Merry Monday Challenge 190

Hello & Happy Monday!

Time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday!
Kathy is our hostess this week and she has an awesome challenge for us!

Sadly, I do not have many Santa stamps in my collection so I pulled out a retired stamp set called, Jolly Old Saint Nick and used this awfully cute Santa Claus stamp. He's quite easy to color and I usually add glitter to his hat but this time I left it stand on it's own. I stamped my Ho Ho Ho from the Oh What Fun set from the Holiday Mini 2015-16. The paper is from Merry Moments DSP pack which was one of my favorites this past year!

Merry Monday Challenge 190 Card:

Stamps: Jolly Old Saint Nick (retired), Oh What Fun (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Real Red Ribbon, Hexagon Punch (flag ends on tag), 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to get some inspiration from the other ladies! Always SO many great cards & idea's!

That's all from me today!
Thank you for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week # 26

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a good weekend!
My family & I went on a road trip back out to Joplin, Missouri for a few days. We lived here for a year last year and moved back home in September. We wanted to return to Joplin a year later to see how things have changed since the deadly tornado went thru and tore the town apart. We also planned to see some friends while there too! Vicki Burdick & I keep in close contact everyday so it has been wonderful to see and spend some time with her!
By the time this post goes live, we will be half way back to PA.

So, this week Lesley from over at Playing With Paper gave us another very easy, simple sketch! This is what I love about this....the sketches are easy peasy! Below is her layout & my samples....

Merry Monday Week 26 Card:

Stamps: Jolly St Nick, Pictograms
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, Neenah White, Silver Glitter Paper
Accessories: SU Snow Burst EF, Ribbon, Glue Pen, Glitter, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Another quick & easy card for the Christmas card pile! I love it!
Hope you find some time to play along this week!

Well, that is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Santa Pocket Card

Hello & Happy Thursday!!

Hope you all had a great day!
I made my way to my stamp room to make something for me for a change! I checked the challenge on SCS and it wasn't calling my name so I did not participate. Instead, I made a pocket card with a Santa image from my box. I will need tons of Christmas cards come the end of the year so it won't hurt to get workin on them. I absolutely love Christmas and enjoy making cards for it!

Pocket cards are so easy to make and this past year I started using them to attach a gift card. On this card I used some scraps of Holiday Treasures DSP along with some Riding Hood Red & Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used my 2 Tags Die from Stampin Up for the tag that pulls out of the pocket and added my sentiment that I cut out with my Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilties, Lastly, I added Riding Hood Red Grosgrain and some glitter to my Santa's hat.

Santa Pocket Card:

Stamps: Jolly Ole St Nick
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, PTI White, Holiday Treasures DSP
Accessories: 2 Tags Die, Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, Riding Hood Red Grosgrain, Hot Glue, Kaiser Red Beads, Glue Pen, Ultrafine Glitter, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Before I go, I want to give another shout out to my sweet little doggie, Fluffy on her 14th birthday today! Also my stamp girl, Deb R is celebrating her birthday too! Happy Birthday to both of them! :)

Well, that is all for tonight!
Watching some tv and heading off to bed shortly!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!

Ways To Use It Challenge 334

Hello & Happy Thursday!

The Ways to Use It Challenge today is to Love Your Kraft! Kraft or Crumb Cake that is!
I have found myself using Kraft/Crumb Cake more this past year than ever before! I do believe it has grown on me! LOL
So, today I used it for another Christmas card. Surprising, huh? lol

Ways to Use It Challenge 334 Card:

Stamps: Jolly St. Nick (set #96)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Kraft/Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, PTI White
Accessories: Square & Lacey Square Nestibilities, Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Felt Snowflake, Silver Beads, Scor Tape

I love the Kraft/Crumb Cake & Night of Navy together! It's a pretty color combo!

Well, that's all for me for now!
Again, i'm very tired today. Our weather radio went off about 3:30 this morning for Severe Thunderstorms and all we got was more thunder & lightening....NO rain! I really do believe that we have this big bubble over us that is the no rain zone. Every chance we get for rain it either goes north, south or east of us.....skips right over Joplin and we so badly need it!

Ok, i'm done venting and think maybe I should go back to bed. Maybe i'm just a tad grouchy today! LOL
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day, friends!

6 Days till Christmas!

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

I'm up and at'em too early here on a Sunday morning but I have a few things on my stamp table that I wanted to get finished up before I get my day started with a good cleaning! Before I show you one of the things I needed to get done, I would like to share a Christmas RAK from one of my stamp girls back home. Cinda is our artsy fartsy girl of the group....as we call her! hehe She loves the vintage/antique stuff with lots of glitter and shiney things and this chipboard Christmas tree she sent me is so cute!

I don't know what she used to make it but I love all the glitter & brads on this. It will be displayed in my stamp room for a very long time, Cinda! I love it! Thank you!!!

So yesterday I spent too much time searching SCS for a gift card holder with directions. I knew what I was looking for but couldn't find it. Then this morning I seen the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and that was it! Below is the sketch layout & my samples. Take a look....

It all fell into place for me once I seen the sketch this morning! 1 down, 2 more to go! LOL I love this Santa image from the SU set called Jolly St. Nick from the Holiday Mini. The images stamp so nice and are super easy to color! Oppsie, I did forget to add my glitter to my Santa hat! LOL I must not be quite awake yet! I'll have to do that before I package this cutie up! This is for a special friend back home that reminds me of Santa! hehe Any guesses as to who it is??

SSSC#97 Card:

Stamps: Jolly St. Nick, Sentiment from Hero Arts
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Real Red, PTI White, Pretty in Pink, DSP from SU
Accessories: Scallop & Circle Punches, Scallop Border Punch, Sm Snowflake Punch, REd Rhinestones from Micheal's, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me today! It's cleaning day....*sigh*! Not fun but someone's gotta do it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Holidays!

Color Challenge 299

Hello there!

Happy Tuesday to you!!

Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS and the colors are:
Real Red, Old Olive & River Rock. Luckily I still have a pack of SU's DSP called Dashing that has all these colors in it so I went from there. I pulled out some images from Deb K. of the cute set out of the Holiday Mini called Jolly St. Nick. (Thanks Deb!) I so love that set because the images are so fun to color!

My card base is River Rock with a layer of Old Olive and a piece of Dashing DSP that was ran thru the Cuttlebug with my Snowflakes Embossing Folder. I lightly sanded it so you could see the snowflakes. I added my Santa image after I ran it thru the Cuttlebug with my Rectangle Nestibilites with a layer of Scallop Nestibilities. My Santa was colored with Copic Markers and I added some glitter to his hat. The sentiment was run thru the Cuttlebug as well with the Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilities and added with some dimensionals over the River Rock ribbon. My bow is attached with Glue Dots. Lastly, I added 3 Red Kaiser Pearls for alittle bling. A quick and fun card to make! I'm thinking of making a treat bag to go with it if my stamp room would warm up some. It's pretty cold here today....burrrrrrr!

Color Challenge Card 299:

Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval and Rectangle & Scallop Rectangle Nestibilities, Snowflakes Embossing Folder, Sanding Block, Glue Pen, Ultrafine Glitter, Kaiser Red Pearls, River Rock Grosgrain, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
I need to go warm up so hopefully a cup of hot chocolate will do the trick! Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!!
