Apron of Love for Father's Day

Hello & Happy Saturday!

It's looking a little dreary here this morning.
We had some heavy rain & thunderstorms overnight.
Hopefully later the sun will come out!
Gigi & Bailee are off to doggy day spa this morning, which they desperately need!

Before my day gets away from me I want to share a really cool card I made for Shawn for Father's Day. Ryan has been after me for the last couple of weeks to make him a Father's Day card and I finally got one made that I think Shawn will really like!

Around our house Shawn does all the grilling and to be honest, I don't think I would even know how to start a grill! He's always done it and has added a smoker to his list of things to use outside. I'm not a big fan of stuff that has a smoked taste but he makes a really good rack of ribs in it!
So when I saw the Apron of Love set I knew this set would be perfect for making him a great man card because of his love of grilling! I don't know about you but he grills all year long....even when it snows! There's nothing like a good burger on the grill in the middle of winter!
Shawn does not have a handy dandy apron like this when he grills but he does have a bunch of grilling utensils that I got him years ago from Pampered Chef that have withstood the test of time and are used each & every time he grills. He enjoys grilling and smoking so I think this is something he will really like!

Card Details:

Stamps: Apron of Love
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories: Apron Builder Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Burlap Ribbon, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

This Wood Textures DSP has carried over from the last catty to the new one which i'm very happy about! It makes for a great masculine card no matter the occasion...even a Father's Day card!

Apron of Love

Hello & Happy Monday!

Up and at it early this morning because it is a my cleaning day.
Not a fun day by all means but someone's gotta do it!

You know the saying....
"Everyday may not be good but there is something good in everyday!"

And today the sun is shining and that my friends is a wonderful thing!

Oh and I also have a pretty sunshine-y card to share with you!

I have a funny story to tell you about this set.
I purchased this bundle back in January when it became available as I was thinking it would make a great set for Father's Day with the apron and grilling utensils in it. Once my orders arrive I usually unpack them....mount the stickers on the stamps and put them away by seasons, sentiments, birthdays, flowers, masculine etc...

So once April came I went searching for this set to play with and get some idea's for making Father's day cards....I could not find the set...NO WHERE! I searched my craft room for days, looked under cabinets, searched thru boxes even tore apart my storage room. NODDA! I eventually ended up ordering another stamp set since I already had the matching framelits.  It would be a waste to have the framelits without the stamp set, right? To this day I still have not found my original stamp set. I think it may have fallen in the trash can beside my stamp table and got thrown out.
I was sick about it but what can you do.

So, it's a new day and a new stamp set that I finally was able to ink up last week and what a cute card to boot!

Card Details:

Stamps: Apron of Love
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black Archival, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock:  Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Silver Foil Paper, Tutti Fruitti DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Apron Builder Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So, it may not be a funny story afterall but I have never lost a stamp set in all my years of crafting! I'm not sure we will ever know what happened to it.
I would say that having to buy a 2nd set sure was worth every cent because I really like this bright & summer-y card! Hope you do too!

Wouldn't that be a dream come true! Haha!
Hope that gives you something to giggle about!

I'm off to get my day started.
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
