Thank You Notes

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Our weather today is to be rain, snow & ice and by day's end our temps are going to bottom out!
I think most of the US is under the gun for drastic cold weather.
I got my extra quilt ready to put on the bed tonight! Burrrr

Today I have one last pack of Thank You notes to share that were a customer request.
I used some All My Love DSP on these.
It's so pretty!

My sentiment comes from the Petal Palette stamp set.
So quick & easy using the Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes!

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette
Ink: Soft Seafoam
Cardstock: Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes, Soft Seafoam, Whisper White, All MY Love DSP
Accessories: Oval Layering Framelits, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My thoughts today.....

Yesterday was my dermatology appointment.
My doctor suggested I start light therapy to help get my psoriasis under control.
The ointment helps with the itch but it's not calming it down any.
Yes, winter is hard on one's skin but a person with psoriasis is 20 times worse.
Mine has been flaring up the past several months and it continues to flare.
My scalp, forehead, lower eye lid, nose and both ears have been hit pretty hard with red spots, flaking & itch. Since I have a steroid cream for my skin, I cannot use it anywhere on my face or scalp because it causes thinning of the skin.
We talked about taking something in pill form or biologics but the side effects for those are horrible and doctor doesn't want to go that route just yet.
Light Therapy is actually really good for people with Eczema & Psoriasis.
They always suggest 15 minutes a day of sunshine for these types of people.
It helps inflammation, itch and eventually can make the spots/plaques go away almost putting it into remission. This is the route the doctor wants me to go twice a week for 3 months.
He said that if this helps me that I could get a kit to do it at home eventually.
Psoriasis is for life because there is NO cure but can be manageable.
I am still learning as I go and hope for some good results because I do not want to go on any medications especially something like those with horrible side effects!
I'll keep ya posted!

Thanks for stopping by & stay safe out there!

Petal Palette Anniversary

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying the weekend!
Yesterday was a busy day as our new bed was delivered.
I needed to go out shopping for new bed linens & blankets since we upgraded from a queen to a king.
It takes up the majority of the space in our bedroom.
Not sure I am liking the cramped feeling in there but the bed itself is comfy and just SO big!

This morning I am off to get my haircut and grab a couple things at the store on my way home.
Then I will start working on some laundry and getting my house put back together.

I do have a set of cards to show today using the Petal Palette set and a new set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called To Have and To Hold.

I took a whole sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 Whisper White cardstock and just randomly stamped my rose images all over with Memento Black ink then took my Stampin Blends and colored them.
Took me awhile as my hands start hurting when I do alot of coloring. I then cut it down into stripes of 1 3/4 x 5 1/2 and layered them with Old Olive cardstock that is 2 x 5 1/2.
My sentiment was stamped with Memento Black and diecut using the New Stitched Rectangle Framelits. Those dies are awesome!
My Real Red cardbase was stamped with a smaller image from the Petal Palette set in the same color ink.

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, To Have and To Hold
Ink: Memento Black, Real Red, Stampin Blends- Real Red, Old Olive
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I have been trying to work ahead while I had some extra time on my hands last week!
I have a busy week coming up with getting my housework done and preparing for my Stamp Day w Friends next Saturday. I will have 6 ladies joining me for 3 cards & a treat project!
I also have a doctor appointment tomorrow at the Dermatologist.
My Psoriasis has been a bit challenging the last few weeks.
And with this cold winter weather....the itch is crazy!
I scratch until it bleeds. *sigh*

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Congratulations

Hello & Happy Thursday!

They are saying one more day of this hot weather and a cold front is to come thru.
I am counting down the minutes!
So over running the AC and waiting patiently to be able to sleep with the windows open!
Yes, that's always music to my ears!

So, today I have a summery card to share.
I made this for on my card rack as I always try to think ahead of what any of my customers would want. Sometimes they need for a job promotion or an engagement.
This card could work for either occasion.

This is pretty simple and straight forward.
My sentiment comes from the Lilypad Lake stamp set.
The roses are colored with the Flirty Flamingo & Granny Apple Green Stampin Blends.

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, Lilypad Lake
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo DSP
Accessories: Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at my stamp table finishing up a card order and working on Halloween Treats. I love this time of year with Fall & Halloween coming!
What is your favorite time of the year?

Petal Palette Sympathy Set

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your all enjoying this Labor Day weekend.
Nothing special going on here.
Our weather has been pretty blah.  Rainy, foggy and humid as in tropical!

Friday late afternoon we got Ryan's test results.
Which were again, negative.
With that news we move on to seeing a Gastro doctor.
Ryan finally got out of bed on Friday, showered and ate.
He looked a bit better but you can tell he's drained.
I pray that he soon finds out what's going on.

I did make my way downstairs a bit on Friday & Saturday afternoons.
I started some Halloween treats which I will soon share.
I also have a card order to work on.
Stamping helps take my mind off the medical issues but my mojo is slow to come around.

This pack of cards are part of the card order.
2 packs of Sympathy were requested.
I managed one pack so far.

She asked for Fall colors so I pulled out some Pumpkin Pie and started playing around.
I love the Petal Palette Bundle and try to use it often.
This cluster of roses is just so pretty and I paired my flowers with the Petal Pairs Embossing Folders.
I love the added texture this embossing folder brings.
Some 1/4 White Organza Ribbon and my sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases set and it's complete.
I'm happy with these!

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, Flourishing Phrases (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Stamping Blends (Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive)
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Accessories: Petals & More Thinlit Dies, Petal Pairs EF, 1/4 White Organza Ribbon, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm hoping to get back on track with posting this week except for Tuesday.
Ryan's doctor appointment is that day.

My thoughts today.....

Hard to believe that September is here!
The leaves in my neck of the woods are no where near ready to change colors and fall to the ground since we are still having summer weather but I am SO ready for Fall and cooler weather with beautiful Fall foliage. Can't come soon enough!

That is all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day!

Petal Palette & Perennial Birthday

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well.
I have been in a fog lately.
Yesterday we had a cold front come thru and our weather changed for the better!
Last night we slept with the windows open which we have not done in quite awhile.
This cooler weather is much welcomed and I am hoping we can find some time to get the bikes out!
I think a nice bike ride might get me out of this funk i've been in.

Yesterday I went to my stamp table to try to create something.
I had this card idea on my phone but have no idea who or where it came from.
There was only a small snippet of it in the picture so I tried my hardest to create something just from that one small corner of the card.
This is the picture on my phone and then the card I created.....

I'm not sure why this was on my phone but I was drawn to the colors!

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, Perennial Birthday
Ink: Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo
Cardstock: Emerald Envy, Thick Whisper White
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Petal Pairs Embossing Folders, Emerald Envy 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Those colors look great together, don't they?
Emerald Envy retired the end of May, sadly.
I have a ton of this ribbon so i'm sure you'll be seeing more of this around in the future!

Enjoy Life & Petal Palette

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A late update today!
I went to my stamp table this morning and just got lost in creating so that is why the late update.

In the new catalog there is a new stamp set from a million dollar achiever called Enjoy Life.
I liked all the great sayings in it and there is also a bike in it too! Right up my alley!
I had no idea what I was going to make and just started grabbing stuff.
This is my outcome....

I started this card with pulling out some new In Color DSP and it just went from there. I grabbed a Basic Black card base and thought it looked good with it. My saying comes from the Enjoy Life set and my flowers and Basic Black branch is from the Petal Palette Bundle. In the end it turned out pretty nicely!

Card Details:

Stamps: Enjoy Life, Petal Palette
Ink: Basic Black Archival, Grapefruit Grove
Cardstock: Basic Black, Grapefruit Grove, Whisper White, In Color DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Petals & More Framelits, Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon, Black Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

So what do you think?
Does the Grapefruit Grove look good with Basic Black?
Tomorrow I will pull out another In Color and play with it! The NEW In Colors are SO pretty!

My thoughts today....

Yep!
It's almost bedtime!

Thanks for stopping by & I will catch you tomorrow!
Sweet dreams!

Petal Palette

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Sunday already! This long holiday weekend is flying by!
Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend my afternoon at my stamp table.
I did some reorganizing with the new reinkers and got to play with some ink as well. No one distracting me except my belly when it was time for supper! LOL

The card I have to share today I made one day last week when I had some scraps laying out on my table. It just uses up some soon to be VERY pretty Painted with Love DSP.

I pulled out the Quilted Top EF to use on this...I really like the texture it brings to a card!
I also used some retired Rich Razzleberry Ribbon on this since it matched my cardstock. I have a slew of this type of ribbon that I snagged off the Clearance Rack awhile ago so I better use it up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Powder Pink, Painted with Love DSP
Accessories: Quilt Top EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rich Razzleberry Stitched Ribbon, Gold Metallic Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Just a simple design with texture and a whole lot of pretty with that DSP!
Painted with Love is probably one of my favorite papers!
 Do you have a favorite?

********************************************************
My thoughts today.....

Here in PA it is a very humid day!
Our weather right now is sunny with thunderstorms this afternoon. My AC is still cranked on!
Hubby is doing a pork roast in the smoker today to have pulled pork sandwiches for supper.
Other than that, not much else going on and that's fine by me.
Maybe I can squeeze in more stamping time!

Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

Petal Palette

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Yesterday we woke up to some heavy snow showers that lasted up till lunchtime then the sun came out. It was cold & breezy so no walk on the Rail Trail. Our snow is melting but not fast enough for me. So, we lounged most of the day downstairs with a fire in the fireplace and watched tv. I was going to make some cards while we were downstairs but I left my hands relax instead.

Today I want to share the Petal Palette card that we made on Saturday.
This one was a favorite!

The bold black lined paper is from the Tutti Fruitti Paper pad. We also added some Clear Wink of Stella to our roses once again. It just makes them shimmer!

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, Colorful Seasons (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Tutti Fruitti DSP
Accessories: Petals & More Thinlits, Bermuda Bay Ribbon, Clear Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I've used this rose image so much that I think it's time to start using some of the other stamps in the set. It's filled with lots of images & sentiments but I keep coming back to that beautiful rose stamp!

Petal Palette

Hello & Happy Friday!

So happy the weekend is here!
Hopefully that sun will continue shining brightly to melt the snow!

Today I have a set of cards to share that was for my customer.
I made her a card a few weeks ago thanking her for a sweet treat she gave us and she loved the card so she ordered a pack but changed out the sentiment to a Thinking of You.

I'm not sure if you can tell in the last picture but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the roses for some shimmer. It really makes them stand out.

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Petal & More Thinlits, Garden Trellis EF, White Pearls, Clear Wink of Stella, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think I am hooked on those roses! I designed a card to make with my stamp friends using this set.
I will share it with you next week!

Pretty Petal Palette Card Set

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Another busy day ahead for me but a good kind of busy!
Been doing a bunch of stuff around the house trying to get my Spring cleaning done.
Today will be the last of it, I hope!

Yesterday our Nor'easter was a flop! So happy about that! We had maybe at most 2 inches of snow which melted rather quickly! Did not make me mad one bit but I know snow lovers were disappointed. It's time to bring on SPRING! 🌷🌸🌞

Last week I sat down and made a pack of cards to put on my card rack for sale.
I used the lovely Petal Palette Bundle.

I'm not usually one to use black for much unless it's Halloween but I think the Red, White & Black color combo is very striking! I love how these turned out!
I used the Basket Weave Embossing Folder on my White panel. It may be a bit hard to see but if you click on the pictures you may see it better.

Card Set Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette, Perennial Birthday
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Petals & More Thinlits, Basket Weave EF, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Red Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

**********************************************************
My thoughts today.....

My hands have been bothering me, terribly!
I wake up during the night with pain and numbness in both hands.
This is sorta how I feel. I will push on even if I have to glue those suckers back on!

That is all now!
Thanks for stopping by & make it a great day!

Petal Palette Thank You

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day!
Finally got some brilliant sunshine which really perked up the green grass!
The sunshine was much welcomed!

I wanted to get to my stamp table and finish up a few projects yesterday.
I was inspired by all the beautiful cards I have been seeing around because when I first seen the stamp set I was not at all interested in getting it.
Well, after seeing many cards...I caved and ordered the set.
This is my first creation with it...

I needed a Thank You card for my wonderful customer, Audrey!
Yesterday she brought us a dozen of fasnachts! She helps out at her church each year during lent and she knows how much we love those donuts! They are the best donut ever!
So, to thank her I wanted to make her something special.

Card Details:

Stamps: Petal Palette
Ink: Memento Black, Basic Black Archival, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Accessories: Petals & More Thinlit Dies, Petal Pairs Embossing Folders, Daffodil Delight 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dots, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was having a great time playing with this stamp set! So glad I got it!!

*************************************************************
My thoughts today..

Hoping the sun stays out for us most of today then we are in for a nor'easter the next 2 days.
Gloom & doom with lots of rain! Blah!

That is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
