Merry Monday Challenge #172

Time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday! This week we are "Watercoloring" on our Christmas cards! Such a fun challenge! Our fellow Merry Maker, Katie chose this challenge before she stepped down from the design team a few weeks ago. We decided to honor her with continuing on with her terrific challenge! This is for you, Katie!

I just have to say that I love this card but watercoloring has never been my forte! When I lived in Missouri a few years back, my dear friend Vicki Burdick gave me a watercoloring class and I tried to remember some of the things she taught me when coloring up this image. I hope I made her proud!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #22

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope you all had a nice Memorial Day!

We had a pretty decent weekend for a change. Since we were dealing with the loss of losing Fluffy last week, Shawn was also dealing with pain from having 2 more kidney stones. Our house was so somber & sad last week. Thankfully, Thursday evening & Friday morning he passed them. We had talked of taking a trip out to Joplin this past weekend but with his pain we just put it on hold a few more weeks.

So, last week with the loss of Fluffy, I asked Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper if I could take a week off from participating on the Merry Monday Challenge. My heart just wasn't into doing any stamping. Yesterday, I finally made my way back downstairs and started to do some stamping. My heart & mind were telling me it was time to get back at it. Since I did not do a card along with the other fabulous Merry Makers, I thought i'd try to atleast play along so I could have all 22 cards made!

Color Challenge 346

Hello & Happy Tuesday!!

Hope your all doing well. Alot has been going on and some may know and some may not. We made the move back to Pennsylvania back in September and had settlement on our new house a week and a half ago! Can't tell you how excited we are to be back home with family & friends! Things are finally in place. Most boxes have been unpacked and today I decided I needed to get back to my stamping!

So since it's Color Challenge day over at SCS I wanted to play along. The colors are:
Baja Breeze, Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry.
I love these colors together and used them on a Christmas card.

I used this super cute snowman from the SU set called Snow Much Fun and the new embossing folder called Snow Burst.

This is a Stampin Up Decor Elements Sticker that I purchased for my living room. Every time I walk past it I stop and smile! :)

Sketch Challenge 337

Hello & Happy Wednesday, friends!

Today is Sketch Challenge day over at SCS. It's one of my favorite challenges! I used a Stampin Up set for today's card but it's not one I own, atleast not yet! A friend left me borrow it to stamp a few images off and today's sketch fit it perfectly! It is a new set that will be available in the new Stampin Up catty which will be available July 1st.
