Back from Missouri

Hello friends!!
Last week we made the trip to Joplin, Missouri once again to look for a place to live. This time we took Kelsey along so she could get the feel of Missouri. I have to say that I enjoyed myself so much more this time than I did when we were there in January! It was very hot & humid there but nothing we haven't had here in PA. We had very early flights out & back. Here are a few pictures of our flight...
Shawn waiting for take off from Detroit, Michigan....
Kelsey & I....
While we were out there I made plans ahead of time to meet up with 2 awesome stampers, Lois Henderson & Vicki Burdick. We met one day for a late lunch at the Olive Garden and stayed 3 hours just having a great time!! Those ladies are the nicest & most funniest i've ever met!

The 2 pictures below are a sweet little gift the girls gave me. Ohh the handstamped tag was so cute!! Inside the basket was some very good cookies & a jar of homemade peach butter and the cutest little gingerbread man that i've added to my collection of gingerbread men!! I got the basket home in one piece and hated to open it because it was so pretty! Everything inside was so yummy!! The peach butter is just about all that's how good it was! Ladies, thank you so much, I love this!!! :)

After a few days of having a realtor dragging us all over the place we still have not made any decisions on a house in MO. I now have my eye on one that I seen the last nite we were there but was unable to do a showing on it. I have a feeling we'll be making another quick trip out there soon to view a few more places because Shawn only has 3 more weeks until he is suppose to start out there. We went to his job & met his boss and also got to see what they make out there. It was very interesting!
Well, i'm hoping to soon fiind my way back to my stamp table. I hear it calling my name! LOL Maybe tomorrow!!
For now I need to run to the store to grab a few things before the rain starts!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Gingerbread Tablets

Hello! Happy Monday, friends!

Hope your all having a good day so far! I had a very productive day yesterday in my stamp room. I promised Christmas goodies and that's what i'm sharing with you today! I was out last week and picked up a pack of tablets and had them cut in half so I could make these little tablets that I just love!!! They make great little gifts too!

Since i'm a gingerbread freak I went looking for my SU Gingerbread House set that is an oldie but a goodie in my eyes! Then I used the sentiment from the Sweet Season set to go with my gingerbread. I punched right under my sentiment with a Martha Stewart Gingerbread punch. I did not add a whole lot of embellishments to this because the paper is very busy.
Hope ya like....

Tablet Details:

Stamps: Gingerbread House, Sweet Season
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Bravo Burgundy, PTI Select White, DSP from American Crafts
Accessories: Martha Stewart Gingerbread Punch, Silver Brads, Baja Breeze Ribbon, Bravo Burgundy Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!
I'm off to grab some groceries, pick up Kelsey's graduation pictures and finish up some laundry. Thanks for stopping by & have a marvelous Monday!!

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday, friends!
Hope your all doing well. I apologize for such a long absence in between updates. Things have been busy beyond belief the last few weeks. I have been cleaning, painting, throwing things away, preparing for a yard sale and getting our house ready to go on the market for sale. This past Wednesday the For Sale sign went in the front yard & the lock box on the door. I'm not gonna say that i'm happy about it but i'm trying (and it's very hard) to be supportive of hubby wanting this change. So far, no bites on the house. We have decided that Kelsey & I will stay behind until she graduates in June then join him in Missouri at that point. I'm not one for handling change very well and at this point there are so many unknowns that scare me. One day at a time....
So, yesterday I tried getting my butt back into my stamp room. So many changes went on in my stamp room as well, it took me forever just to spit out 1 card. LOL My neighbor requested a lighthouse retirement card so this is what I got accomplished.....

After a few hours I was able to accomplish what I set out to do. I'm happy with it and hope she will be too!
Card Details:
Stamps: Lighthouse & inside saying from Hero Arts, Sentiment on front from SU
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Buckaroo Blue, Kraft, PTI Select White
Accessories: Labels 4 Nesties, Lg Oval & Scalloped Oval Punches, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Mat Pack & Paper Piercer, Buckaroo Grosgrain, 2 Sided Tape, Dimensionals
Today it's looking to be a wash out! Rain is forecasted for today & tomorrow so i'm gonna take full advantage of being inside and try my hand at some Christmas goodies. If I get something accomplished...i'll be sure to get it posted!! :)
Thanks for stopping by & have a super Sunday!! ~Wendy
