Seaside Notions HB

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today we are preparing for the remnants of Hurricane Ida here in PA.
They are predicting 6 to 8 inches of rain here.
Thankfully we got the roof situation taken care of and Shawn made sure all the rain gutters were open.
By this time tomorrow morning it will be here!

Today I woke up with severe back pain.
Not sure what in the world I did to it this time but oh my....I am hurting. Took some Advil and sitting with my heating pad on but I can still feel the throbbing pain. I have a huge card order that I started yesterday and today is looking like I need to put it on hold until this pain subsides. Shawn already told me not to worry about making supper that he would take care of it.
Always so grateful for him & his help!

I do have card #3 to share today from my Stamp Day w/ Friends get together.
We made a beachy/ocean card with the retired Seaside Notions stamp set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Seaside Notions
Ink: Early Espresso, Coastal Cabana
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Basic White, retired Stampin Up! DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, retired Glittered Enamel Dot, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

As summer winds down I was hoping to get this card kit made before Fall came and we succeeded on that! I hope the girls can use it before cooler weather gets here. I know Deb loves the beachy cards!
I love this card, too!

My thoughts today...

I'm hoping to find a pain reliever! LOL
Wishful thinking i'm sure but one can hope!

With Sympathy

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I'm back quick to share card # 2 from Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together!
I pulled out several retired items for this one...

The sentiment on this one comes from the retired set, Brighter Tomorrow from many years ago. It's a wood mounted set with lots of wonderful sympathy sentiments in it. My floral leaves are from the Positive Thoughts stamp set that is current. My Calypso Coral diecut butterfly comes from the Nature's Thoughts Dies that are still available as well. The paper is from the Garden Lane DSP which is retired. I purchased it when it went on the Retirement List 2 years ago. Beautiful paper in different Stampin Up! shades of green.

Card Details:

Stamps: Positive Thoughts, Brighter Tomorrow (retired)
Ink: Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Mint Macaron, Soft Seafoam, Basic White, Garden Lane DSP (retired)
Accessories: Nature's Thought's Dies, Mint Macaron Ribbon (retired), Mint Macaron Faceted Gems (retired), Mini Stampin Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My picture really does not do this card justice.
It has been cloudy & dreary here and it shows!
This card was one of my favorites because I love the mix of greens and the pop of color from the Calypso Coral on the butterfly!
Hope you liked it, too!

My thoughts today...

My plan today is to finish up my Halloween treats since there is no contractors here today! My supper is in the crock pot and I will be a stampin fool! Haha!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Life is Beautiful

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your having a nice weekend!
It's been busy here and I hope things soon calm down.
Yesterday I had my Stamp Day w Friends get together!
We've not been together since before Memorial Day.  We all had things on our plates and couldn't squeeze in a date until yesterday. I was so happy to see them and catch up on life! Those girls are my closest & best friends...it's a shame we all don't drink wine or coffee! LOL Anyways, we finally got the chance to make all those summertime card kits that I had made up back before summer even arrived.
Next month (September) we will work on all occasion cards then move on to Fall/Halloween. YAY!

I wanted to update yesterday after the girls left but Shawn had me running to Home Depot for a few things and by the time we got back it was time to start supper then football started at 6. My day was shot!
Today I am sharing card #1 from our stamp day....a quick & easy one!

This one uses a retired stamp set from last year's 2020 Holiday Mini catalog called Life is Beautiful! It was one of my favorite sets! I kept this simple for the girls and flat for easy mailing.

Card Details:

Stamps: Life is Beautiful (Million Dollar Achiever Set)
Ink: Early Espresso, Just Jade
Cardstock: Just Jade, Basic White, Just Jade DSP (retired)
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, Glue Dot, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Tomorrow I will share card #2.
I sure hope life calms down so I can concentrate on being more creative at my stamp table.
We have 1 more home improvement job on the horizon and I hope that soon gets done....I miss my stamp table!

It sure has!

Thank You Card

 Hello & Happy Friday!

Made it to another weekend!
It's to be a busy one here with a Stamp Day w/ Friends get together tomorrow and then some errands to do!

I'm sorry I was missing this past week.
It's been busy and the last 2 days it all caught up to me. I took some time for myself as I have been tired & grumpy. I had a return appointment with my dermatologist this week which went well. Got more meds for my psoriasis which is never ending and will return in 1 year.
The back porch roof is finally finished! They came earlier this week and got the shingles on it and put vinyl siding trim on the sides. They did a wonderful job but it was so stinkin hot when they were here...I felt so bad for them!
Now we can start getting things put back on the porch. I did not get any hanging flower baskets this year because we knew the roof job was going to happen. I may just now decorate it for Fall even though today it's to feel like 110 degrees!
How many days till Fall??

I have not done any stamping since last week and that is when I created this card that I am sharing today. I try to keep on top of having Thank You cards on hand for my customers and this was a quick one I made on the run!

Card Details:

Stamps: Biggest Wish
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Pattern Party DSP
Accessories: Basic Borders Dies, Pierced Blooms Dies, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I pulled my colors from the Pattern Party DSP which I think is perfect for this time of year! Still in summer mode but so ready for cooler, Fall weather!

Stitched Leaves Thanksgiving

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

A rainy morning here in PA again today thanks to Tropical Storm Henri off the coast of New Jersey. We are getting some bands of rain off & on but so far it's been a nice rain.

Today I have a pretty Thanksgiving card to share using a mix of products.

I took my Thick Whisper White cardbase and covered it with a piece of Early Espresso DSP that is retired. Then a layer of Basic White cardstock that I diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits then embossed with my favorite Tasteful Textile 3D EF. Then I added my pretty Stitched Leaves (love these!). I then added my sentiment that was stamped in Early Espresso ink and diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits. And of course, I had to fancy up my card with some Metallic Gold Pearls & Gold Cord bow and called it done!
Another pretty Thanksgiving card ready to send out this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Banner Year
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Basic White, Early Espresso DSP (retired), Brushed Metallic Cardstock
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Leaves Dies, Gold Cord, Gold Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was thrilled to see that the Brushed Metallic cardstock carried over this year since I had almost a full package of it left from last year.
I decided to take those beautiful Stitched Leaves Dies and cut into some of it!
The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment comes from the Banner Year stamp set which also carried over this year!
I love that Stampin Up! is doing keeping stamp sets around longer!

Sounds like fun!

Sweet Ice Cream

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is off to a great start!
My doggies go to doggie day spa this morning which Gigi absolutely hates anymore.
She really needs it though. Her fur grows so fast.

Anyways, I have a set of summertime birthday cards to share today.
I know I should not be jumping ahead to the upcoming holidays when it's still 90+ degrees outside. I just get excited for all the new goodies we get so early!
I used the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set on this and basically only used the sentiment from the set. I also used more of the retired Ice Cream Corner DSP with it.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweet Ice Cream
Ink: Terracotta Tile (retired)
Cardstock: Terracotta Tile (retired), Basic White, Ice Cream Corner DSP (retired)
Accessories: Ornate Layers Dies, Cinnamon Cider Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These will go on my card rack for sale unless my card lady snags them up first!

Shaded Summer Thank You

 Hello & Happy Friday!

Yay! We made it to another weekend!
My weekend is going to be really busy and today we have another home improvement project happening here at the Aungst Pad!
Shawn is off today to handle that project.
It's a rainy morning so I will get started on sharing another card using the Shaded Summer stamp set and the Summer Shadows Dies.
This one was made using the opposite piece of Misty Moonlight Pattern Party DSP from the other day's card...

This card shows the flower image diecut with the Summer Shadows Dies and I added my Thank You sentiment on a diecut Stitched Shapes Framelit Die which is now retired. Lastly I added a piece of twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and a couple Rhinestones.

Card Details:

Stamps: Shaded Summer
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Pattern Party DSP (Hostess item)
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Summer Shadows Dies (SAB), Stitched Shapes Framelits (retired), Circle Layering Framelits, Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, Rhinestones, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

No matter how you ink up those flower images whether it be with just an ink pad or with the Stampin Write Markers....you cannot go wrong with this stamp set!
It looks great either way!

More Shaded Summer & SAB Dies

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday turned out to be quite the stormy day!
We did not have any flooding but all around us did!
We had tornado and severe thunderstorm watches going most of the afternoon/evening.
By the time we headed to bed most of it was done but it was still thundering off in the distance. Not sure how much rain we got but it was much needed here.

Today I am sharing another card using the Shaded Summer stamp set and coordinating Summer Shadows Dies from the SaleABration catalog.

Card Details:

Stamps: Shaded Summer
Ink: Soft Succulent, Polished Pink & Soft Succulent Stampin Write Markers
Cardstock: Polished Pink, Basic White, Polished Pink DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Summer Shadows Dies (SAB), Tailor Made Tags Dies, Soft Succulent Ribbon, In Color Jewels, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

On this card I did the ink to rubber technique since my stamps are red rubber.
I used my Polished Pink & Soft Succulent Stampin Write Markers and inked each color on my stamp then huffed on it to remoisten it then stamped on my Basic White cardstock. This is one of the first techniques I learned when I got into stamping years ago!
Next I diecut my flower image out with the Summer Shadows Dies.
I only wish we had dies that cut out each individual flower so we could change out the colors.
The sentiment also comes from the Shaded Summer stamp set and I inked that with Soft Succulent and diecut it with the Tailor Made Tags Dies.
I have quite a few birthdays coming up in the next several months so I have been working to get some made ahead of time while my schedule isn't busy.

Shaded Summer stamp set is available in the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog and the Summer Shadows Dies are available while supplies last in the SaleABration Mini Catalog FREE with a $100 order.

Today would have been my Dad's 86th birthday.
He is missed every single day!!
Love you & Happy Birthday, Dad!

Shaded Summer

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well so far!

Today we are under a flood watch since the rains from Tropical Storm Fred are coming our way! Hopefully we don't get too much!

I have a card to share today using a stamp set from the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog called Shaded Summer. I have had this set for awhile and today it finally seen ink!

I love monochromatic cards because to me they are simple to make instead of guessing what color goes with another color.

Card Details:

Stamps: Shaded Summer
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Pattern Party DSP
Accessories: Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This stamp set also has a set of dies that are available for FREE with a $100 order during SaleABration! I had to have them!
I have a card to share tomorrow that uses the dies, so stay tuned for that!

Happy Holidays

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's a rainy, dreary morning here in PA this morning.
It almost makes you want to stay in bed half the day!

Today I have a set of holiday cards to share using a variety of Stampin Up! products.
My card lady loves the poinsettia cards so I have been working on making cards for her to choose from this holiday season.
I pulled out my Poinsettia Petals bundle and found some retired Wrapped in Plaid DSP that was perfect for what I wanted to create! If you have the retired stuff, why not use it!!

I really loved these big poinsettia flowers against that pretty plaid paper!
I added some texture with the white panel that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Can you tell it's my favorite? I love the subtle look of it and the light texture it adds to my projects!
My sentiment comes from the stamp set, Poinsettia Petals.

Card Details:

Stamps: Poinsettia Petals
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Gold Foil, Wrapped in Plaid DSP (retired)
Accessories: Poinsettia Dies, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Of course, these took some time to create with all the passes thru the Big Shot to emboss and diecut all those flowers but so worth it in the end.
I don't think these will last long once my card lady sees them!
I also kept these flat for easy mailing especially since postage prices are going up....again!

Hand Sanitizer Holder

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you had a nice weekend!

The muggy weather is back today!
I guess that means another week of running my air conditioning...

Today I have one last hand sanitizer holder to share with you!
These would make a nice little gift for a kid going back to school.
Can't believe schools will be back in session soon and one sign of that is that football is back! This past Saturday we watched our Baltimore Ravens play their 1st preseason game. It was great to watch them play again! And they won!

I remember when Kelsey gave me these hand sanitizers that she picked up at Bath & Bodyworks back in the beginning of summer. I hoped she picked me up some peach scented ones but they did not have any. So, I pulled out the flowers from the You're A Peach stamp set and got to work on decorating these!

Project Details:

Stamps: Sweet As A Peach, Sweet Strawberry (sentiment)
Ink: Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Pale Papaya, Calypso Coral, You're A Peach DSP
Accessories: Peach Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Pale Papaya Ribbon, In Color Jewels, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Always fun making something other than cards!

Banner Year Halloween

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your having a nice weekend!
Our weather today had cooled off allowing us to open the windows and let the fresh air in! I am taking advantage of it because tomorrow we are back to the muggies.

Yesterday I stamped most of the day.
I worked on some Halloween treats and then I moved on to a few cards I keep in my favorites folder to case at a later date.
I had a card saved by Dawn Olchefske that I wanted to case and then I made a few changes to it. Thanks Dawn for your inspiration!

Here is my card...

Banner Year stamp set came out last year (and it's still available in Annual Stampin Up! catalog!) and it is one of those great stamp sets that has images in for several different holidays. For this card I used the bat, the spider web & the jack o lantern.
My sentiment comes from the Frightfully Cute stamp set which is new this year.
And again, that Buffalo Check ribbon which is my favorite!
The plaid paper is from the Plaid Tidings DSP from last year as well.
I had 4 packs of this paper so I am trying to use it up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Banner Year, Frightfully Cute
Ink: Memento Black, Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Plaid Tidings DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Frightful Tags Dies, Rhinestones, Buffalo Check Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another Halloween card on my pile to send out this year!
I'm getting there slowly but surely!
