Irish Blessings & Rae Dunn

 Hello & Happy Friday, Everyone!

Today's blog post is going to be a long one so i'm going to get right to it!

St Patrick's Day is right around the corner along with Spring!
I always try to make St Patrick's Day cards every year and send a few out to friends.
This year I was way ahead of the game as I made these back in January on a very cold day!
I went to my stamp table and just pulled out a bunch of stuff and started playing around.

I started with a single piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 4 x 5 1/4.
I pulled out the Basic Patterns Decorative Masks and a new Blending Brush and got it all dirty in the Garden Green inkpad. I lightly sponged the ink onto my white cardstock. Some area's I made really dark and some very light. I loved the contrast! This was the start of my St Patrick's Day cards!
My sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly which I stamped in Garden Green and diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits. The Gold Foil Paper was diecut with a scallop die from the Brilliant Rainbow Dies. I cut 2 for each card and placed them on either side of my sentiment panel. My 3 Leaf Clover is from Impression Obsession and I used Garden Green cardstock. I added that with Mini Dimensionals at the bottom of my sentiment panel. Lastly, I added some non SU Gold Rhinestones for sparkle!

Card Details:

Stamps: Irish Blessings (My Sentiments Exactly)
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Brilliant Rainbow Dies, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks, Impression Obsession Clover Die, Gold Rhinestones, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

And before I go, I have my St Patrick's Day decorations to share!

This first picture is of my kitchen table.
All of the goodies have been found at Hobby Lobby or Home Goods stores.
2 of the Rae Dunn mugs I bought off of Ebay but everything else we found at either Home Goods or Marshall's.

The tiered tray Kelsey gave me and I decided this year I was going to do my best to find things small enough to fit in it. Sadly, my Rae Dunn mugs do not fit it. Everything on it came from Hobby Lobby except for the green beads.....not sure where they came from as I have had them for years! The LUCKY tray and the shamrock plate came from Marshall's on a lucky find!  I filled my plate with Ande's Thin Mints for St Patrick's Day!

My picture table has a few things on for St Patrick's Day, too!
I haven't really found much else.
All the decorations on this table came from Home Goods except the shamrock pillow and the wire basket on the far right hand side. They came from Target's Dollar Spot. The wire basket has a few Rae Dunn mugs inside of it, 2 St Patrick's Day bowls that I have fake gold coins in and a Lucky Charms sign. On top of my basket is a wood lid that is made to sit on top. I found the fake stack of wooden books at Home Goods. Maybe next year I will find more fun things for St Patrick's Day!

And lastly is my favorite shelf in the whole house!
I love decorating this for every holiday!

The Leprechan Treats Canister is Rae Dunn and a very lucky find by Kelsey!
When she gave it to me i'm sure my jaw hit the floor because finding the canisters are very hard! She gave it to me since she does not decorate for St Patrick's Day.
The shamrock flowerpot and the Rae Dunn mugs we found at Home Goods. The signs came from Marshall's as well as the garland! The green gumball machine has shamrocks on top and I found that at Hobby Lobby and filled it with more Ande's Thin Mints. What is hard to see in this picture is a strand of fairy lights that have shamrocks on that light up! They really set this shelf alive in the evenings when they are lit! They came from Hobby Lobby, too! Most of the Rae Dunn items were found right after Christmas and I did not hesitate to grab it because it seems St Patrick's Day things are harder to find.
It all just makes me smile!
Shawn always says he likes how it looks once everything is decorated!
He even helps shop for it!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my other hobby besides stamping!
I'm learning as I go!
Next up will be Easter but I promise I will wait to share that next month!

That is all for now!
I'll be back soon with more stamped goodies!

Coffee Cup Carrier

Hello & Happy Monday!

The start of another week! Hope you all had a nice weekend!

Today I am sharing one of the Coffee Cup Carriers I made for Christmas. I made quite a few of these and sent to the craft show. They were a huge hit for Easter & Halloween and i'm finding out now that they were a huge hit for Christmas too! I am working on more as they all sold for the first weekend on the show! This weekend is the last weekend of the craft show. My friend, Pam, who runs the craft show is closing her doors and going into retirement. I have been participating in her craft shows for 14 years and for the most part I have always done well there! While I am sad to see it end...I too am looking forward to having more time to enjoy the holidays! I'm always so rushed and I feel like I can never really enjoy it. Next year will be a whole new ballgame for me but like I told Pam....i'm ready!

So here is one of my Coffee Cup Carriers. I will share more as the month goes on....

Like I have said before, these carriers & cups are fun to make and quite easy too!

Happy Halloween 2016

Hello & Happy Monday!

Trick or Treat day has finally arrived!
Today is a fun filled day with Kelsey as we watch the Halloween movie marathon that is on the AMC channel all day! We've been doing this for the last several years leading up to Trick or Treat night!

However, I am going to need lots of this today....

Shawn's phone rang twice between 3-4 am so needless to say I was wide awake after the second call from work! Ughh! Hoping that several cups of coffee will keep me calm without getting too grouch. I will probably end up falling asleep while movie watching this afternoon. I was planning on doing some crafting while watching but i'm not sure I am up for multitasking after only sleeping for a few hours last night! Boo humbug, right?!

Today before I either fall sleep or the day gets away from me.....I wanted to share my little treat bags I whipped up for my gang.
Take a look....

I found these coffee style bags in my drawer that I picked up at Michael's several years ago. I love the Halloween colored dots on them! I was planning on using them for another project but I apparently never got to it! I diecut my tags and filled the bags with some yummy treats. I didn't do much else because I felt as though they were fine the way they were since everyone just wants whats inside anyways! LOL I do love that Impression Obsession Trick or Treat die!

Trick or Treat Bags:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black
Accessories: Trick or Treat Die from Impression Obsession, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If anything i'm sure my gang will enjoy the yummy treats inside!
Did you make any yummy Halloween treats this year?

My thoughts for today....

Most definitely!

That's all for me!
Movie time starts at 9am!
Thanks for popping in today!
Stay safe & have a Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat?

Hello & Happy Friday!

Any special weekend plans?

None here!
It's to be rainy, damp & cooler which will be a good excuse to hit my stamp table to wrap up another project i'm working on. I also hope that hubby & I can get out to walk sometime. I don't mind a few drops of rain...isn't that what they make umbrella's for??!  Going to have to start squeezing in our exercise on the weekends now that it is getting dark earlier in the evenings. By the time he gets home from work it's just about dark and all the parks close at dark time.

Anyways, there aren't many days now until Halloween. I whipped up this card the other day with a new die I grabbed at the Stamp Show last weekend.
Take a look....

Isn't that Trick or Treat die cool?
I saw it at the Impression Obsession stand and immediately snatched it up!
It cuts so smoothly! I love all their dies!

I had to pair it up with this Motley Monsters DSP because I am going to send this to my lady friend whom is always requesting this paper on her October cards. She will love it!
My words are diecut from Tangerine Tango cardstock and then I used a Basic Black scalloped circle under it and added some orange rhinestones for a pop of sparkle. My dsp is cut on a slant to let white space in between. This is where I placed my Basic Black/White & Tangerine Tango/White Baker's Twine and just tied a knot.

Trick or Treat Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Basic Black, Motley Monsters DSP
Accessories: Trick or Treat Die from Impression Obsession, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Basic Black/White Baker's Twine, Tangerine Tango/White Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another fun card!

My thoughts today......

Pretty soon the Trick or Treaters will be out in full force looking for all the yummy candy goodies they can get! I love Trick or Treat night!

That is all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fabulous Friday!

Weekend FUN & A Fall Card

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

What a weekend it was here!
I had a great time with my friend Deb Saturday at the Heirloom Stamp Show in York, PA.
We were very disappointed that half the usual vendors were not there this time. Neither one of us found what we went there looking for but we made the best of it and finished up with lunch at Chili's!

Saturday evening my hubby & I went to the Pumpkin Walk on the York Heritage Rail Trail. We went early to beat the crowds. They say they have 2000 people attend this from all over Pennsylvania & Maryland. This was our first year attending and I thought it was nice and the weather was even better! Part of the trail is lined up with decorated pumpkins for about half a mile on both sides. I'm sure it was probably awesome to go when it got dark and especially since it was full moon!

Here are a few pictures...

These little train cars are so cool. I've seen them & a bunch of other ones one Sunday afternoon Shawn & I were biking. I believe it's a club.

Shawn & I walking. There were lots of people!

Shawn & I...

This is part of the rail trail that was not decorated for the Pumpkin Walk so we walked a bit farther before dark time set in.

The pumpkins were carved by kids and adults and each had a little tealight inside so when it got dark the pumpkin lit up. This is all done for a fun family evening out to raise money for the York Heritage Rail Trail Authority so they can continue to build trails for the public to get out and enjoy.
We have come to love the York Heritage Rail Trail and try to get out and walk or bike it as much as we possibly can!

So now onto a card that I was inspired to create after my Pumpkin Walk Saturday.
I saw that the trees are changing colors and the leaves are starting to gently fall to the ground around here. Here is my card of falling leaves....

 Such pretty fall colors!

Falling Leaves Card:

Stamps: Impression Obsession
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Confetti Cream (retired), Early Espresso, The Paper Studio DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, Rhinestones, Dimensional, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts....

Most definitely get out there and find the beauty in every day!

That is all for me on the beautiful fall day!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!
