My Birthday Adventures & More....

Hello & Happy Saturday/Sunday!

A very late update this evening as I wrap up my busy but fun day!
Today (Saturday) was my 50th birthday. My hubby & I went out for a 16 mile bike ride this afternoon! It was fun except I got a bit of sun/wind burn on my face from the hefty winds we had from Tropical Storm Hermine. I didn't have any sunscreen on as I figured we would only do our usual 6-8 mile ride but since the weather was gorgeous.....we went way farther than we ever have before. We were 3 miles from the Maryland line today! What an accomplishment!
I have to say that riding south your definitely riding uphill which those last 3-4 miles were no easy feat! My knees are reminding me now how tough it was but coming back...smooth sailing!!

Here are some pictures...

My hot rod taking a break heading south...

Pit stop in Glen Rock, PA.
Busy little town along the Rail Trail.
Lots of different style eating places that smelled SO good!

Mile Marker 4....what a killer! It doesn't look it but your going uphill.

Last Mile Marker on this trip took us to Railroad, PA.
3 miles left to the Maryland Line which did not happen today but hopefully sometime this Fall.
I had a really nice birthday as my hubby & 2 kids spoiled me with nice gifts. Even my doggies (Gigi & Bailee) gave me lots of moochies! Those are the best! It was a wonderful day!

So enough about my birthday adventure!

I managed to get some time in to create before and after our bike ride.
Here is what I created today!

Now these are gorgeous in pink, don't ya think?

Night of Navy Poinsettia's Tags

Hello & Happy Friday!

The Labor Day weekend is here!
It's the official end of summer and I can only hope that cooler days will be here soon!
The weather this weekend is looking to be nice but short lived as the heat will be back next week.
Anyone have any fun plans this holiday weekend?

So, yesterday I sat and played with my Reason for the Season stamp set and the Festive Flower Builder Punch. I had this idea to make Night of Navy poinsettia's.
Take a look...

Not sure how I feel about these but I wanted to try something different than the typical red poinsettia's.
What do you think?

Memory Box Deer Tags

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
It sure was another hot one around here. Still hoping for cooler weather to come soon!

Today I have another pack of Christmas Tags to share. These are made with the Trio of Deer die from Memory Box. My friend, Carol, introduced me to these a few years back and it's been in my stash ever since! Thanks Carol!

These tags were so much fun to whip up! I went with more neutral manly colors with a pop of sparkle from the Gold Glimmer Paper and Gold Cord. The Merry Christmas is from the Petite Pairs set and the To and From is from Chock Full of Fun. My tags are made with Crumb Cake cardstock and I used a SU Corner Punch to create the corners to look like a tag. I'm not sure of the name of the punch anymore. It's an old one. To finish up my tags I used some Jute that was in my stash to attach them to a gift bag or a package. And you may have noticed....the Memory Box Trio of Deer Die has 3 deer on. I cut the 3rd one off to fit my tags. You will probably see that lonely 3rd deer floating around on another project eventually! LOL

My thoughts today....

Another one of those jobs I dislike but someones got to do it, right?

Thanks for stopping by & have a great Monday!

Snow Place Tags

Hello & Happy Friday!

TGIF!

Today I have another pack of Christmas Tags to share.
I'm slowly starting to work on some Christmas things and tags have been on my agenda!
These were alot of work but also fun to make!

Can you believe that I did not have one penguin stamp in my stamp collection?

I had this stamp set, Snow Place, in my sights last year when it came out then thought to myself that I really did not need it. Then a few months ago I was asked to make bridal shower invites with a penguin on and realized I did not have a single penguin stamp! After that I got the Snow Place set & matching Snow Friends Framelits and made this pack of tags for the upcoming holiday season!
Cute aren't they?

Merry Christmas Penguin Tags:

Stamps: Snow Place
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie SU Marker
Cardstock: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, This Christmas Specialty Paper
Accessories: Snow Friends Framelits, 2 1/2 Circle Punch, Lucky Stars EF, Two Tags Bigz Die, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Cherry Cobbler Thick Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I don't know why I did not take photo's of the tags before I packaged them up!
I will just chalk it up to getting old & forgetful.

My thought for today.....

For sure!

That's all I have for today!

Thanks for stopping by & have a really great day!

Poinsettia Christmas Tags

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Our weather here yesterday & today is gorgeous!
Last evening we decided to leave the bikes parked in the garage and take a hike instead at Lake Redman. The lake was calm & peaceful. It was a nice hike other than the swarms of gnats that were close to the waters edge.

Tonight we will probably do another hike on a different trail which is fine by me. I like switching things up!

So, yesterday I shared a sunflower card that was made with the Two Tags Bigz Die. Today I have a pack of gift tags made for Christmas that I used the same tag and Woodgrain stamp on. I love these!

I used the Reason for the Season stamp set & coordinating Festive Flower Punch for these. I stamped up enough petals to make 20 poinsettia's and that's no easy feat but the outcome is always very rewarding! These are gorgeous! My saying comes from the Lots of Joy stamp set that is retired. The center has gold beads in them that I am not sure where they came from....I want to say the Dollar Tree. My gold string came from an Amish stamp store....years ago! I finally found the right project to use it on! All I can say is that these pictures do not do these tags justice.

Poinsettia Tags:

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Real Red, Old Olive
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Old Olive

My thoughts for today....

He knows I hate to cook....but someone's gotta do it, right?

That's all for today!

Christmas Goodies

Hello & Happy Monday!

Just a reminder that there is no Merry Monday this week.
Since we are on a holiday break I am continuing to share Christmas items from my craft show season.

The Lindor Truffle bags I picked up at the Dollar Tree and added a pretty topper to it using the "Oh, What Fun" stamp set. I made these up as "Thank You" gifts for special orders.

Here are more Crystal Light containers covered with paper and decorated. I filled these with the Hershey's Minature's Candies. The pretty snowflake paper is from Kaisercraft. The stamp set used is Flurry of Wishes from the Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog 2015.

I hope you are enjoying the holiday break!
I have been relaxing and giving my hands a much needed break!
I have already taken down my holiday decorations and packed them away for another year.
Today I have a few chores around the house to do then hopefully heading to my craft room to do some cleaning out and reorganizing. It finally feels like winter has arrived. Today's temps are much colder than our 70 degrees yesterday! Crazy weather!!!

That is all for me today!
Stay tuned this week as I continue to share my Christmas goodies and then on Thursday (New Years Eve), I will share my Year in Review! For me it's always fun to look back on all the things I created!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Mother's Day Gift

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

This past weekend I spent some time at the stamp table making an adorable gift for my Mom for Mother's Day this year. The latest craze are the purses filled with cards. I have seen them all over Pinterest & Facebook and I eventually got sucked into making one for myself. I will put a link at the end for you to go and see how to make these for yourself.

Here we go!

Purse with 6- A2 size cards with matching envelopes, Tissue Box, Post It Note & RSVP Pen.

Stamps: Bloom for You, Sassy Salutations
Ink: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Gold Soiree DSP
Accessories: MS Doily Border Punch, Fun Flower Punch, Gold Buttons, Crisp Cantaloupe Baker's Twine, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Stamp A Ma Jig, Tombow Liquid Multi Mono, 2 Sided Tape

Here is the link to making these purses.
I did make some changes and I did not cut up the DSP the way it is in the tutorial.
I did use the 2 - 4 X 8 pieces of DSP and cut the rest up the way I needed it.

I think my Mom is going to love this purse filled with goodies! I will add a gift card to it yet to complete her Mother's Day gift. I can see I will be making a bunch more of these! So fun!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
