Halloween Chocolate Sticks

Hello & Happy Friday!

Our weather is to be sunny today but with much cooler temps!
I don't know about you but I am thrilled that I do not have to run my ac.

Yesterday I got the last of my customers order done!
I am very happy about that even though my hands are not.
All I have on my agenda today is to do inventory of my Halloween treats before they get delivered.

Today I have another Halloween treat to share.
Y'all know how much I love making the M&M Sticks, right?

I have been looking high and low for Halloween colored M&M's.
The year I moved to Missouri (2010) was the last year that I have seen M&M's in Halloween colors (purple, black, green & orange). I even looked on their websight but nothing.
So, I was in Party City recently and found chocolate candy there that resembled M&M's and they came in Halloween colors. I took a chance and bought some. I made up 40 chocolate sticks with them. Alot of people love the M&M Sticks and they usually sell like hotcakes. I am anxious to see if these will sell just the same. They taste just like M&M's so we shall see.
Here is what I made....

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Sweets (sentiment), retired Paper Pumpkin (pumpkin)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Basic Black
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Hole Punch, 1x8 Cello Bags, Basic Black Twine, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

What do you think of the colors of my candies?
I was SO happy with them!
And that pumpkin just makes me smile!

Spooky Halloween

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Up bright and early this morning to get crackin on a huge card order.
I'm not sure I will have it done by the end of the week but I will certainly try!
It's another humid day here. A big cold front is coming though!
By Friday we could see some really cool air moving in and I mean 25-30 degrees cooler!
I am hoping it will be time to take the ac's out for the season!

Today I have one last card to share that we made last Saturday at World Cardmaking Day.
This one we used the Stamparatus on for the Buffalo Check background stamp.
Take a look....

First, we stamped the Buffalo Check on Pumpkin Pie cardstock with Basic Black Archival Ink then with another plate on the Stamparatus, we stamped the tree on the Very Vanilla piece.
Then I had a piece of cardstock that has a 1 3/8 inch Circle punched out and we used it as a mask to sponge in our spooky harvest moon with Pumpkin Pie ink. Then we stamped our gray clouds with a stamp from the Spooky Sweet stamp set. Wrapped it up by adding a long strip of Black Glittered Ribbon, bunched up and adhered to the cardstock and then popped up the sentiment on top of the ribbon.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sheltering Tree, Spooky Sweet, Buffalo Check
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Spooky Bats Punch, Black Glittered Ribbon, Sponge, Mini Dimensionals, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Really liking that Buffalo Check background stamp!
It can be used for many different occasions and it's very trendy right now!

Halloween See Thru Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

It's still quite warm & humid here in PA.
Yesterday was a busy day. My back was hurting.
Not sure if I slept on it wrong or the ac is doing a number on the arthritis in there but either way it plain ole hurt. Nothing like nursing it with Tylenol Arthritis and a heating pad.

Today I am sharing another card we made this past Saturday for World Cardmaking Day.
This one is pretty neat, too!

As you can see from the picture these cards have an open space on the card front. I simply snipped off about an inch & a quarter and replaced that section with a piece of Window Sheet cut to fit and then placed my DSP over where I adhered the window sheet. With putting the DSP over it, it covers the adhesive on the Window Sheet and gives you a see thru window to the inside of the card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Spooky Sweet
Ink: Basic Black
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black, Whisper White, Toil & Trouble DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Window Sheet, Black Glitter Ribbon, Gorgeous Grape Glittered Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Mini Dimensionals, Mono Adhesive & Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were so much fun and the girls loved making this one!
That window in the card makes it pretty cool!

Card Bags 4 Stamp Day

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

Today is World Cardmaking Day and my friends are coming over around 10 to make some fun projects! It's always a great time stamping, laughing & eating!

Today I am sharing the card bags I made them.
I realized I never shared last month's bag so I will show that one first then the Halloween bag.

This bag was created using the En Route stamp set.
The little map looking thing was fussy cut and attach under my oval panel.
I just wanted something to add interest and then I added some Best Route Enamel Shapes.
This bag matched a card we made at the last get together and the girl's loved it!

Here is the Halloween Bag...

I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch for the tag base then a layer of Granny Apple Green that I stamped with the cloud stamp from the Spooky Sweet stamp set. At the bottom of the tag I added a piece of Toil & Trouble DSP and fussy cut a witches hat and attached it with Dimensionals.
The ribbon on my tag is Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape Striped tied on with White Baker's Twine. I am loving these new colors which are perfect for Halloween!

Going to be a very fun day!
Hope you all will be making some cards, too!

No Tricks.....Just Treats

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday it got awfully hot & humid.
Then around supper time the line of thunderstorms came thru!
They were some wicked looking skies, too!
I kept my house closed up and the AC rolling.

Today I have another treat bag for Halloween to share.
It is the 3 X 6 Gusseted Cello Bags and if you notice I found some really cool wrapped York Peppermint Patties at my local grocery store that matched the Gorgeous Grape color!

I don't know about you but I love York Peppermint Patties and when I seen these in the Gorgeous Grape & Basic Black foil wrappers....I was SO happy! They look like they are ready for Trick or Treat Night! I love when these candy companies change up their wrappers for different holidays!
Certainly makes my job easier!

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Sweet, Spooky Cat (retired)
Ink: Gorgeous Grape
Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Toil & Trouble DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombiw Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These are packed up and ready to head to my customers house in a few weeks.
Those ladies love their treats and I enjoy making them!

Kit Kat Candy Holders

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday afternoon the sun finally came out! WooHoo!
I even decided to open my windows since the humidity wasn't too bad.
Today will be another sunny day and i'm thrilled about that!

I have a cute candy treat to share today!
I hope your all ready for some Halloween treats!

These are made with the now retired Stitched Seasons Framelits that were available for the month of August, ONLY. It was such a beautiful stamp set with amazing framelits to match!

I looked high & low to find the right candy to put in them...which are the orange Halloween Kit Kats! I have to hide them from Shawn as he has a terrible sweet tooth!

Project Details:

Stamps: Spooky Sweets
Ink: Mango Melody, Basic Gray, Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Toils & Trouble DSP
Accessories: Stitched Season's Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Clear Rhinestones, Black Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really love the colors of these!
Mango Melody & Basic Black together just scream Halloween!
I can already imagine these done up in Christmas papers!
Ooooh my!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Friday!

Well, yesterday I made myself go down to my stamp room and make a card.
I needed to do something while still waiting on test results.
I looked to one of my favorite challenge blogs to help me out of this rut i'm in.
Tuesday Morning Sketches has become one of my favorites!
Here is this week's sketch and my card samples....

Since my small pre-order arrived on Tuesday I decided to get out the Halloween set called Spooky Sweets to make my card. The witches hats come from the Bubble & Toil DSP that will be available in the Holiday Mini catalog on September the 5th. I know the stamp set called Cauldron Bubbles also has coordinating Framelits that cut the witches hat out of this DSP but I did not order them. Instead, I had to fussy cut them out and you all know I am not crazy about fussy cutting!

Card Details:

Stamps: Spooky Sweets
Ink: Highland Heather, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Bubble & Toil DSP
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Gorgeous Grape Striped Ribbon, Gorgeous Grape Glittered Enamel Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

First Halloween card of the season!
I'm sure there will be more to come.....it's one of my favorite holidays!
