Corner Garden Birthday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe today is the last day of September!
Time is flying by so quickly anymore!

Today I created a card for a birthday. I made one a few weeks ago as a "Thank You" that was just like it . I really liked the look of the stamp just by embossing it.

I was taken with the Corner Garden stamp when it came out but i'm not one who likes to color that much. I love the look of it embossed in white and i've added a few rhinestone for sparkle and some White Baker's Twine. My sentiment is popped up with 2 dimensionals and I used the Hexagon Punch to make the flag ends. Easy Peasy!

Corner Garden Birthday Card:

Stamps: Corner Garden Background, SU Sentiment (can't think of the name)
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Accessories: Hexagon Punch, Winter's White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Rhinestones, White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for me today!
Stay tuned tomorrow for the start of Halloween goodies!
Can't wait to share them with you!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 550

Hello & Happy Tuesday!
Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS. I had a few other things on my table that needed my attention before I got to play along so that's the reason for the late update.

Here are the colors:
Dessert option was to make a sky on your card.

These colors are very pretty together but remind of spring time.
I passed on dessert and went with a beautiful butterfly instead.

Just as I was headed downstairs to play along today, my dear customer Audrey called me. She needed more cards! She asked for a pack with butterflies on...no sentiment inside or out. So I used today's colors for her order! I like them and hope she will too!

Color Challenge 550 Card:

Stamps: none
Ink; none
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Soft Sky & Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Elegant Dots EF, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Soft Sky 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Small White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Another rainy day on tap here in PA. I think we under the gun for rain for the next 4-5 days! Kelsey is here visiting for a few days so it's going to be a miserable few days with this weather. I will take it though, we need the rain!

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge #173

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday to help get those Christmas cards made! Time is passing us by so quickly and the holidays will be here before you know it. I hope our challenges are helping you in getting your Christmas cards made ahead of time!

Kristie is our hostess this week so let's get to her challenge!

This was a toughie for me!
I racked my brain thinking of what to make for this. Finally, I pulled out this retired Stampin Up set called Tree Trimmings and started stamping my ornaments in the colors of the rainbow. Once I had them stamped out I started to love the card! I finished it up with some Thick Island Indigo Twine from Recollections and some colored rhinestones to match each ornament! You know me, I love alittle sparkle or shine on my cards! :) I think I also found the perfect sentiment to go along with my rainbow colored ornaments!

This is a fun challenge and Thank You, Kristie for challenging me on this one!
I am pleased with the outcome!!

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the ladies created for this challenge! Lots of amazing idea's to spark inspiration! I also hope you will join in and play along with us! Our challenge runs thru Sunday!

Merry Monday Challenge #173 Card:

Stamps: Tree Trimmings, Hero Arts sentiment
Ink: Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Island Indigo, Whsiper White
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Circle Punches, Thick Island Indigo Twine-Recollections, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

Fall is in the Air

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Happy Fall Y'all!!

I'm a few days late on wishing everyone a "Happy Fall". I've been really busy with wrapping up the last of my Halloween projects. We've been enjoying some beautiful weather here in South Central PA the last few days. This is definitely my kind of weather and my back has been happy about it too!

Yesterday I was in the craft room all day! I had a great time creating some Christmas projects but also threw in this cute little Halloween Pillow Box! This will be a Thank You to Audrey for all her orders. I know she will love it! Not sure she is a Kit Kat candy bar eater so I may change that out with something else.

This is Stampin Up's new Pillow Box Thinlit Die and coordinating stamp set, A Little Something. I just love it! I love that you can create a window in this or make a tag. I love the 3 little shaped dies that come with it. I used the pumpkins on mine but there are also leaves & trees which i'm sure you will see me using as those occasions come in the next several months. This pillow box is much bigger than the one Stampin Up had out several years ago. It definitely holds much more! I have 4 Snack Size Orange Colored Kit Kat bars in this which I could have probably gotten 1 more in but I did not want to put stress on the sides. I would also suggest to use a very strong adhesive on this as the sides would come apart very quickly! Behind my little window & row of pumpkins I placed a piece of Window Sheet or Acetate Paper to keep my candies in place. Stampin Up also does sell the Window Sheets. This little project is a 10 on my scale!!! I just love this for gift giving!

Trick or Treat Pillow Box:

Stamps: A Little Something
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Pillow Box Thinlit Dies,Window Sheet, Tangerine Tango/Whisper White Twine (from last year's Holiday Mini), Dimensional, Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue

I hope you enjoyed seeing this!
I was sharing with Shawn every step of the way in making this last evening. I can't tell you how thrilled I was with this set of Thinlits! SO MUCH FUN!

This coming week is the start of October! Where has the time gone!!
I will then start to share all the Halloween goodies i've been slaving over the last few weeks. Can't wait to show you so stay tuned!!

That's all for me on this Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
I'll see you tomorrow for Merry Monday!

w/ dessert option of making a Christmas card

Easy Peasy! I actually made a package of 5 again for the craft show!

I was a little late getting started since I had Halloween stuff on my table that needed to be finished then it was off to make my Christmas card. I really like how soft these colors are! I had a hard time debating whether I wanted to add ribbon or twine to this but lastly decided that it did not need anything but some sparkly rhinestones!

Hope you like!

Merry Monday Challenge #172

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday! This week we are "Watercoloring" on our Christmas cards! Such a fun challenge! Our fellow Merry Maker, Katie chose this challenge before she stepped down from the design team a few weeks ago. We decided to honor her with continuing on with her terrific challenge! This is for you, Katie!

I just have to say that I love this card but watercoloring has never been my forte! When I lived in Missouri a few years back, my dear friend Vicki Burdick gave me a watercoloring class and I tried to remember some of the things she taught me when coloring up this image. I hope I made her proud!

Merry Monday Challenge #172 Card:

Stamps: Snow Much Fun
Ink: Black Stazon, Pool Party, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pool Party, Real Red, Neenah White, Fresh Prints DSP Paper Pad
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Glitter, Real Red 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other Merry Makers created this week and will join in and play along with us! Remember Christmas will soon be here!

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for playing along & have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday, Everyone!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's football day here today and that means time to relax!

We had our good friends, Deb & Ed over last night for a cookout & firepit and then they stayed over night. We had such a fun time! I really miss them as neighbors but thankfully we have continued to stay very good friends since we moved away. It was the perfect evening to grill out then sit by the fire. Even Ryan joined us!

So, today I am just sharing a pack of cards I made for a card order. Audrey sure keeps me busy! She's anxious for the Halloween goodies and I told her that they would be ready soon! She also requested a pack of pumpkin cards when I get the time. I can do that!

She raved over the colors on this card! Watermelon Wonder is a very summery color and I like it with Bermuda Bay! I wanted to add a bow but decided to keep them mail friendly for her.

Happy Birthday Card Set:

Stamps: Happy Birthday, Everyone (hostess)
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Cherry On Top DSP Paper Pad

Hey Cupcake!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!
As most of you know I make cards for a lady that lives close to my parents house. Her name is Audrey and she always asks for "cupcake cards"!  I sometimes refer to her as the "Cupcake Bandit"! Hehe She is such a sweet lady! So today as I was looking thru some stamp sets, I found this adorable cupcake image in a set called Num Num. I've had it since last summer but only ever used one stamp from the set, the rest were unmounted. I changed that today!

Here is a pack of cards I whipped up for my dear customer, Audrey!

I sure hope she likes them because I really do!

Hey Cupcake Card Set:

Stamps: Num Num
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP

It's time for a new challenge from over at Merry Monday! Kathy is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

Tall, Skinny Notepads

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying your weekend!

It's feeling like a cool fall day here in PA today! It's perfect for football season to start today!
We are relaxing this afternoon and watching the Ravens/Bronco's game. Yesterday I crafted most of the day working on a card order then jumped over to doing laundry. Hubby canned 4 batches of pasta sauce for the winter. I can't wait to break open a yummy jar of sauce for a lasanga or spaghetti!

So, today I wanted to share more tall skinny notebooks that I whipped up. I love these things are they are great sellers!

I used some retired DSP called Sycamore Street from SaleABration 2013. I used a hostess set called A Whole Lot of Lovely for the sentiment and Petite Petals for my little flower. Simple but cute!

A Whole Lot of Lovely Notepads:

Stamps: A Whole Lot of Lovely, Petite Petals
Ink: Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Sycamore Street DSP
Accessories: Scallop & Circle Punches, Petite Petals Punch, Island Indigo Chevron Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Liquid Tombow Multipurpose Glue

The notepads measure 5 X 8 that I picked up at Staples and had them cut them in half.

Well, that's all I have for today!
Back to football!! #goravens

Halloween Boxes for my Challenge

Hello & Happy Friday!

This time it was my turn to come up with a challenge that my dear friend, Vicki & I have been throwing at each other the last few months.

Last month I sent Vicki a card with 3 little clear boxes in and I told her my challenge was to decorate them for her favorite holiday, Halloween!

A few days later I received word from Vicki that the challenge was on!

Here are my 3 boxes:

This box uses the new Sweet Hauntings stamp set in the Holiday Mini. I added a Candy Corn that I picked up at Michael's last year. The paper is from the Happy Hauntings DSP. My twine is the thick Very Vanilla from the main SU catty. I filled this box with Candy Corn M&M's!

This box I used the Fall Fest stamp set & matching Framelits. The sentiment is from For All Things set. The paper is from an old pack of SU paper called Halloween Night DSP. My ribbon is retired. It is the 1/8 Crushed Curry Taffeta Ribbon. My sentiment was punched with the Washi Label Punch. I filled this box with Caramel Hershey Kisses! Yum!

This box I used a sentiment from a Hero Arts set that i've had a long time. The paper is from the Happy Hauntings DSP (and I really love this ghost design). The black circle is from the new Black Glimmer paper and let me say how much I love this paper! My little ghost is a glittery foam sticker that was in my stash. My twine is Tangelo Twist from this past SaleABration. I filled this box with 2 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that are orange and they say BOO on them!

I'm pleased with all 3 clear boxes!

I cannot wait to see Vicki's boxes! Here is the link to her blog so you can go check hers out & let her some love! I know her's will be awesome! She loves Halloween!

*** ETA: The clear boxes came from L&L Stamps in Ephrata, PA. ***

I also wanted to apologize for the lack of posts lately.
I went last Friday for my Branch Block diagnostic test. I had 6 needles in my lower back. They numbed my facet joints to see how long I stayed pain free. Once the numbing medicine wore off I was in major pain up until yesterday. I was miserable the last few days. I did not hear back from the pain management doctor on whether or not i'm having my nerves burned (RFA) or the recommendation of surgery. I will let you know when I know but now that my major pain has subsided I hope to be back to posting on a regular basis!

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 547

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend!

I had my Branch Block on Friday. I was told to leave and go home & do the things that make my back hurt. So I hit up Sam's Club, Target, Giant and the local orchard to grocery shop. I walked for a few hours which eventually my pain came back when the numbing medicine wore off. I had to document every hour where my pain level was. I did great the first 3-4 hours and after that my pain slowly came back. The doctors office called and asked for the results and said today I would hear back as to what the doctor decides. It will either be the nerve burning or surgery. I have been in pain all weekend since the Branch Block. I guess all the needles just got everything agitated. Even today I am still hurting and not feeling like myself. Might just be nerves. Anyways, I decided to get back in the groove of things and get back to crafting. Shawn went back to work today so I figured I needed to push myself to try and get back to normal. He took great care of me all weekend. I don't know what i'd do without him!

So this afternoon I hit up the stamp table just to quickly make an engagement card for an order. I used today's Color Challenge from over at SCS. Here are the colors:

Tempting Turquoise, Pink Pirouette & Blackberry Bliss
with a dessert option of using layers on your card.

Everything on my card is pretty much Blackberry Bliss & Pink Pirouette with a pop of Turquoise on it with my little bow. I used 1 inch pieces of Blackberry Bliss & Pink Pirouette to my the striped panel, Added the doily with my hearts, sentiment, pearl brad & the bow. I also qualify for dessert with 4 layers!

Color Challenge 547 Card:

Stamps: Love & Laughter
Ink: Blackberry Bliss
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White
Accessories: Heart Nestibilities, Doily, Pearl Brad, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dot, Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
