Easter Treat Holder

Hello & Happy Friday!

Along with the rain we are getting today it's sorta a somber kind of day.
My hubby found out yesterday that they closed his work.
They told management, then on to the employees, then walked mostly everyone out.
Shawn was asked to stay on a few more weeks until they get all the equipment cleaned & shipped to other facilities. He sorta had a feeling about this but in the end it shocked everyone, even him.
He is a motivated guy and very well liked so i'm sure finding another job will happen in time. He came home yesterday around noontime. I think we are a bit numb....

So, a few weeks ago my friend, Vicki over at It's A Stamp Thing suggested we do an Easter Treat holder as a little challenge between us. I was all for it!
Here is the treat holder I made and most of them sold at my Stamp Day w Friends event last Saturday!

One day I decided to play around with the Popcorn Box Thinlits die.
Since I had the Gingham Gala DSP, I went for the colors in the paper pad.
I diecut one in each color.....Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and lastly Lemon Lime Twist.
Oh, they were SO pretty is these pastel colors!
I made a handle for them in each color so they could be used as an Easter basket.
I punched out 2 Whisper White Daisies from the Daisy Punch then a 1 inch circle in each color.
Man, that Gingham paper is beautiful and these turned out just super cute!
I filled each basket with some shred paper and a 2X8 Cello bag filled with Reese's Peanut Butter Miniatures and tied them closed with the SaleABration's pretty Organdy Ribbon that matched this pack of paper!
Lastly I stamped Easter Blessings on Whisper White cardstock in Black Memento ink then punched it out with the Classic Label Punch and attached it to baskets.
I only have 1 left which I will gift to one of the kids for Easter.

Project Details:

Stamps: Itty Bitty Greetings (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits (retired), Daisy Punch, 1 Inch Circle Punch, Classic Label Punch, Organdy Ribbon Pack (SAB), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

These were such a breathe of fresh air sitting in my stamp room the last few weeks!
I adored the pops of springtime colors and the pretty Daisies on each basket!
So much fun, too!
Now go check out Vicki's Easter Treats here!
I know hers will knock your socks off!

You're Inspiring

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Today is suppose to be a really nice day here!
Hope your enjoying the weekend!

Today I have a set of Easter cards made for my customer.
This year she asked for 4 packs.

This set uses the You're Inspiring set.

The daffodils are colored with Daffodil Delight & Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends then I used some Wink of Stella over them for some sparkle.
My tag comes from the Popcorn Box Thinlit Dies that retired last year.

Card Details:

Stamps: You're Inspiring
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Basket Weave EF, Tag from Popcorn Box Thinlit Dies (retired), Daffodil Delight 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Whisper White Baker's Twine, Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think these are my absolute favorites but all that coloring made my hand ache.
I made these over 2 days so I did not overdo it.
Perfect for Easter, don't ya think?

Easter Hello Wood Crates

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's looking like a beautiful day here in south central PA!
I am hoping to go to the Rail Trail this afternoon for a walk and take advantage of the sunshine and 50's!

I want to share another Easter Treat today!
These are probably my favorites!

My customers loved the Wood Crates done up at Christmas time so I wanted to make them again but with the colors of spring. I found the Easter Grass at Michael's  and loved the pops of color it brought to the each crate. My tag on the cello bags was cut using a die in the Popcorn Box Thinlits.

Project Details:

Stamps: Easter Hello, You're Inspiring (sentiment)
Ink: Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, Pool Party
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Popcorn Box Thinlits, Wood Crates Framelits, Cello Bags, Blushing Bride & Pool Party Twine, Rhinestones, Handheld Hole Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I filled each cello bag with a bite sized Snickers, Twix, 3 Muskateer, Milky Way bars plus a Reese's PB Egg. Lots of chocolate yumminess!

My thoughts today....

Technically Tuesday is the first day of Spring but we may be getting another snow storm. It's still up in the air whether it will be rain or snow.
I'm hoping for rain so that our spring bulbs will start blooming!

That is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Valentine's Day Popcorn Box

Hello & Happy Monday!

I'm trying to get back on track with blogging & stamping and since I did some stamping this past weekend I have alot to share!

I always create treats to sell to my customers for each holiday and while I have been slow to get my act together since Christmas....I finally picked up a bunch of candy at the store and got some things made.
Do you remember that I made the Popcorn Boxes for Halloween & Christmas?
Well, I did some for Valentines Day too and I really like them!
It helps too that Stampin Up has a new suite called Painted With Love! It's SO pretty!

At first I was not so sure about that Painted With Love Specialty Paper but now I am in love with it!
It has Gold Foil throughout it and I think it just catches the eye!

Project Details:

Stamps: Sure Do Love You
Ink: Melon Mambo, VersaMark
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Gold Foil, Painted With Love Specialty Paper
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Lots to Love Framelits, Gold Mini Tinsel, Cello Bags, Melon Mambo Thick Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm SO giddy over these and I only made 4.
I have a funny feeling I will get a call to make more!

Seasonal Chums Popcorn Boxes

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Another Christmas has come & gone!
It was a low key day for us but we did have a great holiday!

Today my hubby is headed back to work, unfortunately!
I have enjoyed the last several days with him being off.
We did a bunch of thrift/antique store shopping and I picked up a few more Ceramic Christmas Trees!
The glow of their lights in my kitchen & living room this holiday were beautiful and I hope to continue building my forest of trees for next year! Besides my regular tree and my Ceramic Christmas Tree that I made in 1984 (which I display every Christmas for 33 years!), my collection has now grown to 13 Ceramic Trees in all shapes, sizes and colors! I do believe now that my hubby is hooked, too!

Anyways, today I am still sharing Christmas things.
I have the rest of the Popcorn Boxes to show.
These have been wildly popular with my customers and they all sold, too!

These were SO fun to make and decorate this year!
Each box has a bit of shred paper in the bottom and a small cello bag filled with Hershey Kisses.
The snowman is from the Seasonal Chums stamp set and colored with my Copic Markers.

Seasonal Chums Popcorn Boxes:

Stamps: Seasonal Chums, Half Full (sentiment)
Ink: Black Memento, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Whisper White, Be Merry DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Popcorn Box Thinlits, Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler Twine, Small Cello Bags, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This bundle will be retiring come January 3rd 2018 but will stay in my collection for along time!
Such cute images & matching dies to boot!

My thoughts today.....

Too much good food at this time of the year!
I'm almost looking forward to the new year to get back on my bike!
Heaven knows i'm gonna need it! LOL

That's all for now!

Christmas Popcorn Boxes

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Halfway thru the week!

Today I have a cute treat to share using the Popcorn Box Thinlit.
I made several different ones but will just share this one today.

Christmas Popcorn Boxes:

Stamps: Seasonal Chums, Half Full
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Be Merry DSP
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlit, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Cherry Cobbler Twine, Hole Punch, Cello Bag, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My little tag is diecut from a tag that is in the Popcorn Box Thinlits. It was perfect size for my Merry Christmas sentiment. That sentiment comes from the Half Full set.

I like the size of this box!
I used a small cello bag that I filled with Hershey Kisses and then I tied my bag shut with Cherry Cobbler Twine and added my tag. I also added a handful of shred paper to the bottom of my box so the candy treat stuck out the top.

It's a project that is alittle more involved but once it was done it was well worth the effort!

Creep It Real 3

Hello & Happy Friday!

Today I have the last of my Creep It Real Popcorn Boxes to share!
This one was made for my hubby and I used the Frankenstein in the Creep It Real stamp set.
I pulled out some retired Cucumber Crush cardstock, ran it thru the Big Shot with the Popcorn Box Thinlits and then stamped it with Cucumber Crush ink.

I can't begin to tell you how much fun these Popcorn Boxes were to make! I love when a project comes together so easily and Stampin Up has given us so many cool things to use these days! I promise you I will be making more of these come Christmas!

Again, I added some Halloween Hershey Kisses to a Cello Bag and tied my bag shut with Cucumber Crush Thick Twine. My tag with the BOO stamped on was added last. I also had some Halloween Rice Krispy treats in a green color to add to my Popcorn Box because for me it's all about color and things that match! Shawn loves candy and of course eats those Rice Krispy treats all the time so he will love this! Those Popcorn Boxes hold quite a bit and definitely make a cute treat holder!

Frankenstein Popcorn Box:

Stamps: Creep It Real
Ink: Cucumber Crush, Basic Black
Cardstock: Cucumber Crush, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Thinlits, Cello Bag, Cucumber Crush Thick Twine, Black Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hope you enjoyed seeing the fun treat holders that were made for my gang!
Give them a try!

My thoughts today...

And our Baltimore Ravens won last night although our quarterback took a hard hit and ended up with a concussion.
Happy to see my Ravens are back though and played an amazing game!!!
Congrats on their shut out win last night! 40 to nothing! How bout those apples!?

I also had a lovely phone call yesterday from my friend Vicki from Missouri!
It made my day to hear a friendly voice!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a fabulous day!

Creep It Real 2

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Last evening I got to play with the Creep It Real stamp set again that Kelsey bought.
This time I made a Popcorn Box for my son, Ryan.
Take a look...

Pumpkin Popcorn Box:

Stamps: Creep It Real
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Cello Bag, Halloween Night Twine, Black Rhinestones, , Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

In my stash of Halloween Candy I had these Halloween Rice Krispy Treats in the colors of my Popcorn Boxes so I threw those in my boxes along with the cello bag of Halloween Hershey Kisses!
I am so OCD when it comes to matching colors!
I am going to also slip alittle cash inside the boxes before I give them to the family for Halloween. A little bit of cash & some sweets is sure to make them happy!

My thoughts today....

Haha! This one made me giggle!

That is all for me today!
I will share the last Popcorn Box tomorrow so be sure to stop back!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Creep It Real

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Since I have all my Halloween treats made for my customers and my stamp get togethers with the girls are done....I thought I would take today to work on some Halloween treats for my family!

Kelsey recently purchased this stamp set, Creep It Real, from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Apparently it jumped out at her but not for me. I actually did not like it at all!

I have completely changed my mind!!
I think I am going to try my hand this evening at making more for Ryan & Shawn! I think they will get a kick out of them filled with their favorite candies!

My box is make from the Popcorn Die Thinlits and I used Elegant Eggplant cardstock. The tag that is tied onto my cello bag of Halloween Hershey Kisses is from the Popcorn Box Thinlits. My "BOO" sentiment fit perfectly on it and I added 2 Pumpkin Pie Enamel Dots. It all came together pretty quick and I know she is going to LOVE this next week!

Trick or Treat Popcorn Box:

Stamps: Creep It Real
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Cello Bag, Elegant Eggplant Twine, Hole Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

SO MUCH FUN!

Popcorn Boxes for Halloween

Hello & Happy Saturday!

After a day of running around yesterday, today we have nothing on our agenda!
Shawn's doctor appointment went well. He is having another test done to figure out why he has some inflammation in his small bowel that showed up on his colonoscopy. Doctor thinks it got that way from the clean out procedure he had to do. He had one polyp removed that they say was the fast growing type but no cancer were found and for that I am so thankful!

It's still a dreary morning here but the weather people are saying it is to clear out later today but I am a little optimistic on that! Guess we will see.

Today I want to share with you one of the treats we made at my stamp get together with my friends. We made a slew of Halloween things but this one was my absolute favorite!

Kelsey was in Ocean City, Maryland a few weeks prior to my Halloween get together and I had her pick me up a bucket of Fisher's Caramel Popcorn from the boardwalk and we used that in a 3 X 6 Cello Bag to put inside the popcorn boxes. Something different than chocolate and of course we all loved munching on the popcorn after we filled our bags!

Halloween Popcorn Boxes:

Stamps: Trick or Treat (retired)
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White, Spooky Night DSP
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Circles & Starburst Punches, Rhinestones, Pumpkin Pie 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Halloween Night Bakers Twine, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

After having much success with these for Halloween, I am thinking of doing these up for Christmas with several different things in the cello bags. I can already see these decorated for the holidays!
Can't wait!

Ready to Pop / Popcorn Box Thinlits

Hello & Happy Saturday!

The other evening I had a few minutes to pop down to my stamp table so I decided to pull out the Popcorn Box Thinlits along with it's coordinating stamp set called Ready to Pop. I have had this bundle since the new catalog came out 2 months ago and I finally gave it some attention. The reason I got this was because I thought about using it for craft shows and filling it with treats that were in season.

Anyways, this is a sample of my first popcorn box. I did not have much time to play and use all the dies in the thinlits but I promise I will soon. This box is much smaller than what I was expecting but one good thing it won't take much to fill it.  It is a perfect size for a nice little treat!

Since my Stacked with Love paper pad was laying out on my table I just decided to use it. Just a reminder that this paper stack is retired as is the small cello bag that I used for some Caramel Popcorn that I picked up in Ocean City, MD last week! That stuff is addicting! LOL
My sentiment is from the Ready to Pop stamp set.
I think this would be awesome to make for Thanksgiving and filling it with a Blessing Mix or Christmas and filling with the White Chocolate Snack Mix! The possibilities are endless!

Ready To Pop Popcorn Thinlits:

Stamps: Ready To Pop
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Real Red
Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black, Stacked with Love DSP (retired)
Accessories: Popcorn Box Thinlits, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Small Cello Bag (retired), Real Red Cotton Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Cute, cute, cute!

My thought for today......

Speaking of bike riding.....we are hoping the temps will cool down by this evening so we can pack up our bikes and go for a ride! It's been about 3 weeks since we last rode them. I'm excited for a nice break in our weather the next couple of days to get out and get some bike therapy!

Well, that is all for me on this Saturday!

Thanks for taking time to stop by and enjoy your day!
