Long Time No See Fun Fold

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

The weekend is here and I think we are in for a nice day for a change!
The last few days have been dreary & showery due to a cold front and bands of rain from Hurricane Erin. Thankfully she is now headed off to the north and still out over the ocean. Even though she did not make landfall along the east coast she sure caused some flooding issues. We mostly got some rain showers & wind from it.
Today the sun is to shine and warm things up nicely! YAY!!

Today I have a cool Christmas fun fold card to share with you! I can't remember the name of this card (maybe Pop Out Gatefold Card?) but I just love making them! I used a stamp set from the Online Exclusives list that came out a few months ago called Long Time No See. It has the cutest dog & llama image in it! I just had to get it!

Card Details:

Stamps: Long Time No See (Online Exclusives), Words for the Season (2025 Holiday Mini Catalog)
Ink: Memento Black, Old Olive, Stampin Blends-Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Medium Light Blends
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Need for Tweed DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Gold Striped Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Traditional Sparkling Sequins, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I chose the llama stamp for this one since my friend use to raise llama's on her farm. I use to do the Holiday Craft Shows with her and in 2016 she retired from doing it. She put on some of the best craft shows in her barn each year and I have lots of fond memories of the llama's!

Christmas Greenery & Words for the Season

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

The weekend is here and it's looking like a beauty atleast here in south central PA!
Tomorrow, hubby is headed to the Juanita River fishing with friends so I am planning a day of stamping with all my new goodies! This past Tuesday was preorder day for Stampin Up! demonstrators for the 2025 Holiday Mini Catalog. I was up at the crack of darkness and placed my order. I have been saving my money & my rewards points for a few months so I was all prepared to go big or go home! LOL I got overnight shipping and my order arrived on Wednesday morning. So exciting but I really could not do much until my Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine arrived on Thursday since my old one broke. Yesterday, I quickly made a card. Oh my Lordy, is it ever beautiful! The prints & colors are lovely and one you will want! So here is the card I made...

Card Details:

Stamps: Words for the Season
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP
Accessories: Christmas Greenery Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Traditions Sparkling Sequins, Real Red Shiny Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

My floral image was diecut directly from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP. This paper is loaded with Gold Foil throughout and is it ever gorgeous! I also love the fact that we can diecut images directly from the paper. I am currently working on covering a notebook with some of this paper which I will share with you once I get it finished.
The Real Red Shiny Ribbon is one I would normally turn away from because of the width. I decided to give it a try and it's so nice to tie a bow with and it is not at all bulky! Oh, and the shimmer in this ribbon is beautiful! So far I am pleased with my purchase and hope to have more to share with you as it gets closer to the holidays!

Christmas Rose

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

Today I am sharing a pretty Christmas card made using a long retired stamp set from 2019 called Christmas Rose. This past weekend I was in my craft room going thru some of my Christmas papers and I found this pack of pretty paper. I laid it on my table and spent the afternoon making 8 cards with it! I still have 3 whole sheets left that I will use up another time but for now I was having so much fun just creating with it along with the Christmas Rose stamp sets (this stamp set had 2 cases with beautiful images & sayings)! I will share the rest of the cards in the coming weeks.

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Rose (retired)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Basic White, Christmastime is Here Specialty Paper (retired)
Accessories: Roses Dies (retired), Gold Shimmer Ribbon (retired), Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

That beautiful floral image was diecut directly from the the Christmastime is Here Specialty Paper and adhered to my card flat. The sentiment panel is popped up with Dimensionals,
I made 6 Christmas cards and 2 Christmas Gift Card/Money Holders for the upcoming holidays! My bins are pretty full and I couldn't be happier to get ahead this year!

Christmas in July

 Hello & Happy Monday, Friends!

I'm trying to get some cards together using Christmas products for Christmas in July! We all have retired stash so that is what I have been focusing on using. Today I am sharing a fun fold that I paired with the Boughs of Holly DSP & Merriest Moments bundle. Everything is long retired but too pretty to not use!

Card Details:

Stamps: Merriest Moments (retired), Leaves of Holly (retired), Double D Rubber Stamps (sentiment on back)
Ink: Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Boughs of Holly DSP (retired)
Accessories: Holly Berry Dies (retired) Merriest Frames Hybrid EF & Dies (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Gold Ribbon, Gold Circle Clip (from stash), Gold Flower Accents, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I am totally loving this card! The design and the mix of stamps used on it just grab my fancy! LOL
Another one made for on the "for sale" pile this year!
My stash is getting there and with each card my stash of papers is getting used up! YAY!

Jar of Joy Snowman

Happy Sunday, Friends!

Hope your having a nice weekend!
Yesterday seemed like a blur to me. I honestly did not do a thing yesterday other than a quick walk in the afternoon. Ryan spent most of the day sleeping as he had a migraine. I had the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies on most of the day and found myself dozing off a couple of times. Went to bed quite early last evening (around 8-8:30) and as soon as I started to drift off someone in the neighborhood started shooting off some really loud fireworks. Grr! Sure would be nice if they made fireworks that did not make any loud booms!

So, since I have Christmas in July on my mind I am sharing a fun card made with the newly released Jar of Joy set from the Stampin Up Online Exclusives list. Such a fun little set that coordinates with the Sweet Jar bundle that was released a few months back on the Online Exclusives.

Card Details:

Stamps: Jar of Joy (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Pool Party, Versamark, Stampin Blends-Pool Party
Cardstock: Real Red, Pool Party, Basic White, Sweetest Christmas DSP (retired)
Accessories: Sweet Jar Builder Punch, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Snowflake Sky 3D EF, Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, Adhesive Backed Peppermints, Pool Party Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

This was so fun! I am anxious to see what our 2025 Holiday Mini Catalog is going to offer this year. I'm hoping for a pretty poinsettia set!

Party Celebrations

Good Morning & Happy Saturday, Friends!

I hope you had a nice July 4th holiday!
Our weather was so nice, we got in a walk around the neighborhood then after supper we went on a bike ride at the rail trail. That was the first time we had the bikes out since May of 2024. Surprising neither of us have sore legs today! LOL

This morning was suppose to be my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together but I ended up cancelling it last evening after noticing my kitchen counters have been invaded with ants! I usually go thru this every spring and had ant traps out to solve the problem which the last 3 weeks there have been none. Yesterday we noticed ants like we have never noticed before, in droves! We put out more ant traps and took everything off the counter tops. My kitchen is a wreck at the moment and I have been having my stamp get togethers at the kitchen table the last few times we got together. From what we are hearing many people are having ant issues this year as well but that being said I was not comfortable serving food to the girls with ants being everywhere so I cancelled. I hated to do it because I was so looking forward to seeing them but hopefully soon we can reschedule it. I really think our crazy hot, humid & rainy weather is causing it. It's just a frustrating issue that hopefully will solve itself soon!

Anyways, today I wanted to share a card I made using a new stamp set from the Online Exclusives called Party Celebrations. I wished this set came with matching dies but it does not. This is what the stamp set looks like...

This is my card...

Card Details:

Stamps: Party Celebrations (Online Exclusives), Humble Home (sentiment)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper, Need For Tweed DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Gold Ribbon (Online Exclusives), Low Profile Gold Dots (Online Exclusives), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I mostly got this stamp set to use the bat & jack o'lantern for Halloween cards and the first thing I reached for was the bell in the set! LOL It turned out ok, I'm not too crazy about it. I was going for the 3 panels across the front but I could not fit another bell panel on it without it looking too busy. I do really like the Need for Tweed DSP though! I think it would be great for masculine cards!

Well, now that my day has freed up I may just spend the day stamping!
It's to get hot & humid again today so not much else to do.
I'm so bummed...

Make it Merry!

 Hello & Happy Christmas Eve!

Do you have any plans tonight?
We are headed over to Kelsey's to enjoy this Christmas Eve with her & Shady! I am so looking forward to it! I only had to make the deviled eggs....she is doing the rest!

I have a quick card to show you that I made with that cute Reindeer Fun bundle! I loved the variety of things that could be done with the stamp set & dies!

One deer was diecut from the DSP and the other was fussy cut which wasn't too bad!
The dancing reindeer just make me smile! So cute!

Card Details:

Stamps: Wishes All Around (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Reindeer Days DSP
Accessories: Reindeer Fun Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Wildflower Designs Dies, Snowflake Sky 3D EF, Red & White Twine, Adhesive Backed Peppermints, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Reindeer Fun

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today was a busy day but the wrapping is done and gifts are under the tree!
Last night we watched our Ravens win against the Steelers which was quite the surprise but I will say they played a great game!

Today I have a quick card to share that was made with the Reindeer Fun stamp set!

Card Details:

Stamps: Reindeer Fun
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Reindeer Days DSP
Accessories: Reindeer Fun Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Red & White Twine, Adhesive Backed Peppermints, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love that Stampin Up! gives us dies that cut the reindeer from the DSP!
I have used that so much this season.

Ok, back to watching the Buffalo Bills & the New England Patriots game now.
I'll see y'all tomorrow!

Simple Christmas Cards

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

I hope your week is going well!
We are now less than a week away from Christmas and all I have left to do is some wrapping. I hope to get that done over the weekend after I pop out and grab some tape. It's suppose to get really cold again later today and my plan is to hibernate once the weekend gets here.
Today I have a set of Christmas cards to share with you that were simple to create and as usual I left the paper do all the work!

Card Details:

Stamps: PSX
Ink: Poppy Parade
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Basic White, Patterned Paper from Michael's
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Isn't that paper so pretty? I grabbed 2 sheets of it back in the Fall one day we were out shopping. My plan was to make a pack of cards with one sheet and cover a notebook with the other. Never got around to making the notebook. Maybe next year! At this point my hands are shot and I am giving myself a few days to let them heal. Then I need to get a hop on getting my 2025 calendars made. That might be a weekend job too while I am hibernating!

Sophisticated Sled Wreath Cards

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

A quick post this morning then, I have a few chores I need to finish up this morning.
I have a set of cards to share today that I made for Audrey as part of her Christmas card order. This one uses a set from the Online Exclusives list called Sophisticated Sled. It has coordinating dies and let me say that this set makes some beautiful cards! Audrey usually likes the wreaths or poinsettia's so I grabbed this set back in July and whipped this set up. I put these cards aside for her for when it was Christmas time and she loved them!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sophisticated Sled (Online Exclusives), Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Old Olive, Stampin Blends-Old Olive, Real Red
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Season of Green & Gold DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Sophisticated Sled Dies (Online Exclusives), Greeting of the Season Dies (Online Exclusives), Gold Trim, Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She was so taken with the little cardinal on the wreath! I'm surprised she has not asked for another pack of these! Speaking of Audrey, I will be seeing her this evening to pick up the Christmas candy treat basket and deliver her some birthday cards that she forgot to order on her last order. I hope my candy basket comes back empty!

Sentimental Christmas

 Good Morning & Happy Monday!

It's the start of a new week and that means I need to do some cleaning today. I also need to get my Christmas cards addressed and get in the mail. I wanted to do that yesterday but instead I relaxed and watched tv most of the day. We did a walk around the neighborhood last evening right after it started snowing. Surprisingly, it wasn't too cold out and the snow changed over to rain.
Today I have a set of Christmas cards to share with you that I made for Audrey using the Sentimental Christmas DSP. That suite of products reminded me of an old fashioned Christmas which sometimes is hard to find anymore. I loved the trees in this paper as well as the ribbon candy and the stockings. I kept these cards simple as Audrey does not like all the bells & whistles added to them. She really liked this set though and was pleased that they would mail flat.

Card Details:

Stamps: Brightest Glow (retired)
Ink: Shaded Spruce
Cardstock: Basic Beige, Shaded Spruce, Sentimental Christmas DSP, Season of Elegance Specialty DSP
Accessories: Labels Aglow Dies (retired), Holiday Rhinestones (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hear my cup of coffee calling my name so I'm going to go enjoy that and get my day started. With a gloomy rainy day ahead I may need a second cup!

A Beautiful Season

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's football day so that is where we are....watching the game in the family room with the Christmas lights on & a fire in the fireplace. I love this time of year!
I wanted to update my blog early this morning as I usually do but I slept in after staying up late to watch the new Hallmark movie last night. Then once I was up Shawn wanted to run out to a store, so here I am now. LOL Better late than never, right?

This beautiful card was made with a very old Stampin Up! set called A Beautiful Season from 2003. I recently borrowed it from my friend, Deb, to make this card for Audrey. Every holiday season she requests a cardinal card for a good friend of hers that loves cardinals. I think I have used every Stampin Up! set that has a cardinal in so I went looking for something different and Deb was happy to help a girl out!

Card Details:

Stamps: A Beautiful Season (retired), Stars At Night (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Reindeer Days DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Gold Trim, Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope to play with this set a bit more before I give it back to Deb. Something about the older sets just make the cards more special.

That's all for today!
