Golden Greenery Christmas

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your all staying cool! The heatwave continues! We had some sprinkles the last 2 days but nothing to really help the brown, crunchy grass. Shawn has been watering the garden every evening and the veggie plants are looking pretty good. The zucchini plants are producing like crazy and now it's time to get creative on what to make with them!

Today I have a Christmas card to share made using the Golden Greenery suite from the Online Exclusives! I have been loving alot of the Online Exclusives offerings more so than what's in the annual catalog this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Greetings of the Season (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Old Olive
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Gold Foil Paper, Season of Green & Gold Specialty Paper (Online Exclusives), Graceful Greenery Vellum (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Greetings of the Season Dies (Online Exclusives), Golden Greenery Dies (Online Exclusives), Gold Trim, Gold Sequins, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I think this one is my favorite so far!
I'm not sure I will be ordering anything for Christmas when the new Holiday Mini Catalog comes out since I am loving this suite!

The last week I have been working on a puzzle since I did not have any card orders and I wanted to give my hands a rest. I started the puzzle last Sunday and thought maybe all the pieces were not in the box since I bought the puzzle used at Goodwill. I quickly got frustrated with it and was going to just throw it away. Monday I did not touch it but Tuesday I made my way back to it and quickly realized I had pieces in places that they did not go. I was still frustrated with it and picked at it for the next 3 days. I was determined to finish it and prayed all the pieces were still there. Friday afternoon I completed it and felt a sigh of relief! LOL It is now packed up in a Ziplock bag and ready to be handed off to my friend Deb to do! She is the queen of Jigsaw Puzzles so she will probably fly thru putting it together!

That was the first puzzle I put together since last Christmas. I have 2 left in my rack downstairs to do. Maybe in about a month or so I will pull another one out.
I will say as frustrated as I got with this one I was pleased with it once it was done.
Such a pretty scene and colors too!

Dinosaurs & Halloween

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

I hope your having a great weekend!
Yesterday our weather almost felt like late Fall.
It was definitely a "hang on to your hat" kind of day!

Today I have another Halloween card to share to Audrey requested for a little boy. She asked for something with dinosaurs. I stewed on this one a few days then pulled out a bunch of stuff trying to come up with something. I knew I had to think outside of the box!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days (retired), Spooky Cat (retired), Ghoulish Goodies (retired)
Ink: Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green, Basic White, Granny Apple Green & Pumpkin Pie DSP (retired)
Accessories: Square Layering Framelits (retired), Tasteful Textile 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Tasteful Labels Dies (retired), Dino Dies (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Halloween Night Twine (retired), Rhinestone, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Some of the pieces on this card came from leftover candy treats from a few years ago.
I keep a baggie filled with leftover parts & pieces that I can pull out and use again. All I needed to do was add my dinosaur, sentiment and create a cardbase and my card was born!
Audrey was pleased with it! I think she said this was going to a 3 year old neighbor boy so I needed to keep it on the cutesy side.

The last 2 days I worked on a Halloween puzzle that I picked up last weekend at Home Goods. I did a Halloween puzzle last year, too! This took me about 12 hours total to put together and it was a 1000 piece puzzle.

I enjoy working on them when I don't have other things to do!
This one was quite fun! I am anxious to soon start some Christmas puzzles that I have waiting on me. After I am done with them I tear them apart, put into a ziplock bag and send them over to my friend Deb. She loves doing puzzles, too!

Thank You Card

Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you had a nice weekend!
I stamped yesterday long enough to finish up a wedding card then went off to do a puzzle with Shawn. I pulled out one that I got recently at Goodwill. It is of the Baltimore Ravens and thankfully it was only 500 pieces. It took us about 6 hours to finish it and let me say it was really hard!!!

Today I have a card to share with you!
I am always in need of Thank You cards for my customers.
I wanted to keep it easy so I covered the entire front of the cardbase with DSP and added a sweet frame from the Darling Details Dies.

Card Details:

Stamps: Darling Details
Ink: Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Basic White, Delightfully Eclectic DSP
Accessories: Darling Details Dies, Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Brushed Brass Butterflies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I only recently got the Darling Details Bundle and hope to play more with it soon!

One Horse Open Sleigh SAS

 Good Morning & Happy Fri-YAY!

Do you have any plans for the weekend?
It's to be another hot & humid day here in south central PA. We had a thunderstorm roll thru last evening which made it feel worse outside. Today & tomorrow is to be much of the same so I am trying to keep cool by getting ahead on Christmas cards!
Today I am sharing a card that is from the recent Stamp A Stack that I purchased from Kitchen Table Stamper. I sat last Saturday morning and put them together. I had ordered the One Horse Open Sleigh Bundle the beginning of July when the new Online Exclusives came out and then I seen she was going to do a Christmas in July Stamp A Stack! That was right up my alley! Beautiful cards and what fabulous designs!
Here is card #1 which I made 2 of...

Card Details:

Stamps: Horse & Sleigh, Sketched Plaid Background
Ink: Old Olive, Early Espresso, Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Gray Granite, Smoky Slate, Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoon
Cardstock: Old Olive, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake, Basic White, One Horse Open Sleigh DSP
Accessories: Timber 3D EF, Horse & Sleigh Dies, Festive Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have seen so many cool things made with this bundle and I realized that I did not have anything like this in my stash so I had to get it! I thought at one time I had a horse & sleigh set but after looking....sadly I did not. I am trying to be a bit more picky about my stamp selections since I do have so much. The horse & sleigh images are alot to color but I try not to do it all in one shot. Thanks again, Marisa...I just love how they turned out!

Stay tuned as I will have another Horse & Sleigh card to share tomorrow!

Yesterday, Kelsey & I finished up the Christmas puzzle I started on Wednesday.
It was so fun and I do enjoy doing them with her when she takes the time to help.
Here is the picture....

Shawn got me a big white board to lay on the table to help keep all my pieces together. It was a big help and when it was time to eat I just picked up the board and carried it to the living room. This puzzle was a 1000 pieces. I do have a 2000 piece puzzle that I have not opened yet. I hope it fits within my board! LOL I will probably pull that out closer to Fall.

That is all for today!

Trucking Along & A Puzzle

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

It's been quite the week here at the Aungst Pad.
I'm not sure if I mentioned that Shawn has been nursing a back/hip injury from the week he was on vacation. After a few days of pain he went to Urgent Care and was being treated for muscle spasms. Then Sunday he went fishing in Maryland and tripped on a tree root and ended up falling into a pond, dropping his phone in the water and hitting his knee on rocks. Now not only is he dealing with the back/hip thing, he now has been limping from his knee hitting the rocks. He has finally realized he's not 20 anymore and took the rest of the week off and is working from home until his issue gets under control. He said this morning that it's starting to feel better but with him trying to take it easy his Restless Leg has been thru the roof. Mind you, he is on the steroid, Prednisone and a muscle relaxer which you would think would keep his legs relaxed but it's having the opposite effect. Then yesterday his crown fell off when he was eating lunch so today he is headed to the dentist (AGAIN) to have it put back on. I tell you, you can't make this stuff up with him! I told him yesterday that I am going to start wrapping him in bubble wrap to leave the house. He just laughed.

So enough on life at the Aungst Pad....I have a really cool card to share with you today!
The beginning of July the Stampin Up! Online Exclusives hit. I ended up purchasing the Trucking Along Bundle because it was so dang cute! Yesterday I finally broke it out and had some fun with it. The stamp set has so many delightful sayings & images in it that can be used all year long. It also has a coordinating punch which makes things so much easier!
I made this card yesterday...

I made this for Shawn to match his new truck that he purchased about a month ago and also to cheer him up. I cannot to wait to use this set for some Christmas cards eventually!

Card Details:

Stamps: Trucking Along (Online Exclusive), Rays of Light
Ink: Azure Afternoon, Memento Black, Stampin Blends-Azure Afternoon, Basic Black, Smoky Slate
Cardstock: Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic White, Bright & Beautiful DSP
Accessories: Trucking Along Builder Punch (Online Exclusives), Metal Plate 3D EF, Tailored Tag Punch (retired), Tailored Made Tags Dies, Azure Afternoon Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Adorable, right?

Also on Tuesday Kelsey & I wrapped up the puzzle that I started on Monday. It took 13 1/2 hours to complete it. When it was done we realized there was a piece missing. Now I have said that I got it from Goodwill. It was previously used and the box was all taped up. Kelsey asked if I was going to throw the puzzle away since it was missing a piece. I said no. I will hang on to it a bit then if the piece isn't found I will get rid of it. So before I tore the puzzle apart to put it away I pulled out the kitchen table and took the floor Swiffer over it to make sure it did not end up there. Sure enough....it was under the table on the floor upside down that it blended in with the color of the floor. Puzzle was then completed! WooHoo!

Another 1000 piece Christmas completed!
It is always so rewarding finishing up those last couple of pieces and standing back to admire it when completed! Next week we are going to try to start another one if time allows!

Thanks for hanging in there with me up to this point!
I had alot to share today! LOL

Stamp Day Card #4

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Can you believe we are 1 week away from Thanksgiving?!
Nothing much planned here for that day since Kelsey will be working at the restaurant as this will be the 1st year they will be open for reservations only. Covid the last 2 years kept them closed and they did take out dinners only. We are still planning on our usual turkey dinner and then get started putting the tree up and decorating. It will just be a bit more low keyed which is ok by me.

I promised yesterday that I would share a picture of the puzzle I did earlier this week and here it is...

I started the 1000 piece puzzle Monday morning and soon discovered that it was pretty tough. I kept picking at it and several times I wanted to tear it apart and put it back in the box. I also feared that maybe all the pieces were not there since I bought it at Goodwill earlier this year. Tuesday night I finished up about 10:30 and left it on the kitchen table for Shawn to see in the morning. I was happy that I pushed thru and got this one completed.
It will go to my friend, Deb when I see her again. She loves doing puzzles, too!
I still have 2 more Christmas puzzles to do sometime over the holidays. That will depend  on how busy I am with Christmas treats, card orders and getting ready for the holidays.

Today I have card #4 to share with you from Stamp Day w/ Friends this past Saturday.
This one uses the Hello Harvest stamp set from the 2022 July-December Mini Catalog.

I think this one was my favorite because of how colorful it is and it was very easy to create!
We created our own Designer Series Paper using the leaf stamp from the stamp set in Merry Merlot & Crushed Curry inks. The sentiment is from the retired Pleasant Pheasants stamp set. And we finished off this card using some retired Crushed Curry ribbon and Champagne Rhinestones!

Card Details:

Stamps: Hello Harvest, Pleasant Pheasanst (retired)
Ink: Crushed Curry, Merry Merlot
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Merry Merlot, Basic White, Rustic Harvest DSP
Accessories: Stylish Shapes Dies, Square Layering Framelits (retired), Crushed Curry Ribbon (retired), Champagne Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Yesterday I sat and addressed about 12 Thanksgiving cards to send out to friends, family & neighbors. Today I may try and start some of my Christmas cards so that I am not a last minute Lucy on getting them sent. I'm trying to be a bit more productive and staying on top of things instead of waiting until the last minute. LOL Wish me luck on that one!

Skeleton Boxes for Trick or Treat

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

This week seems to be flying by!
Yesterday I finished up my puzzle then I had some work to do at my stamp table.
Here is the puzzle...

It was pretty easy until I got to the trees. At that point all the pieces looked the same!
I love the challenge of doing a puzzle when time allows. I have a Christmas one downstairs that I hope to get started on in a few weeks.

Today I have another sweet treat to share that I made for Halloween.
Marisa from Kitchen Table Stamper made these sweet little boxes on one of her FB Lives over the summer. I printed out the tutorial and made some for Trick or Treat!

If you know me you know that I am always pleased when everything coordinates.
I have learned over the years that it is pleasing to the eye when it all matches and presentation is everything! My dear friend, Pam, taught me that from years of doing the Llama Loop Farm Craft Show. Sadly, just recently she sold her farm and moved. I have so many fond memories of being on the farm and spending time with Pam. The farm became too much for them to take care of anymore and I know it was bittersweet for them to leave it. And so that is why I always try to match things up when creating cards or treats! Anyways, I made these boxes after finding the Kit Kat candy bars at my local Giant store. And those smiling skeletons are fussy cut from last year's Cute Halloween DSP.

Project Details:

Stamps: Wonderfully Wicked (retired)
Ink: Highland Heather
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Basic White, Cute Halloween DSP (retired)
Accessories: Simply Score Board, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Velcro Dots, Iridescent Black Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Each box has one Kit Kat in. I tried to squeeze 2 in it but I has afraid of the box tearing.
I have a few of these left so I will start handing them out to some neighbors and others we see in our travels this week. We decided not to hand candy out this year for Trick or Treat night. Last few years we only had maybe 20 kids and with me still coughing I am not going to go out and sit in the cold air and make things worse.

Celebrate Sunflowers & A Puzzle

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

Yesterday I finished up a puzzle I was working on since Sunday afternoon!
I picked this one up at Home Goods and thought it'd be fun to do when Kelsey comes over for a weekend. Well, I got a bit impatient and decided to tackle it while I was still not feeling good. This was the first I have ever seen a Halloween one so of course I had to get it!

I do have a card to share with you too today!
This one uses the Celebrating Sunflowers stamp set with coordinating Sunflower Dies! One of my favorites!

I needed some personal Thank You cards to send out and so I reached for this set because it is a favorite and perfect for this time of year.

Card Details:

Stamps: Celebrating Sunflowers, Nature's Harvest
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Pool Party, Blackberry Bliss, Dream A Daydream DSP (Hostess Item)
Accessories: Sunflower Dies, Hives 3D EF, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Bumble Bee Trinket (retired), Blackberry Bliss Twine (retired),Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was inspired by the colors in my DSP and made the center of my sunflower using Blackberry Bliss! That was different for me and I do like the finished product!
So did the recipients!

Seasonal Thinking of You Cards

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am all confused on the days since Shawn is on vacation!
I have been working on a puzzle that Kelsey brought over to do on Christmas Eve.
She gave up and walked away from it but I kept at it in between laundry and feeding my family!
Last evening I finally finished it up! It was a tough one!

I'm glad that's done!

Today I have a set of Thinking of You cards that I made for my card lady earlier this month. As bad as my hands were hurting, I kept these very simple!

Card Details:

Stamps: Thanks. Thinking & Peace
Ink: Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Beauty of the Earth DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, White Glittered Ribbon, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I felt like I slacked on making these for her but she was still pleased with them.
I have been giving my hands lots of rest but I sure do miss my stamping!
I have 2022 calendars & Valentine's sitting on my table waiting ever so graciously on me. I'll get to them soon!

Thanksgiving Card Set

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Friday I took the day for myself to work on a 1000 piece puzzle!
Kelsey & Shady came over and we got it started.
We had a good time bonding over putting a puzzle together!
Here is the puzzle...

I picked at it all weekend and finished it before the sun came up Sunday morning!
Sunday was football day and we relaxed with the fireplace lit.
It got quite cool yesterday...I don't think our temps got out of the 50's with gusty winds. Burrrr! Fall has arrived! LOL

Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving card that I whipped up last week.
I know it's not even Halloween yet but I like to work ahead because I know my card lady will soon start giving me gigantic card orders.

I have so much of this Painted Harvest DSP from a few years ago that it will probably take me a long time to use it up but isn't it so pretty?!
I paired it with a PSX stamp that is my trusty stand by, I use it all the time!

Card Details:

Stamps: PSX
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Painted Harvest DSP (retired)
Accessories: Timeworn Type 3D EF, Oval Layering Framelits (retired), Natural Gold Ribbon (retired), Gold Rhinestones (Michaels), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This evening Shawn & I both have doctor appointments then supper out!
I will be happy when that's done!
