A Touch of Ink

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

Hope that your weekend is off to a great start!
I am headed to my stamp table to work on some Fall card kits for my next Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. I promised some pretty Fall cards! You would never know that Fall is around the corner as hot & humid as it is outside. I always say the humidity feels heavy when we have dewpoints in the 70's.

Anyways, today I am sharing the 2nd card from Thursday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. I always try to have a sympathy card made because we usually always need them at some point. This card I created a long time ago and finally decided to pull it out and make this with the girls. It uses an oldie but goodie set called A Touch of Ink.

Card Details:

Stamps: A Touch of Ink (retired SAB 2021), Woven Heirlooms (retired)
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Basic White
Accessories: Tasteful Textiles 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Misty Moonlight In Color Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love these 2 color of blues together, so pretty!

This card came together in less than 10 minutes since I always have all the diecuts ready. All the girls have to do is stamp and adhere.

Hope You Know

 Happy Saturday, Friends!

Sharing a quick card that I made recently using the retired Regal Flora Bundle that was available in the Stampin Up 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm not sure if this is still available on the Last Chance List but worth looking into!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hope You Know (retired), Regal Flora (retired)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat (retired In Color)
Cardstock: Wild Wheat (retired In Color), Basic White, Pretty Peacock, Regal Winter DSP (retired)
Accessories: Regal Flora Dies (retired), Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Exposed Brick 3D EF, Low Profile Gold Dots (Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Wild Wheat is now retired but it was an odd color although it always looked great paired with another color. I purchased this suite of products last year but never really had much of a chance to ink it up. I have enjoyed pulling it out and playing with it recently. I also made a wedding card for Audrey with it the same day as I made this card. What a difference it makes when you change it out to soft, pastel colors!

Today my hubby is out fishing on the Juanita River for the day so I am taking advantage of it and planning the day at my stamp table. Audrey requested 2 more packs of cards using the Simply Zinnia Suite from last year. They are already started and need finished up before I can move on. We shall see what the day brings! LOL The weather is to be another 10+!

Sending Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello & Happy Monday, Friends!

I hope that you had a chance to get out & enjoy the beautiful weather we had over the weekend! It truly was a 10+ here in Pennsylvania!

Today I am sharing card #3 from July's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This one was made using a variety of Stampin Up! products. Some are new, some are retired and those are the kind of cards I love to create! The girls love a variety of cards when they come to Stamp Day so I always try to have a sympathy card designed for them to make. This one I absolutely love!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sending Support (retired Online Exclusive), Country Flowers (sentiment inside), Painted Perennial (retired inside)
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat (retired)
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat (retired), Basic White, Thoughtful Journey DSP
Accessories: Exposed Brick 3D EF, More Messages Die (Online Exclusives), Everyday Arches Dies (Online Exclusives), Adhesive Backed Trio Sequins (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Again, I had everything diecut for the girls, all they had to do was stamp and adhere their cards together. This makes things go much quicker.

Seasonal Sprays Sympathy

Good Morning & Happy Monday, Friends!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Yesterday turned out to be rainy & dreary out so I spent most of the day at my stamp table playing with some Christmas cards! Yep, I know, way to early to be thinking of Christmas but I went to my stamp table thinking...what am I gonna make today?! I seen a Christmas card that inspired me so that was the route I took! LOL

So, I'm not sharing a Christmas card today but I am sharing a Sympathy card that I was inspired by from a very old (2000-2001) Stampin Up Annual Catalog. I pulled out the lovely (retired) Seasonal Sprays wood mounted stamp set and got busy!

Card Details:

Stamps: Seasonal Sprays (retired), Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired), Weathered Background Stamp (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue (retired)
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bordering Blue (retired), Basic White, Gold Foil Paper
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Something Fancy Dies (retired), Gold Trim, Pressed Flowers Gold Dots, Glue Dots, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I love casing a card and changing things up to make it my own. I get so easily inspired by the catalog samples so always make sure to use your catalogs as a source of inspiration! I was also thrilled that I still have a good bit of Bordering Blue cardstock left & a very inky ink pad! It was a great day of stamping!

This card has been added to my bin of cards that I am working on. It's not often I have time for card making for myself but when I do I try to get cards made that I know are good sellers. I also like to take a variety of different cards and place them in a cello bag with envelopes and gift them to people. Audrey loves when I do that for her as a little Thank You.

Anyways, I am back to my stamp table today for some inky fun!
I really need to get working on July 4th cards since that will be here before we know it!

With Sympathy, Card #2 @ Stamp Day

 Hello & Happy Thursday, Friends!

I am off to a late start this morning and then I have a 3pm dentist appointment for a cleaning this afternoon. Haven't even decided yet what to have for supper but Shawn was suggesting supper at the Franklin Street Social again.

Today I have the 2nd card from last month's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This card was a quick and easy one since I had all the diecuts done for the girls. All they had to do was stamp and put it together. I chose to do a sympathy card because they like having a variety and unfortunately, it's an occasion we always need.

Card Details:

Stamps: Something Fancy
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Thoughtful Journey DSP
Accessories: In The Grove Dies, Everyday Details Dies, White Sequins, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The In The Grove Dies are amazing and diecuts so nicely! I must remember to use it more for masculine cards, too!

Mixed Labels Sympathy

Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

We are starting off this Friday with lots of nice sunshine but it is quite cold out & windy, too! This weekend we change the clocks again. Not sure what good this does other than wreck our schedules (especially our pets!). I'm hoping one day we do away with it. What are your thoughts on the time change? I know not all states in the US do time change.

Today I have a set of sympathy cards to show you that I made with a new suite of products from the Stampin Up Online Exclusives list. Of course, these products have been available since I believe January 2025 but I only recently grabbed them. I made up a pack of sympathy cards for on the card rack with it. Take a look...

Card Details:

Stamps: Mixed Labels (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Shy Shamrock. Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Petal Pink
Cardstock: Shy Shamrock, Petal Pink, Basic White, Mixed Media Florals DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Mixed Labels Dies, Plaster Painting 3D EF (Online Exclusives), Petal Pink Scalloped Ribbon, Low Profile Dots (Online Exclusives), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wasn't quite sure what I thought about Shy Shamrock which is a new In Color this year (2024-2026). I do think it is growing on me and I do think that using DSP with that color in helps, too! I think the Petal Pink also helps to tone it down a bit. I love the outcome of these cards especially the Mixed Labels Dies!

This pack of 5 is going on my card rack "for sale". I left the inside blank as some people like to write their own message in. I can also stamp a sentiment inside if someone is interested in them. For me personally, I am not good with words so I would have to stamp something inside. LOL

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a wonderful day!

Brighter Tomorrow

Good Morning & Happy Monday!

My, oh my, did those winds ever kick in yesterday right around supper time. We did manage to get a walk in around the neighborhood before it poured buckets. It got in the upper 40's which wasn't too bad. Today we will be lucky to get out of the low 30's. Burrr!

Today I have a pretty sympathy card to show you that I pretty much left the paper do all the work. I used the Fresh As A Daisy DSP and this pretty print from that pack. This pack is also retired. The Basic White layer is embossed with the very cool, Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder. I added some retired Wild Wheat ribbon & dots to use this stuff up...

Card Details:

Stamps: Brighter Tomorrow (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Wild Wheat, Basic White, Fresh As A Daisy DSP (retired)
Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies, Dashing Designs 3D EF, Wild Wheat Ribbon (retired), Linen Thread, Wild Wheat In Color Dots (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another card that went on my card rack For Sale.

Today I will be at my stamp table working on Audrey's order. Not sure when I will be able to get it delivered to her, maybe one evening next week. I am half way thru getting it done. She said she was in no hurry for it. Also have to see what Mother Nature is going to throw at us this week! LOL

Sympathy Card for Customer

 Good Sunday Morning, Friends!

Hope your having a nice weekend! It's a rainy morning here and we are under a high wind warning for some really gusty winds that are to start around noon and last into Monday. I am staying put inside today and getting Audrey's card order started. Yesterday we ran a few errands in the morning and then ran up to the restaurant for a quick supper. All this bad weather is keeping people at home. Kelsey said it's been very slow.

Today I am sharing a card I made at the request of Kelsey for a customer at the restaurant that recently passed away. His wife still comes in to eat quite often and Kels thought it would be a nice gesture to take up a collection for her and get a gift card to give her with the card. She asked for the sympathy card to have an old car on it because the old cars were this man's passion & hobby. This is what I made for her...

Card Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts Sentiment
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Basic White, He's The Man DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Cajun Craze Twine (retired), Rustic Metallic Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She had all the people that work there sign the card. I'm not sure how much was collected but I am so happy to see her doing for others. In that line of work she is always telling me different stories about the people that come in. She is such a friendly person & very talkative too! She must get that from her Dad! LOL

That's the advice I tell Kelsey all the time.

Winterly Sympathy Set

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

Our Baltimore Ravens won yesterday and they also won the AFC Championship!
It was such a good game but I could barely keep my eyes open. I spent most of the day working on my calendars and stopped once the game started. I was so glad to walk away from my table to relax! Shawn made a big pot of beef barley soup which was so good and there was alot of leftovers that got put into individual containers and put in the freezer for another very cold day! This weekend is a very cold one and soup was perfect!

Today I have a quick set of Sympathy cards to share with you that I made for Audrey's last card order. I pulled out my Nests of Winter DSP and got busy!

Card Details:

Stamps: Simply Sketched (retired)
Ink: Gray Granite
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Basic White, Nests of Winter DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Audrey likes her cards plain, no ribbon and no embellishments and that is exactly what she got with this set! It's always nice when the paper does all the work and she loved them.

The weather people are calling for snow later today into tomorrow. Not sure how much we will get. We got a good coating on Friday which made the roads like ice rinks! This extreme cold and snow makes for treacherous driving. Our driveway is a sheet of ice where the sun does not hit it. Shawn has the snow blower & shovels ready! Since Monday is a snow day I will get the chance to finish my calendars! I do see light at the end of the tunnel!

Flight & Airy Sympathy

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!!!

Hope your day is going well!
I'm alittle late to post today and I do not have any excuses other than the day got away from me. I usually do it first thing in the morning but I got up and was doing things around the house and just forgot. We are expecting some light snow this afternoon into the evening and I just hope that it doesn't get too bad as I am doing a Sam's Club trip this evening. I have been putting it off for about a week! It also got really cold out which I am not a fan of. There most likely won't be any walks for Shawn & I until it warms up some. Low 20's for our high's is a bit unbearable to be outside in.
So, I have a card to share that I made for my friend's card order last month. I loved how easy this one was because the paper does all the work. I used a retired stamp set called Inspired Thoughts for the sentiment.

Card Details:

Stamps: Inspired Thoughts (retired)
Ink: Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Basic White, Flight & Airy DSP (retired-SAB 240
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Perennial Postage Dies, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Quick & easy because of the papers!
I love this pack of paper from last year's SaleABRation offerings and I must remember to use it more often.

******************************
My thoughts today...

I'm not excited about the snow today and I know they are calling for more on Sunday/Monday. I only love snow during the Christmas season because it just sets the feeling of the holidays. Today I can take it or leave it! What's your thoughts on snow?

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the day!

With Sympathy

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

So sorry for not updating yesterday. Tuesday evening we had to take the living room furniture down to the family room since the new furniture was scheduled to come on Wednesday.
While we were downstairs we noticed the boiler/furnace was leaking water. I had a feeling something was wrong because on Monday I had heat turned on downstairs and it was quite cold down there. The mornings have been quite chilly/frosty lately and with this injection I am cold 90% of the time. I just did not think anything of it because the daytime temps have been hitting mid 70's. Once we saw the water leaking I knew something was off. So, yesterday the guy came that Shawn uses at work for HVAC stuff and had us back in business within 20 minutes. YAY! We have heat again! Oh, and the living room furniture is so nice! This is my second set of Lazy Boy furniture and it's just so well built and comfortable! Here is to another 20 years! LOL

Today, Shawn is back to work and I am set to watch 2 good Hallmark Christmas movies this morning then get some crafting done....at least that's the plan!
I wanted to share a card from World Cardmaking Day with you that the girls & I made. It was another quick & easy one!

Card Details:

Stamps: Lasting Lily (retired), Autumn Leaves (Million Dollar Sales Achiever Set)
Ink: Pecan Pie
Cardstock: Pecan Pie, Basic White, Iconic Celebrations DSP (Online Exclusives), Oxidized Copper Specialty Paper
Accessories: Autumn Leaves Dies, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Guess I better get my butt moving....lots to do today!

With Sympathy

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

One last rainy day here and then hopefully the sun will make an appearance!
They say it's going to feel like Fall!

Yesterday sure was a day.
Shawn's boss had a medical emergency at work so we're hoping he will be ok! I think it rattled Shawn a bit and I feel the same. He's a super nice guy and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need.
I got Audrey's card order all finished and ready to deliver to her this evening. I will work on pricing the Halloween treats today so she has a price list. I did not make too much this year.
One thing on her list that she asked for was a pack of Sympathy cards.
This is what I made for her...

Card Details:

Stamps: Kindest Expressions
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Perennial Lavender DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were quick & easy to create for Audrey and they are flat for easy mailing!

I'm looking forward to seeing her this evening! I'm hoping her shingles are getting better!
