Merry Monday Challenge #176

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday! Sue is our hostess this week so let's get to it!

Luckily, I already had my wreath & ribbon stamped and cut out. I just had to decide on paper and what I was going to do for a frame. I already had borrowed my friend Deb's On Film Framelits for another project but just then it hit me to use them. I cut out a Real Red frame and my wreath fit perfectly inside of it! WooHoo! I am so happy with how my card turned out!

Merry Monday Challenge 176 Card:

Stamps: Wonderous Wreath, Petite Pairs
Ink: Smoky Slate, Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: On Film Framelits, Wonderful Wreath Framelits, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to get inspired by all the wonderful creations the ladies made this week! I love so many of their idea's! I also hope you will join in & play along! Christmas is coming quick!

That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #104

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We got the fence put up this weekend for Gigi & Bailee so now they can run in the backyard. You should have seen their faces when I opened the kitchen door on Saturday evening and left them go out without being on the leash. Both girls sat there and looked at us until we encouraged them to go. Oh they loved running around and playing together! They finally got their Christmas gift....a fenced in yard!

So, today since it's Monday that means it's time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday!
Let's get to it!

This week our hostess is the talented Karen Davis and she gave us a color challenge.
I rather loved these colors and was so pleased that my card turned out exactly the way I envisioned.

Hope you can drop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week. So many awesome idea's!

Ways To Use It Challenge 453~Wreaths!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

As busy as I have been this week I have made time to hit the stamp room for a couple of challenges this week. It is surely making the week go by quickly!

Today's Ways To Use It Challenge is to use Wreaths! I can do that!

I made 2 projects!
Here we go!

I don't have many wreath stamps but the one that I used on my card is from PaperTreyInk. I just adore this stamp because it can be used at any time of the year!

Wreath Card:

Stamps: PaperTreyInk, Greetings of the Season
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red
Cardstock: Neenah White, Real Red, Kraft
Accessories: Swiss Dots EF, Circle Nestibilities, Button, Twine, Dimensionals, Liquid Mono

My next project is a tissue box cover! I did a bunch of these up for the craft show this year but it ended up being cancelled.

Tissue Box Cover:

Stamps: Petite Pairs
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Whisper White, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP
Accessories: Lg & Scallop Oval Punches, Real Red Stitched Ribbon, Gold Beads, Felt Accessories, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, Liquid Mono

I will share the rest of my tissue boxes in the coming weeks since the holidays are quickly approaching.

Hope you enjoyed my Wreath Projects today!

I'm off now to get my supper made.
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #71

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
It was another busy one here!
Saturday, we ran to the local orchard for tomatoes to make our yearly batches of salsa and Sunday we spent all day making it! I shouldn't say "we" as it was mostly Shawn doing the work. I just popped into the kitchen here & there to clean up after him a few times but for the most part I stayed downstairs and stamped the time away!

So, here we are at Monday again and that means it's time for another sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. The sketch she gave us for Merry Monday is an easy one! I hope you can find some time to play along this week and to also stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Maker's have created....lots of inspiration!

I used my new pack of holiday paper from Stampin Up called Winter's Frost. This comes from the 12 X 12 pack. I was inspired with the colors & snowflakes that are in the paper.
I used a Spellbinder's Create A Snowflake set 1 for most of the snowflakes. I had to overlap some to make them fit in the sketch but I do like the look of it. I added some different sized rhinestones for a bit of sparkle. I also pulled my colors from the paper, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay & Pool Party. Sounds like something from the tropics! :)

Merry Monday Week #71 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from SU
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Winter's Frost DSP
Accessories: Spellbinders Create A Snowflake 1, Bermuda Bay Taffeta, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you can join us this week!

Well, that is all for me today!
Another busy day ahead!
Today is my Dad's 78th birthday and I am cooking a big supper for my parents & all the kids tonight. I'm tired just thinking about it but I am happy to do it! There isn't nothing I wouldn't do for my Dad!! :)

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #58

Hello & Happy Monday!

What a busy weekend! I'm almost happy that it's Monday! LOL
Hubby edged and mulched all the flower beds and tilled a nice little garden for 75 strawberry plants this weekend. I'm excited for them to get planted as soon as our weather stays above freezing! He even made his way around the neighborhood to meet some of our neighbors after living here a year and a half. I did not help with any of the outdoors stuff as I have enough issues with my back so I just kinda supervised. I love anything with the flowers & mulching but with my recent back problems....I wasn't about to tempt it! I must say, he did a wonderful job with the flower beds and they look great! :)

As for me, well, when I was not outside supervising, I was downstairs in my stamp room organizing & rearranging lots of stuff. It will probably take me a month of Sundays to find where everything is! I did try to label my drawers & containers so I know where to look for stuff. I realized I have SO much in stamps & designer papers that I could probably go 10 years without purchasing anything but adhesives! My stamp selves are stuffed full, my ribbon drawers are stuffed full as well. It's crazy! I rearranged all my cardstocks & ink pads for the upcoming color change with Stampin Up and did inventory on all my cello bags. I think i'm good to go for awhile!!! LOL Just don't tell that to Shawn!!!

Anyways, since it's Monday that means it's time for another sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper. She gave us a super awesome layout this week! Hope you can find sometime to play along with us. Before long you'll have a nice stack of cards made way before the holidays get here!

Merry Monday Week #58 Card:

Stamps: Petite Pairs (sentiment), Dasher
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Early Espresso, Island Indigo, Festival of Prints DS, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Circle Punches, Island Indigo Ribbon, Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Quick, easy & fun!

Stop by Lesley's blog to see what the other Merry Makers have created this week! Lots of awesome creations! :)

Well, my hubby has the day off to rest up! LOL
Gigi is going to get groomed this afternoon and while she is there, Shawn & I are going out to a late lunch with my Mom & Dad. My Mom's birthday was last week so I guess we need to celebrate! After that is a long awaited trip to Christmas Tree Shoppe! Oh how I love that store!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!!

Merry Monday July Challenge

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's Monday again and that means it's time for another Merry Monday sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper! This month she is doing something a little different. She is taking some time off from blogging to get some much needed R&R but highly encourages everyone to still participate and get those Christmas cards made! The challenge is to go back thru the past Merry Monday sketches and pick one a week and make another card. At the end of July she will pick 4 winners which will become Guest Designers in the future. Hope you will stop on over to her blog and check out the fabulous cards made by the other Merry Markers and play along with us this week/month!

So, for my card this week I chose a sketch from a few weeks ago, sketch #25. It was the tent topper card but I did not make mine that way originally. This time I made it into a tent topper card.

I seen this ribbon wreath done in the last few years and I was always intimidated by making one thinking they would be hard! I was determined to finally make my own ribbon wreath and at first it was a little tricky but I did it!!! I thought about this sketch for a few days and knew that I wanted to make the ribbon wreath. I could picture it in the white with some gold beads & a gold bow. It was not hard at all and I love the outcome! I will be making more of these in the future! :)

Merry Monday Challenge (Week #25 Sketch):

Stamps: Petite Pairs (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: PTI White, Brushed Metallic Gold
Accessories: 1/4 White Grosgrain, Circle & Lacey Circle Nestibilties, Gold Bead, Gold Ribbon, Multi Mono Liquid Glue, Hot Glue Gun, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for me today!
Hope you can find some time to play along this week and let's get those Christmas cards made! It might be 100 degrees out now but Christmas will be here before you know it!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #23

Hello & Happy Monday!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
I'm back this week as a Merry Maker after taking last week off. I ended up playing along with the Merry Monday Challenge anyways so I would have all 22 cards completed but also to help me move forward. Losing Fluffy has left such a huge void in our lives & hearts but each day it's getting a little bit better. Today is 2 weeks now without her smiling little face & wagging tail. We miss her so much!

So, now it's time for another terrific sketch from Lesley from over at Always Playing With Paper! I have grown to love her sketches and have enjoyed this challenge very much so! Her sketches are simple and that in itself makes you want to grab all your Christmas supplies and play along! Above is the link to where you can get lots of inspiration from Lesley and the rest of the Merry Makers so please be sure to pop on over and check it out!

I loved this week's sketch but had a terrible time with getting my sentiment in the upper right hand corner! At first I had cut out the actual sentiment that comes with this set in an oval shape but it covered too much of my embossed tree so I had to think smaller! I'm happy with the end results now!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #23 Card:

Stamps: Snow Swirled, Petite Pairs (sentiment)
Ink: Night of Navy, VersaMark
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Silver Shiny Paper, Silver Glitter Paper, Neenah White
Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Circle & Scallop Circle Nestibilties, SU Scallop Edge Border Punch, Night of Navy Satin Ribbon, Heat Gun, Silver Embossing Powder, Hot Glue Gun, Silver Beads, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for me today!
Hope you liked my card for this week and will play along with us!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!
