Sketch Challenge 486

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

It's a total washout here in PA today! It has been pouring buckets since I got up this morning. My sump pumps have just started kicking on which is a good thing! We are under Flood Warnings till I think Thursday night. My yard is already looking like a lake. The weather has been quite scary in the US since Sunday and our thoughts & prayers go out to the ones affected by the tornado's in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and North Carolina.

So since it's really dreary, foggy & very rainy, I decided to head downstairs and do some crafting. I played along with today's Sketch Challenge 486. I have a card order to get done and this card will be part of that package.

I had the paper and stamp set still laying out on my table from using it on the tablets yesterday and I was able to use them again for this sketch. I just love the color's in this paper! The sentiment on the from is from the Simply Sketched hostess set and the inside sentiment is from DRS Stamps.
Hope you like!

Merry Monday Challenge #106

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Since it's Monday that means it's time for another awesome challenge from over at Merry Monday!
Kristie is our hostess this week and she chose one terrific challenge!

This is probably one of my favorite challenges because I love Gingerbreadmen! My kitchen is loaded with them! Curtains, cannisters, decorations and of course my coffee cup!
I used a digi image from Whimsie Doodles that I have on my computer. I colored it up and added some retired patterned paper. I added some glitter to the hats of my gingers and popped up my sentiment. Another card ready for the holidays!

Pretty Pink Flower Notecards

Hello & Happy Thursday!

This week is flying right along! I'm looking forward to the weekend!!
Saturday, my friend Deb & I are attending an All Day Scrap & Stamp Day. I'm looking forward to spending some time with her since we don't see each other very often. It will be fun!
So, yesterday my day started out not too good with back pain. I thought maybe it was from the change in our weather. I decided to take one of my arthritis pills and as the day went on I noticed it felt better. Maybe afterall my injections are helping but I came to the conclusion that I might have to be on the Meloxicam the rest of my life to help control the arthritis in my lower back. Not real happy about another medicine but I guess we have to do what we have to do!

Then yesterday I sat down to work on the 2nd set of notecards for the same lady that works with Kirsten. I went with something flowery on this set and i'm really liking them!

I am tickled pink with them! What do you think??

I packaged these up with 10 envelopes and placed them inside a clear Papertreyink card box and wrapped with more pink ribbon. I placed both card sets in a gift bag and added a banner and one of these flower panels to it. I think I need to take a picture of it before I give them to Kirsten tonight! LOL I'll work on that!

Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Strawberry Slush, Neenah White

Well, laundry awaits me today then a haircut this evening!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Pretty Pink Purse Cards

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today I passed on doing a card for the SCS Color Challenge. I may give it a try another day but today I needed to work on a card order for a co worker of Kirsten's. This girl loves all things pink and Hello Kitty so I knew I had a big feat infront of me. I have been racking my mind for the last couple of weeks thinking of what I could make her. Today I pulled out my Weather or Not stamp set and decided to use the purses and use as much pink as I could.

I pulled out some 1/8 Black Taffeta Ribbon just to break up some of the pink but I love the look of it too! All these colors remind me of Hello Kitty, too! I hope she will like these. I packaged 5 cards with 5 envelopes into 2 Papertreyink plastic card boxes and wrapped it with Pretty in Pink Stitched Ribbon and tied a big bow. Love how pretty it is! What do you think?

Pretty Pink Purse Cards:

Stamps: Weather or Not
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink DSP
Accessories: Pink Rhinestones, 1/8 Black Taffeta Ribbon, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me tonight!
Think i'll be heading to bed a bit earlier tonight since I am just plain ole tired!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a good night!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #105

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice Easter holiday yesterday!
My day was wonderful with my hubby, 3 kids, doggies & my parents! Also we had some beautiful weather to boot! We did not have an egg hunt but sat outside and watched the dogs all play together! Kirsten brought her new Jack Russell puppy, Rosco and he is just so different compared to Shady & Dawkins. Such a good boy and I think Gigi & Bailee are starting to warm up to him!! We had plenty of food and it was just an all around great day!

I had to take it easy a bit though. Friday I went and had my 2nd injection done in my lower back. Owwie! This one hurt as my Pain Management doctor must have hit a nerve when he stuck me because my leg jumped several times! Weridest feeling ever! I am 2 days out from this injection and so far it has NOT brought me any relief. I'm kinda discouraged but I have to keep the faith that something will help.

This week we have another great challenge from over at Merry Monday so let's get to it!

Sue Joyce is our wonderful hostess this week and I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge!

As you can see I made a few different cards which I loved all 3 and I loved using the foil papers and alphabet dies! Can you say, SO MUCH FUN!!

Hope you can find some time to play along with us this week and also to hop over to the Merry Monday blog to see what the other Merry Makers have created. Lovely creations!

Well, that is all for me today!
Today will be a day of rest for me which is good because I have some work to do in my stamp room this week! I hope to get back on my normal schedule of stamping a little each day! Yipppee Skippee!

Thanks so much for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Happy Easter!!!

Hello & Happy Easter, friends!

It's been a hectic week! So sorry for the lack in posts but I had a feeling it was going to be that way! I had 2 doctor appointments this week with Pain Management. The first was a follow up and the second one was Friday morning for my 2nd Epidural Steroid Injection. Friday I was on bed rest and Saturday we had to prepare for our Easter Day. But before I head to bed I wanted to share the rest of my Easter treats I made so let's get to it!

First off though I want to share a picture that Kirsten shared with me....
Love your adorable pink tree, Billie Jo! So sweet! :)

A friend that Kirsten works with bought a bunch of my Easter treats and decorated her little tree that's in her cubical. She loves pink! Kirsten sent this picture to me one day last week and I fell in love with it and thought i'd share it with you!

And here are the treats.....

Phew, that was alot, huh? I was quite pleased with everything I made and even happier that Kirsten & my parents sold all of it! I purchased myself a Big Shot machine with the extra cash I made. I'm so excited to get it so I can use my extra large dies with it. I'm looking forward to making some banners and decorating some wreaths in the coming weeks! A huge Thank You to everyone who purchased!
I'm not going to list all the supplies I used to make these treats so if there is anything you need to know please shoot me an email at blueyes966@comcast.net

Well, it was a beautiful day and I spent it with my wonderful hubby, 3 kiddo's plus Kirsten's boyfriend, Brad and their puppy Rosco and my parents & 2 little doggies! Couldn't ask for anything more! Hope you all have a very happy day too!

I'm heading to bed!
Lots of fun stampy things to come this week!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
