Thank You Cards

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Friends!

Yesterday turned out to be quite a washout. Lots of rain & crazy winds. I hope this isn't any indication of what our spring weather is going to be like.

Today I have a quick set of Thank You cards to share that I made up with some Deja View papers from my stash. I have no idea where I got the paper or even how long ago but it was time to use her up! My card lady is always ordering Thank You cards so I'm sure these will get put to good use the next time she asks.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Basic White, Deja View -Dog Days Collection Dog Stripes & Dog Flowers
Accessories: Nested Essentials Dies, Subtle EF (retired), Low Profile Dots (Online Exclusives), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I used the Subtle EF on my cardbase front for a bit of interest. I choose this one because I wanted something subtle and nothing that clashed with the prints on my papers. It was just enough!
I said this year I was going to start pulling out all the inks, stamps & papers that have collected dust over the years and i'm thrilled to actually be doing just that! I'm hoping to get a big enough stash of cards made up that when Audrey calls and orders I can just pull them from the bin and add them in her basket. I have been making cards for her for 13 years and I pretty much know most of the time what she's going to ask for (I keep notes of what she's ordered). However, she does surprise me at times, too! She definitely keeps me on my toes! LOL

Sympathy Card for Customer

 Good Sunday Morning, Friends!

Hope your having a nice weekend! It's a rainy morning here and we are under a high wind warning for some really gusty winds that are to start around noon and last into Monday. I am staying put inside today and getting Audrey's card order started. Yesterday we ran a few errands in the morning and then ran up to the restaurant for a quick supper. All this bad weather is keeping people at home. Kelsey said it's been very slow.

Today I am sharing a card I made at the request of Kelsey for a customer at the restaurant that recently passed away. His wife still comes in to eat quite often and Kels thought it would be a nice gesture to take up a collection for her and get a gift card to give her with the card. She asked for the sympathy card to have an old car on it because the old cars were this man's passion & hobby. This is what I made for her...

Card Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts Sentiment
Ink: Cajun Craze
Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Basic White, He's The Man DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Cajun Craze Twine (retired), Rustic Metallic Dots (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

She had all the people that work there sign the card. I'm not sure how much was collected but I am so happy to see her doing for others. In that line of work she is always telling me different stories about the people that come in. She is such a friendly person & very talkative too! She must get that from her Dad! LOL

That's the advice I tell Kelsey all the time.

Christmas Lights

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Friends!

Today I have a pretty set of holiday cards to share using a retired set from 2022.
The Light Aglow Suite was really popular then and I remember the DSP selling out quick. I managed to grab 2 packs of it during demonstrator preorder and that was it. It really was a beautiful suite!

Card Details:

Stamps: Christmas Lights (retired), Hero Arts Sentiment
Ink: Evening Evergreen (retired)
Cardstock: Evening Evergreen (retired), Soft Succulent (retired), Basic White, Gold Foil Paper, Lights Aglow DSP (retired)
Accessories: Twinkling Lights Dies (retired), Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Gold/Vanilla Ribbon (retired), Gold Swirls (retired), Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Stampin Seal Adhesive

I love these and may keep these for myself!
I miss the Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen colors that were In Colors a few years ago so I wanted to start using up what I have. Thankfully I stocked up on lots of cardstock!
Eventually there will probably be more cards made with this suite of products.

Sending Lemon Smiles

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

Hope your enjoying your weekend!
Yesterday I had a pajama day.
Shawn relaxed and watched tv so I decided to do some fun crafting at my stamp table!

I watched a FB Live from the Kitchen Table Stamper on Friday and remembered I picked up these Lemon Kit Kats before Easter that I never used. I paired the 2 together to make some sweet treats to give out. These are sure to bring lots of smiles!

Here is the link for the video to make your own!

These little triangle boxes come together so easy and they are sized to fit just a few pieces of candy!

Once I got my cardstock cut & scored I traced the triangle front and made a template so I could cut DSP to fit. My DSP is from last year's Gingham Gala which was perfect for my box. I used the retired Lemon Zest stamp set & Lemon Builder Punch. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Once I threaded my Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon thru the holes to hold the box together I tied a big bow and lastly I added some Granny Apple Green Glittered Enamel Dots to the front of my box and called it done.

I love how they turned out!
Thank you, Marisa from Kitchen Table Stamper for sharing her creativity with us!

Project Details:

Stamps: Lemon Zest (retired), Hero Art Ssentiment
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Memento Black
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP (retired)
Accessories: Lemon Builder Punch (retired), Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon, Granny Apple Green Glittered Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I picked up the Lemon Kit Kats at my local Giant grocery store back before Easter.
I am not sure if they still have them or not.
I was pretty skeptical when I bought them not knowing how good they were.
I think they are pretty good for being lemon! YUM!

I say instead of making lemonade, make some sweet treats!

That's all for today!

Peppermint Patty Boxes

Hello & Happy Thursday!

The week is moving along pretty quick!
I am up early this morning with Shawn because I have a list a mile long of things to get wrapped up today! My Holiday Hoopla Stamp Day w Friends is 2 days away and I wish I could say that I was ready! My kits are ready but that's about it!

My card lady called me twice this week to give me card orders and I have been working feverishly to get them done so I can deliver it to her over the weekend.
I know I am pushing myself thin but after this weekend I can then start focusing on my own Christmas and getting my cards addressed and doing some shopping!
I will get there, eventually!

So, today I have a sweet Christmas treat to share.
I know not many people are fans of the York Peppermint Patties but I just love them!
My Peppermint Patty treats usually always sell so that is why I continue to make them.

I don't usually like to make candy treats ahead because I like to see how I can match up some papers to the wrappers on the treats. The York Peppermint Patties have red & green wrappers this year with snowflakes on. I found 3 sheets of this snowflake paper in my stash and used it because it matched so nicely! I took 2 peppermints of each color and stacked them inside the Clear Tiny Treat Boxes that Stampin Up carries. I then cut my paper 2 x 10. Scored each one at 2, 4, 6 & 8. Gave them a nice crease with the bone folder and wrapped them around the box. I found in my stash some red clothes pins and a variety of red buttons. I used retired twine to loop thru my buttons and glued them on under my sentiment panel. The sentiment comes from an old Hero Arts set. I use this set quite often during the holidays because it is perfect sized and a nice font.

Project Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Love Nicole Paper (AC Moore)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Clothes Pins & Buttons from stash, Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I had 3 bags of the candy but only made 10 treat holders.
I kept one bag to put in my candy tray for home!
Yes, out of all the treats I make, the York Peppermint Patties are my favorites!

Do you have a favorite candy for Christmas?

What a nice day on tap!
It was glorious having my windows open to sleep last night!
If only summer would stay like this!

Today I have another pack of cards that I made for the Christmas in July series.
These are also made with the retired set called Thanks Snow Much.

This snowman is one of my favorites and very easy to color.
I paired him up with some retired Holiday Lounge DSP.
This paper has my favorite color in it, Taken With Teal.

Ink: Memento Black, Taken With Teal, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Taken With Teal, Whisper White, Holiday Lounge DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Amuse Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Hershey's Peppermint Bark Bells

Hello & Happy Friday!

It's the last Friday before Christmas!
Do you have all your shopping done?

I have one last treat to share with you.
As I shopped my local grocery store I found these Hershey's Peppermint Bark candies shaped like bells. As a crafter, our minds go to thinking...what can I do with these?!
I remembered this paper from several years back that had bells on. I also recently snagged the Bell Punch from the Clearance Rack, so of course, I bought 2 bags of the candies.
This is what I whipped up!

I filled a 3x6 Gusseted Cello Bag with 8 pieces of candy and then created the pouch to hold it.
I decorated the cardstock with DSP and a punched out bell from Gold Glimmer Paper.
My sentiment is a stamp from Hero Arts that I have had for years and use every Christmas!
The glittery clothes pin at the top came from the Target $1 Bins.

Project Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Emerald Envy (retired), Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Gold Glimmer Paper, Presents & Pinecones DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Bell Punch (retired), Cherry Cobbler Rhinestones, 3 x 6 Gusseted Cello Bags, Gold Glitter Clothes Pins (Target), Stapler, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was pleased with how these turned out and sold every single one of them.
I kept one for myself which I will most likely add a gift card too and give to my mail carrier.
Tis the Season!

Halloween Card Set

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is going well so far!
It really cooled down yesterday but I am not complaining one bit!
I was just happy that I did not have to run the ac!

I have a set of cards today that I whipped up for an order.
I have alot of DSP left from last year called Spooky Night DSP.
I needed something that wasn't spooky scary and felt that paper was great for that!

Those adorable pumpkins are diecut from the DSP from last year using the Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits to cut them out. I love the Stampin Up has done this with many of our DSP's!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sentiment from Hero Arts
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Spooky Night DSP (retired)
Accessories: Patterned Pumpkin Thinlits (retired), Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Orange Rhinestones, Basic Black 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This set was a bit time consuming but well worth it!
This set of cards turned out pretty great, don't ya think?
I just love those happy jacks!

Flannel Shirt Card

Good Morning & Happy Tuesday!

Hope your all having a great week so far!

It's a sunny morning here but rain is to move in this afternoon and I think after that we are in for sunshine the rest of the week! Yipppeee!

I was up half the night with back pain as it started yesterday.
It will definitely be a restful day with an ice pack! Ughh!

I am so excited to share with you a card I made last week from a Debbie Henderson class on making a pocket card for the men in our lives. This one I have been so happy to learn how to make!
We used the Pocket Framelits for this.

I had this sheet of plaid paper in my stash for along time. I recently used it for a card class with my friends and when I seen Debbie's class for this I used up what was left of it. The buttons were from my stash and the smallest I had. This one will most likely get sent to my Dad for Father's Day. I always remember him wearing flannel shirts in the winter.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hero Arts sentiment
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Hot Off The Press Paper
Accessories: Pocket Framelits, Sponge, Buttons, Glue Dots, Tombow Liquid Glue

Using the Pocket Framelits made this card easy to create!

My thoughts today...

I'd be lost without my friends!
