Masculine Herringbone Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have a card to share that I made for an upcoming masculine birthday.
I used the herringbone technique for this.

I used 1/2 inch strips of paper from the True Gentleman DSP pack.
I really like the colors and prints of it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Guy Greetings
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, True Gentleman DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Bow Builder Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm not sure on the bow but wanted to give it a try!

Happy June 1st!!!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday we had some fabulous weather once the clouds & fog broke!
It hit 80 degrees here and the sunshine was awesome!
My hubby got home from work on time for a change and mowed then we sat out on the front porch with the girls and just enjoyed the nice weather!
Hopefully today will be another picture perfect day!

Since today is June 1st, I am going to try to focus on the upcoming Father's Day occasion.
Today I am sharing a card made with a now retired stamp set called Nailed It.
I have had this bundle in my collection for awhile now and yesterday I finally broke it out and got it inked up! I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it stamps!

Here is my 1st Father's Day card for 2017.

I used the herringbone technique to create this card. My friend, Carol, makes the nicest herringbone technique cards and i'm always envious of them! I gave this technique another shot today with making my strips of dsp at 1/2" each. I am loving this now retired dsp called Urban District Specialty Paper! I like the colors in it plus the prints are more focused on masculine. My silver foil paper at the bottom of the card is diecut with the measuring strip in the Build It Framelits! It adds so much to the card. I also took the wrench, hammer, screwdriver and other little pieces of hardware and randomly stamped them with Delightful Dijon on the cardbase. So pleased with it!

Happy Father's Day card:

Stamps: Nailed It
Ink: Delightful Dijon
Cardstock: Delightful Dijon, Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Urban District Specialty Paper, Silver Foil
Accessories: Build It Framelits, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Mono Adhesive

A really fun card don't ya think??

A very busy day ahead and hopefully I will have more details on that later!

Fun Happy Birthday Card

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Boy, what a gorgeous weekend!
We hit 69 degrees yesterday and I spent the whole day inside crafting!
Not what I wanted to do but since hubby worked all day...a walk just wasn't in the plans.
I was able to make a nice supper for us and get a few cards made. I also spent some time going over my card rack to see what type of cards were needed. Masculine, Get Well & Baby cards are on the list.

The card I have to share today is one I have been meaning to make for awhile. My friend, Carol, makes such fabulous herringbone technique cards and since my afternoon was wide open.....I tried my hand at it!
The day wasn't a total waste afterall.

So, I had this vision of using the Party Animal DSP for my herringbone because it's quite colorful and I wanted to use this set called Balloon Adventures. There are some really great sayings in the set (just sayin')! I cut my strips at a 1/2 inch and went from there. Not sure if I did it correctly but i'm happy with how it turned out.

Happy Birthday Card:

Stamps: Balloon Adventure
Ink: Pacific Point
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Party Animal DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Tangerine Tango Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
