One Big Meaning

Hello & Happy Monday!

Last day of April already!
Where does the time go?

I have a very busy week ahead with doing some painting (which will probably kill me) and then preparing for a stamp get together with my friends later this week. Thankfully, my card kits are all cut & ready. All I need to do is rearrange my stamp room and bake a cake!

Before my week gets crazy, I want to share a card I made for a friend to thank her for a surprise gift she sent me in the mail last weekend. It made my day!

Card Details:

Stamps: One Big Meaning
Ink: Basic Black
Cardstock: Pool Party. Whisper White, Basic Black, A Whole Lot of Lovely DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, SU Eyelet Border Punch, Pool Party Enamel Dots, Pool Party Twine, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Thank you, Cindy!
Your surprise gift was much appreciated!

Covered Notepads

Hello & Happy Sunday!

A cool and windy day is on tap here. Big change from yesterday!
Going to be a down day here. Yesterday we did alot, even got the AC's put back in for the big warm up that's to come this week. Kelsey & Shady are to come to visit this afternoon so Shady can play in the yard with Gigi & Bailee.

Today I have 2 more covered notepads to share.
These were made last week one day as I was trying to use up a few notepads I had lying around.

This notepad was made using many different things. Cardstock colors are Marina Mist & Soft Sky. The patterned paper is Crate Paper. The doily is Martha Stewart. Sentiment is one I picked up a
long time ago at AC Moore and there is no sticker on it.
I really like the pretty colors of this one!

This notepad was made with Stampin Up's Tutti Fruitti DSP. The sentiment is from the Waterfront stamp set. The diecut leaf and piece under the sentiment are from the Flourish Thinlits. Lastly I added some clear rhinestones and a Real Red Taffeta bow.

I still have 2 more notepads on my shelf in my stamp room that I will fancy up soon!

You're the Best!!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

It's a sunny morning here in PA but I don't think it will last as they are calling for some rain to come thru later today bringing with it a cold front. Lots of things on the agenda today and hopefully one thing will be a bike ride.

I wanted to share a card I made for my hubby the other day.
He is my biggest fan and truthfully, I hardly ever make him cards, except for his birthday.
He does so much for me and I wanted him to know how much he is loved and VERY much appreciated.

Since I had the Watercolor Words set already out on my desk I decided to ink it up again. Sadly, this set is retiring and i've barely used it in the few months i've had it. It's one of those sets that will remain in my collection for along time (along with 1000 other stamp sets!).

Card Details:

Stamps: Watercolor Words, Work of Art (inside saying "you")
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White
Acccessories: Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, Glue Dot, Real Red Enamel Heart, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

The bow was in my stash and for some reason I felt I needed to use it. In all honesty though, I think I could have done with out it! Oh well, still was a cute card and I think he liked it!

Butterfly Basics

Hello & Happy Friday!

A rainy day is on tap again so I will most likely be in my craft room most of the day.
I am working on some card kits to share with my friends next week and I always enjoy creating cards for us to make!

Yesterday I sat and made a card for a Facebook Live Challenge from over at Debbie Henderson's blog. She was a teammate of mine when we were both on the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge.
I visit her blog almost everyday and have reconnected with her. She does Facebook Live where she teaches card classes and many different techniques. I have learned how to do the Smooching Technique thru her and this is the card I made for her card class.

Every week she gives her watchers measurements for cardstock and gives suggestions for a stamp set so that people can stamp along with her. For this card she asked for the Dragonfly Dreams set which I did not have so I pulled out my Butterfly Basics stamp set which happens to be retiring soon.

Card Details:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics
Ink: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette
Cardstock: Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Glossy
Accessories: Spritzer Bottle with Rubbing Alcohol, Truly Tailored Tag Punch, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was happy to find a pack of Glossy cardstock from way back in 2002!
It came from Stampin Up! and back then we just had a small tag on it with the item number, nothing like we have today!

I am quite happy with this card!
I am going to try to recreate something to make with my stamp friends next week.
I think they will enjoy something different!

Thanks Debbie for teaching this class! I enjoyed it!

Watercolor Words

Hello & Happy Thursday!

After a day of rain we are in for some sunshine today!
It is a welcomed sight, too!

Today I have a card to share that I made for a friend's birthday that I realized I was late for!
I'm usually on top of birthdays but this year I never wrote anyone's birthdays on my calendar.
Sad I know!

Here is the card I made with the retiring Watercolor Words.

Card Details:

Stamps: Watercolor Words
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

It's such a fun stamp set and the colors just pop on this one!
I think my friend will like it!

Ordained Priest

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

A rainy day is on tap here which makes for a great crafting day!

I worked on a card yesterday for my customer who requested a card for a priest that will be ordained in June. That was a bit of a toughie for me and I did some searching for inspiration!! I found a card using the Springtime Foils DSP from SaleABration and decided to give it a go. Since I do not have the Stampin Blends, I used my Copic Markers and colored in the leaves on this particular sheet of paper. Then I layered it onto a piece of Gold Foil and built my card from there.

Thankfully, I had the Hold on to Hope Bundle to use on this card too!
At first I wasn't sure I would get enough use out of this set but i'm pleased that my customer requests could be fulfilled with using it!

Card Project:

Stamps: Hold on to Hope
Ink: Versamark, Gold EP
Cardstock: Pool Party, Gold Foil, Springtime Foils DSP (SAB '18)
Accessories: Crosses of Hope Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Gold Metallic Enamel Dot, Copic Markers, Heat Gun, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This cross framelit is absolutely beautiful and I hope my customer will like this!

Wedding Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Yesterday was a busy day with housework and laundry and then I made myself get on my bike and take a 7 mile ride! Our weather was pretty nice so I was trying to take advantage of it while we have it!

Today I got to my stamp table and made some cards.
The card I have today is one I made last week for a card order.
My customer requested a wedding card to coordinate with the wedding invite.

Here is the wedding invite and I know it's hard to tell but it is printed on Shimmery Cardstock.

I was trying to match up the pretty flower and I felt this DSP had a similar looking flower in it but is definitely busier than the invite. I'm sure my customer will still like it as she always tells me not to stress over cards! LOL

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Shimmery White, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Sweet Soiree' Specialty DSP
Accessories: Top Note Die, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Silver Trimmed Ribbon, Silver Enamel Dots, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Feather Together

Hello & Happy Saturday!

A nice day is on tap, finally!
This morning the sun is shining and that makes me happy!
My puppies are at doggy day spa this morning for their every 6 week makeovers. They will be hungry & tired when they get back home and then will crash & burn the rest of the afternoon.

Today I have a set of cards to show that were made for a card order.
They asked for anything with plaid paper....and I am a sucker for plaid paper!

As I was purging thru things in my stamp room this past week I came across this sheet of paper from Chatterbox. I probably have had it in my stash for atleast 10 years! I'm sure I am not the only paper hoarder, am I?

Card Details:

Stamps: Feather Together
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Old Olive, Whisper White, Chatterbox Paper
Accessories: Night of Navy Twine, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This set came together so easily and will be very mail friendly!
I'm trying to get better about keeping my cards from being too bulked up that I have to pay for extra postage but sometimes I just love lots of layer, ribbon & dimension!
What's a crafter to do?!

Covered Notepads

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a good week!

My project I have to share today is a couple of notepads that I had in my stash that I added some cardstock & pretty papers to boot!

I covered my 5 X 8 inch sized notepad with Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and added some very pretty Petal Garden DSP to it. My sentiment comes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. The RSVP Pen also has some of the same DSP in the barrel.

This notepad is covered with one of my favorite SaleABration papers this year called Bubbles & Fizz! Love, love, love every design & print in the pack! I have 3 packs of this so it should last me a long while! LOL My sentiment comes from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and again I used a piece of the same DSP in the barrel of the pen.

I have a few more notepads lying around that I want to get used up. I had a friend ask about notebooks and actually had none made up except holiday ones. I will get the rest all prettied up so the next time I see her I will have plenty on hand! These do make a nice gift, too!

*****************************************************
My thoughts today....

I know I have been MIA the last several weeks.
Seems my mojo has left the building or I could easily blame it on our weather.

I will say that I am SO excited for the new Stampin Up Annual Catalog to go live on June 1st!
There has been a color change up to our basic color groups plus we have some gorgeous new In Colors coming in!  I have taken time to clean out all the retired stuff to make room for the new goodies and then did some rearranging of my stamp room. It was time to purge alot of my leftover craft show stuff, too! Since I no longer do craft shows it was time to get rid of what was leftover taking up space. I think I am now ready for all the new goodies that are to come!

So, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have yourself a great day!

Hold on to Hope

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Here we had temps in the 80's Friday & Saturday.
Saturday was a bit too much for me as I am not a fan of hot weather.
Sunny and 70's is my motto!
Yesterday & today we are getting rain. Some heavy and some just showers but nonetheless, it's a gloomy day! I sure hope my lilac bush is enjoying this nice watering and brings me some beautiful lilacs soon! They always smell so amazing!

Today I have a cute card to share using the Hold on to Hope Bundle that is in the Occasions Mini Catalog. It is a million dollar achiever stamp set created by Brandy Cox after she achieved her 1 million in sales. The new catalog that is set to release June 1st 2018 is filled with many million dollar stamp sets and it's very exciting!

When I first saw this stamp set I was immediately taken with that beautiful cross!
Here I stamped the plain cross with Calypso Coral and stamped off first to get a lighter image. I diecut it with the matching framelit. Then I diecut the fancy cross with it's matching framelit and layering it on top of my stamped off cross. The greens are stamped with Pear Pizzazz and diecut out with it's coordinating framelit.

Card Details:

Stamps: Hold on to Hope
Ink: Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Accessories: Crosses of Hope Framelits, Clear Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This bundle is a wonderful one to have in your collection and will still be available until the end of May. It is being carried over into the new catalog but you will no longer be able to get the extra 10% off of it since it will be sold separately.
