Light the Year

 Hello & Happy Monday, Friends!

It's the 1st of December and we are still sharing all things Christmas here!

My card today is made with a bundle from last year called Light the Year.

 I paired my pretty lantern with some retired Plaid Tidings DSP.

Card Details:

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Memento Black, Shaded Spruce, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Basic White, Plaid Tidings DSP (retired)

Accessories: Countryside Corners Dies (retired), Light the Year Dies (retired), Holiday Rhinestones (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love how this turned out and it was fun to use that stamp set again. 

I think I only used it once last year!

A Wish For Everything

The last couple of weeks I have been working ahead on all the holiday things that are coming. Today's card is a Thanksgiving card that I made with lots of retired Stampin Up! products. I tend to jump back & forth with using new stuff and then using up what's in my stash. This card uses a retired set called A Wish For Everything and a wood mounted background stamp called Linen. I paired them with some All About Autumn DSP that is also retired to make a pretty card!

Cardstock: Copper Clay (retired), Very Vanilla, Copper Foil Paper, Oxidized Copper Foil (retired), All About Autumn DSP (retired)

Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Autumn Leaves Dies (retired), Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins (retired), Linen Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Love how this one turned out! My card doesn't use anything new except for the inside sentiment and that is perfectly fine. I'm thrilled to be using what's in my stash and to be able to send someone a holiday card to know they are thought of.

Happy November!

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

Happy November 1st!

We made it thru trick or treat night with only 12 kids! It was bitterly cold out and those winds were howling! We sat outside for an hour then decided to call it a night. Then I started to pack up some of my inside Halloween decorations. It's such a busy time of the year with 3 holidays directly in a row and with Halloween being over it's time today to move on to my Thanksgiving decorations! I also have a Thanksgiving card to share with you!

Happy Thanksgiving

 Hello & Happy Wednesday, Friends!

The week seems to be flying by! I've been trying to stay focused & busy but at the same time I am still struggling coming to terms with the loss of Mr. Shady. I've tried being encouraging with Kelsey the whole time she has been caring for him all the while having that deep down feeling in my stomach that he was not going to get any better. Our pets are only here on earth for a short time which is the hardest part. They bring so much joy until that very last day. 

Kelsey is still struggling with the loss as well but she did get herself a new puppy last week. Another Jack Russell Terrier boy puppy that she named Sushi. It is keeping her mind busy but she still has her moments when the thought of Shady being gone hits. I have not met the new puppy yet and maybe that is what I need to do to move forward. 

One day at a time...

Last evening I got Audrey's card order delivered to her. I walked into her dining room and that is where we usually sit to look at the cards and talk but her table was covered with tons and I mean TONS of birthday cards! Last Friday she turned 95 years young and she was certainly blessed with MANY wishes! She had her cancer treatment last Thursday then Friday & Saturday was loaded with lots of visits from friends & family. She is certainly a very blessed woman inside & out and I am honored to know her.

Today I have a card to share that I made for Thanksgiving. I am trying to get ahead so I have cards to send out. I said I feel like I am stuck in the mud so if I can get some cards made for upcoming holidays I will be happy! This card uses most things retired because we all have retired things, right?

The All About Autumn DSP was out 2 years ago and was a fan favorite by everyone. I had 2 or 3 packages of it that I will be working on using up in the future. It's probably one of the most gorgeous Fall papers that Stampin Up! has ever had. I guess you can say that Copper Foil in it is what drew me to it. I love the pop of shine!
