First Communion

 Good Morning and Happy Fri-YAY!

The weekend is here but it's to get down right cold with snow happening tomorrow!
My plans....stay warm and hopefully do some crafting!
Going to make chili in the crockpot and call it a day at my stamp table.
But before we start complaining about the cold & snow...today we are going to have a beautiful day! 60 degrees and lots of sunshine! WooHoo!
I noticed yesterday while walking the dogs that my daffodils & tulips are starting to come up!
A sure sign that spring is almost here!

Today's card is one that my card lady requested for a young girl at church.
It's a good thing that I kept the Inspired Events stamp set from a few years ago.

Card Details:

Stamps: Inspired Events (retired)
Ink: Highland Heather
Cardstock: Highland Heather, Basic White, Highland Heather DSP
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Tailored Tag Punch, Detailed Trio Punch, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I probably should make a few more of these to keep on my card rack.
At Christmastime the stamp girls cleared some of the pockets on my big card rack so I started working on refilling those pockets.
I made a bunch of Happy New Year cards earlier this week.
Next I will move on to making belated birthday cards in between card orders.
Yes, my card lady already hit me up for a few things for her next order.
She keeps me very busy!

Fun Pocket Card

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

We've been having some really nice weather here in Pennsylvania the last few days and I have not been downstairs to stamp the last 2 days. Today I plan too if I get all my other chores done! My hubby was off yesterday that is why i'm off my schedule.

I have a cool card to share today using the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set!

My card starts with a Blushing Bride cardbase that measures 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2 and again at 1 1/4. Then I adhered each side of the card on the inside to create the pocket. The 1 1/4 inch flap is folded to the outside then I used the Detailed Trio Punch on the corners to round them. I added my Sand & Sea DSP to the front with 2 different prints.
I created the pull out tag using a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock measuring 3 1/4 x 4 1/2. Then a piece of Basic White measuring 3 x 4 1/4. I rounded the corners at just the top of the pull out tag. Then I used my retired Round Top Tab Punch and punched out a So Saffron piece to use as a pull tab. This punch has been retired for many years but I always reach for it when I make Pocket Cards!
The focal sentiment on the front of the card was diecut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Circle Layering Framelits.
The sentiment comes from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set. The shells are from the Seaside Shells Dies. I stamped them on various cardstocks and diecut them out. I love the different colors!
Lastly, I added a Blushing Bride twine bow and some Opal Rounds.
The Opal Rounds are very pretty!

Card Details:

Stamps: Friends Are Like Seashells, Sentiment on tag from Stampendous
Ink: Blushing Bride, So Saffron
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Basic White, Sand & Sea DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Seaside Shells Dies, Detailed Trio Punch, Round Tab Punch (retired), Blushing Bride Twine, Opal Rounds, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I made these last couple of Friends Are Like Seashells for on my card rack.
I had no beachy style cards left on it so with summer on our heals I thought I better get some made!
This is a wonderful suite of products which is carrying over to the new 2021-2022 Stampin Up Annual Catalog come May 4th. The only thing not carrying over is the gorgeous Sand & Sea DSP! So if you like this paper you'd better grab it before it's gone.
I do think this is one of Stampin Up's best seashell sets that I have seen and I like all the sentiments included in it!

Daffodils are my favorite spring flower!
Yesterday we drove past a local farm that their entire property was lined with daffodils! It was so neat & very pretty!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the sunshine today!

Delightful Day

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is here and my hubby took a week off work for vacation.
We are going to run to Sam's Club today after his doctor appointment then I have a card order to deliver. By early afternoon more rain is to move in after a beautiful day yesterday!
Then we are going to get a blast of winter. Mother Nature is confused for sure!
We are also going to get started on painting the downstairs this weekend!
I have been asking to do that for the last year or so and it's finally going to happen!
I'm excited about that but I know it's going to kill my hands & back but sometimes we just have to do what we have to do!

So, if you have been following along with me all week you know that I have been pulling out the retiring stamp sets and making cards with them.
Today I am using Delightful Day...
It only came out last June and truthfully it's a great set but not one that I have reached for too much.

This card is loaded with retiring product!
First off, the inks are Blueberry Bushel & Call Me Clover which were In Colors for 2018-2020 and they sadly will be leaving us at the end of the month.
The Call Me Clover ribbon & enamel dots as well.
The paper on this one is from the Noble Peacock Suite and it is a foil print!
Very pretty and this is the first time I have broke the pack of DSP open and now it's retiring, too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Delightful Day
Ink: Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Noble Peacock Foil Sheets, Noble Peacock Specialty DSP
Accessories: Stitched Nested Dies, Detailed Trio Punch (corner), Call Me Clover Grosgrain Ribbon, Call Me Clover Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I hope that you enjoyed seeing some cards I made this week with retiring stamps, ink & paper!
All of these stamp sets will not be leaving my collection so you will see them again in the future!
