Falling For You

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone's been well.

My hubby got out of the hospital this past week. He spent 6 days in there the first time and 9 days the second time. 15 days total in the last 30 days. He had surgery to have a drain put in to drain the abscess and is doing pretty good. He will be happy when the drain comes out tomorrow! In the meantime he is healing and taking things one day at a time.

One day while Shawn was in the hospital and I was home, I ran down to my craft room and made a card to lift his spirits. Most of the time that he was in the hospital the weather was rainy, foggy & very dreary and it was certainly dragging his mood down too. This is the card I made him.

The inside says...You're my person!

The sentiments were perfect for what I wanted and it definitely perked up his spirits!

Update:

I just wanted to pop in and give an update.

My hubby was taken once again to the hospital with some complications from the Diverticulitis. He developed an abscess that needs to be watched closely.
He was re-admitted on Saturday and we've been taking things one day at a time.
Thru all of this his vitals have been good and he looks great! They are still pumping him with heavy duty antibiotics to get the infection under control and his white blood cell count is continuing to come down. The main goal here is to get everything healed and a few months down the road he will probably have surgery. The road is long and for him to rest is a key factor!
Diverticulitis is nothing to fool around with as we are finding out.

At this point & time i'm not sure when I will get back to any crafting.
My focus right now is on getting him well.
If you wouldn't mind...please say a little prayer for him....

Thank you!

Where Have I Been....

Hello & Happy Friday!

Happy New Year, everyone!

It's been over 2 weeks since I last posted.
My hubby ended up in the hospital for almost a week with a serious bout of Diverticulitis. He's had many Kidney Stones over the last 20 some years and also had Appendicitis but I have never seen him in this type of pain before. It was quite worrisome! Thankfully, he is better but still not 100 percent. Still on heavy duty antibiotics that are messing with his stomach as well as a strict diet. He's not enjoying the dieting part either but it's just until things heal. He will have to stay away from things like seeds, popcorn & nuts...all things he loves.
He will see the doctor Monday and we will go from there on what the next step will be.
There is so much to learn about this disease and I pray he doesn't have too many issues in the future.

I also needed a break from all the holiday crafting over the last several months. Shawn being hospitalized wasn't the way I would have liked to have had a break but that's the way it went.
Most of the time I have my blog posts scheduled a week in advance but once everything happened with him my blog posts were the last thing on my mind. My post today was a card that was made before Christmas and I planned on sharing before the New Year but it never happened. So today is the day!

I know I have said many times over that I have SO much in DSP that I must use up!
This paper is from last years 2016 Occasions Catalog called Have A Cuppa. I love the heart print on this sheet and could easily be used for Valentine's Day too!
