Thinking of You Card Set

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Can you believe this is the last day of February already!
After this being the coldest month of the year so far i'm ready for March! Hopefully March will bring us some warmer temps and I know next weekend we change the clocks ahead so that means we will have longer days of daylight! WooHoo!

Today I have the family coming over this afternoon for Steaks & Shrimp for supper then playing Wii Bowling! We have not done this in a long time. Seemed like every Saturday that we had a family game night planned it would snow. It's very cold out but thankfully no snow in the forecast! So, before I close out for the day, I wanted to share another package of cards I got made for Audrey. I'm sure she will be pleased. She asked for 2 packs of Thinking of You cards made with flowers.

I'm thinking SPRING on these cards! LOL I used an old set called Never Ending Joy which has this pretty bouquet of tulips in. It also has a bunch of wonderful Easter sentiments in as well. It makes pretty cards!

Thinking of You Card Set:

Stamps: Never Ending Joy, The Gifts of Kindness sentiment

Cardstock: Neenah White, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Delicate Dots DSP

Well, I need to pop out to the store quick before I start getting things ready for my gang to come later! I'll be back again tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Mixed Bunch Get Well Card Set

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yep, you guessed it!
I have another pack of cards today for my customer, Audrey!

This card set I threw together very quickly! I'm trying to get her order wrapped up by tomorrow since she needs them on March 1st.

Here is the set of Get Well cards....

I pulled out my Fresh Prints DSP Pad and went with the colors in the paper. Aren't they pretty?
Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar & Whisper White! I love them!
My flower is from the Mixed Bunch set which I just love! The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned which is now retired. My flower is punched with the Blossoms Punch and popped up with a dimensional but it should still be very mail friendly. I added a rhinestone to the middle of the center.
Hope you like!

Painted Petals Card Set

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I'm headed out shortly to go to lunch with my Mom & Dad then brave the bitter cold to do some shopping. I have been in the house since my doctor appointment last Wednesday and need to get out. The sun is shining brightly but don't let that fool you, it's darn cold out! We woke yesterday to -2 temps and that does not include the wind chill. Too cold for my liking!

So, before I head out to spend some time with my parents, I'm going to share a pack of cards I made for my customer, Audrey.
I finally got my Painted Petals set last Friday and had to get it inked!!

She needs a pack of Sympathy cards and this is what I came up with for her. I really like the colors and the pattern on the Painted Blooms DSP.
What do you think??

Painted Petals Card Set:

Stamps: Painted Petals, Simply Sketched (sentiment)
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Pacific Point

Color Challenge 519

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I made a card for my upcoming Aunt's 81st birthday on Sunday! I used this week's Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge 519.

This week's colors are:

Blackberry Bliss, Pool Party & Pear Pizzazz.
I do not have a color splotch this week.

Here is my card....

I just love this pretty Love is Kindness stamp! I seem to use it alot! :)
My Aunt Cass has a birthday coming up on Sunday so I took advantage of using this week's Color Challenge to make a card for her. She will be 81.

Our dessert option was to use embellishments on our cards that we love and why we love them. I used a cute little Library Clip that I seem to hoard because I love how dainty they are and they just add so much to any project! I love rhinestones as well!! Every card deserves just a little bit of bling! And another favorite of mine is ribbon/twine! No card is complete if it doesn't have some sort of ribbon or twine added!

I really liked these colors today! Hope you do too!

Color Challenge 519 Card:

Stamps: Love is Kindness (Occasions Mini Catalog), Simply Sketched (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss
Accessories: Lg Polka Dot EF, Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangles, Lg Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Silver Library Clip, Rhinestones, Pool Party Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge #147

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

So sorry for the lack of posts this past week. Hopefully this week will be better!
I had a doctor checkup this past week which went good. Then we had some of the coldest air of the season and it took it's toll on my back. My pain meds aren't doing much for me so i've been sitting around with my heating pad just taking it easy. I really hope spring soon arrives!

Today we have a new challenge for you from over at Merry Monday! Bonnie is our hostess and she has the perfect challenge for us! Let's get started.....

I borrowed the Many Merry Stars stamp set from my friend, Nan, since I do not have either of the star stamp sets that were available in the 2014 Holiday Mini and the Holiday Mini Supplement. She also has the matching Star Framelits and was kind enough to allow me to borrow them. What do you think? I'm pretty happy with my card....just wish I had the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder to go with it!

Merry Monday Challenge #147 Card:

Stamps: Many Merry Stars
Ink: Night of Navy, Encore Silver Metallic Pad
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Brushed Silver Metallic CS.
Accessories: Decorative Dots EF, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Star Framelits, Corner Rounder, Night of Navy Stitched Ribbon, Silver 1/8 Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multi Liquid Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to check out what the other ladies have created this week! Lots of great inspiration! Can't wait to see what you create!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

I don't have very many Santa images so I tried to look for something different this time. I found in my stash this retired Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set with this small size Santa head. It worked well for a  sketch that I had saved on my computer. Simple, easy and very mail friendly!

Merry Monday Challenge #146 Card:

Stamps: Jolly Bingo Bits, Good Greetings
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Red Glimmer Paper, Fresh Prints DSP
Accessories: Circle Punch, Red Rhinestones, Dimensional, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Love is in the air! Unfortunately, we had plans with my parents & Ryan to have a get together later today to celebrate Valentine's Day & also my parents anniversary! I'm thinking this may be their 56th wedding anniversary but not quite sure. I will have to look into that! Anyways, we planned to do New York Strip steaks on the grill and have all the fixin's with Lemon Lush for dessert but with the weather people calling for some snow today that plan quickly got cancelled until maybe next weekend. I feel sad about it but I know the thought of one single snowflake falling from the sky, my Dad will not drive in it anymore. Sunday we are to have VERY extreme cold temps with a high wind warning and then there is the possibility of snow drifts which again Dad will not drive in. Hopefully next weekend we can make it happen! Kelsey went to her boyfriends for the weekend as they have plans to go to Cabella's with his family today. Not even sure that will happen with bad weather expected. So today it will just be my hubby, Ryan, Gigi & Bailee and me. I will probably take some time to go craft a bit. I am in need of a Sympathy card plus I have another HUGE order for about 35 cards. I can get a head start on them since we are going to be having a snow day/weekend!

So, before I close, I wanted to share the rest of my Valentine's Day things I whipped up.

Let's get to it!

M&M Sticks with Hearts A Flutter stamps and matching Framelits! Love that about Stampin Up.....everything coordinates! :)

Scalloped Envelope Die decorated with Amore DSP & Filled with Love Stamp Set.
Cute! :)

The Mini Treat Bag Framelits make such a nice holder for a note card or candy! Very easy to use & assemble!  DSP is from the Stacked with Love Paper Pad & I used the Groovy Love stamp set on this one with the matching Sweetheart Punch! :)

This Mini Treat Bag Framelit I used the Stacked with Love Paper Pad , the You Plus Me stamp set, Sweetheart Punch with Red Glimmer Paper, Chalk Talk Framelits to diecut the sentiment panel and the Crisp Cantaloupe panel is embossed with the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder! :)

Of course there are more candy treat bags! These are my specialty! LOL I used Candy Lane DSP retired paper on these and the retired set called PS. I Love You. Each bag is filled with a variety of candies! :)

Then again, my Reese's Peanut Butter Hearts, Eggs, Pumpkins & Trees have become a favorite of mine to bag up! I'm not wild on Peanut Butter so you won't catch me munching on them!

I used the new to me, Happy Heart Day Single Stamp on these! I fought tooth & nail to win this stamp off of Ebay a week or so ago! Paid more than I would have liked but this adorable heart shaped stamp is perfect all by itself! The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby! They always have the cutest patterned papers there! :)

And what holiday wouldn't be complete without having some Hershey Candy Bar Wrappers! I did these to give away for a few sweet treats for Valentine's Day! The patterned paper is once again from Hobby Lobby, the stamp is Happy Heart Day from SU! and the cardstock is from Michael's. I ran out of Real Red cardstock from SU! so had to improvise. Michael's cardstock is much thinner than SU! and worked out perfectly for these candy bar wrappers! :)

And lastly is the card I made my Valentine this year! I really put some thought into this one and tried to get it to say what I felt! The paper is from the Stacked with Love Paper Pad, the Love die is from the Expressions Thinlits and the You & hearts are from the Work of Art stamp set. First I ever used that stamp set and it will not be the last! The Red Glimmer paper is what I used to cut out the "love" word. I think he will love it! :)

So many cute things from the Valentine's Day Treat Bags to the Mini Treat Bag Framelits! I just love the things you can do to decorate candy for any holiday! :)

My Stampin Up! party with the girls was a success last night! I placed a huge order but then ended up with $90 hostess money to spend. I did not even have a list made up of what I wanted so it took me a bit the go thru the catalogs and make my choices. I'm pleased though with what I ordered!  It's always great to hang out with the girls, talk & laugh! We did miss Deb K. & Miss Emily but we will catch up to them soon at the next party! :)

My dear sweet wonderful husband made me open my Valentine's Day gift last night too! I wanted to wait till today since it was for Valentine's Day. He got me one of those Open Hearts Collection Necklaces from Kay Jewelers! They caught my eye back at Christmas time. Then last week I had seen a commercial of Jane Seymour advertising these beautiful necklaces and so I made mention how pretty they are. Yep, he must have been paying attention! It's beautiful! We've been married this year for 25 years and I think it's the first in quite awhile that I got jewelry! Love him & the necklace! :)

Well, that is all I have for today!
Sorry for such a long post.
Guess I had a lot to say & share, which might not be a bad thing! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
Happy Valentine's Day, friends!

Just a quick update here today then I have to go finish getting ready for my Stampin Up party tonight! WooHoo! Can't wait!

Kirsten asked me the other day if I could make her an special birthday card for a friend of hers. She loves owls! Why certainly I said! Any chance I get to use my Owl Builder Punch is a plus!

I showed it to Kelsey the other night and she said that Mandee (the birthday girl) will just love it! She's such an "owl freak'! haha!

Valentine's M&M Holders

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday I wanted to do a blog update but the day just got away from me!
Hopefully today's post will make up for my absence.

A few weeks ago I was cleaning out my iris carts and found a couple packs of test tube containers that I had purchased from Papertreyink moons ago! They were still sealed in the cello bags. I decided to make them up for Valentine's Day with M&M's and get rid of what was left of them. I think they packaged up very well and my customers went crazy over them!

I had 15 left and believe it or not but I went thru 2 bags of M&M's to fill these. They definitely hold more than you think!

I used a variety of stamps & papers on these.

Test Tube Holders:

Cut cardstock 1 1/2 X  9
Score at 1/2, 1 1/2, 2 3/4, 3 3/4
Take bone folder over score lines for a nice crease.  I used a 3/4 in circle punch to make the opening for where the test tube sits in. Then glue the 1/2 in end and decorate! Very simple!

Well, that's all for me today!
Busy day with laundry and getting my ducks in a row for my Stampin Up party tomorrow evening. My stamp room needs a good straightening up too! LOL So much too do and so little energy!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day, friends!

Color Challenge 517

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is Color Challenge day over at Splitcoaststampers and these colors are so pretty together that I could not resist playing along!

Color Challenge 517
Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana & Old Olive

Decided to get a jump on Easter since Valentine's Day is wrapped up for me.

I'm pleased with how my card turned out with these pretty colors. I found this sketch a few months back and I am always drawn to using it. I think the tilted panel just catches your eye!

I used last years Blessed Easter stamp with those gorgeous tulips! I colored my image with Copic Markers. Used the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder on the white panel just for interest. I wrapped it up with some Coastal Cabana Baker's Twine and glued my tilted panel onto the Bermuda Bay cardbase. Lastly I threw on 3 very small white pearls. If you know me, I always have to have some sort of bling on my cards! :)

Color Challenge 517 Card:

Stamps: Blessed Easter
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Accessories: Decorative Dot EF., Coastal Cabana Baker's Twine, White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono Adhesive

Hope you like my card today! It reminds me of spring!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day, friends!

Merry Monday Challenge #145

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday! I am the hostess this week so let's get right to it!

I used my Scentsational Season stamp set with matching Holiday Collection Framelits for this week's challenge. I really have used this set hard over the last few years. I stamped my candy canes in Cherry Cobbler ink and cut them out and criss crossed them on my Very Vanilla panel so I could add some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine. My sentiment comes from the retired Chock Full of Cheer stamp set. My patterned paper is from the Be of Good Cheer DSP pack. I added 3 Cherry Cobbler Rhinestones and adhered it all to my Cherry Cobbler card base and called it done. I love it and hope you do too!

Please stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other Merry Maker's have created this week! They did an amazing job with giving you lots of inspiration to help you create a Christmas card with a Candy Cane! Hope you will play along with us this week!

Merry Monday Challenge #145 Card:

Stamps: Scentsational Season, Chock Full of Cheer
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Be of Good Cheer DSP
Accessories: Holiday Collection Framelits, Rhinestones, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono Adhesive

Well, that is all for me today!
Have to get my house cleaned so that means no crafty time. Busy week ahead with a stamp get together with my girls & family time but that makes it all worth it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day, friends!

Valentine's Day Cards

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Last week I worked on an huge card order for some customers for Valentine's Day cards. Today i'm going to share them with you! I hope you like them!

This first card was made for Audrey as she wanted Valentine's Day cards for her granddaughters. She specifically wanted red & white.,,,

I used my very loved Hearts A Flutter stamps set with matching Framelits and the Happy Heart Embossing Folder for these cards. I love these! Very simple & very pretty cards!

This set of cards here are also for Audrey. She wanted 2 Thinking of You cards also in red & white. I pulled out my new Love is Kindness stamp with these beautiful tulips! So fun to color too!

This next set of cards I made for Billie Jo. She is an Origami Owl consultant and asked for Valentine's cards for her Origami Owl girls so I need to use an owl! I'm pleased with how these turned out too! Kirsten said Billie Jo loved them! I tried to add bling to my owls since it's all about the Origami Owl jewelry. Each owl has a little heart that has a rhinestone for that pop of bling!

This set is for Billie Jo. She loves everything in pinks! I went with Pretty in Pink for this set. Love the Groovy Love stamp set too! That heart is adorable!

This last card is also for Billie Jo. Remember she likes anything & everything PINK! I used the same design as Audrey's pack of cards except I used Melon Mambo for these. I really like the Melon Mambo color and that Happy Hearts Embossing Folder!

I had 2 very happy customers with their card orders and that makes me happy!
Mission accomplished!

So, today I have a quick errand to run then I'd like to craft a bit this afternoon. Planning on making a very special Valentine's Day gift. My week is looking to be a bit busy with house cleaning, laundry and Friday is my stamp party with my girls and Saturday is my Mom & Dad's Anniversary and we invited them for supper that day! I will be in the kitchen half the week preparing! LOL Mama said there'd be days like this, right??!! It's all good though!

Thanks for stopping by today & have a super Sunday, friends!
