Merry Monday Challenge 198

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend!

Today over at Merry Monday we have a new challenge for you!
Bonnie is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

This was a bit of a challenge for me but after looking thru a few different stamp sets I found this sentiment and immediately decided to use it. I used a Papertreyink holly die and an embossing folder from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) that has holly leaves on. Just a simple card and one that will be flat for mailing.

Merry Monday Challenge 198 Card:

Stamps: Christmas Messages
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) Holly Embossing Folder, PTI Holly Die, Gold Cord, Tombow Liquid Glue

Well, I wanted to let everyone know that this week is my last week as a designer for the Merry Monday Challenge. I have come to the decision to step down about a month ago due to some life changes. My hubby will be having surgery in a few weeks in which my time will be busy in caring for him plus I just feel it's time. I have enjoyed my time with this group of ladies over the last few years and value the friendships I have made with them. Lesley, thank you for this opportunity! I have enjoyed it very much! This isn't goodbye as i'm sure when time allows I will join in & play along because I will need Christmas cards too! So, I hope to see you around in blogland in the future!

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge #133

Hello & Happy Monday!

Here we are at the first Monday of November.
The time is just flying by and before long it will be Christmastime!

Today, we have a new challenge over at Merry Monday. Nina is our hostess and she is asking for rustic with creams, tans & browns.

I pulled out some old DSP from SU called Christmas Cocoa DSP and combined it with a new stamp set called Cheerful Tags. I've just got this stamp set last week and I have been using it left & right on my stuff for the Christmas shows! Love it!  I added a button to my cute tag and some banners at the top of my card that were embossed with the SU Snow Burst EF. I stamped a snowflake from the same stamp set, punched it out with a 1 1/4 circle punch and placed it at the top of my banners with a dimensional. I really like these colors together!

Merry Monday Challenge #133 Card:

Stamps: Cheerful Tags, Christmas Messages (inside)
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Christmas Cocoa DSP
Accessories: Note Tag Punch. Circle Punches, Banner Framelits, Button, Linen Thread, Glue Dot, Pearls, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other's have created this week! We also hope you'll play along!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #96

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great day!

We went to visit a very good friend of ours last night who has been in the hospital since last Wednesday. She is 7 months pregnant and her water broke. Today is the day they are inducing her labor and as of right now....nothing! The baby will be born at 34 weeks and they have been giving Amy meds to help build up little Vienna's lungs. I'm so excited for her! Her mom is up from Delaware keeping little Dominic while this is all happening. I offered to keep him today if she wanted to be with her daughter for the birth so I wanted to hurry and get my card made ASAP before the call comes.

Anyways, i'm down to the wire on getting my card made for this week's Dynamic Duo's card so here we go!

The color I chose to go with my Gumball Green is Cherry Cobbler! :)
When I think of Gumball Green I think of Christmas so that's the direction I went. I found in my "Image Box" this adorable image already stamped in the colors I needed . The images are from the Joyous Celebration set from the Holiday Mini 2012. I never purchased the set but borrowed it from my friend & stamping buddy, Deb. Thanks Deb! In my stash I found a piece of Gumball Green already embossed with the SU Snow Burst EF and then I embossed a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Designer Frames EF's. Added a piece of Stitched White Grosgrain and completed my inside. Threw on a few white pearls and called it done. Another card ready for Christmas! Hope you like!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #96 Card:

Stamps: Joyous Celebration, Christmas Messages & More Merry Messages (inside)
Ink: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Neenah White, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: White Oval Punch, Snow Burst EF, Designer Frames EF, White Stitched Ribbon, White Pearls, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

I'm pretty happy with my card and I tried to keep it mail friendly but then I added my gold beads and that went out the window! Oh well, I tried! LOL
I love the patterned paper and the sentiment panel that was cut with the Chalk Talk Framelits. Simple & easy, just not mail friendly! LOL

Merry Monday Challenge Week #72

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. She gave us a really easy layout this week so I hope you can play along with us!

Here we go....

I drew inspiration from my paper, Season of Style, from Stampin Up. I then pulled out Santa from the Color Me Christmas set. So cute, don't ya think?? My sentiment on the front is from Oh, Goodie! The inside sentiment is from Christmas Messages. All new stamps & paper!  I threw in some clear rhinestones for a bit a sparkle after I used some glitter on my Santa. My ribbon is retired. I made a flat bow for easier mailing. Feel free to stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Markers created this week. Also we are saying goodbye to 2 of our Merry Makers this week, Narelle & Sherry! I've so enjoyed working with these 2 ladies and will miss them on the team.

Merry Monday Week #72 Card:

Stamps: Color Me Christmas, Oh Goodie!, Christmas Messages
Ink: Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Season of Style DSP
Accessories: Circle Nestibilities, Word Window Punch, Cherry Cobbler Scallop Polka Dot Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Glue Pen, Glitter, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that is all from me today!
Time to get my housework done then maybe later I can stamp a bit more.....if I can move. The back has been bothering me a bit again. :(
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
