Retirement Card

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!

Today I have a quick post to share a card that was made as part as Audrey's next card order.
She asked for a retirement card for a lady with a chair and some flowers next to it. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do for this but I started going thru some sets and found what I needed. Take a look...

Card Details:

Stamps: Welcoming Window (retired), Itty Bitty Greetings (retired)
Ink: Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Basic White, Wood Textures DSP (retired)
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Thinlits (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Window Dies (retired), Fun Patterns EF (Online Exclusives), Glossy Dots, Daffodil Delight Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today is injection day for me!
I load up with lots of protein before & after because it helps greatly with side effects. I am starting my second box of 5mg Mounjaro. My blood sugars have been really good and I have lost 36.2 pounds in 12 weeks. As much as I worried about moving up in dose 4 weeks ago, I did really well with it and not much in the way of side effects other than some fatigue. I'm hoping it stays that way throughout my course on this medication!
So there is my 12 week update. I will update you again in 4 weeks!

Springtime Joy Card Set

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday we had another beautiful day!
Our temps hit mid 60's which has been nice to open windows and air out the house!
I still have 1 snow pile left in my front yard and I hope that those mid 70 temps melt it today!

Today I have a set of Easter cards to share that I whipped up for my card rack.
I used that cute Springtime Joy stamp set again and i'm trying to use up some of the DSP paper packs I have on hand because those prints & patterns will be changing with our new catalog that is coming in May.

I started with a Flirty Flamingo cardbase then a layer of Whisper White that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Ornate Floral 3D EF. I don't use this embossing folder as much as I would the Tasteful Textile 3D EF so today I made myself use it.
Next I took my Brights & 2020-2022 In Color DSP Paper Packs and picked out some springy colors.
I chose Flirty Flamingo, Bumble Bee and Just Jade.
I cut these strips 4 x 1 1/4 and adhered them to my embossed Whisper White cardstock panel in a staggered layout and over lapping one another. I just love this design as it brings lots of interest to the card!
Next I added my colored bunny images from the Springtime Joy stamp set that I diecut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Circle Layering Framelits. I stamped my sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink and used the Classic Label Punch to punch it out. I added them with Mini Dimensionals.
And lastly I added 3 small Champagne Rhinestones for some sparkle to finish up my set of cards.

Card Details:

Stamps: Springtime Joy, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Memento Black, Flirty Flamingo, Stampin Blends- (Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight & Just Jade)
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Just Jade, DSP- Just Jade, Bumble Bee & Flirty Flamingo
Accessories: Ornate Floral 3D EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Bumble Bee Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Champagne Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Aren't they just the sweetest?!
I have come to really like this Springtime Joy stamp set and have used it quite a bit on cards and my Easter Treats which I will share soon!
My card lady called yesterday and gave me a huge order so that is on my agenda the next couple of days!  Today though, I am not feeling all the best. I did not sleep good last night and I ache from head to toe so I am going to take it easy today and soak up the sunshine & warmth!

A New Challenge

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Today I am sharing something new!
My dear sweet friend, Vicki & I decided we were going to start doing our challenges again!
She challenged me to make anything 3D!
WooHoo! I love making that kind of stuff!!

We will share our idea's every other Saturday so make sure you stop back to check out what we share!

Game on, Vicki!
Here is my 1st Challenge Project...

My treat box is made from the Little Treat Box Dies from the Stampin Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.
It was diecut with Bumble Bee cardstock then once it was glued together I wrapped a piece of Bumble Bee DSP around it. A 1 1/2 X 6 piece fit nicely!
I then stamped out my sunflower images from the Celebrating Sunflowers stamp set that is in the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog. I colored with my Stampin Blends then diecut it using the Sunflower Dies.
I stamped a quick sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings set also from the Annual Catalog and took my scissors and cut my saying out on an angle for interest.
Lastly, I filled my treat box with a Ghiradelli Milk Chocolate & Caramel Square Chocolate.
I added a glue dot to the inside of my box at the top to keep it closed. Then added my Bumble Bee Gingham Bow with another glue dot.

If your looking for a quick treat idea, these boxes are the perfect solution!
Easy to diecut and decorate!
And you can get 2 boxes out of an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock!
I was optimistic at first but now I can say these little boxes are super quick & easy and bound to make anyone smile with a little treat inside!

Sunflower Treat Boxes:

Stamps: Celebrating Sunflower, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Bumble Bee, Whisper White, Bumble Bee DSP
Accessories: Little Treat Box Dies, Sunflower Dies, Champagne Rhinestones, Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you like my Sunflower Treat Boxes!

Be sure stop over to Vicki's blog and check out her 3D project!
I know it will be amazing!!!

In Good Taste Suite

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Woke up this morning to a nice cool morning for a change! There is almost a Fall feel to it. I noticed one day last week that the Fall grass is starting in the backyard! Maybe that will mean an early Fall after the long hot summer. I have my fingers crossed!

Today would have been my Dad's 85th birthday. He passed away 3 months ago yesterday. He is on my mind daily. Sometimes it makes me smile and sometimes it makes me cry and even though I miss him, I know he's in a better place.

Happy Birthday, Dad!

I have another card to share from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.

As i've said before, the girls love their masculine cards!
This one uses a new suite from the Annual Catalog called In Good Taste.
It is on pages 122-124.
The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper or DSP is loaded full of awesome prints & patterns!
It's a big package of paper, 12 X 12 sized with 24 sheets.
If you make lots of masculine cards, this paper is for you!

Stamps: Tasteful Touches, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I used this suite to create their gift bags to take their cards home in.
I will share them later this week!
Hope you like this one!
So easy to put together!

It's a rainy, dreary day here.
We are getting a nice misty rain after a few days of warm sunshine.
Hopefully it helps the grass and garden!

On a dreary day like today I just have no umph to even go shower.
I am ready for Debbie's card class this afternoon.
Tomorrow I will share what we make. I have no idea what all the cut pieces will be.

I have another set of cards to share that were accidentally deleted last week.
You may remember seeing these made with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.

Card Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Whisper White, Magnolia Lane DSP
Accessories: Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Petal Pink/Champagne Ribbon, Champagne Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your all doing well.

I am chugging along but really haven't gotten the urge to go stamp.
I tried yesterday but nothing came out of it.
Today I spent some time there cutting cardstock for one of Debbie's card classes she is having tomorrow. Then I also got folders ready for the new In Colors that will be coming with the new Stampin Up Annual Catalog that goes live June 3rd!
I'm trying...

I looked at my blog today and realized I deleted a few posts accidentally.
I am going to repost them with just pictures and the items used until I can get back to stamping again.

Card Holder Details:

Stamps: Ornate Style, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Memento Black, Terracotta Tile, Old Olive
Cardstock: Terracotta Tile, Whisper White, Ornate Garden Specialty DSP
Accessories: Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Old Olive Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Card Details:

Stamps: Ornate Style, Peaceful Moments
Ink: Old Olive, Terracotta Tile, Versamark
Cardstock: Terracotta Tile, Old Olive, Whisper White, Ornate Garden Specialty DSP

My card lady just loves these Card Holders!
She's been ordering them and last week ordered 2 more.

Pretty brilliant idea if you ask me!

Saying Goodbye to Flourishing Phrases

Hello & Happy Monday!

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day!
Last I heard they were calling for rain but that never happened!!
The sun & warm temps were much needed and appreciated!
I made my way down to my stamp table after supper to work on a pack of sympathy cards for my card rack. I pulled out the soon to be retiring Flourishing Phrases bundle and got busy!

My intentions were to fussy cut those pretty Island Indigo flowers out but my hands were not having it so I diecut them out with a Circle Layering Framelit. The flourish was also diecut from the Flourish Thinlit Dies. This is one bundle I have not used too much over the last several years except for the sayings that are in the stamp set. It is a beautiful bundle!
The sentiment comes from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and my paper is from a retired pack called Blooms & Bliss.

Card Details:

Stamps: Flourishing Phrases, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Island Indigo (retired), Sahara Sand
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Mint Macaron, Island Indigo (retired), Blooms & Bliss DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Flourish Thinlits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Mint Macaron Shimmer Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Dimensionals & Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love this pack of paper and hope to get the last of it used up over the next few weeks!
I am going to get back to creating some cards for my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together's in hopes that our social distancing will soon end. I really miss making cards with my friends!
