

Card Details:

Stamps: Rise & Shine (SAB 20)
Ink: Coastal Cabana, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Pleased As Punch DSP (SAB Coordinates)
Accessories: Nature's Thoughts Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Cup of Cheer Dies (retired), Small Heart Punch (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sadly, most of these products are no longer available but they are going to stay in my stamp room for a long time to come!
I enjoy making coffee cards but I don't have many friends that are coffee drinkers.
Thankfully, this set could be used for hot cocoa or tea!

All Things Fabulous

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Another hot & humid day here.
Calling for storms this afternoon & evening and i'm hoping they do not get as bad as the ones we had last week. It took our power out for several hours. Will have to try to keep the phones charged today just in case!

Yesterday I made my way to my stamp table for a pleasant afternoon of creating!
I pulled out a new stamp set that is in the 2020 Stampin Up! Annual Catalog called All Things Fabulous. It also has coordinating dies.
However, on Monday my Big Shot died.
It's been getting really wonky over the last couple of months and not cutting or embossing correctly and definitely making an odd noise. Stampin Up! has not released their new diecut/embossing machine yet so in the meantime I had to pull out my old green Cuttlebug. Does anyone still use theirs?
It will help with somethings but I won't be able to use the 6x6 embossing folders or the bigger dies.

I also pulled out some new inks!
The colors I used are Magenta Madness & Bumble Bee which are the 2020-2022 New In Colors.
Aren't they pretty?

In the last picture do you see the pretty diecut on the lefthand side?
That is from the Fabulous Florals Dies.
I cut it in half and placed it under my flower panel.
The ribbon is Bumble Bee Gingham which is the only ribbon I have right now from the In Colors.
The other In Color ribbons are on backorder until Stampin Up! gets more shipped in.

Card Details:

Stamps: All Things Fabulous, Many Mates
Ink: Magenta Madness, Bumble Bee, Garden Green
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Magenta Madness, Bumble Bee, Whisper White, Flowers For Every Season DSP
Accessories: Nature's Thoughts Dies, Fabulous Florals Dies, Oval Layering Framelits, Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals. Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you liked today's card!
It sure is pretty and the new In Colors are still working on me. I don't have a favorite just yet.

With Deepest Sympathy

Hello & Happy Friday!

Hope your week has gone well and your staying busy during the stay at home orders.
It was a busy week here and i'm looking forward to having a few days to catch my breath and do some stamping!

The card I have to share today was made with the Positive Thoughts stamp set.
It has become a quick favorite!

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts, Peaceful Moments
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose, Memento Black
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Rococo Rose DSP
Accessories: Nature's Thoughts Dies (SaleABration Coordinates), Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made this one for my stash that I keep separately from my card rack cards.
This one literally took 10 minutes to create.
Wish they could all come together that easily!

Positive Thoughts

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Not much happening here today.
The weather is still gray & gloomy outside.
They say we might get some sunshine today but we'll see.

I have a set of cards to share today using the Positive Thoughts stamp set that is in the January-June Mini Catalog. It caught my eye from the first time I seen it but once they brought out coordinating dies for it....it was a done deal!

The color of my cardbase is Seaside Spray which is an In Color for 2019-2021.
I used this color back at Christmastime to make a snowman card for a Stamp Day w Friends.
It turned out so cute and the girls all loved it!
At first I thought about using Rococo Rose which is also a new In Color but in the end Seaside Spray won out! I love the softness it adds to my card...

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray
Cardstock: Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Brick & Mortar EF, Stitched Nested Dies, Nature's Thoughts Dies (SAB Coordination 2020), Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made these up for my card lady and she will get these in her next order.
I'm know she will love these!

Most definitely!
