Celebrate With Tags

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

The last few days have gotten away from me and I apologize for not getting anything posted.
Yesterday I got caught up in watching the Presidential Inauguration and that lasted pretty much all day. I think I have been watching them ever since Bill Clinton went into office. With President Trump back in office I pray things change in our country for the better.
So today I got started on working on cards for Audrey and just completely forgot to post. It's downright cold here which I think is getting the best of me. LOL Can't think past the cold!
Here I am at 5 pm making a post while waiting on Shawn to get home. He got stuck in traffic in York. I made a crock pot full of ham & green beans for supper. It surely filled my belly.

The cards I am sharing today are part of Audrey's upcoming order. She requested 3 cards for the pastors at her church so this is what I made...

Card Details:

Stamps: Celebrate With Tags (retired), Framed Florets (retired)
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Azure Afternoon, Basic White
Accessories: Celebrations Tags Dies (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Blueberry Bushel In Color Enamel Dots (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I came across this stamp set in a basket that has a variety of stamps in. I called it my "Mix of Holidays" stamps. I have everything organized by holidays so I know where to find something. This set is full of different things for different occasions. It even has Valentines Day so I may pull this set out soon and play with those stamps!

Audrey wanted to make this a complete set of 5 cards so I went ahead and made 2 more cards with different colors...

Card Details:

Stamps: Celebrate With Tags, (retired), Framed Florets (retired)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Basic White
Accessories: Celebrations Tags Dies (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Pretty In Pink In Color Shimmer Gems, Mini Dimensionals, Tombiw Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really hope Audrey likes these! I love how they turned out and of course, the colors!

They are calling for rain later today which we really need!
Unfortunately, we have to go out in it this evening for Shawn's doctor appointment.
Today I have a Fall birthday card to share that was also part of Audrey's order.

Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Splendid Autumn DSP

This pack of paper is so pretty and worked well for a special Fall birthday!

Special Fall Birthday

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another pretty day is on tap here in Pennsylvania! Last evening we took our daily walk around the neighborhood and noticed many of the trees are almost bare. We've seen so many piles of leaves raked and put out at the curb for the leaf truck to come suck them up. Sometimes it surprises me that kids aren't out jumping in them! I remember doing that as a young one. LOL

Today I have a pretty Fall birthday card to share that Audrey requested for a family member.
This was kept simple because that is how she likes them so I left the paper do all the work.

Of course I could not let this Fall season go by without using this paper from The Paper Studio which I found at Hobby Lobby. It's definitely the perfect piece for Fall, don't you think? I added it to my card base then used a sentiment from the retired Framed Florets stamp set along with a Daffodil Delight bow which I added some Linen Thread to it and attached it. Audrey loved that paper and so do I!!

Today I am back to my stamp table as soon as I get moving! I slept in way too long today. Never even heard Shawn get up for work this morning. It's not often I sleep in anymore but I suppose I must have needed those extra hours! And with the time change coming Sunday it's going to throw things off yet again.

2 more days until the trick or treaters come out! Are you ready?!
We will hand candy out as we do every year but we are lucky to get maybe 20 at most.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Rustic Crate Birthday Card

 Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

It's really foggy here in Red Lion this morning with more rain expected today.
It's been a nice rain, nothing heavy so that is good for the ground. It's been horrible to see what the people that were in the path of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Helene have been going thru. The flooding has been devastating to say the least. They are saying a few more days of showers here and then the sun will finally emerge and give us some nice Fall days.

Today I have a card to share that Audrey requested. She has 2 special birthdays coming soon for her daughter and her daughter in law. I made this one using the Rustic Crate set that came out in last years 2023 Holiday Catalog. It is still available in the 2024-2025 Annual Stampin Up Catalog. I got this bundle last year and hardly touched it so i'm glad to be able to show it some love now!

Card Details:

Stamps: Rustic Crate, Framed Florets (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Stampin Blends-Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, YG67 Copic Marker
Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, To Market DSP
Accessories: Rustic Crate Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Pecan Pie Enamel Dots, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I just love that pretty Fall image which was fun to color, too!

I was hoping to get more of her card order finished today but Kelsey & Shady are coming over to spend the day instead. She requested Corned Beef & Cabbage for supper which is an easy meal to whip up. Football doesn't start until 8pm tonight. Not sure if we'll see much of it as we are usually in bed by 8:30. I'm hoping to get a walk in this afternoon since we've not walked since Friday morning. Guess the weather will determine that! LOL

For A Special Friend

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope that your week is off to a great start!
Yesterday I got Audrey's card order all finished and ready to deliver to her. I straightened up my stamp table and i'm now ready to move on to working on some Thanksgiving cards. I may just take a break today and relax after a busy few weeks and then hit the ground running tomorrow. I am burnt out...

Today I am sharing a special card that I made for a special friend for her recent birthday! She is one of the sweetest people I know and has a heart of gold. Her favorite colors are purple & green and I used those colors in her card. Take a look...

Card Details:

Stamps: Framed Florets (retired)
Ink: Highland Heather, Soft Seafoam
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Soft Seafoam, Basic White
Accessories: Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Soft Seafoam Ribbon (retired), Adhesive Backed Seasonal Sequins (retired), Blending Brushes, Glue Dots, Corner Rounder Punch, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved this years Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks! The variety of different masks to create different types of cards in minutes! When thinking of sunflowers most people think to do them in a yellow color but I knew my recipient loved purple & green so that is the route I went in making this special card. I loved the outcome of using these 2 lighter colors than a bolder purple & green. I have seen these sunflowers done in blues & pinks as well and all of which were beautiful. I used a retired Corner Rounder Punch on 2 of the corners to give it a different look. So fun!

Special Person HB

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

We are heading out to the Oral Surgeons around 11:30 today for Shawn's appointment. He's had this done before so i'm hoping this will go just as smoothly as it did the first time.
I have a quick card to share with you today that uses a stamp from the Framed Florets set. It also uses DSP from the 2023 SaleABRation offering earlier this year.

Card Details:

Stamps: Framed Florets
Ink: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Evening Evergreen, Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Favored Flowers DSP (SAB 23)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Dies, Petal Pink/Champagne Ribbon (retired), Champagne Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This one went on my card rack for sale since my birthday cards are running low.
I guess I need to get working on making a few more!

Framed Florets HB

Good Morning & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

It's a beautiful Sunday morning here in PA!
The sun is shining and it's warming up quick. Shawn is putting our air conditioners in this morning since it's been in the 80's for the last several days. It seems a bit too early for this hot weather but atleast now we are ready!
Today I have a set of birthday cards to share using the Framed Florets bundle that came out last Fall. This set is on the retiring list come the end of this month and that was a shocker to me! I thought for sure this one would have carried over since it has some pretty floral images and a set of amazing dies!

When I sat down to make these I did not have anything or any design in mind.
I started with my Balmy Blue cardbases that were 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Then I took a piece of white cardstock that was 4 x 5 1/4 and started laying scraps of the Fitting Florets DSP on it and trimmed them down to fit. Once that was done I stamped my sentiment on a big Stylish Shapes Circle Die with Balmy Blue ink. Then I decided last minute to stamp the floral spray in Memento Black and color them in with Stampin Blends. Once they were diecut I added them to the side of my sentiment panel with some Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue and added a Polished Pink In Color Jewel to the center of the middle flower. Everything lays flat so it will mail nicely!

Card Details:

Stamps: Framed Florets
Ink: Memento Black, Balmy Blue, Stampin Blends-Polished Pink, Balmy Blue & Soft Succulent
Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Basic White, Fitting Florets DSP (retired)
Accessories: Framed Florets Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Polished Pink In Color Jewels (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have several birthdays coming up in the next month so I may just keep these and send out!
I really liked this suite of products that I just did not get a chance to use as much as I would have liked. That is probably my only downfall when it comes to Stampin Up!. Nothing sticks around long anymore. The DSP retired back in January when the bundle hit the Spring Mini Catalog. I wish they kept the DSP with the stamps for the life of a catalog!
I have a whole pack of this DSP that I will need to use up, eventually!

Framed Florets Fun Fold

Hello & Happy Thursday, Everyone!

I have a fun fold card to share today that I used for a birthday card several months ago. I also used the Framed Florets bundle for it and if you've seen this set, it's a beautiful one!

I know these pictures are on the dark side and I no longer have the card to redo them. This is probably my most favorite fun fold. My cardbase is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scoring at 1 1/4 and at 4 1/4. The 1 1/4 panel will get flipped out on the front of the card. Sometimes I glue that flap down and sometimes I just let it go but I always decorate that panel with DSP. Here I used the Fitting Florets DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: Framed Florets
Ink: Memento Black, Night of Navy, Stampin Blends-Soft Succulent, Balmy Blue & Night of Navy
Cardstock: Soft Succulent, Basic White, Night of Navy, Fitting Florets DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Framed Florets Dies, Iridescent Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card was so pretty IRL and i'm sorry I did not capture that here.
In the future you will be seeing more of this set as I have a card designed for an upcoming Stamp Day w/ Friends get together! I think the girls will enjoy a spring card with this one!

Faux Stairstep Card

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe it's the 1st day of February! Time just flies by...

Yesterday I stepped out of my comfort zone and made a card that I thought was really cool! Buckeye Inklings created a card a few months ago called the Faux Stairstep Card and I was intrigued with it! I saved the tutorial and gave it a try!

I pulled out my Framed Florets stamp set & Framed Florets Dies to create this one.

Card Details:

Stamps: Framed Florets
Ink: Night of Navy, Soft Succulent
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen, Basic White, Fitting Florets DSP (retired)
Accessories: Framed Florets Dies, Night of Navy Milky Dots, Soft Succulent Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Here is the link to her page if your interested in creating a card like this.

This card is so much easier than the regular Stairstep Cards so I hope you will give it a try!
