Humble Home Congratulations!

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Friends!

I had my blog started a bit earlier this morning and then poof, our power went out!
After about 90 minutes it came back on which gave me enough time to shower and clean up the back porch from the overnight storms we had. It had stormed most of the night which woke me up maybe twice with a few cracks of thunder but boy, did it ever rain!

Today I wanted to show you a card I made using the Humble Home set that came out last year in the 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog. This card is a "Congratulations on your New Home"!

Card Details:

Stamps: Humble Home, School Days (Online Exclusives)
Ink: Shy Shamrock (In Color), Versamark
Cardstock: Shy Shamrock (In Color), Strawberry Slush (In Color), Basic White, On The Go DSP (Online Exclusives)
Accessories: Tasteful Textiles 3D EF (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Humble Home Builder Punch, Classic Label Punch (retired), Heat Gun, White Embossing Powder, Shy Shamrock Shimmer Gems (retired), Mini Dimensionals, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I thought this card was super fun with those pretty colors!
The DSP with the different types of keys on was the perfect addition for this new home card!
I just love it!

Well, I have a busy day ahead as long as the power stays on! I know that may be asking alot since we are in for more storms today. Fingers crossed!!!

New Home-Christmas Card

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!

We are in for another rainy day which we really do need but I feel like lately we've had quite a few cloudy, dreary days! I loved the sunshine and 50's yesterday and I know they are short lived as we have some really cold temps coming! So, today I have another card to share that I made last week as part of Audrey's card order. She requested a card for her grandson & his wife that just bought their 1st home. She also asked if I could make it Christmas-y!
Oh boy, I had alot of fun with this one!

Card Details:

Stamps: Humble Home, Snowy Wonder, Inkadinkadoo
Ink: Garden Green, Versamark, Stampin Blends-Real Red, Garden Green
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic White, Pecan Pie, Take A Bow DSP
Accessories: Snowy Wonder Dies, Humble Home Builder Punch, White Loose Snowflakes, Red & White Twine, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

As soon as she asked about a card for the new house my mine went right to the snow globe dies in the Snowy Wonder bundle and this worked out perfectly! The little wreath on the house was stamped colored and fussy cut, then placed on the house with a small dimensional. I loved everything about this card and so did Audrey!
I thought about making this a shaker card but I wasn't sure if Audrey was mailing this or not so I just left it as is. What do you think?

Congratulations On Your New Home!

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

My hubby went back to work this morning after 2 weeks off. I felt like I haven't got much done in the last 2 weeks with everyone being sick but we did manage to get Christmas put away which is usually the plan before he goes back to work. I have been getting some cleaning done but not as much as I hoped. Yesterday I could not function to save my sole. I crawled in my recliner and off to sleep I went. We were up late the night before watching the Ravens/Steelers football game and it was a rainy, dreary day!  The cloudiness got the best of me. We are all still dealing with lingering cold symptoms from Covid which is another reason I think our energy levels are not back to normal yet.

So, today I have a cute Congratulations card to share that I made weeks ago for Audrey. Her grandson recently had a new home built and she wanted to send him a card. This is what I made for her...

That pretty paper was from the last SaleABRation offering in 2022 called Rings of Love DSP.
This sheet was perfect with those adorable little houses in it! And how perfect for a guy, too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sentiment from Inkadinkadoo
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Basic White, Rings of Love DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Audrey was pleased with the card which always makes me happy!
I need to sit soon and work on a few more cards like this for on my card rack which has been picked almost clean in the last 2 months. I still need to get my 2023 calendars done! *sigh*

Congratulations!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was such a gorgeous, sunny, warm day but I missed it all.
My dear hubby was home yesterday still dealing with pain so he went to the doctor.
After 2 hours at the doctor office, they sent him to the hospital for a CT Scan just to make sure we were dealing with a Kidney Stone and not his Diverticulitis.
We spent 3 hours sitting there while he drank contrast then got his test done.
They held us there until the findings could be sent to his doctor asap.
Turns out it is a Kidney Stone and not the Diverticulitis which was a good thing, I guess.
He isn't able to return to work until he passes it since he does not feel good with it.
Nauseated and running fever off & on so the doctor thought it best he stay put.
The stone itself is a large one but felt as though he could pass it with out any harsh measures.
Over the years Shawn has passed quite a few large ones so fingers crossed he will be ok with this one.

This morning I am off to a doctor appointment.
Just a 6 month check up then back home.
I hope to get some crafting time in!
Our weather is not suppose to be as lovely as yesterday since they are calling for showers.
Guess it will be a good day to stamp, right?!

I have a card to share today that I made for my card lady.
She has a friend that was moving into a small cottage and asked for something that would fit the bill.
This card was made last Fall so that is why I went with the Fall colors.

The little house image was from a Stampin Up set that I do not own.
I borrowed it from my BFF many years ago, Matter of fact, it was when I moved to Missouri that she left me take it with me. I stamped off some images and sent it back to her and that was almost 10 years ago! If I find the name I will add it to my description below!
The little house/cottage was perfect for what I needed it for. I diecut it and added a Pumpkin Pie Enamel Heart and an Old Olive Taffeta bow.
My sentiment comes from the First Frost stamp set which is still current.

Card Details:

Stamps: Stampin Up (not sure of the name), First Frost - sentiment
Ink: Old Olive, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Old Olive, Whisper White, Welcome Neighbor DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Pumpkin Pie Enamel Heart (retired), Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It did turn out rather cute and my card lady was pleased with it!

Treehouse Adventures

Hello & Happy Friday!

I realized it's been over a week since I last posted.
Ryan's sickness has me taking a back seat to doing any crafting.
He's been sick most of this week and in bed for the most part.
Finally the doctor called and got him some medicine to help with the nausea.
I feel so bad for him and the suffering he is going thru.
The doctor is still waiting on pending test results. This test is very involved and will tell the tale of what is going on with him. He is also set up to see a Gastro doctor next Tuesday.
I will be honest...I wish it was sooner!!
He looks terrible and completely exhausted and just not himself.
Whatever is making him sick I hope they find out soon because each & everyday I am growing more & more concerned about his overall health. Today it is 1 month since this all began.
We were told that yesterday (Thursday) or today (Friday) that the test results would be in.
My fingers are crossed that today we will know more!

Yesterday while he slept most of the afternoon I did pop down to my stamp table for maybe an hour or so. I wasn't sure where to start since my mojo has been completely zapped.
I started with using this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge.
I also used Treehouse Adventures for a Congrats card.
Here is the sketch & my card.

I loved the dolphin in the inspiration picture but sadly I do not have a dolphin stamp.
Instead, I used the little house from the Treehouse Adventures set to create a card for a new home owner. The inside is blank to write a personal message.

Card Details:

Stamps: Treehouse Adventures, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Green, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Crumb Cake DSP. Whisper White
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Triple Banner Punch, Up & Away Thinlits, Blueberry Bushel 1/8 Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dot, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That is all I have for now.
If you could please say alittle prayer today for Ryan, it would be much appreciated.
Going to skip the "My thoughts today" since my thoughts are all over the place.

Thanks for stopping by...

Pineapple Punch

Hello & Happy Friday!

The muggy weather is back today and my AC has been turned back on.
I was just saying to my neighbor last evening how nice the last 2 days were.
I heard we are back to rain everyday for the next week but that is one thing we really need!
Our grass is brown.

So, today I have a quick card using an old set called Fresh Fruits from 2005.
I paired it with a new In Color called Pineapple Punch.

Pineapple Punch is literally the color of pineapples...almost reminds me of YoYo Yellow from back in the day! It's pretty bright!
Anyone else remember that color?

If you look closely under the pineapple panel I have snuck in a piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock that was embossed with the Petal Pairs Embossing Folder. I placed my panel on a slant just to add some texture to my card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Fresh Fruits (retired)
Ink: Pineapple Punch, Garden Green, Early Espresso
Cardstock: Pineapple Punch, Whisper White, Pineapple Punch DSP (In Color DSP)
Accessories: Petal Pair EF, Pineapple Punch 1/8 Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wanted to make some "Welcome to the Neighborhood" or "Congrats on Your New Home" style cards for on my card rack and I really love the pineapple stamp for that!
I know it's an old stamp set but it still makes some of the nicest cards!
I guess that is why I still have SO many older stamp sets in my collection!
I just cannot part with them!

Seems fitting to go with my Pineapple card today!

That is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your Friday!

Congrats!

Hello & Happy Monday!

It sure was a nice weekend around here!
We got out yesterday and took a 15 mile bike ride instead of sitting at home watching the Ravens lose once again! On our ride we finally seen the train that we will be riding on next weekend for the Ghost Tracks event! I'm excited for it!

Here are the pictures of the train on the Rail Trail.

The Steam Into History train has lots of fun activities most of the year!
Yesterday the train ride was for checking out the Fall Foliage which there isn't too much of a change yet. They also have one with Santa during the holidays which I might have to check out sometime!

Today is my day for housework which is never fun.
Before I get started I wanted to share a card I made for my customer.
She requested a Congrats card for her grandson who just purchased his first home.

Lots of older things on this card but in the end it all came together nicely!

Congrats Card:

Stamps: You Brighten My Day SAB 15, Sentiment from Inkadinkado
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Basic Grey- Granola
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, What's Up Punch, Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Brads, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
