Retiring Stamp Day #34

 Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
It was a nice day on Saturday....we took Bailee out for a walk then we picked Kelsey up and took a trip down to Hunt Valley, Maryland to do some shopping. I've been on the lookout for some patriotic things to decorate. I found exactly what I was looking for! And Kelsey was looking for a new bed set and found a really pretty one!
It was almost 10:30 until we got home! Tired but happy!
Sunday...I never got dressed! It was a rainy day and I just decided to stay in my pj's all day!
Shawn got up and went fishing and brought home a few trout to freeze for another day!
All in all it was a good weekend!

So, today is the last day of my Retiring Stamp Day!
It's day #34 and I used 2 sets for this one!
I used the Love of Leaves stamp set with it's coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies which is on page 115 of the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog plus I used the Birch background stamp that is on page 118 of the same catalog.

I don't think I will ever part with the leaf set....it has been well loved in my stamp room and as far as i'm concerned it will stay well loved!

Card Details:

Stamps: Love of Leaves, Birch
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Basic White, Beauty of The Earth DSP
Accessories: Stitched Leaves Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope you like my card just as much as I do and I hope in some way I have inspired you to use those stamps whether they are retired or not. I love the older stamps and I love breathing new life into them!

Season of Thanks

 Hello & Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a nice weekend!
It was so busy here that I wish we could have a redo!
And with changing the clocks, it has my dogs so off schedule.
Gigi was in the hallway barking at 3:45 because she wanted out & breakfast!
That's a bit tooo early for my liking and I hope in time that they will get back on track or they are going to have a very grumpy mama!

So, today I am sharing the 1st card we made at Saturday's Stamp Day w/ Friends get together. This one uses the Stitched Leaves Dies that came out last year that carried over and some really beautiful papers from the Beauty of the Earth DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: Season of Thanks (retired)
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Basic White, Rich Razzleberry, Bumble Bee, Pumpkin Pie, Beauty of the Earth DSP
Accessories: Pierced Blooms Dies, Stitched Leaves Dies, Champagne Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was one of the favorites and simple to stamp & put together.
I usually have all the diecuts done which makes it faster, too!

Thanksgiving Card Fun Fold

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Yesterday we had our first frost of the season and it looked like it snowed!
It was short lived once the sun came up!
I had a busy day cleaning my downstairs, doing laundry and getting ready for Stamp Day w/ Friends on Saturday morning! The card kits are ready all I have to do is put stamps on the blocks and get my table ready!

Today I have a Fall/Thanksgiving card to share that I made with a mish mash of different things. It is a fun fold but I am not sure of the name.

I started out with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
Then a layer of Harvest Meadow DSP.
Next I took of piece of Crumb Cake cardstock measuring 8 1/4 x 4.
I scored it at 2 3/4 and again at 5 1/2.
I made sure to use my bone folder on each score line so it lays flat.
I then added more of the same DSP to the front and middle sections.
The last panel I added Basic White cardstock.
I know the colors of my leaves are a bit different but I pulled the colors from the package of Harvest Meadow DSP.
Once I had that section finished I adhered it to the middle of my card front.
My leaves were stamped with the Love of Leaves stamp set and diecut with the coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies.
My sentiment was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink using the retired Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. It was diecut then with the Circle Layering Framelits.
The inside saying comes from the Banner Year stamp set which is a favorite!

It was fun to create something different!
Hope you like!

Card Details:

Stamps: Love of Leaves, Lighthearted Leaves (retired), Banner Year
Ink: Misty Moonlight, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Bumble Bee
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Basic White, Misty Moonlight, Harvest Meadow DSP
Accessories: Stitched Leaves Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Champagne Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stitched Leaves Thanksgiving

 Hello & Happy Sunday!

A rainy morning here in PA again today thanks to Tropical Storm Henri off the coast of New Jersey. We are getting some bands of rain off & on but so far it's been a nice rain.

Today I have a pretty Thanksgiving card to share using a mix of products.

I took my Thick Whisper White cardbase and covered it with a piece of Early Espresso DSP that is retired. Then a layer of Basic White cardstock that I diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits then embossed with my favorite Tasteful Textile 3D EF. Then I added my pretty Stitched Leaves (love these!). I then added my sentiment that was stamped in Early Espresso ink and diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits. And of course, I had to fancy up my card with some Metallic Gold Pearls & Gold Cord bow and called it done!
Another pretty Thanksgiving card ready to send out this year!

Card Details:

Stamps: Banner Year
Ink: Early Espresso
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Basic White, Early Espresso DSP (retired), Brushed Metallic Cardstock
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Tasteful Textile 3D EF, Stitched Leaves Dies, Gold Cord, Gold Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was thrilled to see that the Brushed Metallic cardstock carried over this year since I had almost a full package of it left from last year.
I decided to take those beautiful Stitched Leaves Dies and cut into some of it!
The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment comes from the Banner Year stamp set which also carried over this year!
I love that Stampin Up! is doing keeping stamp sets around longer!

It's a rainy, cold day here and I broke down and turned my heat on this morning!
My house holds the dampness so it was time!

I have a Stamp Day w Friends get together scheduled for tomorrow morning that depending on Ryan's test results, I may have to cancel.

Today I have another gift bag to share using those beautiful Stitched Leaves Dies.
This bag is a large bag from the Dollar Tree and I used this one to put my card lady's entire order in.

Gift Bags w/Stitched Leaves Dies

Hello & Happy Thursday!

A beautiful day is on tap here in south central Pennsylvania!
I have the laundry rolling and windows open!
Yesterday Kelsey & I baked a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies!
I'm not a fan of cookies but I did try 2 of them and left the rest for the gang.
Today I have a busy day so i'm going to get to today's update!

My card lady usually requests decorated gift bags especially at this time of year!
She asked for 3 on her last order that were fancied up for Fall so again I used the Stitched Leaves Dies to do them.

Bag #1

Bag #2

Bag #3

The plaid paper is from the Plaid Tidings DSP.
It has definitely become my favorite!
I kept the same layout on each and changed up the paper and color of cardstock.
I added the Gilded Gems on each. I used the largest ones since they are a bit to big to use on cards.
I used Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon & Gold Cord on these.

The bags came from the Dollar Tree and they are the smallest white bags that come 3 for $1.00!
You can't beat the price!

My card lady loved each and every bag!

NEW- Love of Leaves Bundle!!

 Hello & Happy Friday!!!

I'm so glad the weekend is here!

Today I have a card to share that was made with a new stamp set from the August - December Mini Catalog. This is a bundle called Love of Leaves on page 49.
I will be honest....it wasn't on my radar until I seen a few cards posted with it.
All the stitching on these dies is amazing!

Since Stampin Up! now makes their own dies I can't tell you how nicely they cut!
I did get the new Stampin Up! Diecut & Embossing Machine but have not touched it yet since the Magnetic plate is not available. I heard others say it's so smooth when they run their plates thru it unlike the bumps & noises that the Big Shot makes. Once I get the Magnetic Plate I will break it in!

So this card just happened one day as I was playing around with those amazing dies!
Do you see all the stitching it does around each leaf?

Card Details:

Stamps: Love of Leaves
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody, Whisper White, Plaid Tidings DSP
Accessories: Stitched Leaves Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Hammered Metal EF, Banner Punch (retired), Gold Gilded Gems, Gold Cord, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I just love this bundle and see lots of cool things being made with it!

My thoughts today...

My girls go to get groomed tomorrow morning and other than that my weekend is pretty boring! LOL
We rode our bikes the last 2 evenings so since it's to get hot & humid here again today thru Sunday we will hold off on that until a cooler day.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
