Happy 90th Birthday

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

If your on the east coast I hope your staying warm & dry as we are in for another day of rain.
I feel like a broken record but we've had so much rain in the last month or so. The grass has been growing like crazy and Shawn tries to get out to mow as much as the weather allows. I know in about 2 months it will be the complete opposite....hot & dry! Sometimes ya just can win against Mother Nature.

Today I have yet another personalized birthday card for Audrey's friend, Janet, whom is turning 90. Let me tell you a sad story before I get to sharing the card. When Audrey called and ordered this card she went on to tell me that this lady's husband had just passed away in a farming accident about 2 weeks ago. I remembered reading the story online in a news article. My heart sank. How terrible. But because they are farming people she wanted something with veggies on. I went in search of some paper and found the perfect piece! This is what I made for her.

Card Details:

Stamps: Memorable Moments (retired)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Very Vanilla, Farmer's Market DSP (retired)
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits (retired), Blackberry Bliss Ribbon (retired), Mossy Meadow Dots (retired , Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Audrey was just SO happy with this card and called to say how much she appreciates all the work I put into her orders. She said that Janet will love this card! I do, too! I think it's the colors & print on the papers. I did have a dot of glue on my sentiment panel which the adhesive eraser took off after my pictures were taken. LOL I was rushing to get finished.

Since we are in for another rainy, dreary day I am planning the afternoon at my stamp table.
Audrey already asked for another pack of Zinnia cards! I'm happy to get them started! Atleast it will be sunny & bright in my stamp room once I pull that pack of paper out! LOL
Whatever you do on this rainy day, make it fun!

Happy 70th Birthday!

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another rainy day here in PA!
Yesterday turned out to be a nice one for a change.
Shawn got his doctor appointment in. We were there for quite a bit because he needed to get blood drawn and his ears flushed. Wearing ear plugs at work always clogs the wax up and he usually knows when they need cleaned. After that we did a quick supper at the restaurant and back home in time to get Miss Bailee out for a walk. It was a nice evening!

Today I have another one of Audrey's requests to share for a lady that was turning 70.
I pulled out lots of floral stuff when making these personalized cards and some long retired things!

Card Details:

Stamps: Memorable Moments (retired)
Ink: Calypso Coral, Garden Green
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Basic White, Garden Walk DSP (retired)
Accessories: Perennial Postage Dies, Lots of Labels Framelits (retired), White Organdy Glittered Ribbon (retired), Calypso Coral Enamel Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My cards usually have a mix of old & new together and I was pleased with how it turned out.

Happy Anniversary

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing card # 4 from my recent Stamp Day w/ Friends event.
I always ask if there is a special occasion that they need a card for but they usually tell me all occasion. So today I am sharing the Anniversary card we made. It uses everything retired.

Such pretty colors on this one especially for the summer months.
I love pulling out the old stuff and breathing new life into it and the girls really liked this one.

Card Details:

Stamps: Many Mates (retired)
Ink: Watermelon Wonder (retired)
Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach (retired), Pale Papaya (retired), Watermelon Wonder (retired), Basic White, Fruit Stand DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Lots of Labels Framelits (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Daffodil Delight Ruched Rinbbon (retired), Pale Papaya Dots, (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Lots of oldies but goodies!

Update on Vicki:

I talked to her hubby last evening and they are hoping Vicki gets discharged today!
She has been doing so well and if all looks ok when the doctor stops to see her she will be on her way home! I did not talk to him for long as he was getting ready to help her out of bed so I don't know if her swelling has gone down but I do know she is going home with the trach & feeding tube. I assume just until the swelling goes down in her face. I hope tomorrow to have another update on her but in the meantime please continue to keep her in your prayers. The first part of her cancer journey was surgery and once she is healed she will more than likely start the second part of chemo & radiation.

Thinking of You

Hello & Happy Saturday!

So glad the weekend is upon us!
We had some rain & thunderstorms last evening.
Gigi had her Thunder Jacket on which seems to be really helping her as far as loud noises and beeps are concerned. Thankfully I was home from doctor appointment before they started!
I had my doctor appointment in which was a very good one with my Dermatologist.
I jinxed myself yesterday saying that I have not had any new spots/plaques. I found one on my neck/shoulder after my shower. Doctor told me that I can get them at any time or place. As soon as I find them I am to start getting the heavy duty ointment on them. I have a huge spot/plaque on the back of my one leg. It's been there for a very long time and I swear it gets bigger everyday. He told me to put ointment on it everyday and at night time to cover it with Saran Wrap to help keep it moisturized which will help get rid of the scales.
This is a whole new ballgame for me and i'm sure I have lots to learn!
I have a really nice doctor there, always happy to answer any questions and offer suggestions.
Also suggested I get ready for the winter months as that is when psoriasis usually rears it's ugly head!
All in all he was pleased with my progress and said he'd see me back in 6 months!

Anyways, today hubby & I are going to head out and grab some groceries and hit up the local farm stand to get some locally grown veggies!
I do want to share a set of cards I made for my customer last week.
She loves her Thinking of You cards....

When she asked for Thinking of You cards I really wanted to use a different stamp set but because she suggested I use the Friendships Sweetest Thought set that is why I used this set.
She wanted the little bird on top colored red for a cardinal and I tried several times to color the entire image and make the bird red....I just could not do it. The images are way too small and I could not for the life of me get the ink inside the lines. After 3 times I said...nope not today and just stamped my image in Real Red ink and called it done.

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Friendships Sweetest Thoughts (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Real Red DSP (retired)
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits (retired), Washi Label Punch (retired), Real Red 1/8 Grosgrain Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She always tells me not to stress over her cards but I do.
She loved them!
Guess that is all that matters!

Daisy Delight

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

A nice day is on tap!
This morning it's a bit chilly out but they say we are going to get up to the mid 70's later on!
I WILL TAKE IT!

Today I am expecting my first order from the new catalog!
It has a few stamp sets in it with some supplies that we were not able to order on our pre-orders. The one set that caught my eye was called Healing Hugs. It's a new line of stamps called Distinktive and that means the stamps are more detailed, almost a 3D affect. I'm anxious for that to come!

So today, I am sharing a card we made at our stamp get together last weekend using the Daisy Delight set. I had this card created before the Delightfully Daisy DSP retired. I ordered 2 packs of it in the last year so I would like to continue using it up!

The paper really makes the whole card stand out and then with the Daisy on top it just makes it look a bit more realistic. Daisy Delight has carried over to the new catalog and is one fantastic set!
My sentiment comes from the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Daisy Delight, Happy Birthday, Gorgeous (sentiment)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White, Delightful Daisy DSP (retired)
Accessories: Daisy Punch, Lots of Labels Framelits (retired), 1/2 Circle Punch, Old Olive Glittered Enamel Dot, Dimensional, Tombow Liquid Glue

This card will definitely bring a smile to someone's face even if it's a rainy day!
The colors just make me happy!

Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Halfway thru the week!
2 more days till the holiday weekend arrives!
I'm looking forward to doing some things around the house (nothing strenuous), grilling and just relaxing! Not sure if we will get the bikes out or not since they are calling for summer like weather (hot & humid) but we'll see.

Today I have a cute set of cards to share that was made last week for a card order.
These use a set from the Occasions Mini Catalog that will be retiring come next Thursday, May 31st. It is called Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts.

Card Details:

Stamps: Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Petal Garden DSP
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits, Pool Party Twine, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was drawn to this set as soon as I seen it and have used the sentiment quite a bit on other cards but never used the main image. It was fun to color with my Copics since I do not have the Stampin Blends, yet! They are on my list to order once they become available again! Anyways, I just love that little cart full of beautiful flowers! I know this set will be retiring but I will be using it alot more in the future! It has that perfect spring-summer look to it and who does not like flowers?!!
I'm pretty sure these will brighten up someone's day and that makes me happy!

Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I have another card to share that I made on Saturday with my friends!
The theme was Fall/Thanksgiving....

I chose this pumpkin outline die from the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlit Dies because I loved how simple it is! I had a bit of a time getting it out of the die but that's another story!
The girls liked this one because it was easy to put together. I like the pops of gold from the twine and the enamel dots.

Patterned Pumpkins Card:

Stamps: Bounty Of The Season (Amuse)
Ink: Basic Black
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Spooky Night DSP
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits,  Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits, Gold Twine, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The inside says Happy Thanksgiving!

A Halloween Z-Fold

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Up and at it early this morning!
Hope your having a great weekend!

The Baltimore Ravens football game is on at 9 this morning since they are playing across the pond in London. Guess we'll be eating breakfast while rooting for our team!

Today I want to share a Halloween card set that again was made for my customer.
She doesn't want anything scary so this is what I came up with for her.

For my sweet little pumpkin I used the September 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit. There are some cute stamps in that kit that I love and I have been using them for different projects. The sentiment comes from that same set!

Halloween Z- Fold Card Set:

Stamps: Something Good to Eat (Paper Pumpkin Kit Sept 2016)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Spooky Night DSP
Accessories: Lots of Labels Framelits, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love the Z-Fold style of cards and there is quite a few different ways to make these. Another card I enjoy making is the Gate Fold. Haven't made one of those in awhile and might have to change that!

My thoughts today....

Well this is not really true, I don't like winter and I could do without the humidity of summer!
How bout you?

That is all for me on this Sunday morning!
Hope you have a wonderful day & as always, thanks for stopping by!

Everythings Coming Up Peaches Today....

Hello & Happy Thursday!

As hot & humid as it's been I have been spending alot of time in my craft room this week.
After I take a break from stamping I find that once I get back to it that I have a hard time getting started. Once I get back at it then i'm usually on a roll. That is how things have gone this week!
Yesterday I spent most of the day stamping.
I have a pack of cards to share today that I made for a gift.

I snagged another pack of the Fruit Stand DSP off the Retiring List before it was gone forever. I love the summery prints in this paper and quite frankly, I was not sure I could live without! LOL
I decided to make a set up for a nice gift of all occasion cards and I will either make a box or package them up in a cello bag and make it fancy to give away.

All Occasion Card Set:

Stamps: Fresh Fruit, Warmest Regards
Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Fruit Stand DSP
Accessories: Brick Wall EF, Lots of Labels Framelits, Peachaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
